I purchased an item listed as In Stock from this website on 5/16/2021. One month later it has yet to ship. The item specifically said In Stock items ship within 1-2 weeks. I have followed up 3 times and each time I am told it will be shipped etc. My feeling is that this lamp was obviously not in stock, but why not just say so, so that your customers expectations are inline with your ability to meet them.

Within 10 days it was replaced, and I am happy to say it is perfect. Please do not hesitate to order from this company. I ordered a chandelier from them 5 days ago. The item was listed as in stock. Today, 5 days later I get an email that the item has been discounted from the manufacturer. So how could it have been in stock? With the confirmation of my order I ordered additional complementary lighting that now has to be returned and I have to reschedule my electricians out another week.Thanks for nothing.Well they offered me a discount on future products... Ordered a light listed as in stock online. 8 days later sent email asking when light would be sent. I called several days later as I had not received reply..they said they emailed the day after my inquiry. They went to order the item and it was discontinued. So..why say it is in stock when it is not? And why wait for me to email a week later when they knew they couldnt get it?

I love Lighting Merchants selection. I ordered 2 Uttermost Lamps which are perfect. It took a little bit of time to get them but they shipped right from Uttermost. I appreciated the follow up which kept me informed of the delivery timeline. One of the shades was slightly dented, the minute I contacted Lighting Merchant they let me know a new one would be ordered.

I cant say enough great things about Lighting Merchant. I stumbled across their site one evening and after reading about their company and humble roots, decided to give them a shot. I have since placed three orders with them, one of which they worked diligently to correct when the item came damaged. How they handled the situation was so professional and painless that I committed to continue using them. I placed one order via their site, and two via email as they have access to almost any product, even if its not listed on their site. Great team; couldnt be happier with the quality and their tremendous and personal customer service.

Great store to do business with. Have purchased many times with no issues. Very knowledgeable staff. I needed help with a fan, and didnt know if I needed an extension rod. They were able to recommend the size needed for my ceiling height. Fan arrived quickly. Still waiting on a few lights.. very excited to get this project underway.

Shipping took a few weeks but over all my experience with Lighting Merchant was a good one. I loved most of the lights I received, but there were 3 that did not fit inside the intended area. The return process was easy, they did not charge me a restocking fee but we did have to pay the shipping back. They assured us if we ordered any lights in place of those, they would use the amount we paid to ship back against the new lights. We are still in search for replacements. Very easy to deal with.

In California there is no shortage of purveyors of fine goods no matter your business. Recently, i was on the hunt for a set of a just released wall sconces by Visual Comfort. My search led me to the doorstep of Lighting Merchant. From the first telephonic contact (with David), to the delivery of the wall sconces in just a few weeks (prior to the promised delivery date) - Lighting Merchant’s exceptional professionalism was never ending.I intend to source any and all lighting needs for future projects vis-a-vis the outstanding folks at Light Merchant.

1.)Terrible follow through. They dont call back when they say they will. The second time I called they said they would call me back the following day. They didnt. OR any day after that. I wound up calling them five days later.2.)Ordered a product from them with a 3-5 week turn around because they told me the product was custom made. Turnaround time was not listed on the website anywhere when I placed the order. Called twice for order status updates and was then told it would be 4-6 weeks. Customer service said there was a disconnect with the Wholesaler. Mumbled something about the Wholesaler moving to a new location? Not my problem really.3.)Also the rep I spoke to with Lighting Merchant told me that I couldnt contact the Wholesaler directly because they wouldnt talk to me?? Why not?? So I called the Wholesalers customer service line and the customer service rep had NEVER heard of Lighting Merchant and that Lighting Merchant didnt come up as an authorized merchant in their system. Also they were very helpful and super informative.4.)On top of that, the the Wholesaler had 12 pieces of the item that I needed ALREADY IN STOCK and there was no need for a custom order at all. Contacted an authorized dealer directly through the Wholesaler and am getting my items in two weeks instead of waiting forever.Its sad because Lighting Merchant has really great prices and it looks like a nice company based on their website alone.******* update********5/29******I stand by my review. The lamps I ordered from another retailer that I contacted directly through the Wholesaler Fine Art Lamps after immediately canceling the original order with Lighting Merchant were ordered on 5/23 have arrived SIX days after the order date on 5/29. Pretty great for a two week turn around I was quoted. Glad I cancelled my order with Lighting Merchant and went somewhere else.

My mother told me about Lighting Merchant over a year ago. I finally had a need for a few lights for a new home and decided to use them. Thier prices are truly unbeatable, the order took just about 2 weeks to arrive at my doorstep and I have to say, I couldnt be more thrilled. I followed up a few days after placing my order because all I received was a confirmation email but no tracking yet. My email was answered within a few hours, letting me know I would receive tracking information later that week as soon as the order ships. Tracking # did follow a few days after, and the lights are absolutely amazing. The quality is stunning! I have had many compliments from my friends and my mother, who told me about this store is about to buy a few more lights for her home and is looking to purchase more from Lighting Merchant. This shop is great, I would recommend them to anyone.

I was informed that they were made to order items so I understand its not the stores fault but these days you expect shipping in a day or 2. As others here explained, we had a glass broken in our light, they asked for photos and sent out a new glass very quickly. Customer service here is excellent. I ordered a few lights that were on back order, Lighting Merchant ordered the fixtures for me as I was willing to wait for them to come back into stock. They called the vendor for updates each time I inquired about the status. They finally arrived and I absolutely love them! I will be back to purchase more fixtures for my kitchen.

We use Lighting merchant for all of our lighting and design needs. As a design firm, we have worked with many online stores and showrooms and we can honestly say, there is no store that even comes close to the pricing and service we receive from Lighting Merchant.1. The prices on Lighting Merchant are unbeatable. As a designer we have direct accounts with some of these manufacturers and the pricing we receive from Lighting Merchant even beats out the pricing I am given directly from the manufacturers. They have helped me and my clients save thousands of dollars so far.2. The service we receive is remarkable. They allow returns with no restocking fees. Many online and in store dealers try to charge up to 35 percent to send items back. Not Lighting Merchant. They also allow returns on items that are not returnable at all. This is also extremely helpful. You really dont know if you like something until you see it, so paying 30 percent to send something back with some of these other retailers is just ridiculous. I really appreciate lighting merchant for standing out above their competitors and standing fully behind their products.3. The items are packaged extremely well. Many items get double boxed by the company them selves to ensure there is no damage. Instead of sending 10 different items, they packaged 5 items in 1 secured box and 5 in another. Never had Other retailers do this, so this is also very much appreciated.4. Communication is great, I am notified of back orders and they put items on order with out charging us. We would only see a charge once the order ships. A++++Thanks for your amazing service and prices.****UPDATE****You are very welcome! We will call you next week for our next project.

I had an exceptional shopping experience. I placed my order because they had the best price on a cocktail table I was looking for. This table by Arteriors is truly a work of art, it is a eye stopper. I have been complimented on it time after time. I was extremely pleased with the quality of this beauty. The packaging was excellent and the delivery took approximately 2 weeks from the date of my purchase. I could not believe the amount of money I saved shopping on the Lighting Merchant website. I see they have so many other items, so I will be browsing around for some lights in the near future. I wanted to give this store a 5 star review because when I called to check status, the representative who answered was a delight to speak with. He assured me I would receive tracking information once shipment occured and I most certainly did. Lighting Merchant provides excellent customer service. I had a problem with glass on 2 out of 4 vanity lights I received. 2 out of the 4 had slightly different color glass. I tried calling the manufacturer but they werent any help at all. I called Lighting Merchant and they quickly replied to my email, asked for photos of the glass and ordered new glass shades. I received them within 2 weeks. Couldnt be more satisfied with my purchase now.

I ordered my fixture two months ago and every time I call for an update, I get a different excuse as to why it hasn’t shipped yet. Like another consumer said, they have terrible follow through. I’ve called and emailed on different occasions with no response. I basically have to harass them to get status updates. Ridiculous! Save yourself the trouble and purchase from another lighting company.***UPDATE- Now the owner has unilaterally cancelled my order after I have been waiting 2 MONTHS for my fixture. I took the advise of another reviewer and called Visual Comfort myself to find out what the issue was, and the Visual Comfort rep told me this light was never back ordered and they couldn’t understand why Lighting Merchant wasn’t shipping it.If the owner wants to “rewrite” what transpired on here, I’d be happy to upload screenshots of the varying stories I’ve been told over the course of 7 weeks to show that what he/she claims occurred did not actually occur as stated. First, I was told in late May it didn’t ship on time, then I was told it was put on the wrong pallet. After about a month, I touched base again and was told it was on a split order and mine must have been part of a second shipment from the manufacturer. All the while I was guaranteed it was going to get to me “within the next week.” I have called and/or emailed almost weekly. Then, July 1 rolls around and still no light. I had to threaten to call the Better Business Bureau because my emails were going unanswered. That finally got someone’s attention, and I was eventually told it was on back order. That was not until July though and the manufacturer is denying that is even the case.As for my other orders the owner has referenced- check the records. I cancelled my first order because after a month, the lamp still had not shipped and so I requested a refund and then turned around and got it within a WEEK from another company. The second order (which was a set of two fixtures) came damaged. Customer service did address that issue. Then I ordered this latest fixture and have been waiting for 2 months for it. But now, because I wrote a negative review, the owner has cancelled my order as punishment, I suppose? Thus, I’ve only placed 1 order that has actually been successful.I will say, the gentleman I spoke to most recently on the phone was very kind to me each time I have called in. I cannot deny that. But that has been the only positive part of this experience.

I dont write many reviews unless the product service is terrible, or fantastic, and Lighting Merchant was the latter. In looking for a fairly expensive fan online, they came up 20% lower than the next lowest online retailer. I assumed they were a scam of some sort. I called the customer service number and they were very helpful and domestically based. But I still thought it was a scam.Then they said the item was backordered which all the other online retailers did, and it would be 3-4 weeks delivery. Then a couple of days later I received a FEDEX notice that it was on its way. I still thought it was a scam.The package arrived undamaged. And then I thought it was a Chinese knock-off. Until I opened it. The real deal!Another item was missing from the order. I emailed and within minutes, no joke, minutes, I had a response that it was shipped direct from factory with an included tracking number.How can you go wrong with the lowest priced lighting/fan retailer online who also has incredible customer service? It will seem like a scam. Until you realize its not! Keep these folks in business!!!

I received a call from UPS freight within minutes. They scheduled an appointment for delivery that same day. I will look to this store for my future orders.

I purchased 4 ceiling fans and 2 outdoor lights from Lighting Merchant. This is a new renovation I am doing so I plan to order much more. The order took about 2 weeks to ship but when they finally came in, one of the 4 ceiling fans had a motor issue. Lighting Merchant asked me what the issue was, forwarded it to the manufacturer and got a replacement fan out to me within a few days! This store really cares about customer service, I have dealt with many online retailers who take weeks or sometimes even completely ignore replacement issues so I am extremely satisfied with their service. I ordered a table lamp from Lighting Merchant which was shown as being in stock. It took over 2 weeks and a few emails to finally get follow-up on the shipping status of the lamp. I was told that the lamp would ship on Monday then they called today to verify the address. Even though I told this company that shipping it to arrive a week later on Tuesday would not work for me because I would be on business travel and to please send it for Monday delivery. They refused, so ultimately I cancelled the order. Terrible customer service and their website needs to accruately reflect the status of items.
