I have seen Dr. Patel for a couple of years now. I can easily schedule my appointments online. When I show up to the office I have never had to wait. My yearly exams are done quickly and if I have any questions or concerns they are always addressed by Dr. Patel. I mostly wear contacts but decided to update my 10+ year old glasses on my visit in 2021. Staff listened to what I wanted in frames and found a great pair for me. They even looked at how to get the best price with my insurance and didn’t try to upsale me at all.

Didnt get a chance to see Dr Patel as i was 8 mins late due to being stuck in traffic (train tracks were blocked for 10 mins) They called and said I needed to be there within 8-10 mins otherwise I would have to reschedule. I came within 8 mins and the receptionist said it was too late and I had to be there within 8-10 mins from the phone call which I was. No bother to reschedule as I will not go back.

To echo other reviews - Dr. Patel is great, reception not so much. Ive been going here for years, and Dr. Patel is always very kind and quick yet thorough with his examination. I remember reception staff being friendly a few years back, but now theyve hired new staff who have been very short and rude both over the phone and in person. Im also a receptionist so I know how tiring it can be at times interacting with the public, but you should make more of an effort to be welcoming to guests as their first and last point of contact.

I don’t recommend this place at all. The doctor just took two minutes to check up my eyes. I received a wrong glass and suffered about two months. I reported but they did not even say sorry. Still my power is not appropriate as I don’t feel comfortable with my glasses but I’m not going there any more.

I love going here. Doctor is great and provides extensive information regarding you exam. The representatives on the floor are great. Fun personalities and help you find exactly what youre looking for.Ive read a comment about a rude receptionist and I want to let folks know, she isnt rude at all. She is very quiet and also has a dry sense of humor.

My family and I have been going here for over 10 years and have really enjoyed Dr. Patel. Ive always noticed that their front desk staff can be a bit rude but overlooked it because we like Dr. Patel. Today I called to get my daughter in asap for an eye exam which was past due and she was out of contacts. Yes I know that it is our fault for waiting until the last minute. I asked if we could get a spare set of contacts to get us by until they can see her a week from today. They put me on hold and connected me to a guy that said they could not. I said please she is out and is a student and needs to see. He said no again. I said if you cant fit me in within 24 hours I will need to go elsewhere. He said ok and that was it. He did not even try to squeeze us in. They just lost the business of my family. Horrible customer service!

I love Dr. Patel and this office. They have always been on time. Ive never waited at an appointment. Right in and right out, which I appreciate. At the same time, Ive never felt rushed. If I have concerns, Dr. Patel takes the time to address them. Thorough, kind and attentive! I highly recommend them .

I love Dr. Patel. He is a wonderful Dr. and I have been seeing him for years now. But now the front desk is telling me that they will not schedule family members on the same day?!?!? And that I have to come back on a separate day for my eye exam and my daughters eye exam! When I asked for an explanation the front desk said it was in case I cancel.-Update. After contacting me the home office made this right. It is disappointing though that it had to come to this.

I have been coming here for over 12 years. I moved away from Apex around 10 years ago and even though they have other offices closer to me, I drive 30 miles to the office.DR PATEL is great!!! Even if he is a Baltimore Ravens fan. The staff is fantastic. Want to give credit where it is due. Thanks guys for all you do!!

Receptionist was rude when trying to schedule follow up appointment. Also, availability is always very limited and 3-4 weeks out. Times for contact lens education doesn’t go past 3:30 which is very inconvenient since most school aged children are not available earlier than this also doesn’t have availability on Saturday’s. Takes a long time to get glasses and contacts in with no updates on delays.

Changed my appointment from the previous week to this week over the phone and I was told that I didn’t have an appointment at all when I got there. I asked if I could still get the appointment and I was told no as they are double booked. Which I am willing to understand if it wasn’t for the fact that I had called 30 minutes prior to coming in to ask a question where I mentioned my appointment and they said I could come in a bit late if I needed to. The receptionist basically made me feel like I was lying about getting my appointment rescheduled although I showed phone records of calling in the week before to do so. I will not be coming back here

Dr. Patel was great, eye exam was comprehensive. However, the person who was adjusting my new glasses had no idea what she was doing. She just kept tightening them and never once checked to see how or where they were not fitting correctly. I will not purchase glasses here again

I find the office staff pleasant enough. However, I view Dr. Patel to be a very realistic and reasonable doctor, which can be uncommon in these days. It has been my experience he listens to me and suggest eye wear/care to meet my needs, lifestyle and financial situation.

The eye physician is very good. He has helped me a number of times. But one of the staff there has no idea how to adjust peoples glasses and seems to think you did not buy the glasses there, even when they were and she never checks. Will have to find somewhere else.

I went in for an eye exam on March 13th. During the visit the staff and eye doctor was friendly and helpful. Turned out my eyeglass Rx didnt change. The doctor prescribed some eye drops for my allergies and I ordered a new set of Rx sunglasses.My insurance (a week later) refuse to pay for the eye drops sent to a pharmacy near my house. I called to have the Rx transferred to the pharmacy at my work and was told that the doctor would be out of the office for a couple of weeks. I asked if the doctor that was covering for him could send the eye drops for him (allergy Seasons right around the corner) and was told that he couldnt do it because he hadnt seen me. Now I work in the medical field and know that these eye drops are not a controlled substance I was seen at this office less than 2 weeks. So one of two things is going on, either the doctor covering doesnt trust the doctor who saw me, or he doesnt understand the difference between an allergy eye drop and a controlled substance.If youre looking to get a new pair of sunglasses or eyeglasses Id recommend this place. If you need competent provider stay away.

I had Very bad experience. Doctor said I have chalazion due to that my eyelid got swollen. But Dr said we have to apply ointment for chalazion and if it not goes away in 2 weeks then we have to remove it by doing Surgery. After 2 weeks it was not going away. Also they didnt think about treating root cause for this and I got one more Chalazion on my another eye after few weeks.Then I have visited other clinic and they said just we need to apply heat compress for a week. My Chalazions went away in a week after applying the Heat Compress and they found the root cause for why it is coming, they treated too.

The ladies at the front desk nice and welcoming. They dont wipe down their equipment prior to client use. Happened in prescreen process and before Doctors exam. Lady in the frame side has a matter of fact attitude and did not provide a receipt for charges paid for until asked. I believe it was nonsense to be charged a contact fitting fee when prescription did not change, no new lenses tried on, and exam no different than usual. Will not be returning to this office. First impressions are important.

Dr Patel was fast but I was comfortable with him. My wife warned me not to go to this location but it was so close by I went anyway. I was told I would be called when my glasses were ready but was never contacted. I had to put off a very critical business trip and visiting a sick relative and had a very hard time driving with my old glasses yet they sat at the store for three days and no one ever contacted me. Funny thing is they had no problem getting ahold of me to make sure I was going to show up for my eye exam. I complained and was told I could complain to cooperate. I thanked them and assure them I would not be coming back to that location. Should have listed to my wife.

My daughter went in for an appointment and the receptionist was rude saying that After talking to you about 14 million times about the insurance we are good she is a paying customer and they are VERY rude. They better be glad I wasnt there.

My husband and I both went for exams and to pick out glasses. My experience was okay. I received different frames than what I originally ordered (I was later told they were mislabeled), but I ended up liking them...so fine, although they did offer to switch them to the ones I ordered. My husbands experience, however, has been awful. He was unable to adjust to the bifocals that were recommended so he went back to request the single vision lenses he had originally been assured would not be a problem at all to do. The person he spoke to was very resistant to have the lenses changed, but he insisted and they finally agreed. A week later he received a call stating there was a defect in one of the lenses so they had to be sent back. Ok, mistakes happen. I get that.Today I called the office since it is four days after he was told his glasses would be done (again). First I was told they are still in processesing, then I was told there is a chance they could be in today. The person on the phone asked if I wanted her to send the text to say they are ready, after she pointed out that he was signed up for the text messages and there was no reason for me to call their office (rude, much?). She did offer to have someone look into the issue for me, which I insisted on. Within minutes my husband received a voice mail stating they just heard from the lab and his glasses didnt pass final inspection so they are being remade AGAIN. He should have them in a week. Seriously? I am appalled and ready to ask for a refund. If he ever gets his glasses, we will not be returning.Edit: We already filed a complaint with your Corporate Office. Funny how things started to get resolved once that happened. IF his glasses are satisfactory, that will be our last visit to your establishment. No, there is no way to turn the experience around at this point.

Dr. Sanjay Patel and his team were awesome! He was very efficient compared to other Optometrists in the area. In the past, Ive spent over an hour for a routine eye exam. The MyEyeDr. team had me out the door in less than 30 minutes and I felt like the exam was more than complete. The team just didnt waste time with me sitting and waiting for long periods. Also, they gave me free sunglasses with my contact purchase. Ill definitely continue to be a customer of MyEyeDr and Dr. Patel at the Apex Location.

Do not recommend! The people works there too pushy! When this was Triangle Eye Care, it was the bestUnfriendly unprofessional! Dr. Ok. But the person who was adjusting our glasses had no idea what he was doing. The glasses is worse than before. Ended up I need to re order another one, it is over 3 weeks and I am still waiting for them to call. It is very inconvenient..... Seriously taking that long? I am ready to ask a refund.Wish I could put NO Star

I had recently got a metal splinter in my eye and had tried to fight through it (not knowing what it exactly was...) for several days. When finally I couldnt bear it any longer I went in to see MyEyeDr in Apex and was immediately greeted and treated with the utmost urgency and care. Ive been going to MyEyedr in Apex for close to 3 yrs now for my eye exams and glasses. In the last year I developed a corneal condition that can be extremely painful and cause erosion and dryness, leading to tearing of the cornea. Talk about being disoriented! When this occurs, Dr. Patel has basically taken me right in with no appointment and treated me. By the time I leave his office, Im basically pain free and on the road to healing. He also had his staff set me up with a corneal specialist to address this issue. Dr. Patel and his team have ALWAYS been courteous, friendly and professional and present themselves as such. It is reassuring to know when I have an painful emergency such as this, Dr. Patel and his team are there when I need them most. Based on our previous experiences we contacted MyEyeDr Apex and this time we had a horrible experience right from the beginning. I called reception for a clarity about the prescription I had and she was so rude and unfriendly. I thought may be because it was over phone. When I went to reception desk I think I got the same person. She was totally unfriendly, not paying any attention or interest and felt she wants to avoid us!! Wondering how they are doing business! I just collected my papers back and walked away, thought I don’t want to loose my patience because of some crazy people. Went to High House road location and all process went so smooth when worked with right people. Apex location seriously lacking something...basics of customer service!!!
