HI never ever faced worst customer experience.I scheduled appointment based on availability ie 7/25 today at 3 pm at Niles IL and when I reached store, its closed.Other day, 7/23, I went to store in palentine IL.to pic up my simcards and waited 80mins in store to get simcards. First thing, it verizon mistake to moved lines without delivering simcards. . Finally I got simcards over mail today 7/25 and simards are not activated. You guys are kidding me? I never ever recommend Verizon service.

Worst Verizon store. Two weeks ago I was in the store and it was very busy so the woman said if I make an appointment online I dont need to wait in line. I made an appointment for today. When I came to the store the same woman said that they cant help me during the time of my appointment so I have to wait and she doesnt know how long. I told her what she told me two weeks ago but she just shrugged so I said THANK YOU and I left the store.

Worst Verizon store in area. I dont recommend this location. Super slow customer service. I was waiting 20 min in line just to be told that I can order a new phone through the app. Why do they even have open locations if they cant help you with any problem and tell you to do it yourself online. I needed a new phone today, I thought thats what a phone store is for. Also they didnt let my girlfriend in, she had to wait in the car. I understand that they have restrictions due to Covid, but there were only 4 customers inside. The greeting woman was super rude and you felt like youre not welcome there.

I brought my mom to this Verizon store for her transition to a smartphone, and was a little nervous when we learned I could not come in the store with her for her appointment. The fellow who met us at the door was understanding and upbeat, and said they would take good care of her. As it turned out, Tony went above and beyond the call of duty and regular customer service. He was attentive and kind. He spent an hour and a half making sure she was comfortable, helping her through the setup and first steps, and making sure she had his number in case of later questions. Thanks for a great overall experience!

Sunday, February 21st.Worst customer service ever! I was checked in by a woman and told there were a couple people ahead of me. Ok no problem and waited roughly 35 minutes to see a person. The woman who checked me I had to acknowledge her and there was no warm greeting when I walked in. It seemed like I was bothering them by stopping in the store. It is worth mentioning that the person checking in was the manager supposedly, but all she does is walk around and hover over the employees/customer. She could have helped the line of people waiting.I was then working with a sales associate and told him exactly what I was looking for. I was quoted via a chat service and also the corporate 1800 number a price for all this. The employee also said that the 1800 number is a joke and that is why you come in store. Wait a minute! Arent you all on the same team and work for the same company? The bill I was provided was $51 dollars per month more expensive. I said no way and asked him to review my file and see the chat notes and then also asked him to call customer service, which he replied NO! I was told a number of times how they are corporate employees and this is a corporate store. The employee had no interest in investigating this. Guess what the 1800 number did confirm what I was told and this store tried to rip me off $51 per month. Good thing he knew what he was doing!I asked to see a manager and upon coming over they both were talking about me right in front of me. Completely rude and the manager nor the employee cared to assist. The manager barely even acknowledged me during the interaction. I was even told by this employer in so many words I was a liar and I would have never been told that. I have been a loyal customer for 14 years. It is amazing there are better deals for new customers, but old ones they pay full price.I later called the 1800 number to figure out what is the disconnect and I was told that the stores dont know what they are doing and better offers exist over the phone. Wait how can this be?They are a joke at this location! I told them I would be seeking a new carrier, which they said that is your choice and best of luck to you! Again, 14 years of loyalty and that is how we value the customer.Run away from this store!

Tried calling to cancel an appointment for 6. Called 15 times and tried every option they gave and could not reach anyone to cancel including giving them the account number which still did not work. Now they are assuming i am coming and will not have the availability for another costumer who actually needs it. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

The staff was extremely friendly and worked to find me the best deal. I didnt feel like I was dealing with tricky sales people when I upgraded my phone. It was a very good experience. Also, they have a very clean facility with good social distancing measures in place.

It is insane how bad this place is. My wife and I bought phones here and were lied to about EVERYTHING: Theyre buy one, get one free! (They werent) Your account will be credited $400 as part of a Black Friday Deal! (It wasnt) Oh, well actually, the $400 was a rebate! (Our purchase wasnt eligible for it.) Etc.Avoid salesperson Tony at all costs, Ive literally never been lied to more when making a purchase.EDIT (for anyone who reads Verizons response to me): There was no miscommunication here, these guys are flat-out liars--I didnt even mention in my initial review that Tony under-quoted my monthly bill by 30%. Call me salty if you want, but Im telling you for your benefit, avoid avoid avoid this place!

The greeter at the door was very rude ! She said when I walked in What do you want huh ? Not hi welcome to Verizon how can I help you !! Unbelievable !! Then there was a family in the store husband and wife plus 2 kids .the a couple walked in , and again Aleksi said what do you want ! And then she said to the couple that only one could come in and said one of you has to wait in the car !! The place was not at its capacity it was me and that family , plus I never say down she took care of me at the door !! Plus she didnt fix the problem Im having with my new android plus ! Placed an order online for in store pick up. Ordered a speaker for my dad for fathers day. I asked my mom to stop into the store to pick it up. The rep told my mom that she could not give her the item because she did not have the Verizon app...Ive placed many orders at Verizon for in store pick up. Ive never once been asked to use the app. They gave her a really hard time about the pick up, and eventually told her she could not pick up the item. Super disappointing. My mom doesnt have Verizon or the app. This store is a joke.

My husband and I went here because my husband needed to upgrade his cell phone. The person we worked with was very nice and helpful. Although Verizon told my husband over the phone that everything could be charged on bill. And when my husband went to the store they told us that the upgrade fee couldn’t be put on the bill. Even though when my husband purchased his old phone they put the upgrade fee on the bill.

Kinda felt like I was bothering the people just by waking into the store. I understand that a customer service rep over the phone may have provided wrong information but it doesn’t mean you can be rude or give the impression that I’m wasting your time. I came from the cellular industry, I managed a couple stores and I made everyone feel welcomed. The manger on duty who’s name is Alex, I believe didn’t seem to care that I was a customer and didn’t seem welcoming. Sam the rep was descent, seemed bothered that I didn’t want to buy more than a case and that I was passing on the phone insurance. Maybe I wasn’t meeting their sales metrics and that’s why they decided to really walk my sale. As a Verizon customer I’ll avoid this store. (Been a customer for 4 days now, not sure if this was a good move)

Sam C was awesome. I had spent 45 minutes on the phone with Verizon customer service, who couldnt resolve an issue I had with a tablet upgrade. Sam got it resolved in 10 minutes. And I ended up buying some accessories for my tablet and phone. He exceeded my expectations to be sure.

If AT&T was any better than them, I would switch... but, they arent, so Im staying. ::Edited after the response to my review:: 2 visits ago, I needed help on my phone and the salesperson refused to touch my phone. He walked around with headphones on top of his head and looked incredibly unprofessional. Last visit, I came in to upgrade my phone, same person helped me... but, was nice enough. He got me all set up with my phone, but, didnt include some accessory boxes and when the Zagg glass protector cracked within a week, the lifetime warranty REQUIRES the box to return! I wasnt given the box! Plus Zagg charged $9.99 for shipping on their free replacement. Worst $40 Ive spent. Basically... the salespeople need better training to do their job effectively.

This place sucks, if I could give 0 starts, I would. I just signed up with Verizon 2 days ago. Online and phone customer service in addition to the Palatine store (Liz is awesome) however are great! This location is useless. I made an exchange of a screen cover 1 hour after I bought it and Sam the manager pretty much told me I should just be honest and admit I dropped it, I didnt even take it out of the box yet. Then upon an exchange I was not given a receipt. The next day I wanted to get a better case (Otterbox), which they did not carry and came into the store to return the case I had purchased the night prior. I was told I could not return it because an item on my receipt had already been exchanged. Ha...what a joke. I felt like I was living in a communist country. I later called customer service and asked if they could contact the store so I could speak to the manager as I could not directly get through to the store, he called, and assured me the manager on duty would call me after he got out of a meeting (about an hr or so), 6 hours later...here I am still waiting. Do not waste your time with this place, they are rude. Also, side note, the 3 times I was there in the past day the employees have their friends hanging out in the store with them, very unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional, when I was there yesterday one of the female employees was helping a customer and was on the phone with someone from Verizon and said something along the lines of, Im going to need a sip of whatever you are drinking to get into a good mood. Also, quite unprofessional. Long story short, choose a different location or call customer care.

The only thing I didnt like is when i stated Im not looking for any additional fees or lines yet was still asked several times and took longer if my time being there because they have to act like car salesmen. If a customer says no then drop it. Already pay a lot for service and dont need to add on.

I am completely thrilled to say that I have had nothing but great service from everyone at this location! Ive been going to this specific location for years and I wouldnt change it for the world. The last couple times Ive been there there was one salesman in particular who I was just lucky to have, his name is Mike Ellingsen. Although I have dealt with a few others Mike has by far been one of my favorites. You can tell that he truly cares about the customer (which is hard to find) and it never wavers. Hes answered all of my questions and made my time there enjoyable and surprisingly quick. I am definitely going to continue going to this location and I will continue to recommend not just Verizon, but this location.

Walked in to buy two phones and probably some accessories. Checked in and waited for 20 minutes without getting helped. There were maybe 5-6 customers in the store. Ended up leaving frustrated as nobody seemed to be concerned. There shouldnt be that long of a wait at 10:30 in the morning on a weekday. Wont shop there again.

I handle the technology/cell phones/tablets for the company I work for, a business account with 150+ active lines. Ive been going to this store for all of our needs lately and the experience has been exemplary. Each of the employees greets me (and everyone that walks in) warmly, typically starting with opening the door for everyone that walks in. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable with just the right mix of suggestive salesmanship - meaning they offer services and accessories that they know I could actually use without just trying to push blindly for more sales. They keep me posted with updates on my account and always check for new deals or options that could benefit us. Each of the employees I have worked with have been great, but to name a few: Dave (general manager), Dan (who recently transferred to another store, I believe Lake Zurich), Chris J., and a young lady whos name I cant remember at the moment (sorry!). Occasionally there is a wait due to the amount of customers at the store, but everyone there is working diligently to make it as quick as possible.In addition to the service and device sales, I overhear a TON of customers asking basic questions and how tos on their phones, which they are happy to help with. I will say that most of those questions could probably be resolved with a quick Google search, but the employees dont bat an eye and walk customers through the process so they understand what theyre doing.Great job VZW, keep it up.

Eric Perez signed our business for Verizon services. He promised (and we have email confirmation from his email) we will pay $35/line for first 3 month and $40/line after 3 months. He fooled us and we are paying $45/month per each of 8 lines. We tried to call to customer service and they said they never had the price he promised. Stay away!!!

I have been a Verizon customer for many years and though the phone service is good the store serviceat the Palatine street in Arlington Heights is not. They try to confuse you and sell you more than you need. The salesman seemed good and friendly, but we had unlimited data so I know they wanted to get us off of being grandfathered into that program. So realizing we only used 7 GB when we were allowed unlimited access to data, they sold us 20 GB. Now that should be plenty, however by the end of the month they are saying we are going over. My son has been in twice and they said they did not know we were using 7, like we were lying about that. They could look that up. Their emplyees on the phone looked up our bill and found that out. We were not making it up. Also I have called and spoken to two managers. One said to come in, but when I called after the holidays he was no longer at that location. I have called the current female manager and she said she would check into it, but never called me back, 3 weeks ago. And this makes no sense that you use the phone the same amount and it racks up more gigabites. We went to Costco and they were much nicer, very knowledgeable and saved us money. Explain that one. One time we went in the store and one of the women told us there was no package that we were talking about. When we showed her it in the Verizon book, then she said we could get it. Please train your employees to give the client what they can afford and want. Your sales may go up, but your satisfaction on getting people what they need and can afford is low.
