My daughters 2013 Hyundai Sonata cut off on her and we had it towed to Auto Connection (where she brought it from) on September 16, 2021. The next day, the sent it to Checkered Flag Hyundai. We waited a week to hear from them but no answer. Finally, my husband and I drove over there to get an update on her vehicle and we were told it wasnt there. They double checked with the vin number but was not in the system. Call Auto Connection for verification on where the vehicle was and they pinged it at Checkered Flag. So again, my husband had to take off work, drive over there yesterday and walked the lot and low and behold, there was her car on the and havent been service yet. Its been a month and a half without her vehicle and no answers so now we will get a lawyer.

Im thankful for the sales team who was more helpful to me than ANYONE in the service department while my vehicle was with them for 3 weeks. I constantly was given the run around about when my car would be ready and had to call every time to get any update on my car. I showed up twice to the dealership on days it was said to be ready, only to be sent home with yet another pick up date. After approving for my vehicle to be taken by the technician to get the necessary miles for the repair check, my car was returned to me nearly empty on gas and what was claimed to be cleaned and vacuumed out was not evident. Absolutely terrible time management and communication on the service end.

Came in yesterday after talking to Joey on the phone the day before about possibly looking at a used truck they had on the lot. Having come from many years buying cars from another dealership, we were very relieved to find Checkered Flag Hyundai and meet Steve Pugh. Steve was professional, low-pressure, patient, informative, and the only person we spoke with during the sales process. We werent shuffled from person to person as at the other dealership, and we didnt feel the high-pressure sales techniques that we experienced at the other place. Steve convinced us to purchase an upgrade for the warranty, but he did it in such a professional manner (explaining the benefits) that we didnt feel attacked or terribly pressured to add it. My tech was knowledgable without being condescending. My chief complaint was actually a safety feature and she told me in the most professional and casual way. Being that I had spoken with 2 people with the dealership, even with making the appointment and they did not tell me it was a safety feature, it was appreciated that she advised me in a nice manner.

Sorry, but I have to revise this review. The buying experience was fine, but the COMMUNICATION on service SUCKS! Your Bluelink email reports say my car is fine. Your phone operator says I was supposed to get a 3 month service. Now you tell me no appointments available for 3 weeks. VERY DISAPPOIONTING.

Its more of a who instead of a what. My sales rep/product specialist, Martene Hogan, was incredible from start to finish. From the moment I first walked in to Hyundai World stressed out about my then-current vehicle situation, all the way up until she handed me the keys and waved goodbye, Martene was professional, understanding, easy to work with and from minute 1 I felt like she was sincerely going the extra mile for me. Not only would I recommend Checkered Flag, but I would send any family member or close friend specifically to see Martene knowing that she will provide the same level of excellent customer service and make a usually difficult process of purchasing a vehicle an easy and enjoyable one. I feel very fortunate that I happened to be at the right place at the right time for her to have been the one to assist me throughout this whole process. The service rep for my vehicle was extremely rude and disrespectful. You can buy a Hyundai anywhere. This dealership uses a no haggle approach similar to CarMax and just like CarMax everything is overpriced. Buying at this location provides you a good amount of service benefits but the actual service reps are absolutely unprofessional. Ever phone experience the rep is moody, and I actually had a rep talk down and disrespect me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

It was the best dealer shop ever I experienced.Way better than others, because of speed, the appropriate value of the vehicle, and awesome service. Since I did not know much about cars, I was worried about buying a car(because of a lot of scams.). However, she helped me from A to Z. It was all good. especially Martene Hogan Helped me. I also liked ringing bell after I bought my car XD.

I came in for a trailer hitch and left with a new car. Sounds crazy, right? Anthony is AWESOME. This is the 5th vehicle we have purchased with him, yes 5th. We had the BEST experience here. There were no dreadful negotiations or having someone go talk to their manager. We got our dream car for a better price than expected and didnt have to wait for it to come in.Even better, Rich was amazing! He walked us out to the car we wanted and knew more than any other car salesman we talked to did. We needed to get home that day, so he set up an appointment to sign all the paperwork the next day. He was super friendly throughout the whole process, had the car ready and waiting in the bay when we got there, and even gave our daughter a little Car Fox stuffed animal while she waited for the paperwork to be signed. Afterwards, he patiently taught me all about the technology and set up some of my preferences. Service Department does not follow up with customers in reference to their vehicles. Dropped vehicle off on Saturday and my advisor Rene Polanco promised same day pickup. I have been calling trying to get the status of my vehicle and I keep getting the run around. Here I am Monday, still with no vehicle or update. Is this how all customers are treated? I’ve been sent from voicemail to voicemail of different advisors. I left a message with the service departments manager David Rose and hope to hear back soon, however customer service has been poor from this department. I’ll update this review when/if this situation is fixed.

Your results may vary but mine have been horrendous today. My daughters Hyundai has a check engine light keeps going on and the AC goes out. It gives a code that says the AC controller cant speak to the computer. Then later it goes off and the AC works again.I set up an appointment for this morning for 7:45 AM and the appointments page asked me if I needed a rental. The reservation was confirmed and said loaner yesterday I received a confirmation email that still showed a loaner. My daugbter goes to drop off her car and there is no loaner, then the person We are talking to says they dont do loaners. I asked him why the website says they do and the confirmation says she should have one. His answer was I dont know. So we are past that I call at 4 pm and am told they are waiting to have a tech look at her car. I asked what the 7:45 appointment was for and he said oh to meet with a service advisor. I will never bring my car back to this place she just passed 40,000 miles on this car that is nothing.

If you want a real chill, down to earth salesman who knows his products I highly recommend Brandon Holley. My family and I came in about 1.5 hours before closing to look at a purchasing a new vehicle. He took his time, was not pushy or rushing us or trying to force us into something we didnt want. He listened to our wants and needs, helping us make solid smart decisions for our family. Sadly this dealership sold me a lemon. I bought a brand new 2022 Car and it broke after 600 miles and just 20 days after I bought it. They offered me no compensation and my service rep was extremely rude and unprofessional when I expressed my concerns. Do not buy a car here if you expect the customer to be placed first or be happy.

I just hand one of the most amazing customer service experience in a while! I stopped by the service center to ask a question about my car I bought a year ago but my service advisor (Seth Howell) was at lunch. So Isabella Rodriduez stepped in and asked could she help. I explained to her my advisor is Seth (and he is great as well) She said its not a problem because we are a team here you and you shouldnt have to wait until he returns for a question So I explained to her my problem and she went ABOVE and BEYOND to research the issue and give me options. By then i ran into the person (Anthony) who sold me the car a year ago and he also helped with my questions and issues.. At that point my sales rep Seth came back from lunch and also joined in the convo with suggestions.. It was GREAT customer service from them all but Isabella was VERY helpful from the start...

Jeff made sure that I understood everything that I was signing and set up all the features in my car WITH me so that I knew how to do everything going forward. I could tell he had my back and assisted me in making each decision in my best interests the whole time; I really couldnt have asked for a better experience. Keep in mind - this is also DURING THE PANDEMIC and he made me feel so comfortable throughout. Our Agent Mr. Polanco is excellent. He is entirely excused from the following narrative.The vehicle broke, those models where being recalled due to motor failure causing reasons. After a week of wait, a Hyundai inspector ruled it out as Motor Failure. Therefore, makers responsibility. It took a month and a two days to get the car fixed. Loaner cars are extinct at this location. If your vehicle is recalled, be ready to compromise your savings for a rental-car (they refund you back the expenses). If you do not dispose of the amount to rent, be ready to have it rough thanks to them. I am an active duty military stationed on Oceana and my excellent work history was almost tarnished that. For the very few employees that were diligent with this; Thank You. Specially to Mr. Polanco. Very efficient and professional Agent.(If we go back there, please no hate. This was asked for.)

Appointment at 2, arrived early. It’s now almost 5, still waiting. Got a run around for new tires, evidently the ones I chose had been spoken for. Or was it I did not buy my car at this dealership? Service rep finally came out 15 minutes ago to tell me five more minutes.So after I posted this I received a call from a manager asking me to give him a call. So I did wanting to talk about my experience with the service manager at the dealership. Left a voice mail and guess what? No call back! Now I just got a recall notice for my car and will be seeing these people again at the end of the month. Can’t wait to see how long this will take and if I can expect the same lack of customer service I got last time!Nothing has changed! dropped my car off at 10 and went home. Service was for the recall, oil change, front brakes, and alignment. At 5:30 PM had heard nothing from service department and knowing they closed at 6 I drove back to see what was going on. Arrived and they were what appeared to be just finishing with my car. Had to stand around for ten minute while service rep assisted a young female, which involved walking her out to her vehicle. I understand it was allot of work but I received no updates, and it was obvious since I left my car, it was going to be the last finished. Glad I had no plans for the day! Dealership for buying a car is probably great but service department is a zero!

Thanks ACE PURVIS for such an easy, fun car buying experience. I told Ace what I was looking for and he suggested I take a look at this Hyundai even though I was set on a Toyota. We drove around to two other Checkered Flag lots and he was patient and gave me honest feedback without trying to influence my choice. I ended up buying the Hyundai because like he said, it was the best value for our price range! He didn’t try to up sell me, or make me buy things I didn’t necessarily need. Go see him if you’re looking for ANY type of car!

Theyre always so friendly, competent, prompt, and they even vacuum and wash my car at the end. They have a nice waiting area with lots of outlets that I can work in while I wait for my car. I used to stress about going in for service but now its no big deal.

If it wasn’t for Rhonda, this dealership would have lost a customer. I don’t know what her role at the dealership is, but she certainly is an asset. A kind, patient, and informative lady. I made an appointment for my vehicle for a recall notice. Nowhere in the scheduling process or follow up reminders by email/text did it advise me to drop off my car and keys. I was waiting in the parking lot like a vagrant. I was very angry. Rhonda saw me, came over and explained the process calmly and politely even though I was not the most pleasant person. You have a real asset there in her from a customer service stand point. THANKS RHONDA!!!.

This was my first time buying a car through a dealership. While I wasnt sure exactly what I was looking for, Joey was extremely helpful, patient, and never pushy. He sat with me and helped me find a car that was affordable, yet nice and exactly what I was looking for. I mentioned I was interested in a white sedan with heated seats and a sunroof, and while thats a pretty specific request, he found a car with all of those features and more, at a price I can afford! A few days after the purchase, Joey even reached out to me to make sure everything was satisfactory with my new car. I couldnt be happier with the experience! The rest of the staff was extremely kind, as well -- they all seemed genuinely excited for me. :)
