Purchased a vehicle from an Apex Motor customer, when he bought the car he showed me part receipts for an engine rebuild, when he asked for a full receipt from the shop that did the rebuild he was told it was built in house, and that they have been building engines for 20+ years. They told me this same thing when I went and looked at some of their cars. 12 days after purchase the engine started knocking and was diagnosed as bearing failure caused by the main throw out bearing.I spent a few days trying to track down who did the rebuild prior to reaching out to the person I bought the car from, and Patrick told me they do not have an in house mechanic and they use Ralph from Underground Performance for all of their Subaru engine work, and have for a long time. Ralph confirmed he did NOT do my engine so I was back to square one.I decided to reach out to my vehicles previous owner to see if he was told who did it, and he provided me with some texts between him and former employee Bill King, in which Bill states they did the rebuild in house. So I called Patrick back to discuss this newly found information, and he immediately went on the offensive side and threw a fit before telling me to “stop calling” and hanging up on me.Now that my motor is torn apart, I was shown the crankshaft which has “Apex” written on it in multiple places. I don’t care to further confront the issue as multiple reviews state they have no interest in taking accountability for situations like this.This dealership is dishonest and doesn’t care about you or the cars they sell, only the money they make. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

I feel swindled. My wife bought a 2009 civic coup here last year for 5k that was just appraised for 1.5k. I know we’re the fools here for being young and naive but it’s just a shame it ended up this way.Edit: I know this is Apex motors and I know we got the civic here, your sticker is on the back of the civicl lol.

We visited this dealership recently while shopping for a car. Although we purchased our vehicle elsewhere, we spent a fair amount of time here. Here is what I think you should know:• I would not recommend talking with Bill about cars. Hes a decently nice guy, but spends most of his time watching baseball while you try to visit with him and he doesnt know hardly anything about the cars hes selling (even though they only have a handful on the lot).• Talk to Bills mechanic. I forgot his name, but his Latino mechanic is very friendly and knowledgeable.• They were willing to allow us to take the vehicle to be inspected with no pressure. We found that the vehicle needed a new transmission, transfer case, front left CV axle, and some minor things like a headlamp and sensor and were pressured by the dealership to purchase the vehicle and that these were not a big deal... (A new transmission is a big deal...)Summary:This is a pretty average third-party dealership. We had a decently good experience, but I would recommend a vehicle inspection before purchase.

Great experience. Didnt feel any pressure to buy. Patrick is clearly a car enthusiast, which is rare in dealerships. Was able to test drive the car we wanted for quite a while. We ended up buying it, but never once felt like we couldnt have walked away. Nice guy, fun to talk to, great cars on his lot. This is definitely not Apex Auto Sales its a lot better!Patricio has a really cool accent so everything sounded much cooler. They really know what they are doing and what they are selling. We asked Jesse a bunch of questions on the test drive about the vehicle and he knew his stuff, real cool dude. Honestly we went to a lot of dealerships and I didnt like how uncomfortable I felt but here was a lot different because I felt comfortable and not pressured at all. We got it in one day to our home and had no problems. There was a nightmare with the title but I know Patrick was doing all he could to get it to us.

I only owned the car for six months and 2k miles. Patrick didn’t care or accept any responsibility.I will never recommend this dealership and will actively keep others from purchasing their cars. They are the type of dealership that gives a bad name for other used car dealers. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership at all costs. Otherwise it will cost you more then you can imagine.

Love my Mitsubishi Lancer I bought from them almost a month ago. Runs great! However, when I got home right after buying it I noticed that the front fender was hanging down. I went back in and the salesmen fixed it for me. His way of fixing it was taping it on the inside. After a few weeks later it started to hang down again and took it somewhere else where they actually fixed it. Today I went in to get my license plates and registration. After the salesmen put it on for me and handed me my registration I left. Later I notice that they gave me the wrong registration and license plates! I had to return to the dealership and have them switch it out for mine. Overall, my experience was okay but doesnt seem like they are very experienced.

Im telling anyone and everyone if you visit the Pleasant Grove location or the Orem location and want to buy a car, look away look far far away. This place buys vehicles from the auction broken down so they can get the best deal possible. They than have their own mechanics fix the problems and they have no clue what they are doing. If they do have a clue they fix it as cheep as possible. I know the owner will come on here and make every excuse and say how their cars are the best, well you all have been warned. Just remember you are buying performance vehicles and there can be a lot wrong with them since they are driven hard, I would never buy from Apex Moters.With that said I have seen and heard of multiple people drive vehicles away from Apex Motors with their vehicles to find their vehicle in the shop 2-3 days later with costly repairs. The owners will never help and will blame it on the buyer.So everyone YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! It will be your fault from here. Dont be blinded by the salesman and owner because they are crooks and they will sweet talk you from the start. Happy car shopping everyone.

Firstly, I would like to mention that I have never felt the need to leave a review in my life in regards to bad business. However, I strongly feel that my experience with Apex Motors needs to be put out to the public. For the sake of the readers time I will make this as short and full of info that I can.As I was car shopping I had found just the car I was looking for, located at this business. I scheduled a time to check the car out and take it out for a drive. The car seemed to be in good condition, on the drive I was told to not push the car to the limits or drive to far. Out of respect and understanding I acknowledged the Instructions given. Car seemed to drive fine and had no issues that I knew of. The seller had assured me nothing was wrong with it and claimed that no work was done to the car as it had no problems. Of course, people will say anything as I happened to find out.I signed the paperwork and was pleased to take the car home. The drive home was nothing short of a disaster. On my way home the car stuttered to a stall and I was left stranded on the freeway. Very disappointing to say the least. After getting it trailered home I was able to get the car to start and to no surprise, a check engine light. After getting the codes checked and contacting the seller I was left with no conclusions. The seller stayed tight-lipped about any info he knew on the vehicle. After many times of trying to get in contact with the seller I was told that nothing was wrong with the car and im out of luck.The car was trailered to a dealership to get checked out. The dealership notified me that the engine assembly had been missing essential bolts and a number of other things. After bringing proof to the seller he then finally decides to tell me the car had an engine machining and rebuild on top of other things before the sell was made. Car needed a new engine, timing components and sensors. Wouldve been great information to know before buying in the first place.Long story short, I needed to drop almost 4k into the car that I paid full KBB value for in the first place. To simply be avoided by all means possible from the seller taking absolutely no responsibility. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review (in fact, my first review I have ever done) But I was scammed and Apex did nothing to help with fixing the issue while dodging my concerns and taking no responsibility. I would leave less than one star if possible.

I fell in love with a 2010 Mazda 3 I saw on KSL that was at Apex. Patrick is the owner and operator of the business and I dealt with him directly from A to Z. He is very low pressure and has alot of knowledge about his inventory. He was able to answer my questions about the car and spent the time I needed for me to make a decision. I rarely, if ever, post reviews about my experiences with businesses but my experience with Apex Motors warrants taking time out of my day to help others avoid going here.I stopped in here while looking at cars and saw one that I like and was told that they had just gotten it in and wasnt quite ready to be sold, which I understood. So I checked back in when he said it would be finished and it still wasnt done (even though they had posted it for sale on their website and elsewhere already). I was able to take a short test drive and decided I wanted to purchase but needed the work to be fully completed and my mechanic to take a look. But day after day the car still wasnt finished until over a week had passed when he promised it would be done. However when I asked if it was done he said that someone had taken the car for a full day and still hadnt finished the work! I tried one last time to see if it was finished however he had already essentially sold the car to someone else! I couldnt believe it! I had shown sincere interest and had finances ready to go for nearly two weeks before the car was even posted and he still sold it out from under me! I made my own mistakes in the process amittedly, but what he did is nothing short of skeevy and underhanded. If you want a good buying experience and customer service avoid Apex Motors at all costs.

Patrick was awesome to work with. He sold me a Subaru Impreza WRX. The second day I had it the check engine lights came on. I was nervous and a little mad so I texted Patrick and told him and he told me to bring it in the next day. He took care of it and took care of me. The car has been perfect ever since. He wants to make sure that everybody who buys a car from it is happy even though with selling used cars sometimes things are out of his control. He will still do what he can to help make the purchase right. I will definitely in checking back at Apex Motors when Im looking for another vehicle purchase thank you Patrick.

I just bought a car here and the two days after I bought it the car broke down on the freeway. We take it to the dealership to get multiple things fixed and just a week later im driving and my transmission goes out again. (we just got the leak fixed) and multiple other leaks and sensors fixed. My car is stuck in the middle of the street. Wont even move to the side of the road. Now were getting it towed AGAIN to the dealership. Patrick knew there was things wrong with the car and still sold it to me, didnt ever mention ANY PROBLEMS!! and now were going to spend more time and money and i dont even know if the problem is going to be resolved. dont buy a car here. save yourself the trouble money and time. this is APEX MOTORS. After buying this car ive heard this happen to a friend who bought their car, and 2 days later had costly repairs. He says that he saw no problems after fixing this car, but he didnt mention it even had problems until after weve had to take it to the dealership three (now four) times. DONT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!! youve been warned!!!!!

Bought a 2006 Honda Civic LX from Apex Motors in November. Told me it was a clean title but there is nothing clean about it. It has a rebuilt title according to Carfax and headaches galore that came with this purchase. The car has bald tires when I bought it, they did not put any one like they said they would do. Sold me a car that had a half tank in the day before and when I picked it up a day later the gas light was on and the oil change was past due. Very nice people: yes. People who lie and cut corners to only bring you misery and head ache after a purchase yes.

The car was for sale for 13,5. Ended up paying close to 18 grand. Just because of dealer fees. I was stupid when I bought it I should have just walked away, but now the car won’t resale for anything close to 18k. THE DEALER FEES ARE RIDICULOUS.

I bought my evo from them in November (paid in full) finally I got to take it home in March. The salesman had told me that they recently rebuilt the motor once and then sold it to a guy who had the motor start knocking and brought it back to resale on consignment. I was told that that owner didnt let them take the time to break it in properly and caused the new motor problem. The previous owner had purchased a warranty. the salesmen (that doesnt work there anymore) told me the motor repair/rebuild would be covered by waranty and would take two weeks. I offered to buy the car as is for a little less, but he assured me it wouldnt matter because the waranty was taking care of this either way. They also told me the turbo would be replaced under warranty and that they would put my exhaust on while they were at it. Neither of the last two were ever done. After a month or so of waiting they advised me that the original plan didnt fix the problem so they needed to rebuild the motor. A couple weeks later, they asked me to pay $1000 of this cost that they had promised the warranty would cover. I was able to compromise to a lower cost to just get this over with. While they were taking the motor apart the shop that they took it to (that specializes in rebuilding these types of car motors) had reached out to me to let me know some of the parts that were to be put on the car werent the best quality. the motor on the car had a rod from a different type of car that too weak for this model of car. The rod had also been put in backward which caused the motor to spin a bearing the first time. When I called apex to ask about the parts they again asked me to cover more of the cost. I finally negotiated for them to cover putting quality parts on the car. When I was finally able to bring the car home and gave it a good wash I found out that the sunroof, which I knew was off track but was told it will not leak has filled the headliner with water from the wash.

This review is for the dealership at 420 W 200 S in Pleasant Grove. The salesman/ owner is Patricio Hinojosa, he goes by Patrick. It is Apex Auto at the corner of 200 S State in PG.Long story short, I was looking for a car for my daughter, we found one she liked at this dealership. We took it for a small test drive and liked it. We went back to the dealership and asked if the car had had any previous problems. Patrick told me he had only changed the battery. We bought the car.TWO days after we bought the car the transmission broke down on my daughter on the freeway! Long story short we have owned the car for TWO weeks and it has been to the dealership THREE times. When I initially took it to the dealership, the service lady asked me right off the bat, Please tell me you didnt buy this car. The technician told me he has never seen a more screwed up car? Come to find out Patrick had the car at the dealership for over a week with problems. He failed to disclose this.Now after two weeks the car has been to the dealership THREE times, and after $1000 out of my pocket we have it back. I went back and confronted Patrick and he lied at first until I told him to be honest, since he says he is a family dealership. He finally told me he bought this car out of California with all sorts of problems and warning lights on. He couldnt fix them so he took it to the Dealership.I have grown up and worked in this city my whole life, work in this city as a public servant. I thought I would buy local and help the local business. Dont buy from Apex Motors in PG. They buy broken cars and try to fix them for a buck. Patrick will lie and say I have the wrong dealership, but I dont! Feel free to email me and i can prove all of my complaints. I can show you Patricios card, my sales receipt, my receipts from the dealership, and my conversation with Patrick where he lied, which I recorded on my phone! He admits to selling me a car he bought broken down that he couldnt fix. Ok heres my story about apex motors :)Well Ive been on the hunt for a car for the longest time, I was going to buy 2 cars before apex , the first the salesman lied to me about the mileage , it was wayyyyy off . Second another salesman tried to rip me off by $1,000 from what the car was actually worth :/ .But then i found APEX MOTORS :) i just recently bought a Nissan Maxima from them about a month ago :) Im in LOVE with it !💙🚘🔰 the salesman was extremely nice , my parents and I got along with him so well . Also I told him about my stories that were happening and he actually gave me the car for what it was worth , washed my car , put gas in it for me .When I got home from buying it I realized that it was leaking oil :/ so my sisters boyfriend who works at a dearlership and took it in to his mechanic to be diagnosed , and they told me that about the oil and that I needed to get my brakes checked .I called the salesman and told him about it and I said theres no way I could havecaused it when I only bought it 2 weeks from you ( at the time )He was very nice and professional about it and told me to bring it in , I did , he fixed everythingI picked it up I was SUPER HAPPY to see it , later when I was driving home I realized that my A/C wasnt working and it was working perfectly fine when I took it in ? I called the salesman and he told me so kind that his mechanic forgot to put back the freeon which was fine, things happen:)He was kind enough to meet me half way to put it in for me because I live 40 minutes away from his dealership (:After all this Im am one saftisfied costumer ! Because I know for a fact no other dealership would have done that for me (: also if you guys are looking for a car , this is the place! Beautiful cars there , I went yesterday and there is new cars there !!! Theres a ton of options :) I recommend this place to anyone(:Thank you !

Sold me a car with a bad car fax that had been in a accident and with the TPMS sensor light on I should have clued in at the point also missing some other parts on the vehicle like head rest on the rear seats and a door seal and the blend door actuator on ac was going out other than that they were pretty friendly
