Horrible animal cruelty commercials. A bad example for kids. I cant believe the humane society has not insisted on pulling the commercials. Nothing funny about showing any living animal in a refrigerator or clothes dryer.

I absolutely love my new Pantheon mattress and adjustable base that I purchased at Colton Mattress Factory. I have back problems, and the mattress has given me extraordinary relief. It provides excellent support, but still cradles the body without any pressure points. I am sleeping so much better! I would highly recommend Colton Mattress to anyone looking for a new mattress. The staff is very knowledgeable in helping choose or build the right mattress, and the customer service is excellent.

Recently moved to Asheville and dreaded having to buy a new mattress. Had bought a mattress in a box for our last mattress which was fine but started losing support quickly.Colton was recommended to us and we decided to check it out. We especially liked the fact that the mattress could be flipped, and that it was a local business. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and helped us determine which mattress would work for us. The mattress was constructed and delivered on schedule. Sleeping so well! Would definitely recommend!

I recently bought a queen size mattress from Colton and love it. In fact, I had forgotten how good it felt to get a good nights sleep until now. They took their time and had me test out several mattresses in the showroom to make sure I was getting the right firmness. Then, they handmade the mattress for me. Ill never sleep on anything else!

These guys do great work. The mattresses are custom made and a better quality than most of the ones you can get at the big box mattress stores. We were going to buy a mattress from Mattress Firm but read about Colton Mattress online. We stopped in and were sold on them the moment we tried out their mattresses. The owner told us they were handmade right their on location. Their mattresses are INCREDIBLY comfortable. We also like supporting our local economy instead of a big chain (we own a local business, too). We highly recommend!

I stopped at this location ready to buy a mattress. They had three people in the store working. There was one person finishing up a persons sale and another couple in the store looking at a mattress. Two of the associates told me they would be right with me which was very kind. One gentleman was busy with paperwork and was sort of helping the couple out. They asked him some questions and he answered them from afar. I stood there waiting for almost 5 to 10 minutes. He walked over and was going to help them when the phone rang. He chose to answer the phone instead of continuing to help the couple OR help me. He started asking the person on the phone what type of firmness they wanted???? Really? Why is customer service so foreign in our world today? It was obvious that the call was more important than either of the clients that were standing there wanting to buy. He could have easily allow the call to go to vm and contact them later. It is really disheartening that I try to shop local but yet I really felt slighted. :(

The sales room service at Colton Mattress is excellent. We purchased a mattress several months ago and were told that it could be adjusted within a certain timeframe. We ask to have it adjusted, but we were told to wait until the mattress was more broken in. What is broken in is my back. I hurt every morning after sleeping on our new Colton Mattress. Our old mattress never made my back hurt, but this one does. Already looking for another mattress after spending $2000 on the current one back in the Spring.

Im in my 70s, have arthritis, and am overweight. I made the mistake of trying a foam mattress, and it was a painful disaster - far more than just uncomfortable. My sister Jamie is a massage therapist and had purchased a Colton mattress several years ago. She recommended I go to Colton. In my opinion, Mike is a therapist in his own right. We stopped in to take a look at their flippable orthopedic mattresses and were impressed with the selection they offered. They seem like they produce a quality product and have a wide selection to pick from. Their boxsprings also are made of durable material and heavy duty in nature. We purchased a Pantheon firm with plus top mattress and so look forward to having a wonderful night sleep on this model which has a 15 year warranty. I look forward to going back to the days of flipping mattresses because I think it will last a heck of a lot longer than my previous one. What was wonderful was that they are willing to work with you on the overall height of your mattress & boxspring, the thickness of the boxspring and extra edge guards of your mattress, so they will customize a mattress based on your needs & wants, and this is so unheard of in the industry, very impressive. And if you are flexible on your timeframe for delivery you will get exactly what you need and they are appreciative.

Ive had one of Mikes mattresses now for over 10 years. Its the best mattress Ive ever had! Do yourself a favor and buy your next mattress from Mike. Youll be glad you did.

We have tried 5 mattress brands in the last 10 years and all have failed to give a restful nights sleep. When we finally found Coltane Mattress we were at our wits end. I bought a mattress 10 years ago from a store on Hendersonville road. It was fine as far as I knew. I mean I slept on it and had no problems right? I had aches and pains, once in a while a stiff neck but thats not because of the bed right? Wrong. Once I bought the Colton Artisan extra firm mattress I realized that I had not been sleeping as well as I should. A person doesnt have to wake up with occasional back spasms and neck pain. Who knew?Mike was friendly and low key. The price was reasonable. I had read about Colton in Mountain Express and it struck me that they were the only place Id heard of that was making a consumer product right here in Asheville. I worried that the mattress would be out of my reach financially so I had procrastinated about coming in to see what they had. But I finally did stop in and bought a mattress that day. Delivery was also very reasonable and they took away the unwanted mattress no extra charge. If you want quality, made locally by your neighbors and at a reasonable price, go to Coltons. You will be satisfied.

10 years ago my husband was searching for a mattress for us. It was very important that he get the right one because of my bad health. I suffer from advance stage fibromyalgia and at that time also endrometriosis. After much research we decided to go speak to Mike at Colton. He listen to our concerns and gave us a few options that fit our needs. We took a leap of faith and decided to purchase one hoping for the best. This was 10 years ago. WE HAVE ZERO REGRETS!! I feel like buying a mattress is like buying a car (but less expensive). Its a big risk because its a big purchase that you will have for 8-10 years. It has a big impact on your daily life. You typically cant return it. And, you never know if warranties will be respected. I bought a Colton mattress two months ago. Colton was the third store I went to. The first store was fine, but I was nervous about the horrible warranty reviews on the national brand. The second store, the saleswoman was so salesy that I felt like I was at a slimy, used-car dealer. She kept saying, Oh dont worry about the price. Finally, feeling frustrated I went to Colton. Mike was calm, patient, and there was no pressure. He explained how the mattresses were made and left me to lay on several. I left to do some more research. I came back a day or two later and bought a latex mattress. After it was delivered I realized it wasnt the mattress I ordered. I was ordering a latex with springs and I got one without springs. I slept on it a night or two and hated it. I called Mike. He said it was no problem and said hed change it out. However, I was leaving town for 2 weeks the next day. He said no problem to just call when I got back. We went to the store and tested the mattresses again. We actually ended up getting something slightly different than the first order. It was such a seamless process. Mike clearly just wanted us to have the mattress that was a good fit for us. We ended up with a plush latex top with springs. My back loves it! I purchased a Colton Pantheon queen size mattress from here on 4-8-09. It is very pluch, and has a 4 inch latex foam topper built into it. I shopped the colton store, sleepworld on airport rd, and ashley. For the softness and quality of the mattress, Colton gave me the best price i could find. I paid 995 out the door for it, and it is worth every penny. It is super comfortable, and feels just as good as an expensive (2500 dollar) kingsdown mattress that another member of my family has. I was pleased witht he experience, the service was excellent, they delivered it the same day and took away my old mattress quickly. I had never heard of the colton brand, but last night was the best nights sleep i have ever had. I would recommend stopping in there and seeing what they have to offer you if you are shopping of a mattress! -Chris, Fairview, NC
