I was very happy I came upon this place, as soon as we walked in it was warm and inviting. Everything freshly made and very tasty. We got 2 hero cheeseburger and fries. Which were cooked perfectly and the house made buns were really soft. Also got a half dozen donut, the cereal milk and chocolate cream were my favorite. I highly recommend this place. It wasnt too busy and everything came out fast.

Extremely friendly staff. Fresh squeezed orange juice. Breakfast sandwiches are unique and fresh and they also have kolaches. Indoor and outdoor seating is spacious. And the DONUTS - simply to die for.

Food, atmosphere, and service was incredible! I ordered the Top It with chicken sausage (the secret sauce on this thing was the best!), the Hero Breakfast Plate (hubby loved the hashbrowns!) and the Sugar & Spice donut (baked beautifully, hit the spot) with coffee. Really enjoyed the outdoor patio on a Sunday morning and will be returning again.

I love a good bologna sandwich. They have the best fried bologna Ive had yet. Great job on all our food from ranch fries and chicken nuggets to our donuts. All with great service in a neat stylish clean place. Fantastic job yall!

I thoroughly enjoyed each donut Ive tried this far. They are quite hardy, so in my opinion you get your moneys worth. They are located next door to my favorite hot dog shop so its a sin to not visit both when in Summerhill. The original vanilla glazed donut is sweet, but not too sweet with a sort of airiness that makes it the perfect companion to a glass of cold milk. I also enjoyed the cinnamon roll donut as well. Unfortunately, I was too greedy to photograph all that Ive tried, but trust me they are GOOD.

Came in for a Saturday lunch, and ate out on their patio. Hero is a great spot in Summer if if you wanna grab lunch or breakfast.Along with their doughnuts, they have a nice selection of sandwiches and burgers. I was very satisfied with my food.No need to worry about parking in the Summerhill area. Theres plenty!

This review is for donuts only. We went at 11:15 on a Sunday. They still had all of their donuts available. They also had the Bread Pudding donut, even though the menu says they only have it on Tuesdays and Thursdays.We got a half dozen donuts. Here’s what we got, in order of my preference:- Cookies and Cream ($2.59): the icing on top made it good- Pistachio ($2.59): good, but it just tasted like regular icing with pistachios on top- Maple Sea Salt ($2.59): very sweet/salty- OG - Vanilla ($1.89): just okay- Blueberry Crumble ($2.59): didn’t have much flavor at all- Bread Pudding ($3.59): will never get this again and do not recommend; they are not lying when they say it’s bread pudding; it was shaped like a donut with the texture of bread pudding; it just seemed like it was leftover donuts all mashed together from the days beforeWe got coffee. They don’t do iced coffee. If you want iced coffee, they only do cold brew. The coffee was average.Overall, we weren’t that impressed. It was very expensive for basic donuts with different toppings. If we were to go back, it wouldn’t be for their donuts. We would try their lunch or breakfast buns, but we’ll get our donuts elsewhere.

Right in the heart of Summerhill. Hero offers a great selection of doughnuts and sandwiches (buns), and also features a spacious patio and well-spaced dining area. I got the Butterbeer Doughnut (for Harry Potter’s birthday) and their chocolate/peanut butter doughnut. I also tried their fried pork roll bun.The bun was fairly large, filling, and tasty. Was honestly surprised how big it was. Doughnuts were also very tasty, and I loved the different options they featured. Staff seemed super eager and knowledgeable about all the different doughnut types.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good lunch, or hankering for a unique doughnut. Can’t wait for the days to cool down a bit so I can frequent the patio more, too. Atlanta has a lot of doughnut competition these days!

This place was great! I only gave it 4 stars because the flavor difference between doughnuts was very minimal. They all tasted very similar even though they are very different flavors. I would have loved to experience more differences in the flavors. Overall I would be back. The vibe was awesome. Doughnuts were great. There was seating outside next to a hotdog place that provided great covering. They Hero Doughnuts patio has less covering but is surrounded by pretty flowers. The atmosphere is bright and inviting. They also offer more food options that I want to try next time!

Their boston cream donut is superb! Incredible smooth cream and the chocolate has crunchy chocolates on top. The best boston cream in Atlanta. The other donuts are very good. Nice yeast based donuts. Will be back! They definitely rival Revolution and Sublime!

These doughnuts are amazing. They almost melt in your mouth. The flavors are out of this world. I cannot say that I have a favorite because the cookies and cream & Boston cream were good, but the banana pudding was amazing

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy! These doughnuts are light and chewy in texture. The flavors are simply delicious and the icing is perfectly sweet.

AMAZING Staff and atmosphere. The location has convenient parking in the back. The cookies and creme doughnut was heavenly super fresh and light. The buffalo super crunch sandwich was divine. Everything is made fresh daily and I will be back to try out their breakfast items soon.

Hero Doughnuts just opened up 3 days ago in the Summerhill neighborhood, and it was delicious! We tried out 4 donuts, a breakfast sandwich, and a double stack burger. Everything was tasty! I’d like to come back and try other things on the menu too. Seems like they serve breakfast all day. Lots on the menu.

OMG! 10 out of 10 recommend. I think I actually might right two 5-star reviews because 10 stars wasn’t an options. Where do I start? I got the Dad Burger which was so delicious my patty had the perfect crunch to it, the burger was perfectly saucy, and the bun was so delicious and soft. This was my first time here so I HAD to order a donut solely because the name is Hero’s Donuts, right? I ordered the Oreo donut and honestly I’m glad I wasn’t able to finish my review in the parking lot because I didn’t get to taste my donut until later. I ate it hours later and the donut was still so moist and it had a good amount of icing in the donut. I ordered to go but they did have alcoholic beverages. Next time I visit I definitely plan to eat in . Definitely one of the best burger places in Atlanta. TRY IT!

We love this place in Birmingham so when I found out one was where we lived we had to go! It was just as delicious and the staff was so nice. Everyone wearing masks and gloves. Will definitely come back!

Newly opened donut and sandwich shop. I understand the sandwiches are great but we came just for donuts. Nice selection but a little pricy. Cinnamon bun was super sweet even for a cinnamon bun. Staff and facility were great and there is an area for outdoor seating.

Hero burger was delicious and the crispy hash browns were a great side item. Donuts were freshly made and a sweet treat. Ju-Ju cooked the hamburgers perfectly.

Underwhelming donuts. The taste of the donut itself is not bad but the toppings were not good. Tried a variety and the strawberry was the best while the sugar & spice donut had zero flavor. Its not in the picture because we tossed it since we disliked it so much. Two of the others were King Cake and Valentines special. Will say that we wanted different ones but ran out of three donuts while we were in line.

I love this place. The breakfast sandwiches are where its at, if you go here and get one thing get a breakfast sandwich, the buns are beautiful, the bacon is thick, and the sauces complement.The doughnuts are also good. But Im a self proclaimed doughnut freak. Id say these arent as good as revolution, dutch monkey or five daughters. BUT theyre a GREAT middle of the road doughnut, significantly better than Krispy Kreme, davinci doughnuts, dunkin or sublime!

Donuts are a top 5 food for me, I LOVE them. These donuts were disappointing unfortunately. The blueberry tastes like old grease, the filled donuts have a very bland almost milk flavored filling, the maple was just ok. Probably the best I tried was the Cereal Milk but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. I love a mom and pop donut shop, unfortunately this one missed the mark for me.

We got there at around 1015 am on a Sunday and they were already sold out of a bunch of the donuts we wanted. They also didnt have a lot of the donuts on the regular menu, but rather some unlisted specials. Now the base donut it delicious. The perfect, light enriched dough. I usually prefer a cake donut but these were good. However they lost me with the toppings. Everything just tasted like sweet sugar, no real difference between flavors. Youre better off just getting the OG. There are better donut places around so we probably wont be back.

We stumbled upon Heros on our way to the zoo and so glad we did! The donuts were great, the breakfast sammiches were yummy, and the square hashbrowns were delightful. And we topped it all of with mimosas! This business opened almost a year ago, during the covid year, and my husband and I enjoy supporting small companies that step up and take on a big challenge. Stop and get some grub on your way to the zoo!

I like the food but 4 of 5 times my order will be wrong or missing something 😩 It’s so exhausting. Then the tone of the employee is as I am being bothersome. I order through door dash, then I have to call to confirm that they understand I don’t want any sauces on my sandwich. The response is always: if it’s noted on the special request/ticket we will not add it on the sandwich.. Sike! 😞 And 4 of 5 times they will add the the sauces. I am a fan of the sandwiches and hashbrowns but not the house sauces. The sauces are not bad but I like jelly on my breakfast sandwiches vs tangy and/or mayo based sauces. So I have to wipe off the sauces more times than not. Here’s the thing- mistakes happen but when I try to call to stop the error, I get the blow off treatment. I’m paying a total of $35 (door dash fees, tip and food) So I just want my order right when it arrives. I ordered 8 times via door dash. And picked up 4 times since February.

I heard about this place from a friend of mine. So I went to try the donuts. They were delicious. Today, I tried a burger and fries. Again, delicious. The food is definitely made with love.

The girl working as cashier could have been friendlier, she just stared at me when I was trying to make my decision about which donuts I wanted- didn’t offer any help or ask if it was my first time there but anyway the donuts are delicious so I will be back, I’ll just order curbside next time. Also if you are ordering 4 or more they should go in a box not a bag for the toppings to fall off in my opinion .

This place is the best. The sugar and spice is my personal favorite, decadently airy and not too sweet. Dont sleep on the cookies and cream either! **Long review**I found out about this gem through my cousin Adrienas food blog, Food Is My Classroom. I had some time today, so I stopped to check them out! I ordered a blueberry cake donut and orange juice. Then I figured I might as well order lunch and take it with me, so I turned around and ordered the hero burger combo. I waited to I got to the car and started eating the donut it was the bomb! You here me! I was so mad at myself for only getting one donut and oh the juice was good too. Fast forward to my lunch time. I bought this burger around 10:30 am I didnt get to eat my lunch til around 5pm.. When I say when I warmed it up to eat, it looked and taste like they just handed it to me! The fries were good! Im so pleased with my first experience! Im definitely telling people about this place. Next time Im ordering the hash browns! My cousin says its a MUST!!!

I got the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Holy buns, Batman! The bun was like a cloud. It was buttery and delicious! I dont know what sauce they use but it was such a yummy balance between the egg, the saltines of the cheese, and the buttery bun. I also got the iced coffee, which had that good ice, and was strong and good. Highly recommend Hero Donuts!!

I got the breakfast bun with bacon, egg, and cheese. Overall, it was delicious! The bun, especially, was perfect: light and fluffy and buttery. My only complaint is that there was way too much sauce on the sandwich and I had to wipe it off with a napkin. Tasted great after that though. After tasting the bun I will definitely be back to try some donuts, they smelled amazing. (Other reason they lost a star is that at least one employee had their mask pulled down over their chin and they allow in person dining in a pretty small space. Ill prob wait until covid is over to come back.)

A little pricey for the type of doughnut

We went right in the middle of the Sunday brunch rush. Our order was accurate, completed in about 14 minutes(lots of different little things) and made deliciously. The kitchen staff in so in sync that they barely even had to speak to each other to keep cranking out such great food.The doughnuts are stellar, especially the pistachio and apple fritter, but dont overlook their lunch items on some of the best buns in the city. We will be back soon. This place is great motivation to work out hard and then eat all of those calories immediately again. And again. Oh yeah, and again.

We tried the Hero Burger, Dad Burger, and the Buffalo Super Crunch. The buns are delish, the patties are just the right thickness, and those yummy fresh pickles... Y’all, those burgers are soo fresh and soo good! Of course, the Buffalo Super Crunch was excellent as well... perfectly crispy and sauced all at the same time!Now, the doughnuts.... Swoon!! They are soo fluffy and melt in your mouth!! Our crew tried an assortment of doughnuts, and none of them disappointed, for sure! We certainly bought extra for breakfast in the morning!!I can’t forget to mention the exceptional service... The employees were all very friendly, patient with our group, and our orders were brought to us quickly! The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and such a fun, relaxed environment. Plus, there is plenty of outdoors seating... certainly a plus on nice days, Covid, days, and busy game days!! It will definitely be a go-to restaurant for us in Atlanta!
