Awesome experience. Swung by to pickup my pre-ordered iPhone 13 Pro Max, there was a bit of a wait and I did have an appointment but I was in no rush. When I made my purchase online I forgot to add the veteran pricing/discount, and after mentioning this to the Apple team member, though understandably I couldn’t get reimbursed as i would have to cancel my pickup and repurchase online which meant I would ultimately lose out of that iPhone I had reserved, they accommodated me by providing me with an in store credit of the discount different on anything in store. I really appreciated that so much! Not only did I walk out with my new iPhone, but a set of AirTags, and some accessories as well, they really went out of their way and it meant a lot. Thank you so much!!

Hats off to The VB Apple store. Not my most favorite place, due to the volume of people that are in there at one time. Today however, I had the opportunity to work with a great Apple employee. Antwan was amazing and should be a standard for all Apple employees. If you go to the VB, apple ask for Antwan you will not be disappointed amd get to witness the true sprit of dedication. 100 stars

Once again this location completely failed at what should have been a valid warranty claim. I bought a MagSafe case 4 months ago and it’s already pealing all over and cracking around the charging port and power button. Heather the “Apple not so genius” I dealt with informs me that the superficial visually irritating pealing portion is covered, but the poorly constructed structurally damaged cracking is not thereby making my claim invalid. How the hell does that make sense and how does Apple do you honor one part covered by a warranty and not another when there’s absolutely no way of fixing the part without replacing the whole? Lastly, the reason it’s cracked is due to my removing and replacing iPhone 12 in order to charge it being that per Apple & most other manufacturers a phone on charge should not be in a case. I really wish the McArthur location were still open because this location sucks.

1st off mask requirement is a joke especially when sign says limited capacity and store was packed nuts to butts. Also why have sales people who dont know about your services? The guy walked away 3 times to get answers. Also my fix literally wouldve taken a few minutes according to sales guy, this is why I stick to android products I can usually do the fix myself, so needless to say I left unsatisfied again with Apple.

Apple can better coordinate with online purchase and appointment time. They held our purchase but gave an appointment anyway. We got there and said the laptop wasnt ready and had to call support to settled the purchase. Lame. In the end the picking time took 1 hour. Apple store itself, the staff was friendly and attentive.

This review has nothing to do with Apple products (which I love) and everything to do with the compassion I was shown by an Apple employee. I visited this Apple Store with a small technical issue that after a few hours in the store, became a big technical issue. Without going into the details, I had to divulge something very personal and the reason why I was getting visibly upset. Melanie came to my rescue and not only solved my problem but spent time listening and showing me care, empathy and compassion that we dont often get in such a transactional space. She went above and beyond and I am so very grateful.

Received terrible service from Josh who showed very little to no interests, care or attention to detail for the my concern(s). He assumed a damaged Passport without any attempts of connecting it to any other devices/ sources other than the one in question; passing me a Drive Safer card that seemed more like a pitch for a partnering business. Also provided false information saying, exFAT-format arent compatible with Apple. All of the aforementioned was incorrect, and I had to return to the mall from Chesapeake after visiting Geek Squad to find out the Passport worked with both an HP and Mac laptop used at their location. Worst-case scenario, I couldve left the Apple store, thrown a perfectly fine Passport away... trusting the professional. Meanwhile, carelessness and unprofessionalism strikes again. Wish I could rate no stars.

Man, these reviews are all over the place. Meanwhile, we had an excellent experience. We brought in a silicon Pro Max MagSafe case from Apple that had cracked while removing it. It was about 11 months old, so we weren’t really sure how that would go. I’m not sure if they either saw how much money we have spent with Apple or if they were just being generous; but, while they informed us that it technically was not covered, they would issue us a store credit for the purchase price as a courtesy. Ended up “upgrading” to a leather MagSafe case instead.Then, because of the great service, we decided to get a MagSafe wallet and two Belkin MagSafe-Watch stand/chargers. We had not intended on buying those other items when we came in, so that had nothing to do with their decision to help us out with the original case. Bob’s customer service was fantastic! He has a hilarious personality. We will be coming back to this location rather than just shopping online.I wish the MacArthur store had just relocated instead of closing; it was much closer to us. But it is what it is.

Too busy of a store for a Sunday. If you want more immediate help you are better off setting up an appointment with a technician. There were quite a few Apple personnel there but must of been between around 30 customers in the store which made wait time for assistance quite long! Despite the long wait the Apple staff were very polite and took the time to set me up with an appointment to speak to with a technician about my problem with my new 11 ipad pro with wifi + cellular in 2 days.

Apple needs to step their game up. As per government the Covid has “subsided”. Why is it so hard to get into your store? Why do I need to have a chaperone when I walk into your store? You guys are messing up the in-store experience. On top of all this your store is the last store left in the area. I came by about a week ago and I asked an Apple employee if I could go inside the store. She was nice but said no not without an appointment. I came by a few minutes later and happen to see a new Apple employee at the front door. I asked if I could go in the store and they said yes but had to wait for a chaperone. No consistency. Management needs to make sure everybody’s on the same page. The ease of coming into your store is not there. People are trying to buy items/electronics from you but you are making it extremely hard. All (customers) we’re trying to do is just make purchases from you/browse, nothing more. So work with us!

The staff is very friendly but the fact of how you cant just walk in and buy an iPad without a shopping session is ridiculous. I ended up spending an extra 30 minutes waiting in the store for a shopping session, disregarding how COVID restrictions are lifting around the country, how is that COVID safe? I just spent an extra 30 minutes in the store for absolute no reason at all because they thought that itll help with COVID prevention but I think it makes it worse.Whoever made that rule up needs to seriously reconsider this whole system.

I had the one of the best experiences ever today in this store. I went in super bummed, my phone had not been working for days and I thought I was 100% going to have to buy a new one. Already devastated I lost all of my content because my phone was unable to backup, I walked in super defeated but was greeted by Josh. Josh was super genuine and helpful- extremely nice and ready to answer any questions I had right off the bat. He gave me hope and explained what was going on with the phone and what he was going to do to fix it. He even explained some things that dealt with my laptop while waiting for my phone to restore. He was so kind and provided awesome customer service. Even though I lost a lot of memories today on my phone, Josh made my day and was super awesome and fixed my issues really quick! Really happy with my Apple experience at Lynnhaven today!

After loading 4 kids under the age of 7 in the car and driving 40 minutes out here they literally did nothing for me. My screen keeps going dark and I can’t see anything and they told me to do a hard erase and reset. The guy told me if that doesn’t work I can come back and they will replace the screen. First of all I could have done that at home and second if you think the screens bad why make me have to come back. Literally my screen is going dark as I type this in the parking lot.

I thought the store in Norfolk was bad, but this store is horrible! A simple battery replacement turned into a pissing match between Apple support and the store, as no one wanted to do their job in regards to providing details why my repair was on hold. I eventually had to ask them to cancel my repair and carried the device to Best Buy. It’s a complete waste of time going to this store!

The COVID mitigation seems a bit extreme. Went there to get a case for my wife’s iPhone, was told we couldn’t enter the store without an appointment. We were allowed to stand outside and they could bring us one, but we couldn’t enter. They were sold out of the case she wanted so she asked if she could look at the dozens of colors/styles they had on their wall, they said no. We asked if we could get in the non-appointment walk-up line so we could enter the store, they said we could not if we were only looking at accessories. We asked how it was possible to enter the store, they said there was no option for entering the store to buy accessories, even if we had an appointment. Evidently you are allowed to have an appointment to purchase hardware, whereas you are subsequently allowed to touch any item you want in the one-on-one shopping experience over an indefinite period of time. However, you are not allowed to stand in front of a wall of cases for even a minute, while not touching a single thing, and point to a case you would like.We had a few polite and witty back and forth’s with the 9 representatives standing in front of the store entrance forming a blockade, trying in vain to see any form of logic in their policy, but in the end we just received the standard ‘Apple knows best, step back’ attitude.Additionally, they hadn’t yet received any screen protectors for the new iPhone 12 Max on its release date. I can see how the arrival of this phone could have really taken this store by surprise...Anyway, we walked 20 feet down the hall and got a case and screen protector at a kiosk for 1/3 the price. (Both in stock!!)This is just one reason I would never switch to Apple.

Beautiful store which is newly opened in Lynnhaven Mall. Its much larger than the original Norfolk Apple Store. Several times larger to be exact.Every Apple product is on display and of course your and pick it up, test it out, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful and everything youve come to expect of an Apple staffer.The new location is very well lit and much brighter than the Norfolk location which has more of a soft lighting. Theres not much else to say here that hasnt been covered. Im sure the folks living in VB are happy to have store close to them now.

I made an appointment to get my phone battery replaced. That’s the only thing I went in for. I was told a diagnostic would be run on my phone to see if then battery needed to get replaced. The test was never run bc the clerk was more focused on selling my a new phone (which I didn’t want) rather than addressing the the issue I came for. Additionally I wanted to get my screen fixed on a different phone since he wasn’t actually helping with my first problem and rather than answering my questions on how much it would cost or how long it would take, he continued to ignore my concerns by discussing a new phone. I ended up leaving completely unsatisfied with not a singe issue resolved. And instead I went to a phone repair store that actually corrected my issue.

Making an appointment was a hustle, took us 3 tries, and even with appointment we had to hang outside and wait. So we werent very happy when we entered the store.Trey totally turned that frown upside down. Even though he wasnt able to revive the phone he got another one from the back, helped us set it up, and helped us to make another appointment for our laptop. We were on our way in less then 20 minutes and the whole experience was very enjoyable.

So I had literally almost the scariest moment of my life. I almost lost everything because I wasn’t good about backing up. I came to Apple 4 times.. trying to find a solution. Becca and Shelby together brought my life back to me. Both women were more then patient with me, and my situation. They were so knowledgeable, and informative. Drove my wife for our wedding anniversary to get her an Apple Watch. Their business listing with Google says they’re still open. We arrive to discover it was shut down due to COVID. We drove 1.5 hours for this. No issues with them being shut down, but someone needs to do a better job of updating their hours.

After speaking and getting passed on to four different techs during my scheduled appointment, in a matter of seconds I had no other choice but reset my laptop for it to work fine after getting about 10k songs deleted. Today is Black Friday. The website says the apple store opens at 6pm. We get here at 6 and it’s not open. The guy out in the front of the store that was waiting before us said someone came out and said it opens at 7. We walk around the mall wasting time. We come back at 7, still the doors are closed. So I figured I’d call the store, not to my surprise the recording says it opens at 8. So I knock on the window door of the place and ask what time it opens and she says 8pm. Y’all need to get in the ball with the website. It said 6am and all these people waking but having this puzzled look on their face if why it’s not open. 8am are you serious??!! the website and the store should be on the same page. Your wasting peoples valuable time here.😡

Hands down the best apple store location in Hampton Roads. Gosh where do I begin?! My rep (Arnold) did a phenomenal job resolving my concerns and issues with 4 of my company’s devices. He was very knowledgeable on short cuts to get things fixed saving me time at the store and is an awesome multitasker. When purchasing apple products I highly recommended getting apple care, it pays off! Anyway, new devices were in for pick up in just a couple of days and their customer follow ups were in perfect timing.

Im an Android user but I went in with a relative who was buying a watch for his wife so she could do very specific tasks like remote vehicle start, get texts and electrical heart monitoring. We were there for 2 minutes before being helped despite the Holiday crowd and a knowledgeable salesman soon helped us narrow down the watches to one and told us which apps to download on the iPhone and how to sync it. They know a lot there. Friendly too and do t work off commission so expect no pressure. If you have or are looking for any Apple product, I would go there first.

I went to the Apple store on a very busy Monday. I was greeted by a very friendly lady and she asked me what the problem was w/ my device.I explained to her what was going on with my phone and immediately I was directed to a young man ;who set me up with a 45 min wait appointment.I left &took care of some errands.I came back and was checked in immediately and waited for about 10 minutes to see an associate .and ,my device was up and running in about 15-30 minutes .I saw Jazzy at the Lynnhaven Mall location.she was very helpful ,friendly and professional,thanks so much I’m very happy!!

My phone randomly blacked out on me this past weekend while I was at a function. Was sitting with a friend and she saw it too. When I finally got it turned back on hours later, it could not longer connect to the cellular network. I took it in to the store the next day. The genius said I had water damage to my phone. My phone has never touched water, is always in a case and my purse. He accused me of this and also presumptuously said that maybe I left my phone unattended and thats when it happened. Rest assured, my phone is my lifeline to my deployed boyfriend, I would never leave it unattended. I cant remember his name but he had a mullet type hair cut. This was by far the rudest customer service I have ever experienced. I am a professional engineer with a clearance and he was basically accusing me of lying and offering no help whatsoever. A little research online shows this has happened to many other people out there and rumor has it humidity can trigger this in faulty indicators, which it had been very humid that evening. I went to my local Verizon store, who had MUCH friendlier customer service, troubleshooted the phone, and told me it was a software issue they couldnt fix in store, and rather than sending back to Apple, would issue me a new phone instead. HORRIBLE experience, shame on you Apple since this is a $1000 phone I purchased.
