Worst buyer experience ever! The sales associate, Zane, and his Manager of Rowe Westbrook Hyundai need to learn what “customer service” really means. They do not take ownership of their mistakes, do not communicate over the phone especially when requested to; are not prompt with responses; and in a market where vehicles are hard to come by, they have no sense of urgency in their desire to get you behind the wheel.I made it completely clear in the beginning of this experience, that I was ready and eager to buy a new car, yet Zane would take up to three days to respond to a request. He would not return phone calls, but instead sent one line emails that did not answer my questions nor lend to suggestions of how to promptly proceed. When problems started to arise, instead of a phone call of apologies and ideas how to resolve, I was sent an email where Zane actually wrote this isnt my fault. I felt belittled and disrespected.I eventually had to do the legwork for Zane. I placed a call and worked directly with the Daniel Merrill at the Auburn Rowe Hyundai to have a vehicle transferred to Westbrook for me to purchase. I scheduled an appointment in Westbrook for the day after it arrived to come in and complete the sale. I was then shocked the morning of my appointment to receive yet another email from Zane stating that the Rowe dealership sold the car to someone else, and then lied about the whole situation. The manager blamed the loss of the vehicle on me, stating they tried calling and left me a message to give them a deposit and that I never returned their call. These calls and messages did not occur. I never received any such calls, and when I informed the Rowe Westbrook manager of this, and said I would take my sale elsewhere, he very rudely replied, “Good!” This is by far, the most abhorrent customer communication, support, and utter lack of service that I have ever experienced. Nothing but lies and deception in the Rowe Westbrook Sales Department.Thankfully, this experience does have a positive ending. I contacted the Rowe Auburn dealership to let them know what happened, and they intern told me the truth as to what transpired behind the scenes. Later that day, Eric Mendoza, the General Manager of Rowe Auburn, contacted me, leaving several phone messages that he was able to track down the exact car I was looking for and that it was being transferred from out-of-state to his dealership in Auburn that day. After just a couple of phone calls, and one 45 minute drive north, I was able to purchase the exact vehicle I wanted and from a sales staff that showed me nothing but respect, courtesy, and understanding for the situation I had experienced. If you really want a car from a fantastic team, call Daniel Merrill and Eric Mendoza at Rowe Auburn. They make sure you are welcome, your time and patronage is valued, and are courteous and respectful through every single encounter. The whole team there gets high praises and should be recognized as leaders in customer service.P.S. I LOVE my brand new 2022 Hyundai Tucson I will urge all my friends and family to take the drive to Auburn, they wont regret it.

My appointment on September 24 went a lot better than I expected. Steering wheel grinding was troubling. They looked at it and I was in and out in a little over half an hour. I was extremely happy! They even cleaned my inside windshield. Thank you whoever did that for me!After Leaving the dealership I went across the street to Market Basket. Upon arriving and shutting off my car and getting ready to leave my car. My emergency alarm on my key began to go off, despite my key being in my purse. I tried to no avail to shut it off. I put the key into the ignition and it was totally dead not even a click. Nothing was working. I had a direct number for quick Lane, I called and Anthony picked up. I explained the situation and he said I’ll be right over. Being across the street he was there in no time. I have no idea if all of this will be able to fit on a review, however, Anthony was amazing. After much discussion it was determined that I had used another key for my car and for some reason my car did not like this key. Anthony also did so many things that were over and above his saving an old lady in distress! I give rave reviews to the quick lane team and for the very professional people working there. I was more than happy with Everyone who helped, with a special thank you to Anthony. Anthony was my hero on September 24, 2021.

I was contacted by Ed from Rowe when I was recently looking for a new vehicle. Since this was during a pandemic prices are high and inventory was low everywhere! Ed and Rowe were the only ones willing to actually work with me on pricing. They sold the car I was looking at before I had a chance to make a decision but they had one coming in that they gave me for the same price. Ed was so great and so far the customer service has been great! Ed even helped me getting my phone synced! Dannielle in the finance department was great too. The best part is I never even left my chair to get all of this done. All done via phone, texts and emails . I highly recommend Rowe Westbrook and Ed!

I just moved here and needed my oil changed. I set up the appointment onlie that was an 9k experience they did not answer everything fully. When I arrived for my service I was greeted as soon as I walked in and they were polite courteous and all about the customer!!! My questions were answered and I was extremely happy! Rowe Hyundai Service Manager Josh Blanchard was awesome. I called him with a recall question before we bought a used Sonata out of state. Thinking about bringing it in to service recall closer to home in Maine. He gave us a very thorough overview of some very technical questions, really went above and beyond. Was more knowledgeable than anyone I spoke to at corporate Hyundai headquarters. His great advice and honest approach led us to skip driving to Mass, instead bought a similar used Sonata from Rowe Westbrook. He was able to show us that the past recall had already been inspected and documented with Hyundai HQ for peace of mind. I highly recommend Josh for Hyundai repair services at Rowe.

I recently picked up my new Tucson Lease. I turned in a 2018 Tucson lease and both experiences were great! My salesperson is Jason Burns, and he is very helpful and knowledgeable about the cars. I definitely will return in 3 years and deal with him again. He follows up with any questions I have or products I want. Jim Matthews was really knowledgeable about how to help me into a car around the payments I wanted a month. The staff is super nice helpful. I could have pit $1000 down in my new car, but he told me to save it for a rainy day fund because it would have only saved me $20 a month if I went through on a down payment. So I was grateful for that. Super happy with my car thank you again Rowe Hyundai!

I bought a Jeep here a few years ago it had mold in it. I had to have it professionally cleaned. Rowe refused to reimburse me for that cost. Also the sales manager called me days later after the sale saying I owed them $500 more after what I put down on the vehicle. Claiming I didnt pay the entire balance I agreed to put down. I have directed people to other dealerships since. I hope that extra $500 was worth it though. I look forward to buying a new vehicle this coming year at another dealership that does honest business.

I bought my first new car through Rowe in Westbrook, I was super nervous as I’ve heard in the past that car dealerships are a pain and make it difficult to buy a car. That was so far from what I dealt with! I was immediately greeted with a smile and the process was so smooth and I got exactly the car I wanted, with a monthly payment I was very comfortable with. I worked with Jim as a salesman and he was super helpful and showed me the in and outs of my car (I’m used to old sh*tbox cars, so this was a big upgrade), and Danielle the finance worker was so helpful and helped to lower my APR. I also got the pleasure of meeting Russell, the squirrel that hangs around the dealership and begs for peanuts, which they have a bag of inside the dealership, it was so cute and made the process all that sweeter. I could not recommend this place more for anyone looking for a new reliable car! Would give over five stars if I could!

Update: I’ve raised my rating after taking with them about the problems with the cleanliness of my car. They were apologetic for the over sight and have offered to fix it. Great customer service!I used the collision center here. Overall I was very pleased with the responsiveness of the center on giving me updates on my car. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They lose some stars though because my second loner car was not cleaned before it was given to me and it also had less than a quarter tank of gas when I got it. Also my car was not cleaned before it was given back to me. I was not expecting a full detail before I got it back but I would have thought they could have cleaned up the mess they made and I had only had my car for about 2 weeks so it is practically new. I had dirt and dust on the inside of every door and my passenger seat had dark dirt marks on it. My center console area was also fairly dirty. Also I had scuff dirt marks throughout the car. Additionally my driver door had dark dirt stains all over along with some minor scratches on the inside panel. The dirt thankfully came out with some tough scrubbing once I got home. Overall I wish I could give a better review because the repairs were very good and my car looks like new but the treatment of the inside of my car is little to be desired.

Lou Couture called me in response to my visit to the Rowe Hyundai website.Told him we were interested in looking at the KonaHe set up appointment for Monday, August 16 in WestbrookWe met him at 3 and he showed us a Kona and went over the features. We test drove the Kona and decided that it was too small after driving a Forrester for 11 years.He then showed us a Tucson and a Santa Fe. We decided to drive the Tucson.While we were gone he had our car appraisedBecause the computers were down, we set up appointment for Tuesday to see if we could make a deal.We met him at 11 as scheduled and he had everything ready and we agreed to the deal.This was the easiest dealing we ever had in 50 years of buying carsLou was great to deal with - very professional and knowledgeable.We will definitely come back to him in the future and have already referred him to our neighbor who is starting her search for a new vehicle.

Rowe Hyundai is consistently a top end operation. I have been taking my Santa Fe for service there over a number of years. They always do an excellent job of taking care of my vehicle and keep it in top shape. The pricing is fair and they never overcharge. One of the services that was supposed to be done and was written up on the invoice was a tire rotation. The tire rotation was NOT done! Is your service department trying to insult my intelligence? You pick the wrong person to try to sell short. I can only imagine how many customers have not received the service they deserve and probably paid for. I will be making a full complaint even though I really do not have the time. This definitely does not restore anyone’s faith in humanity.

I was dreading having to go to a dealership to have an issue with my check engine light looked at that was rejected by VIP as “too difficult” and “something only a dealership can fix”. Rowe Hyundai Service in Westbrook were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, understanding, funny, COVID safe, timely for an appointment (same day) and simply made the visit one of my best at any vehicle repair shop ever. I will consider going here for ALL of my future vehicle service needs. I find it worth paying slightly more on hourly rates or parts to get that level of customer service. I had a very mixed experience at Rowe. I went in looking for a limited version of the vehicle for a leasing special but when I returned the next day they were all sold in bulk. Not anyones fault necessarily but very frustrating. I do feel that I was treated well on price for the next model up thanks to the sales manager, to that was a big poaitivie. When it came time to sign and drive off , I was in line and next for at least two hours. Not t how I intended to spend my Saturday.Overall the price and deal I received was good, but my experience less less than.

I just wish that he would have got out from behind his desk, which was way in the back, making me feel like I had to raise my voice, so he could hear me. After having my car less than 6 months, and driving less than 6k miles, it needed brakes all around, had a leak in the transfer case and needed front and rear control arms. This car was serviced by rowe hyundai before I purchased it and clearly was rushed through the shop. Luckily I opted for the extended warranty. They checked the brakes, per my instructions, prior to purchase. Said I would be good for a while. Clearly they were just blowing smoke.Further more it took over 4 days to finally talk to a person, after leaving numerous messages. Getting in touch with anyone at the service department is like pulling teeth. Never a real person, always a voice-mail. Its extremely frustrating. Everyone is really nice but if I didnt have an extended warranty I would definitely think twice about bringing my vehicle here for service.Overall Im not impressed at all and cant recommend this place to anyone.

As a new lessee of a Kona, I want to give a shout out to Ed Giroux, my salesman, who is the real deal. He spent almost a whole gleeful hour going through the nitty gritty features of this tangle of tech and setting up my preferences.Ed served up each grand slam feature like Jimmy Connors on a first serve at Wimbledon, gauging my reaction. Of course, I am pretty tech savvy, but some of the stuff clearly blew me away and when he could sense I was impressed, he beamed. He genuinely was proud of his product.Ed is knowledgeable, experienced, and doesnt talk to you like he learned some scripts on spinning customers in sales school at all. As before when I worked with Leif OConnell in 2018, he represented Rowe Hyundai with excellence, professionalism, and went above and beyond to get me the best vehicle, payment, and provided excellent service! He comes with my very high recommendation. He had everything ready to go when I got there, and turnaround time for getting back out the door with keys to my new vehicle in hand was 45 minutes. I walked into Rowe Westbrook Saturday morning with absolutely no clue what I was doing or how the process of buying a brand new car even goes.
