Great experience all around. They do their best to work around your schedule and even have a shuttle. I feel like their prices are very fair and I never felt misled. Jen is a great contact and they did really solid work for us. They even installed parts for me that I had purchased elsewhere. Im sad that we moved out of the area and no longer have access to a trusted mechanic.

I was introduced to this auto shop by my friend who was loaning my car Honda Civic 1999. He took my car to this auto shop because it was making noise. He told me that he gave my car to an inspection in auto shop with a rating of 5 stars. I respected his decision because that is what I would do if I were in position. The same friend called me in the afternoon to tell me that he bad news for me as the auto shop diagnosed more problems than what we expected and they are ...., and it would cost $4500 to fix all of them. I knew it was an old car and rightly so, they may have those problems as they detected. However, what I am disturbed was the exorbitant prices of labor and parts for each of the problem detected. I told my friend that the prices seem high and let me get the car to my mechanic and get it done cheaper. My friend paid a bill of $100+ just for inspection of the car problems and I took my car to my mechanic. My mechanic took a couple of days to repair all of them, but he fixed all the problems (ALL) for a total of $1600 including parts, labor and sales tax. I am so happy that I made the right decision at a critical time. My motivation of this review is not to bad mouth the AUTO WORKS Automotive Care Center (they have 5 stars already and you be the judge), but there are out there auto shops that could repair at a much lower cost (even if those auto shops mostly repair old cars for middle class people).

I have 2 vehicles that I have brought to this shop. I had the spark plugs and wires done in my G6. It was done in a few hours after the once over. No pressure and they dont try to add extra fixes. They inform you of problems or potential problems and ask what you did like done and thats that. Its also nice that the owner personally reaches out to make sure everything is ok and that your satisfied. Great shop!

Many repair shops act like THEYRE doing me a huge favor when I bring them my business. However, my first visit at Auto Works was refreshingly different. They seemed to recognize that I selected them among the many choices out there for auto repair. At every point of service, they held an attitude of gratitude while they were working to earn my business and my trust.They started working on my car the same day I called, they shuttled me back home so I didnt have to wait around at their shop, they called me with updates, options and they were clear about what I could expect.No one likes to drop money on auto repairs, especially if at the end, you have the feeling youve just been robbed at gun-point. The price I paid for the repair of my two engine mounts and a ball-joint replacement was reasonable. I left feeling confident in their work and appreciated for trusting them with my car, so much so, that I returned the next day for a repair that Id been putting off.Their business model seems to be, provide great service today and well still be in business tomorrow. Ill go back to Auto Works. That says it all.

QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISMMy wife and daughter were stranded 5 hours from home and the Auto Works team, most notably Josh were so incredibly helpful. They welcomed them in to do a diagnostic on the issue immediately. Unlike the Hudson dealership that was more interested in going home and said we would just have to drop it the next day to see what was wrong.Auto Works figured out what it was quickly and made the repairs in just over a day. Would have been faster if we had not had to have some major software updating done.If there were more than 5 stars I would give them more. They took a bad situation and cured it quickly, honestly, priced fair and done right. Please dont mess around and go anywhere else. These guys have earned their high ratings.

Do not take your car here!!! I found Autoworks using Google and noticed the many positive reviews, so I thought I was choosing a good auto shop. I was wrong! When scheduling my initial appointment, I was explaining what was going on and the nice guy on the phone said, oh, that sounds like the brake booster. I brought my vehicle in and they checked the check engine light, the brakes, and a few other things that I did not ask them to check. I was informed that I needed to replace the vacuum hose and check valve and it was explained to me that this needed to be done first so that they could test the brake booster. Any way, brought my car in and the work was getting done. Around 11am I received a call saying my car was fixed, but the mechanic broke my windshield (how the heck does that even happen???). Autoworks thankfully paid and fixed that and then told me my car was ready to be picked up (maybe around 3pm). I was on my way to pickup my car at about 4:30 and they called to tell me that my brakes were not fixed and it would be an additional $872 to replace the brake booster. Um, what? I ended up picking up my vehicle and driving it home. Mind you... the brakes were WORSE than when I brought them in. No way was I giving them anymore money after that fiasco. I took my car to North St Paul Automotive and they fixed the brake booster for much less and it was done correctly. I asked them if the vacuum hose and check valve needed to be replaced first in order to check the brake booster and he said not necessarily, it just depends on the level of experience you are dealing with. So basically I paid $280 for Autoworks to make my car worse and for them to break my windshield (who knows if they even gave me OEM glass).Do yourself a favor and take your car to North St. Paul Automotive if you want quality, honest work at a great price.

Honest mechanics, good pricing, staff treat you like a regular even if its your first time.Saved $600 going here to fix an oil leak, as compared to Village Autoworks.

EDIT: Wayne, the owner, gave me a call after reading this review and made it right. I’ve adjusted my review from one star to four stars.I went in with my car that was shaking violently while accelerating. The mechanics couldn’t recreate the problem, which is understandable. That happens.I decided to get an oil change since that might be contributing to the problem ($50 synthetic). There were other, unrelated, issues that they found that I decided not to fix at this time because I couldn’t afford it.When I picked up my car they charged me an additional $130 for diagnostics. They never informed me of this charge when I dropped off the car or when we spoke by phone. I couldn’t afford this either but I paid it so I could get my car back.

Tom Willkom and crew at Auto Works Automotive are the best. Always get me in and back on my way in a timely manner. Wouldnt go anywhere else for car maintenance!

We got a full set of brakes done here with rotors. Turns out we had a couple issues with the rotors a year apart and Wayne and his staff were incredible when it came to remedying the situation. Wayne was great to communicate with, he was prompt and got our car in ASAP and covered everything under the warranty. I felt like our issues were very rare and would have been frustrating to get fixed but Auroworks really impressed us and made it as stress free as possible.

AutoWorks performed a thorough inspection of my 2012 Chrysler Town and Country van and recommended a number of necessary services. Those repairs were made in a timely manner and I am pleased with the results. I particularly appreciated the professional and courteous manner in which they conducted themselves. I will definitely return in the future.

I choose Autoworks because it was one of two shops close by that offers a discount for Costco members.Jen was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. She helped me schedule the appointment and kept me updated about the cost of replacing my bake pads and rotors. Having gotten another quote before taking my VW to Autoworks I knew their price was fair. Jen even caught a double charge on the invoice as I was paying the bill and corrected it.I am very picky about my mechanics and Autoworks just got a customer for life.

I had this shop do a front wheel alignment on my Ford F-150 after I installed new front struts with a 1-1-2 truck leveling lift kit. They got my truck into the shop and started working on it at the scheduled appointment time, the work was completed within the time frame they told me it would take. The cost for the work was $ 32.00 less than they quoted me over the phone. I am very satisfied with the work they completed.A few notes:* Discount Tire in Woodbury, mn. Referred me to this shop and told me they use them for front end alignments since they dont do alignments in there shop.* Customer waiting area is large, comfortable, very clean and they have great free coffee.* A few days after my appointment they called me just to ask if I was satisfied with the work they done on my truck.* Im very satisfied with the complete package of the service at this shop and will definitely use them the next time either of my vehicles need a repair I am not able to do myself.

I have been a customer of Auto Works for years. This time was for a run in with a pot hole. They have loaner vehicles which is a must and friendly faces at the service desk. This is also the first time I needed to get a ride there and the driver was on time and very pleasant.

Pretty well satisfied with the service we received at Auto Works.However, I brought my car in to get three problems fixed - a leaking window, a faulty back up camera, and an automatic window not working. Although they said they fixed all three problems, the window opener starting acting up again fairly soon after having the work done. The rest of the work seems to be just fine, but Im mostly frustrated that they had my car for several days and now I need to have it looked at again.

I can’t stress how happy I am with my experience at Auto Works Automotive Service Center! I’ve been going for a few years now for general maintenance and oil changes. They are always timely and professional, and I have never felt like I was getting the run around for what work I actually needed done on my vehicle. The prices are right around or lower than other options I have researched for services and I have never trusted my car with any other auto shop half as my much as I do here! I would recommend them to anyone and I am so happy I don’t have to feel like I’m getting conned into extra services or like I am being charged an unfair price. Lets see where do I start. Wayne the owner, wonderful guy. He treats his customers and employees like family. Takes the extra time to make sure you understand the repair. And answers any questions you may have. If I could give him 5 more stars I would. By the time I had started speaking with him I had smoke coming out of both ears . I was so angry, and was feeling like i was getting ripped off. Not only did he let me vent. But explained what was what and physically showed me. Also gave me very nice discount for a misunderstanding on my part. And then called me to check on how my car drove home. I found myself stranded due to my engine overheating. I had my car towed to AutoWorks that evening. The next morning I received a call detailing the issue and service charges to repair my coolant system. They had my car repaired the next day. I was very pleased with they’re quick response to repair my vehicle. Their courteous and professional manner in handling this issue were much appreciated.

I brought my car in on Tuesday, 3/10/2020 for a shaky wheel at low speed and my car was fixed and out of the shop by Wednesday, 3/11/2020. From the moment I called, Ryan was very helpful and set me up with a loaner upon my arrival. I dropped my car and was in and out within 15 minutes with the loaner car. Within 2 hours, Ryan called to explain the issue with the car plus additional recommendations. He did not push to have the other recommendations done which I really appreciated. I went with just the fix of replacing my tires and they had my car ready by 3pm the next day. They had excellent service from start to finish. I would use them for future services. Thanks!

I have had great service with Auto Works. They do great work and are great about communicating what needs to be done. I have used a loaner vehicle which was fantastic as I needed to get to work while my car was being worked on.

This is the most honest garage I have ever been to. Jen and Tom at the front are amazing at taking care of customers and communicating what’s going on with their vehicles. Three times now they have proven to me and how trustworthy they are. Once having my brakes checked they told me I had 40% left even though they were squeaking I would be able to get by for a while if need be. Another time I was dismantling the sliding door on our minivan and completely disassembled the window pulley assembly it was a mess but the mechanic there took all day trying to figure out how to put it back together and saved me hundreds of dollars when they could’ve just said we need to order a new assembly. The third time I was having issues with an oxygen sensor on the minivan trying to figure out what was going on a few coils and plugs were replaced but the issue continued I started to fear the worst head gasket replacement at 70,000 miles but they found another sensor and fixed it up at a very reasonable price. They could’ve taken advantage of me during anyone of these three interactions but they didn’t. You can trust these guys.

During the pandemic Auto Works picked up my car in my driveway, took it to be serviced, and returned it to my driveway in a very efficient amount of time! I am over 70 and really appreciated that they were willing to do that! They have been servicing my car for over 20 years and I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Just had a warranty claim where the diagnosis, warranty company inspection and approval, work took a week and they made the process easy and always let me know what the status was. I needed to have my rear brakes done and I wanted them done sooner rather than later. I was so pleased that they were able to let me drop off my car and lend me a car to use so that I could go back to work. They were able to work on the vehicle while I finished my day and it was so convenient. I would recommend this place to anyone. NO pushing for sales, no BSing, just all around down-to-earth people who make sure your car is taken care of and at a fair (if not lower) price than some others out there. Thank you again!
