I like how they have a big variety of products and also they have their own brand which was cheaper than the regular ones.Everyone working here is amazing and this location of safeway also has a Starbucks in it.You can ask customer service for the Safeway card and this way you can get extra offers and good deals.

Its a grocery store. Prices slightly inflated. Paid $13.00 for 4 blueberry muffins, 6 pack 16.9 oz bottles of water & 6 pack 16.9 oz bottles of coke zero. Easy and safe walk from our hotel.

In my experience, worst Safeway so far. I was shopping for groceries on Sep 7, right before they were closing. I go there too often and spend money as I like to eat fresh. I realized that I forgot one of my main grocery bags at self checkout window when I got home. There were cameras, the security guy, the staff and all but I tried to contact them first to ask them if they see my bag, I called customer service number and there was a rude lady with exhausted tone who definitely was not willing to help me and eventually she hang up on me after telling to drop by tomorrow cause they are closed. I am not a big fan of facing a loser after being irresponsibly informed. This is not customer appreciation. If you are closed then dont answer my call if you are not going to help at all. Just because you dont take pride on your job, cause because you are almost ready to take off doesnt mean you can be rude about it. Do you know what happened after? I didnt go ask for my bag. There were two steaks and two veggies inside my bag. In fact I never went and will go there ever again. I am a foreign so I assume they didnt wanna hear me. What a pity place filled with unhappy workers. Alternatives Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Giant. Use them instead.

Safeway in SW by the Waterfront metro station has been very socially responsible about setting up the store to remind people about about safety and security during these times. They have had supplies of everything we need, and they have very good customer service.

Do NOT buy the mixed box of beer for $12 bucks if you actually want beer. These hucksters lure you into thinking you are getting some kind of assortment of decent beer. Instead, what you end up with is a handful of ciders, a bunch of hard seltzers and a 3 or 4 random beers (ice house, red stripe, peroni). In fact, the one bottle of Peroni they included only had about an inch of beer left in the bottle - which was still sealed. When I called, the manager basically said oh well...sorry. I guess I shouldnt have just said beer. Gee, ya think? Bottom line, the beverage manager should be left to ferment somewhere else.

Actually awful pretty much everything. The worst part is the customer service. Employees hide or pretend not to hear you when you ask questions. When you do ask a question they are rude and dont even try to help. The lines are slow and long.As for the food: the onions are constantly surrounded by a swarm of flies. The produce is rotting. The chicken is woody. The frozen foods are melted and refrozen.I live within a block of this location and I do not shop there.

I enjoyed stopping at this Safeway while waiting for the Flix Bus. The workers are great! I bought lunch at the food station and it was great! Very tidy!

Great 24 hour location on the same street as a Capital One Bank and a Chipotles to name a few. There is underground parking, curbside meter parking and a public parking lot across the street.There is a police station across the street, 3 to 4 blocks from the Washington Convention Center and the Mt. Vernon Square Metro stop.The entrance is welcoming as you pass by the floral dept. and the coffee shop with seating nearby. All the other departments are well stocked and inviting. There is a great variety of produce and products to reflect a diverse clientele.The staff was attentive, the store was spacious and well maintained. You have self service check out options and because it is open 24 hours, it is usually not crowded.Plus, with the police station across the street, you feel safe shopping late at night.

It has mostly all need for the alternative foods I eat. And its very reasonable.

Went here to get a money order. I could tell that no one was happy to be there. I did not get acknowledged until after the customer service lady finished her conversation with her co worker about work gossip... And how do I know it was about work gossip? They were loud enough for the entire store to hear. Never again.

Nice store cant take cart to your car

The store is always under stocked and messy. For a year the fire alarm beeped so loudly it made you jump anywhere near the left side of the store.Selection is okay but I have to go to whole foods or local shops to find anything slightly less conventional than chicken breast or steak.When I move it will be a priority to locate next to a different supermarket than Safeway

The shopping inside was cool. But getting out of the garage parking, not so much!! My daughter and I were stuck at the gate till someone came out to let us go. :)

Came here yesterday which was 7/11/21 ! A Worker told a security I stoled from there! He ran to approached me and ask to see my receipts! I gave him both receipts showing that I paid for all my items! I never go to this Safeway ever this was my first time because the gaint by my house didn’t have lamb chop so I came there to get some! For one I’m grown. I never needed to steal I just got off from a long hard working day! I told the security man don’t ever approach accusing me of stealing ! I have money I work to hard for mine, I never stoled a day in my life and for them to run to me accused me of stealing is unbelievable! They was so embarrassed when they found out I paid for all my items like don’t ever disrespect me like that tf I look like stealing out a damn grocery store!!!So embarrassing

I like the 8-pieces chicken on sale on Mondays. I also like a lot that I can buy their small bowls of fruits and even get a discount if I buy three of them. Mostly, thats all I get from Safeway many times, unless they have something I like on sale.

Store manager was scanning in an aisle and I had to ask 3 times if we could pass by, he had a cart side ways block the aisle. He never said a word to us. Not friendly at all! We did spend $300 in his store. If we were back home, I would have left. If I can avoid it I will not shop Safeway again, due to this Store mgr... btw I was in grocery management for over 15yrs.

A Big supermarket where you can buy everything you need, very good quality ingredients. I love especially the fresh fruit salad made with organic products, dried fruits and juices. There are always promotions and deals, but mostly reserved for club members. The inconvenience: the drunks often settling in the entrance

Was shocked to see a beer and wine isle. For the size it is well stocked and not too far away from 2 subways (4 block minimum Gallery Place and Mt Vernon/Convention Center). The bad, not a lot of parking and it closes at 10pm (should be 12am).

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I am currently 7 deep in a line to check out, and they are CLOSING REGISTERS. At 8PM on a TUESDAY. Its a nice store and well stocked, but I have never in my life had to wait for so long to check out at a grocery. Id rather go to Wal-Mart. Let that sink in. Stay as far away as humanly possible.Update: Yup. Still terrible. Im here in a line 9 people long at 11pm. No self checkout lines open. Updated with picture also. Im apparently a masochist and an idiot for thinking by 11pm it would be tolerable.

This Safeway food and Pharmacy is very clean with lots of variety of stocked foods and products. And great customer service offering many services like Western Union, DC LotteryThey also sell Postal Stamps.and many more services for the patrons who shop or visit on site managers always available to assist. Great quality food.and Pharmacy.

Very nice store thats above average. Ample underground parking, large number of small carts, clean and helpful staff. This store has a liquor store and wine sommelier. Theres a popcorn station too.

Its a Safeway. Not much to say about it other than everyone is always nice and helpful.

Friendly and organized.

Thankfully they are one of the rare stores to have green and red chilli peppers. I also like the drinks selection here. They have good options for wine. The area they can improve on is meat. I didnt find their meat and fish to be fresh few times. Overall a decent store.

Safeway it a convent for me. They have great sales and foods. Cashiers some are good and some are not with custerms services.

The Starbucks as you enter, in theory, is a great way to enjoy a cup of coffee while shopping. However the baristas poor customer service and rude behavior set the mood for a forgettable shopping experience.

It is huge, though I found the grocery store staff a tad unfriendly. Not a place I would return to unless I had no other options. They were providing vaccinations for COVID so that was a plus. The pharmacy staff was quite pleasant.

I was insulted by a sales person who worked on teller 4 at exactly 12:47pm on 9/2/20. She was delaying me while taking to a customer friend of hers and I simply asked that she should consider that my time is Important to me, then she told me that common sense says I should hold on and let her finish her conversation. That was extremely rude. No matter how stressed you may be, customers deserves some respect.

Its literally a grocery store, they are all the same please stop asking me.

The last time I went there, was the fourth time I had seen an employee bark at an older customer for having difficulty using the self check out system. He was a disabled veteran and it broke my heart. I ended up helping him because I didnt want him to get yelled at by the employee again. It must be the worst job in the store because the attendant is usually in a constant state of irritation. I dont want to support a place that treats people this way.I have only seen three check out stands open at any given time, despite their being 10+ people in the self check out line on Saturdays and multiple employees standing around doing nothing. There are a couple of really sweet ladies always at the registers who are great. I wish I knew their names to give them credit. I constantly feel bad for them because they dont get much help.If you are in the rush or are on a budget, I would take your business elsewhere.

The store was clean and the shelves stayed stock the only problem would be the lack of cashiers and self checkout machines.

I was able ti fine exactly what I wanted/needed and was in and out of the store in record time using yhe self-check services that made my trip fast and hands free from the cashiers use.

Always neat, clean and well organized. The staff is helpful and usually smiling. The checkout lines go quickly so you are not stuck waiting in line forever.

A large 24hr Safeway with a Wells Fargo and Starbucks also inside. All the amenities.

I will say that the vibe is cool. The music will make you want to dance and the staff are humble and friendly. The food is very tasty and homemade! For some reason I had a taste for mexican food and this restaurant appeared !

Always a solid beer selection ... Better prices than Giant. Checkout is always touch and go here, but it does have a more open layout for produce, which is nice.

Like this store it clean. And friendly for the most part. They could improve with bagging the customers food at the regesters that are not self service but full service😜
