Very fast and easy! I’ve been coming to this dollar general for a while now it’s right down the street from me and a worker or manager named Lisa is always very helpful and super nice she’s always making sure the store is organized! She’s the best!

Its a good place to go to get something quick That you need

Horrible customer service. I was followed by an older lady, who happens to manage the store, and harassed the entire time. Im a very slow shopper , because I am constantly trying to find the best deals, and she apparently wasnt liking how long it took me to shop and continuously asked me if I needed help and acting as if I was stealing! I am not a thief! I have spent quite a bit of money in these stores, I was very offended to say the least. I will not be going back.

Friendly employees and have a good amount of different things to choose from then some.

My local DG is always quick and easy. Not the nicest cashiers but they work.

The staff is nice but if they try to put anymore in that store people would not be able to move.

LISA: As the closest store to my house i go there often. Last 3 times i have not been able to get the products i want due to the truck just getting there and they have not put it away yet... TODAY i was KICKED OUT for wearing a backpack?! I ride my motorcycle to work and have my work computer and sensitive information on it at that. NO WAY am i leaving my back pack outside!! 2 customers and 5 or 6 people organizing shelves and a 37 year old guy trying to get toothpaste before he goes to work for 12 hours but i cant?!?! Family dollar down the street had no problems with me. If Lisa had been there this would not have happened. Now they lost a VERY reoccurring customer based on the fact that they discriminate against those who ride a motorcycle. Plenty of Dollar stores in alton. Store going down hill fast.

They have a lot of Charmin toilet paper. Its my brand and havent been able to find it for a couple of months. Kudos!

I like shopping at Dollar General. Easy access to parking. Run in select your items and your out again. I have done this on my lunch several times. Very convenient! Products are the same as the grocery store.

Usually love this place but no one has been wearing thier masks and I feel like bathing in hand sanitizer when I get out of there.If youre freaked out about germs and panic easy lile I do, dont go. Go to CVS or something instead.

I absolutely love this store. Anytime I go in there, I think I’m just going to pick up a couple of items I need. Lo and behold, a half an hour later, I walk out with a whole cart full of items. My husband asks me all of the time “how much money did I spend” and I have to tell him that it was a little more than I had anticipated. The reason why is because they truly have the best prices. It’s a smaller store and therefore it’s got easier access to walk around the entire store in a short amount of time to get what you need. I love, love, love this store!!!!

Awesome deals, out quickly

Has everything I needed at good prices but on Saturdays its hard to walk through the store because they block several rows with stock carts. Saturdays are busy shopping days so it would be nice to be able to walk easily through the store.

They ALWAYS have stacks of product on carts in the islein the way of shoppers.And thats most locations.Its difficult to navigate with a shopping cart.

Always good food and often busy. Call ahead to order for eat in or carry out. Small family owned restaurant, friendly folks.

This is my FAVE DG, but this last time they hadnt put out the new stock because of employee call offs. That bothered me quite a bit, I was there to get A LOT of things. Spent over $400, if the shelves had been restocked I would have spent $600+

This store is the worst, they never have the shelves stocked, items are still boxed up and blocking isles and it dont matter the time of day items are not stocked. Customer service has gone way down since the old manager got sick and couldnt come back. Convenient location but the overall service sucks and they are short staffed.

Easily found what I was looking for, checker even went to look for something that I wasnt sure they even had anymore and brought half dozen or so to checkout counter for me to choose from. This DG store has a history of not restocking shelves promptly, but they have been improving somewhat lately.

Dollar General on Broadway in Alton has a Very Clean & organized Store. Very Courteous employees too. I will be shopping again at this Dollar General!

Mislabeled prices caused an argument with the manager who would not budge on the price. A rack of sunglasses were labeled as 3-5 dollars. Cashier said they were $10. There were no other displays of Sunglasses for $10. Never going back there!

DG is a favorite of mine among the dollar themed chains. Respectable prices and respectful employees at the one I visited here.
