My teenager wanted a vivid color, and Terra did an amazing job! Starting with naturally dark hair, she piled on tons of nuanced color. The overall result was teal, but there were several beautiful hues of blue and blue-green throughout. To top things off, the color is still beautiful six months later! (First photo is the day after the color was done, second photo is after a haircut six months later.)Terra really listened to what my kid wanted and was helpful, polite, and professional. It was a great experience, and the teal color has been absolutely beautiful.

Noelle and Danielle did our hair and makeup for my wedding and were AMAZING! I really wanted someone who I could trust to work with my natural curls and Noelle was the only one I found who was proud enough of natural hair designs to post them on her social media. My hair was styled beautifully without heat and stayed all day long. The bridesmaids hair that wouldnt hold curls previously looked great all night. Danielle did our airbrush makeup and managed to cover the massive bags under my eyes from zero sleep the night before. She also did the up-dos seen in the pictures. Both women were professional, did amazing work and made everyone feel so beautiful and safe! Highly recommend them for your wedding day!

To reply to the response from the owner: I know all salons are booked weeks out, but the fact that I cannot even get in touch with an actual person to book an appointment for whenever there is availability is unacceptable for any business. Funny how I cannot get in touch with someone to book an appointment, but theyre quick to respond to a Google review. Disappointing.Seriously why is it SO HARD to get in touch with someone to book an appointment? I have called four times, on different days at different times and no one will answer. I left a voicemail two weeks ago asking for someone to get back to me and havent heard from anyone. Its like they dont care for business. I cant book online since the service I need (yet they provide) is not listed on there, hence why I tried calling. I have a LOT of work that needs to be done but apparently they dont want the business. I was really looking forward to going to this salon. What a shame.

Background info - I live in Charlotte, NC, and was getting married in Asheville, NC. I needed to book hair and makeup for my husband and Is wedding on short notice. I did not have time to do a trial prior to the Friday before my wedding.From the first call, I knew I trusted Beauty Parade with my hair and makeup for my wedding. They fit me in for a trial on Friday for the real deal on Saturday. Upon entering the salon, the ambiance is laid back, trendy, and relaxing.On Friday, Tara did my makeup first. It looked amazing, however, it was super comfortable to talk with her about the minor things I wanted to change for my wedding the next day. She was relaxed and super easy to talk to about changes. I showed Tara a picture of the wedding hair I wanted and her confidence and passion for hair took over. It looked great, but I was still comfortable enough to tell her things we should change the next day.On Saturday, my sister and I went to the salon together. Tara was confident and did everything PERFECTLY for me. She let us pop a bottle of champagne and even took pictures of us popping the bottle and taking our first sip. I cant even express how thankful I was that I went to her salon for this experience. I felt beautiful and have gotten NUMEROUS compliments on my appearance.BOOK THIS PLACE FOR YOUR WEDDING!!!

Noelle did wedding hair and makeup for me and my MOH this past weekend and did a fantastic job! I dont know much about hair and makeup and she was able to take the reigns and do what she does best. I went to the Beauty Parade along with my bridesmaids, mother, and future mother-in-law to get our hair and make-up done for our wedding.Noelle nailed both the hairstyle and make up during our trial a few months before and both looked even better the day of my actual wedding, even with a few adjustments that I wanted to make. She has the best personality that put me at ease and was also super fun. I would go back to her in a heartbeat.The other stylists and make-up artists were also fab and did a great job on the other women. Everyone left happy and feeling gorgeous and raving about the place I selected.I was especially impressed that they were able to accommodate a last minute hair / make up add and still get us out in time. These ladies are experts in their field for sure and can handle anything you throw at them. When I initially called, I was asked about my style and the style of the wedding so they knew who to pair me up with and it was a perfect match. I seriously cant say enough about the Beauty Parade. Erin has been my stylist since I first moved to Asheville over 2 years ago. I wouldn’t go to anyone else! I’ve been just about every color from blue to gray with long layers and bobs and bangs and never once been disappointed. She is attentive, a perfectionist and passionate about her career. Kind and caring and the best conversationalist, she even works well with my son and husband who are less enthusiastic than me about haircuts.

I made an appointment at Beauty Parade for the first time a few days ago. I have been searching for a new salon without much luck for the past couple years. I was looking for a pretty dramatic change, so I did A LOT of research before choosing to make an appointment with Noelle. She was great! She listened to what I wanted and talked me through the whole hair cut as she went (asking questions, making suggestions... just making sure we were on the same page). Noelle did an amazing job with my cut, and I have been really happy with it! I waited a couple of days to see if my hair stayed as manageable as she said it would, and I have not been disappointed. I will be returning to see Noelle to maintain my hair from now on!

Last Saturday was my first visit to Beauty Parade. Donna was amazing! She was so accommodating and listened to the frustrations I was having with my long curly hair. We figured out how it should be cut and what I can do to make my hair look great up or down. It has been a VERY long time since Ive felt happy and confident leaving a beauty salon and I will be back to see Donna for my next trim!

I love this place. I get a consistently great haircut every time. The stylists really listen to me about what I want and understand, in a way most dont, that I am sincerely and genuinely not going to style my hair, so I need a haircut that will accommodate that.Even better, I keep seeing the same faces there over the course of time and they seem happy. I find these things to be good indicators that people are well-treated, and thats important to me.

Noelle has been cutting and coloring my hair for more than 3 years and does a fabulous job. My hair is thick and dense so it’s not the easiest to style. When I first came it was because she had great reviews for short cuts. Since then we’ve grown it out and during the entire time my hair has looked great. I’m never disappointed when I leave (Or several weeks into my cut) Can’t imagine anyone else caring for my hair. The salon is friendly, easy to get to and they provide parking vouchers. It’s located near shopping and restaurants/pubs. 5 stars all around.

The salon is beautiful with a fun retro decor theme, and its always a comfortable temperature. The ladies who work there are friendly and laid-back. Its on the corner so there are windows and a ton of natural light. Ive been seeing Katie Fisher exclusively for two years because shes a PERFECTIONIST, and for something you wear every single day right on your noggin, I accept no less than perfection. She also gives me a mini head massage during my shampoo, and goes the extra mile when styling at the end of my cut. I LOVE that I can book my appointments online.

Danielle did an excellent job and LITERALLY saved my hair after years of using drugstore hair-dyes at home. A few years ago I had accidentally dyed my hair black (sounds crazy) and couldnt figure out a way to fix it. I explained my concerns to Danielle and she came up with a plan and executed it wonderfully! I told Danielle that I was moving back to PA, as I was just living in Asheville for an internship, and Danielle informed me about what hair color that I could buy at Sally Beauty so that I could keep up with my hair. This was my first time visit with Tara. I have been to other salons here in Asheville, and only got sub par to mediocre results, but Tara is tops at her game! She listens to what you would like to achieve, and will give you the results way beyond what you hoped for. I was trying to desperately grow out my gray hair, she did a wonderful job blending the gray throughout my hair and correcting the results of the past hair that had previously been highlighted orange! And the haircut is super. The results are beyond beautiful! Try her, you wont be sorry you did!!!!

I am thrilled that I found Katie at Beauty Parade. After so many hair disasters at other salons, I ended up with SHORT RED hair and desperately needed help! I always had long straight blonde hair. Katie rescued my hair! I will never go to another salon. She carefully returned my color back to light blonde without damaging my baby fine hair and has put together a plan for my hair style while my hair grows out.She is absolutely amazing with Framesi hair color. She is funny and so friendly! I completely trust her with my hair!

I went to Beauty Parade on June 27th, 2012 and was thoroughly disappointed. I had gone in to get my hair colored and cut for my birthday two days later. I have naturally light blonde hair and wanted highlights or an all over color to keep it light and sunny, instead I walked out with a dark blonde that had an awful orange tint especially where my roots were. When I tried to tell them that I wasnt happy with the color at all my stylist and the other stylists and receptionist working there all tried to tell me that it would just take time to get used to and that I should wait it out for a week or two. It has now been about a week and I still hate the color. I decided to call them yesterday and tell them again how unhappy I was and see if they would fix it (which is what most decent salons will do for an unsatisfied customer). After three phone calls and nothing getting resolved, I finally received a very rude message from the receptionist telling me that they did exactly what they were supposed to do and I had to live with the color, the only thing they would do was have me come in again for another full priced color appointment. I however had already spent all the money I could on my hair and cant afford another $125 appointment. I will never return and do not recommend this salon to anyone, based on their horrible customer service and unprofessional attitudes. Save yourself the money and go to a salon that will work with you if you leave unhappy....Update 2021: Definitely still feel the same as I did then...I am appalled anyone, especially a business owner, would treat a young customer who chose local her place for her birthday gift ($125 was a huge sum of money for a gift at the time and my mom and I decided to split the cost) with such a rude attitude and no help whatsoever. I cried for so long after being berated that day. Not a good look for the owner herself, if it were me, I would do anything to make my customer happy.

So glad I decided to give them another shot after a bad experience before. Katie was awesome

Friendly people and the absolute best mens haircut in all of WNC! I have been to a few other places in Asheville and none have compared to the Beauty Parade. Terra cuts my hair now. She somehow seems to one-up herself with every one of my visits. I have had other stylists as well and all of them have done an amazing job. If I ever leave Asheville, I will have to take the Beauty Parade with me.

I have been going to Beauty Parade for two years, since moving to Asheville from NYC. They are so freakin awesome. Theyre super friendly, and easy to communicate with. Ive got longish wavy hair, and recently started getting color services as well. I see Terra most of the time, but I have also gotten color from Melissa and Corlisa. Last time I was in there, Max cut my hair. One of the things that I love about this salon, is that they will do exactly what you ask them to. I have never walked out of there with a generic haircut when I asked for something else.

I really wanted to like this place, but this was the worst experience at a salon Ive had.I chose this salon because of its fantastic reviews and great photos. It started really good, Noelle was my stylist. The colour turned out alright, not even close to the example photos I showed but it looked okay, so I didnt mind. After I was made to feel like tipping was necessary when checking out, I even tipped Noelle directly, hoping it would keep me on good standing with the stylist. After the first wash at home, about half the color faded. I had asked for a color melt, darker on top and lighter at tips. It had faded so much my hair was all almost the same color. I had said I wanted it to last (and be permanent) and she assured me it would be. So after I get an email from Beauty Parade offering a satisfaction guaranteed that went into great detail about their customers satisfaction was their top priority and if you werent completely happy, to let them know and they would fix it free of charge (yay! Right? What a great policy). So two days after my appt I write back stating how my hair had faded drastically and also the color wasnt quite what Id wanted... I didnt want to get Noelle in trouble so I mentioned that overall my appt had gone well. I guess that was a mistake because I waited two weeks for a response with nothing. I finally messaged them on facebook only to get as a response: We got your email, we just didnt think it warranted a response.....Are you kidding me? I had ASKED FOR MY HAIR TO BE FIXED. Something your company offers if your customer isnt satisfied. And you dont response. I get more and more irritated because my hair is now almost exactly back to the color it had been before Id gone in. After back and forth with them refusing to fix anything and suggesting I just make another appt, I asked the owner to call me and she flat out refused. They have done nothing to offer me absolutely ANYTHING to make up for their screw up. My hair looks terrible and I paid them $125. What you want at the very least when your hair gets ruined is an offer to try to fix it again, but to be told we wont honor our policy and go away after what Id spent is ridiculous. Ive had bad cuts, Ive had bad attitudes, but this is beyond bad service. I wish I could take my money back and forget this place exists.

Great stylist but pricey.

I went to Beauty Parade for the first time ever last weekend and saw Drew there (at least I think that was his name). I asked that my hair, which was several inches past my shoulders, be trimmed to my collar bone (about 2 inches). Ive been growing it out from a pixie cut for a while now and still have some remaining odd layers, so I essentially asked for a long bob, nothing fancy. Drew made a few comments that felt like he was making fun of me for wanting a bob and then he proceeded to cut my hair about 2-3 inches above my collar bone. He also left the back longer than the front, which I didnt realize until I got home. He complained about being tired during my visit and I can only assume this is why he didnt listen to my requests or take time to ensure he gave me a good cut. Im used to stylists checking that the length is even, showing me the back, and asking for feedback at the end of the cut... none of that happened, I was just de-draped and scooted off to the register. Needless to say I was very unhappy with my experience and wont be returning to this salon.

My boyfriend and I both had an appointment this Saturday to get a cut. When we went in we told the receptionist both our names and said we were both there for a cut. She told my boyfriend to sit in the waiting area and told me I could go ahead and sit in my stylist (Melissa Toney) chair. It took an hour and a half to get my hair cut and the entire time my boyfriend sat and waited for his stylist who never came! No one ever acknowledged his appointment after the receptionist sat him down. After having to sit there for an hour and a half listening to all the other stylist who were on their break in the back gossiping, even his stylist (Hana) complaining to the other stylist about her no show (my boyfriend sitting less than 2 feet away from her) he was just wanting to leave. I paid for my cut and ran some other errands while I was in town. Once I got home I realized how horrible of a job the stylist did on my hair. Before she started cutting my hair I informed her I was trying to grow my hair out and eventually have it all one length, she cut so many layers in my hair when I washed it it felt like more than half of my hair was gone. I also told her I wanted straight across bangs which I already had but they just needed a very slight trim which she told me she could do. My bangs were not only lopsided they were very short (much shorted than what I ask for) and very crooked. I called the salon and ask for a refund, the receptionist told me the manager would call me back. I recieved a call from the receptionist who informed me the manager did not have time to call me back herself but she was told their policy is they do not give refunds they only do edits. I could come back and have my hair done by another stylist or by Terra (the manager/owner) herself. I informed the receptionist that was unacceptable. Why would I trust anyone from their salon to cut my hair again? She said thats all they could do for me that if I dont want them to retouch it they could not help me. I started to explain how my bangs are extremely short now that I would be scared for them to be cut any more but before I could get half of that out she hung up on me. I havent heard a thing back from them. I was so embarrassed to go out in public with this horrible cut I had to go into a different salon (Leau de Vie Salon) today before work to get my bangs straightened out. I had no appointment but a stylist there said he could straighten them out for me real quick and he didnt charge me a thing! Now THATS customer service! The staff at Beauty Parade could really use some lessons from that salon in customer service and cosmetology.
