Thank you Sand Soccer Gear!!! I started playing in the sand soccer tournament 20 something years ago. In the early years we tried a lot of tricks to save our feet - tape is a must. I even remember wearing little white socks and taping the ankle... that was a disaster. Several years back, I got my first pair of sand socks- a saving grace from the painfully hot sand at my Sunday mid-morning game. We were digging our feet deep into the sand and dining off because of the burning. My boyfriend ran over and got me sand socks. They are a must and I can’t believe I went without them. Saturday morning, I never wear them, but after being kicked up all day, by Sunday that sand burns. The sand socks provide enough protection from both the heat and from shells and debris that cause cuts. The ankle “straps” stops them from falling and keep the sand out. Save yourself the hassle and get them ahead of time. You will want them by Sunday! And of course, you have to grab the commemorative ball.
