This place is the single best thrift/consignment shop I’ve ever visited. They carry a variety of designer and high-quality pieces. Go early in the morning when the shop first opens for the best selection and service…it’s gets super busy on weekends and evenings.

I had been following Secondi on Instagram for a while and finally went in to see a few designer bags they had posted. I wound up purchasing one and it was a great experience! The ladies were so kind and helpful, and explained in detail how they authenticate the designer items. I had never purchased a bag from this specific designer before, and I was understandably nervous about buying secondhand. However, I left assured because they really do know their stuff! Thank you for a great shopping experience! I love my new bag.

I visited the store during a short stay in DC earlier this month. It is quite a lovely store; a gem! They carry a great selection of clothes and accessories with a decent amount of luxury brands sprinkled about in very good condition at reasonable prices. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is really a fun store. During my brief visits, (I went twice I had to return to collect a fabulously massive embroidered white scarf before leaving the city), I did not have the pleasure of meeting Ms Winnie, perhaps next year. More importantly, I left with three fabulous pieces!

The website make it look like the selection is extensive. Though they have nice things it’s just like any other thrift shop just with a couple high end labels sprinkled through. Nice but not above average. The people who work there are nice though!

This is the premiere consignment store in Washington, DC. It is conveniently located in Dupont Circle. The selection of clothing, coats and purses (my favorite) is tremendous. You can also go view and purchase their merchandise online. Whether you are local or from out of town, make sure you stop by this hidden gem!!

My favorite store in DC by far! I found amazing pieces in great condition for a very reasonable price, i.e. Derek Lam brand new boots or Ralph Lauren leather fringe bag with the tag. A must see and come back! (moreover the staff is lovely)

Excellent range of items. There was also a wide range of prices, with some items in the $20-40 range and some in the $150-200+ range. I was impressed by the excellent conditions of all the items. From what I saw, the had items up to size 12 or so, which was nice.I walked by this place a few times on accident because I couldnt seem to find the entrance. My advice is to look up--the entrance is sandwiched between two cafes, and the store is on the second floor. (I did not notice an ADA accessible entrance, but it is possible one exists!)

Large selection of over priced, matronly clothes. All seasons are displayed together. Merino wool sweater mixed in with tank tops. Heavy winter pea coat mixed in with floral sleeveless body con dresses. Suede knee high boots mixed in with flips flops. Not trendy!

A very cute boutique consignment shop. I didnt have as much luck as my friend did, but I did enjoy browsing the racks of expensive items at reduced prices. She walked away with a beautiful tie front jacket and some boots. The skirt in the picture I wanted, but it was a little out of my price range.

Ive shopped at Secondi for several years and highly recommend that you do the same if: you appreciate a friendly and helpful staff dedicated to customer service, you appreciate a clean, light and airy atmosphere while shopping (love that inviting couch in the window btw), you appreciate a great selection of clothing AND in particular, if you appreciate a wide selection of luxury accessories.

The entrance is a little hard to find, but worth it. Its on the second floor, (up a steep flight of stairs) and its a second-hand shop, and so I guess thats why its named Secondi. Worth it for a nicely curated collection of higher-end gently used clothing.The people who look over the items brought in for consignment have a pretty good eye, accepting and selling whats recent, and turning away whats been sitting in the far recesses of someones closet for too many years. Items are in excellent shape, good quality, and for some of the selection, top-of-the-line.This is not your typical thrift store. You wont find ratty jeans for five bucks. Youre paying for quality, just much less than youd pay for it new. Items are well displayed and organized, with racks for different types of mid-to-high level designer clothing on one side of the store, hung by size, and within each size, items of similar colors grouped together. And on the other side of the store, there are the seriously higher-end items you want for big events -- like a Chanel evening dress, an Armani skirt suit, or a pair of Louboutins.I was in a hurry one afternoon but really wanted something nice for an event that night; I stopped in during lunch and found the perfect silk blouse and pencil skirt. Hope you have the same luck as I did!

Plenty of choice on this second floor gem! Great pieces in great condition. My wife found some nice bargains over there, I wish they had clothes for men too.

I have had different experiences as a customer versus a consigner. As a customer, Secondi treated me with much politeness and respect, and I have always left the store happy with the items I purchased and with the service. So far, I have had about five appointments, and I must admit I am extremely disappointed in the attitude Secondi took toward me as a consigner last Friday. The employee who was looking at my items was very nice and friendly. The woman at the computer, however, would giggle and grin quite conspicuously at whatever I said - perhaps that was because I am not a native speaker and I would ask them for the best way to describe some items, or, perhaps, she did not like the fact that I would bring 10 items or less per appointment and ask why this or that item could not be consigned. Anyhow, I left the store very disappointed and unfairly treated. I hope the store owner and/or the manager reads this and takes measures, because apart from that, the store is very good - I still give it 5 stars.

Do not consign here. As other reviewers have mentioned, the woman who runs this store is sketchy and rude. She took several of my items to sell, and then told me she ‘donated’ them without asking, which I’m highly doubtful about. I suspect they will claim to have ‘donated’ your items while still selling them for profit.

This was a great (read: dangerous!) find. I was always put off from the view in from the window since it looked like heavier-style clothing for a slightly older crowd. However, at the urging of a fashion-focused friend, decided to give it a shot. Definitely was not disappointed. In fact, had to pry myself away! Some of the shoes there while great brands and such, looked like they had been well worn by their prior owners and still carried a hefty price tag. I guess it takes some serious wear and tear to bring down the dollar value on some brand names. They did have a good amount of great buys on brands like Laundry, BCBG, Theory, etc. Their selection on the smaller sizes wasnt as robust as I would have liked, but that seems to usually be the case. Ill definitely be back again.

The people here are so rude and nasty. When you drop things off for them to decide on, they will not let you take back anything they don’t want to sell - they insist upon donating it. That’s pretty bizarre, because if you’re dropping off high end (Prada, Fendi, Versace, etc) you could sell it elsewhere or keep it. It also makes it pretty easy for them to ‘steal’ your belongings, because they can take something for themselves and claim to have donated it. There are too many second hand stores in DC to deal with that.

I have purchased a few high-end items at Secondi over the years. The quality and condition of those items were excellent. The price was a little on the high side, although nothing compared to purchasing the items new. Since the items looked barely used, I did not mind the prices and did not wait for the price to go down (there items are marked to go down periodically until you hit a price floor where it wont be reduced further). I was not risking the items being sold before the price reduction date , especially for the Louos Vuitton briefcase.The only reason I did not give a 5 is because the customer service is not great No one really acknowledges me when I come into the store or asks may I help you (this is after many visits). Once I go to checkout or go up to ask a question, Ive always received friendly service.

Once upon a time Secondi was on the north-bound side of Connecticut Ave NW crammed in a small space on the 2nd floor. The employees were professional, thoughtful and accomodating. You could find wonderful deals and if you were a consignee you actually made decent money.......no more.Theres been a massive change and not in the positive. Its my experience that as a consignor, or regular shopper you will be ignored or rudely treated. I cannot recommend this store for shopping or consigning.

Theres the occasional unique find, and brand name, but not the best quality. I actually care more about quality than brand and some items here surprise me at being on the racks. Just cause its a brand name only gives it a name. So far Ive only bought a bracelet but was not excited about it. And it smells stuffy btw!

Be careful you dont walk by as the doorway is small and the shop is on the second floor. Some mid level items and some very high end things which are behind the counter. Hard to see so definitely ask for help. $75 for a beautiful black Kate Spade large tote and a buttery soft black vintage skinny Burberry belt think $100. I actually worn that to the Senate. Ended up ordering the other thick Burberry belt online a week later that I tried on in store. Im from Wisconsin where were overly friendly which Ive learned DC isnt so just need to all for help if you want to see things. Follow their IG and website if youre not from DC.

My favorite consignment store in downtown DC. Theres always something new to find, and the staff is friendly.I regularly consign here. I think the consignment experience can be awkward for any store, as a stranger is making a judgement call regarding your personal style, but Ive never had a weird experience here. Many of my *best* pieces - like a D-Squared blouse, a DVF wrap dress, were picked up from Secondi.

Great prices on gently used clothing. Killer designer options can be found in bags, shoes and dresses.
