I used this business to get my engine rebuilt. The price was fair, but the service was a lot better than expected. The job/ service was affected by Covid and the holidays. But the owner gave me his word that the job would be worth my patience. And as he said, the job was definitely worth it. I was referred to them by my neighbor. He had work done on his vehicle at Family Auto Repair and said that they were honest and didgreat work.So when I took my car there and met waith Keith, the owner, I told him about the problems I was having with my ignition. He told me that he could fix it but it will cost more for him to fix it than if I went to a locksmith that he uses very often we called Taylor Locksmith and he came out to my house the next day and did a great job for much less then I was going to pay Keith.So I would have to say the Keith is about the most honest repair shop owner Ive ever encountered and I wouldnt take my car anywhere else and neither should you.

Brought my car in because the AC was not working. Keith took me right in check my car told me I needed a compressor and told me the price and we set up an appointment for Monday morning. My son-in-law came in over the weekend and fixed it for me so I call Keith and canceled the appointment and offered to payFor His diagnostic service but he said no charge. He was the friendliest nicest guy And honest. Would recommend him to anybody and will definitely go back if I ever have a problem again.

I left my 2005 s600 Mercedes Benz with this shop and I was totally dissatisfied. I gave this guy $2200 of my hard earned dollars and the engine work that he claim his guys performed was unprofessional. Let me add my car was in bad condition but not irreparable. Nevertheless they used permertex on my valve cover gasket, used the wrong spark plugs and left hot wires exposed. I took my car to Danny and it’s driving like it did 11 years ago for the same cost of Keith. I’m very disappointed however lesson learned. That was chump change. Keith she’s back in wonderful condition I’ll never use you or refer you. You’re a true greaseball. When you foreclose in the future I’ll be sure to purchase the property personally!

The job turned out to be bigger than he anticipated , but instead of increasing the price tag, he absorbed the cost to make sure me and my family got back on the road safely. If you are considering any automotive repairs, or dreading the anxiety of having to get auto repair work done, set your mind at ease! Keith is the best!!! Took my Expedition here after it didnt pass inspection due to bad ball joints and a control arm. The place I took it to quoted me almost $1000 to do the work. I called Keith and he gave me an estimation of about $500 less if I buy the parts and bring them in. He said I could bring it in a couple of days later knowing I had only 14 days to get it re-inspected and he was able to get it fixed quickly for me. It passed inspection! So grateful for Keith and his crew for getting me in and out quickly and just being totally HONEST and GREAT mechanics which is VERY hard to find these days. I have had personally great Experience with Kieth and the mechanics on my Ram 1500... after it falling out on me and Going through the whole Insurance deal, Family Auto quoted me for a certain amount of work to be done and gave me fair prices and I have trusted them on my work completely! Would definitely take any vehicle I own to them! Trustworthy and always has stayed true to their word, they dont do any extra maintenance or inspection on the vehicle unless asked or told to do so! This auto repair place is simply incredible. Keiths team worked on my BMW and has it running like new. There are very few places that work on BMWs besides the dealership but this place does, and does it well. He did all the work for half the cost of what the dealership wanted. As a police office, I am always cautious about dealing with auto mechanics but Keith was straight up and worked with me to try to keep the cost down as much as possible. Can you believe that? A mechanic trying to keep the cost down? In a world where everyone is trying to take money out of your pocket, its good to know there are still businesses who care about the customer. We need more people like Keith in this world!! A “customer first” shop that is willing to bend over backwards to get your vehicle serviced while being mindful of the cost and without cutting corners.I never leave comments or reviews, so that should say a lot. I called Keith about my 2000 Jeep Cherokee after I started her up and was greeted with squealing and smoke. I gave him a 2 second rundown of what issues I was having with my drive belt and told him I wanted it towed to the shop. First thing he said was “sounds like you may just need a new belt, after parts and labor...well, don’t worry about the cost...just get it over here.” I also needed my AC looked at since summer has turned my Jeep into a mobile sauna. Keith called me back shortly after my Jeep arrived, turns out my compressor had seized up. It was causing the drive belt and A/C issues along with the squealing and smoke. I was out the door squeal and smoke free with ice cold A/C that very same day.At the end of the day, amazingly fast, honest and friendly service that has earned my business for years to come. Went here after trying to fix a persistant problem for months elsewhere, everyone was very professional and diagnosed the problem for free. It turned out it wasnt completly fixed and family auto rechecked the car for free and explained what was happening with patience. Even gave my wife and I a ride home when we had to leave the car. Couldnt reccomend them enough.

When my transmission went out in my ford expedition I called around to 5 different shops. Keith at family auto was the only one who took the time over the phone to talk through the symptoms my expedition was experiencing. following his diagnosis he ended up quoting me $700 less than any of the other shops I called around asking. Its like this, Ive worked on my own vehicles my hole life saving me and my family tens of thousands of dollars over the years. But now I have reached the stage of my life where Im getting tired an have been looking for a place I can bring my vehicles to, to have them worked on. Now mind it Im very mechanically inclined an can not stand it when someone tries to pull the wool over my eyes. But Im here to tell you. Never called to check on my truck, Keith kept me up on everything, and they even did little small things like put my head liner back without telling me. He explained everything that needed to be done to my truck so that my wife could understand it. My truck runs so good now its like a brand new one, (260,000) miles. Ive brought my cars and my daughters car here several times. As a woman, theres always some apprehension going to a mechanic, feeling sometimes like i wont get complete honesty, which leads to unnecessary work done hence unnecessary money spent! Keith has always been straightforward with his assessments, recommendations, as well as suggestions. Often times his suggestions are small inexpensive fixes I can do on my own, or hell let me know if its something I can hold off on; always educating me on my cars. When there is work that needs to be done, prices are very reasonable. I have an Audi and Mercedes and my daughter has an Infiniti. I have priced the work with these service departments, and estimates here are significantly much less.

Great shop with excellent warranties. I had work done to the turbo on my superduty less than a year ago and when it started having the same issues again last month, the shop repaired the turbo again with no questions under warranty. They also were able to correct some other gremlins with the braking system. This was not my first dealing with Keith and his crew and it definitely will not be my last. I recommend his services to anyone who asks for a reputable, cost effective (not dealer) repair shop. He has never done me or anyone I have sent his way wrong. Best independent shop in town.

I needed to get a relatively small job done on my 2007 Camry. SF Toyota gave me a quote of $1600 ($800 for parts and $800 for labor). It seemed expensive so I looked around, and called Family Auto Repair Plus. Waylon told me the cheapest and quickest way was to order the parts myself (turned out to be easy, cost $300) and bring them in for installation, which he did for $150. Done quickly, good communication, gave good free advice on another issue.

Keith and his team did an awesome job on my girlfriends jeep. His prices are phenomenal for the work that he does. Id call this place and at least get a quote before going anywhere else. I will be recommending him to friends and family from here on out!

Id like to start off with my experience with this shop was amazing. The previous shop i dealt with left me in a bad situation with my engine replacement job i hired them for. I contacted a lot of other shop once I realized I needed to find someone else. Out of the many shops I contacted kieth at Family Auto Repair Plus stood out the most for many reasons. When talking with him he was very understanding and informal about how they can help. Also he set me up with different options and pricing that varied on what i wanted to do. This place is awesome. Extremely professional. I went there to get my brakes checked out as they started getting quite mushy. Sure enough, a seal had busted and brake fluid was leaking. Instead of telling me I need to replace more than just the busted caliper, they gave me prices for different options and even gave me a military discount. Weve been to Family Auto several times and have never left there unhappy. Their prices are much better than anyone around and the problem has always been fixed correctly and the first time.They did the work for 1/2 the price of what Firestone wanted when Firestone failed our Expedition due to upper control arms. The latest repair was a complete upper engine rebuild and it was done for the lowest price I found in the city.The staff there is wonderful, and have always taken the time to explain the repair, why its needed and what the cost will be. They have always gotten our truck back to me either on time or ahead of schedule.They have earned my families trust and we dont even check with other shops anymore - if something goes wrong we call Family Auto and they take care of the rest.They have earned my highest recommendation I could possibly give and I strongly recommend you give them a chance to earn your business!

I recently brought my car to Family Auto after finding them online. They were very accommodating as I came in without an appointment. They did the work on my car quickly. I had a sensor that went bad and my heat and a/c were not working properly. The pricing was very fair as I had a similar problem occur in another car I owned and it was quite a bit less this time. I am going to use them again if I have any car issues. I recommend them.

Three years ago, we thought we had found our Family mechanic. Now, three years and two cars later, both of which Keith and his mechanics have worked on we are now with no return phone calls, cell phone number changed and we are sent straight to what sounds like a fax machine!! So hey Keith, why don’t you give us a call!!! Still waiting on a part for my thermostat that you supposedly ordered in July when you tried to rebuild our engine. Still having issues with that!! We have put right around $6,000 into the Denali. I am appalled by this “Christian Man”. Our car still has the check engine light on that it did $6,000 ago!! We are now in Illinois and it’s 45 degrees here, my 3 children are being blasted with highest fan speed air conditioning!!! Been asking for all of our paperwork and receipts for the Denali so we can show what “has” been done to the vehicle so we can attempt to trade it in. Can’t seem to get those either. Just lies from this “Man” This is totally ridiculous Keith!!! It’s not in my nature to talk bad about someone but you clearly don’t seem to care about My Family’s well being. Seems to me that you only cared about taking advantage of Matt’s ( my fiancée) small near death settlement!!! You have our phone numbers and our address! The least you could do is send the part and the paperwork like you promised and lied about and said you have sent it 3 times!! Hope your Family is doing well, truly! It is sad that it has to be at the expense of your customers!

After calling around and getting prices to replace the engine in our 2002 F250 we had Family Auto do the work. They were not only the most economical but their warranty was better than the other places we contacted. Top notch service. We highly recommend these guys for any auto work. We have already referred them out to a friend of ours and they will be the only place we take our auto to for repairs.

It is rare for me as a female to walk into a car repair place and not feel like I just got taken advantage of. But these guys were great! They answered all of my questions, explained things in detail, told me what to expect from the repair, and were genuinely great to deal with. And then to top it off they were by FAR the cheapest in the area, and I called 5 other places to get estimates. I will definitely be taking my car to them for any repairs needed in the future.

The owner of this shop has been my long time mechanic. He is caring and dedicated to fixing your car right and at the lowest price possible. I couldnt even start to tell you how many repairs he has done for me and the many different cars of my family. The most memorable repair was when he swapped out an engine in my 94 Camaro. He did this at half of what other shops would charge and the car runs better then new! Give this shop a chance and you wont go elsewhere.

I’m a Marine Officer temporarily in the area for training. I had my clutch go out as well as transmission issues. I was a machanic myself years ago and therefore trust few places doing the same job with the same care on my own vehicles. However Keith and his shop was more than accommodating. Keith and team are the best! They did a rebuild on 2006 Trailblazer and did not give up the fight (had a few bumps in the road with what I would describe as the domino effect, one thing fixed something else went wrong) until Keith and team and I were 100% satisfied. By far the best automotive experience Ive ever had! For someone who is new to yhe area, trying to find a trustworthy auto shop was a gamble, but I really lucked out with these guys. Keith kept me informed about the repair of my engine, and always asked permission before taking a step. Keith also made it a priority to show me exactly what the problem was. Through time and research of new parts, Keith also was able to lower my upfront cost which was already a reasonable price. The technicians at this shop do great work and I truly thank Keith and his staff for making a normally unpleasent experience pleasant.

Crooks! These guys are a joke! I initially asked around to find a shop that could work on a motorcycle I was buying. The owner of this shops wife told me to come in and talk to her husband. So I took my bike over there and he said he could get it running for me.I didnt see my bike again for 2 months! First it was this part that needed to be ordered and then come to find out it wasnt that part but it was another part. There was always a reason why they werent finished. At one point I had left a voicemail expressing my concern about the time Ive been waiting and wouldnt you know it a few days later it was ready. I go to pick it up and I could tell that they were trying to talk to me way too much instead of just letting me look and hear the bike. I literally drove it home and the next day I went for a five-minute ride and it shut off on me. It wouldnt run for me anymore after that. So I took it to the Harley-Davidson shop instead which I should have done in the first place. Come to find out they didnt do any of the work they said they did and they screwed a screw through the carburetor which cracked it and then tried to glue it back together! And surprise surprise they wont answer my calls. These guys are absolute Crooks and Liars! They got me for $650! Dont let them get you too!

Keith P at Family Auto Repair Plus initially replaced the engine in my Jeep back in December. I was so gun shy at every little noise that I ended up bringing it back to the shop three times. Even though it turned out every time that nothing was wrong with it, they never got irritated with me. I have never had such a positive experience at an auto mechanics shop before. I have since refereed friends to them, all of whom were very satisfied with the services provided, and I intend to go back to them soon for a full transmission and clutch replacement. I never write reviews, but this shop deserves its praise.

I haven taken all my family vehicles to Family Auto Repair Plus since they opened. I have always been satisfied. Their prices are awesome. Keep up the good work.

This business is geat! The owner really knows what hes doing and offers free estimates. Everyone in my family brings their vehicles here. I moved to VB a little over a year ago to be near family. My car overheated and blew the head gasket. I was homeless and unemployed at the time and the owner quoted me a very fair price. Then he offered to store the car for free while I made payments on the repairs. I dont know what I would have done if he hadnt worked with me. 😄

Dont go anywhere else! These guys will give you the best price, best attitude, and most trustworthy diagnostics. They charged me $350 dollars less than another auto repair shop.

I just want to say big thanks to family auto repair plus for coming through to save our little vacation if it wasn’t for them we would have never been able to have a great day at the beach. The family and I are currently on vacation from New Hampshire and my worst nightmare comes to fruition when after driving 12.5 hours, our water pump goes. I realize the temperature gauge is just about to touch the h when the family and I pull into a Sonic for dinner. Immediately I prayed to God he would lead us to the right auto repair shop. After stopping at two that seemed nice and were willing to take care of us the next day, we got back to our resort and somehow they heard we were having car issues and put us in contact with the right garage....Family Auto Repair Plus. Everyone that has traveled and been in this same position fears that when you pull into an unknown garage, other than your normal mechanic, they would see the out of town plates and automatically see $$! Family Auto Repair took very good care of us and came in way under the quote from the other garage.Family and I cant thank Keith and his staff enough. If I could Id make the 10 hour drive every time my care needed repair just to deal with these guys.

I made the mistake of paying up front (1,118.00) and kept calling Keith to fix my car Everytime he said Ill call you back in ten minutes which never came,now here it is another year and I want my money back that dont make no sense for him to have scam me.I took him at his word which was not good.I thought a man word was his bond!!!!!!I guess not in his case.😠Im talking about my 2005 Hyundai Elentra you got me mixed up with somebody else you and did nothing for me and my husband because i wasnt living in the state of Virginia 4 years ago. PLEASE GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK !!($1,118.00)

My fiancee and my car broke down and I thought it would cost an extreme amount of money to get it fixed ,but the owner not only saved us money but made us feel like family there. Would recommend anyone to him. Thanks Keith for the wonderful service. Wished your shop was back home. There is no reason I could ever see why anyone could ever give this shop a bad review ever.

The main guy is so nice and helpful. He didnt push me at all to fix all the stuff my car needs fixed but instead respectfully pointed out some of the more serious problems. Hes also a Christian, which may be cool for some people.

Absolutely horrible workmanship coming out of this jack leg establishment. Simply pathetic and sad the way this coward of an owner handles business. I brought a Impala to this dump and after a month of picking it up and taking it back because of incomplete repairs I asked him for a refund. He called the police and lied saying I was assaulting him and got me banded from the property to avoid fixing the problem. A true con-artist at it finest. He did try and compensate for the shoddy work by attempting to repair other vehicles of my girlfriend and I. But still incomplete shoddy work was preformed. So if youre satisfied with poor shoddy workmanship take your vehicle to this dump. Guaranteed...Family Auto Repair wont get the job done right.
