To start they charged more than quoted. I took off work to meet them they called and had to reschedule. Then they did the work again charged me extra for a plug they must have forgot about. Then we were suppose to have an inspector come out in a couple of days then they would come out and back fill a ditch they had to leave open. That was three months ago i have called a few times and no call backs the ditch is still open and no inspection as of today. Called back again today and yet again i had to leave a message. I highly recommend using someone else.

Ive always found Blossman to have the best prices for a tank refill, especially on a 20 lb tank. Ive always found the staff super nice, along with baseball, a trip to blossman has kind of signaled the unofficial start of spring.

Horrible experience. Was charged $120 for a new customer mandatory safety check but wasnt told about it in advance. She DID say they would perform a safety check, but did NOT tell me it would cost $120. Then she got a snappy attitude with me on the phone. Had I known it would cost $120 plus the $250 in propane, I never would have even used the damn appliance.

I have personally been a customer of Blossman Gas since 1998 when I built my own home in the Asheville area, and have stayed with them for over 20 years because of their dependability and service. When I founded Yonder Luxury Vacation Rentals, Blossman was the first propane provider I started recommending to our property owners. They are an exceptional company with local, quality people working for them who truly care about their customers.

I had a defective tank that had a broken meter for almost two years even though I communicated it needed to replaced. I suppose I should be grateful for finally getting a tank where the gauge actually worked but I am not. I am convinced that I overpaid for fuel because of the faulty gauge. I asked no less than seven times to be removed from auto fill but they still continued to auto fill. I am positive that I overpaid in fuel to the tune of $200.00 to $300.00 due to the faulty tank gauge. Once I was delivered the new tank I was charged $200.00 for a new tank even thought the old tank was defective and they said they would not charge me for the tank(I have the bill to prove it). I have switched to another propane provider for obvious reasons. I understand that my business is small potatoes to Blossman but I am sure their original business was built on service, but as with most companies they miss the personal aspect of customer service and focus on their profit and loss statement.

I wish there were more stars to give them. From day one the people at Blossmans have been exceptional. I cant remember all their names but I do know two of them. One is David Lipe (the first one I had experience with) and the other is TIm. They consider their customers as family and they certainly treat us that way. They are a true blesssing from God and my husband and I greatly appreciate them.

In addition to a tank rental fee, they sneak on a min service usage fee which is as much as a tank rental fee. its hidden in the fine print. $140/yr to rent a tank when you can buy one for the same price. They also dont tell you about the labor charges to pickup your tank if you discontinue service, which are randomly assessed. TOTALLY deceptive practices.I Had MAJOR issues getting set up with them in the first place - weeks of delays. Lost paperwork. A total mess.Later i got a quote from them for $1500 to fix to plumbing fixtures to bring my gas fireplace plumbing up to code and and a short run for a stove. Ended up having a plumber do it for $350. Avoid. there are cheaper options that will appreciate your business and treat you as a valued customer.

Absolutely horrible! I am looking for a new company. I went out to read my propane tank and the meter no longer works. The only way I can find out how much gas is in it is to have a refill. I want to leave them, not buy more.

I live in a new construction home in which Balsam installed the tank and filled it the first time. I called for a refill and gave them the address, the builder and let them know they had installed my tank. I was emailed forms to lease the tank from them. I contacted them and told the I already own all the equipment they had no record of it and asked for declaration of ownership. My serial number was covered in mud and unreadable. They said they had to have it.it was not easy to work with this company. I used Subeurban and they had my tank filled within 24 hours and they filled it before ringing the doorbell. It was a great experience.

HORRIBLE!! The customer service rep Kim is the rudest person I have ever dealt with regarding a company that brings you a monthly service. Without a single phone call they removed my credit card from the system. Didnt contact me, then she lied through her teeth saying she did, through company email (to cover her @ss most likely). Then the following month terminated my account with yet another simple email.I hired this company for all my gas needs over the past 5 years. Installs, fuel lines, etc. Thousands of dollars. What an abhorrent company to pull this stuff on a paying customer with the means to pay. Why my credit card was removed from the system I will never know but I can just imagine what they are doing to less fortunate customers right now during the pandemic. SHAME ON YOU BLOSSMAN!

Been a Blossman customer for a few years and have my fireplace logs serviced each year. I am pleased with the work of the service technician Ronnie since he did an such an excellent job. He was there about an hour and cleaned and checked the logs and the gas line. Really did a thorough and professional job and so courteous.

While everyone has been incredibly kind, I was told in September that a fireplace would take 4 weeks and an estimate was provided. Now, three months later, the cost has risen 25% and the project is far from being completed. In fact, no one has shown up in several days. I’ve been calling for three weeks and while they rerun about 50% of the calls, it’s never possible to talk to anyone or seek any resolution.I’m cold.... and beyond disappointed. Hopefully, I can actually connect with someone live soon.

I had a Service Pack visit from Blossman employee Caleb Middleton. The visit was excellent. Caleb took time to explain every Propane appliance we have; how it worked; what we needed to be careful with; and what we need to watch for for any problems. Caleb gets 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful Customer Service!I have been on the phone all morning with various Gas Companies to see about getting a refillable propane tank for my gas fireplace. Most of the agents I have talked to were rude and uncaring then I talked to Kim at Blossman, what a shining example of listening to and helping a customer she is, she took the time to explain everything in detail, sometimes having to explain it twice to me, and was pleasant, helpful and courteous, I think Blossman, because of Kim, just made a new customer!

I purchased a ventless cast iron heater 3 years ago. It has been serviced by Technician Ronnie Insco for the past two years. This year a different technician serviced the stove and after two trips, the stove was not working correctly. Ronnie Insco arrived and fixed the problem in just a few minutes. Since this stove is serviced only once a year, I am willing to wait for Technician Insco. PLEASE MARK MY RECORDS THAT NO ONE SERVICES THIS STOVE EXCEPT RONNIE INSCO. Do not do business with this company. We were given an estimate and then billed $1,000 over the estimate. Propane was the final requirement for the certificate of occupancy on our new construction home. Blossman single handedly held that up for weeks, I think it was about a month. They acted like installing propane was new to them and that it was a burden every step of the way. Then after tons of calls to get them to get everything installed.... like I said above the bill was $1,000 over the estimate. That then took nearly a month to get fixed while late fees stacked up. They did correct the bill, but it took its own phone calling marathon adventure to get it done including leaving messages, promises of calls back that never came etc. Everything was like pulling teeth. One of the worst companies my family has ever done business with.

We have been getting propane tanks filled here for 3 years. Every Saturday for these 3 years they have filled your tank for $6. Today we went there to get 4 tanks filled. Without any notice what so ever they jacked the price to $12! When we went inside to pay we asked the girl at the counter why they didnt give any notice, she replied we did, theres a sign on the side of the pump. Where the sign is is where the employee stands, the customer is nowhere near where that little, dinky sign is. Sorry but if youre going to screw your customers you might want to not be quite so obvious about it. We have a remodeling business and sometimes have customers who are interested in putting gas fireplaces in their homes. In the past we have recommended they check out Blossmans but NOT ANYMORE.

So, I have been a customer of Blossman for several years. With both of our homes, we contracted with Blossman for gas fireplace logs. Mike came out and took very good care of us with the estimate and organizing the install. Mike is a good one. However, my numerous times in the showroom and calling their office dealing with gas cylinders, etc. have been quite a disappointment. We use them for their Saturday $6 grill tank fills, but the last few times I have been there or tried to interact I have been left with empty cylinders and frustration. Several weeks back, I stopped in on a Saturday at about 8:10am (Their website says they open Saturdays at 8) and parked in front of the tank fill, took out my cylinder and walked in. The front door was unlocked and there were cars in the lot. The showroom lights were off but a man was eating a biscuit behind the counter. I told him I was there for a cylinder fill and he said they werent open yet. I told him his online hours listed an 8am open and I had my tank there to fill. He said they had told Google to change it but they hadnt done it yet and he couldnt help me until 9, when they really opened. I left and let 3 weeks go by. I stopped in today after calling (no holiday message on their phone line) and waiting until after 9am with my two empty tanks and front doors are locked and a small sign with closed Saturday is posted. Several other people were waiting to get their tanks filled too. This will be my last attempt to give them cylinder fill business. Ace Hardware in Arden is a little more expensive but they can fill it any day of the week. I realize they arent losing much if I take away $6 worth of propane business but I wont be back for future gas fireplace needs either. My two attempts of wasted truck gas have more than equaled out what I would have paid at Ace. Blossman - Time to work on your customer service, both online and in person. People do care about the small stuff and people do read reviews before they spend money. I dont leave this review to hurt Blossman, only to make them rethink future interactions, organization and service as a whole.

While I would give a 5 star rating to the service people, I would not give any to accounting. It is true they throw in hidden costs. But my frustration has been around their not crediting my account correctly. Last winter I was told by Blossman I was completely paid up and the account was set up for regular gas delivery. This week I received an email saying I owed $138 plus or minus. When I called to discuss this, they refigured everything to decide that I owed over $600. I would not do business with them again and do not recommend them.

So... we now have an electric stove and not a gas stove! We also have a bunch of bills from Blossman... so you can tell this story doesnt end well.We got a brand new stove and a contractor installed it wrong. We had the blossman guy come out and he supposedly installed the stove. We baked various corn breads to absorb the initial propane fumes, but there was clearly a leak that was spreading all over the house. It was much worse than just normal propane from a gas stove. We contacted Blossman to tell them there was a very strong smell. They said they HAD to come out that very day to fix it. The guy that came did not even turn on the stove and told my dad who was the only one around that it was fine. It was not fine. At this point we needed a stove so badly that we went electric. Of course we get bills for 160 (100 emergency visit + 60 fix).All this was made worse by their archaic system of forms and rude customer services every time you call.

Have to confirm that Blossman accounting is error prone. You will want to have them mail you an invoice (so you pay it on time) as the serviceman otherwise sticks the invoice on the garage door (which then tends to be blown away). I am still getting warning notices about my account, even though my account shows a plus $0.75 balance. They cant even fix that.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Ive been by the store on 3 different occasions now to buy a gas grill and gas logs. Each time, the same old man behind the counter says hes busy. On one occasion he was actually helping someone else (until they left upset over something). He then told me he didnt have time for me as it was lunch and he was there by himself and he was going to go eat. The last 2 times the same man had me wait for over 30 minutes only to ultimately ignore me each time. Upon asking him what it took to get help, he said he had to wait until another employee got back from lunch, a call, or some other excuse. I wont darken their door again.

Incompetent, abusive company. They have violated my contract numerous times. I had a receptionist tell me I dont care what your contract says. I have had a sleezy delivery driver refuse propane on a freezing christmas eve when Blossman was failing to check and refuel per our agreement. The driver implied I should offer him something. Jeff Haynes and David Lipe are unprofessional, rude, and predatory. Blossman has a dysfunctional culture and they do not provide good customer service. They are bullies, and their infrastructure is inadequate. The website is barely functional. They will change your plan without notice. I was placed on a C.O.D. delivery plan. I paid for an order. The driver overdelivered and then when there was a surplus on my account, they cancelled our account even though it was their error.

Horrible device, over priced. I was employed with Blossman and it took them over six months to get me a quote and installation date for propane at my house, frustrated by this, I refused their service. Later I had my family to be set up with propane on a new construction home. They lived in the home for two months before Blossman installed their tank. No stove or heat or hot water for two months!! They are not dependable at all. I wouldnt recommend their overpriced service to ANYONE!
