I have been a customer of Eddie and Microtek for at least 15 years. My parents and many of my friends are his customers as well. He has built us many new computers, sold us couple used computers and has often repaired computers or cleaned them of viruses or got them up and running again. He has also sold us and many of our friends and relatives all over the country his streaming live t.v. and video services. We have found him to be very honest, better priced than other places and certainly someone we can trust and have confidence in. As it regards his streaming t.v. and video services.......when they have had issues in the past, the entire streaming industry was having issues....he was never dishonest with anyone and always up front. (Someone made a negative comment on their review that when they had problems with their streaming Eddie met them with hostility ----- I would comment that his cheapest service is on line customer service only. For more money per month, a person can pay for personal service. People always want to pay the cheaper price and get the personal service and they get frustrated and feel Eddie is hostile for not providing that service when they chose the cheaper on line only customer service.) Streaming is not for everyone and it does have its kinks here and there, but we and our friends and family find it well worth it dollar wise. We have had it through him for years......but, to be honest, we use it as an extra to our Direct TV service (because we can record on our DirectTV service and not on live streaming) and we still, way more, than get our money out of it every year. My daughter in CA and friends around here, use it as their primary service and then add on Netflx and Amazon and they love it. Being a little tech saavy helps, but if not, you can pay extra for more personalized service. When I read on this forum some negative comments I honestly cannot believe they are talking about the store and person (Eddie) that I have trusted for these many years. Their experiences are just so alien and contrary to anything that I have ever experienced or seen when I have dealt with them or seen other customers interact with Eddie. Personally, I will never go to any other computer shop. Microtek is like finding a good car mechanic.....once you find them, never let them go!

We rely on them to fix our devices, and give us exemplary service. So much better than dealing with the Apple store!Thank you Eddie! You have been so good to us, and we hope to do business another 20 years!

WARNING about Venice MICROTEK!I’m a customer that paid over $400 to Microtek also known as Amazing Streamz at 1776 Tamiami Trail in Venice for IPTV. Since then, there’s been numerous problems. When a customer asks for help with the constant buffering and erratic programming, we are met with hostility. As a customer, I expect adequate service. Instead, I’m threatened with him shutting off service for asking questions. Do yourself a favor and avoid this ripoff service! Eddie’s advertised $10/month promise is a scam and is really much more expensive with HORRIBLE customer care.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I brought my computer in for repair, Eddie was very patient with me, he explained to me that it wasnt as bad as I thought it was, and they had my PC fixed and back home in 4 hours.Also, they have their own streaming service, and we love it! Me and my husband used to pay $230 for Comcast Internet and cable. Now, thanks to Eddie and Angie, we cut that down to $80 a month, and we have so many more channels! Anyone that it tired of paying a high Cable bill should check them out. They are the best! Highly recommend this company.

Im a project manager for a medium sized tech firm and we needed a technician for an off-site sale in an area we do not cover. I called them and they responded same day. Their tech, Aaron, had the ability and the tenacity to overcome a rather unexpected issue in stride. He was easy to work with and finding a solution was made simple with his help. I WILL definitely use them again in future outside area projects.

I have been a customer with Microtek for approximately 10 yeas--I would not trust my computer needs to anyone else--Eddie--Angie and Aaron provide excellent professional, knowledgeable and courteous service in a timely way. They are honest and respectful--and incredibly patient--in fixing computer glitches and explaining computer issues. On a personal note--they are incredible caring people---the best!

This company is a rip off. They over charge senior citizens and they put a paper towel inside to hold the hard drive secure. Are you joking??? Like WTH is wrong with you. What, you thought wed never know. Youre horrible. If I could give 0 stars I would.!!!!!

I brought my laptop in this morning because it crashed over the weekend, and I run my business on it. They assured me that they could fix it without losing any data. I got my machine back by 3 oclock fixed, everything was great, and it was below the cost they quoted me. I cant recommend them enough. Thank you Eddie, Angie and Aaron! You guys saved my day!

I took my laptop to Microtek Systems because I was having a problem sending email. After leaving my laptop overnight, Mr. Microtek determined my computer was not at fault and the problem was with Microsoft and/or my email service. The turn around time was very short, I brought it in on a Friday afternoon and got the call back Saturday morning. I was charged very little even though Im sure time was spent tracking down the issue. All in all, very good experience with Microtek Systems. Very friendly,honest, and knowledgeable personnel as well. Would definitely recommend Microtek Systems.

Its always kinda scary taking your computer in to a new place. You just never know.... Microtek Systems was excellent! I had a sick MacBook Pro. They fixed it in one afternoon and it has never worked better. Additionally, all three people I came in contact with were really nice. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Microtek to my friends.

Our neighbor’s very old laptop finally went kaput. She was having difficulties with her new laptop that had Windows 10 and not Windows 7.My wife, a fiber engineer in telecommunications, works from home and, on occasion, has had her computer issues resolved by a local business, Microtek, here in Venice. It was she that suggested we go speak with Eddie at Microtek.I went to visit Eddie Shlesinger, the director of sales and service at Microtek, and we had a long talk about my neighbor’s predicament.After discussing viable alternatives, Eddie came up with the simple idea to build a computer and program it to make things simple again for her.And so he did. Eddie had her new computer built, delivered, installed and up & running to my neighbor’s liking the next afternoon. And the cost was, amazingly, quite reasonable.We thank you, Eddie, and Angie and Aaron too! Our neighbor is happy that she can easily connect with her family and friends once again.

I have been using Microtek for all of my computer needs for well over 10 years. Eddie and staff have never failed to fix my problems on the first try. They are the most responsible, friendly people I have ever dealt with. Prices are more than fair, service is fast and accurate, and they are just nice people to deal with.

5 Stars for sure. Eddie and his wife are very professional and very good at what they do. Had a problem with my lap top, took it in and in less than 6 hours it was ready for pick up. I have been using Microtek Systems for a few years now and every time the service has been the same; GREAT. Cant say enough how great they are.

Ed, the owner, was very knowledgeable and nice. He fixed many issues with my gaming desktop. I guarantee he will answer any question and fix any problem you have computer related and probably more. Prices were very fair too.

All the computers in this shop are overpriced. Celeron and Athlon based builds typically go for around $200-300 at a normal retailer while this shop will charge $500-600 for the same. Similarly they have i3-based laptops on sale for upwards of $700 -- anyone who has knows how to shop for computers knows these prices are absurd. The owner got very defensive when I asked him about his pricing model. I think for the most part this company preys on people who do not understand technology. People who are literate in tech already know these warning signs, and you should too.

Microtek has ALWAYS been Fair and Honest with us. We are Mac power users, and it is REFRESHING to find someone who knows more about Macs than we do. Our company runs more than 15 machines at all times, and they have always been there. The staff the Microtek has gone ABOVE and beyond, helping us with a wide verity of issues over the years.They have also helped us to save money on equipment, and never try to “upsell” us. Eddie is good computer tech. Installed solid state hard drive. Has tuned up couple laptops. Reasonably priced parts & labor.

The gentlemen here were polite. That took the time to listen to what I was saying. They were amazingly fast and efficient performing the repair. I was blown away by how good they are. I highly recommend them.

My older iMac had problems. Microtek not only solved the problems but updated the operating system and added other software that I needed. Had the computer back in one day. Prompt, courteous service at a reasonable price. Have already recommended Microtek to several of my friends.

I have known Eddie for a long time. We go back to when the fast computer only had 120RAM, and that was fast! He has a gift for computers that I have never seen in any other specialist or professional. He really cares about his creations and customers. I have been in my own business. sence 1996 any all my computer come from Microtek Systems Inc. I have desktop computer last for 10 years or more. Sometimes it a little hard to avoid spam and viruses. But Microtek System is always their to clean things up. Eddie is my computer Guy!

I bought a new laptop from Microtek. Brought it home and inspected it more carefully. It had obviously been disassembled for repair. I give them two stars because they immediately gave me my money back.Another laptop of mine had a bad hard drive. They replaced a 500GB hard drive with a 120GB hard drive and did not tell me. Took me a while to figure that out and I decided to just live with it.

Im giving one star due to after bringing my computer to get a screan replaced they did not return the charging cord that I gave them when they fixed the screen. After asking him where the cord was he said that I did not bring one but I could buy a new one He then quote of quote called me a jerk. I have been doing business in Venice for the last 30 years and have never been treated as rudly as the owner talked to me. I spent 160$ to get a screen replaced and wasnt even able to check if it worked because I was forced to spend an addition 30$ to purchase a new cord.

Thought I was getting an awesome gaming computer for $2600. In fact what I got was an inferior CPU, motherboard, and SD card, and heat sink problems. Ill never buy ANYTHING nor set foot in that place ever again after being RIPPED OFF.

I’m a tax preparer and on Friday, 4/13/18 my laptop experienced the black screen of death. I ran through all the Utube fixes and nothing worked. In a panic I drove to Microtek System on Saturday morning as soon as they opened and met Ed Slesinger for the first time. I explained my problem and that I had a large backload of work to get done prior to Tuesday. Ed explained that he would immediately take a look at it and get back to me. It ended up being a damaged hard drive that he replaced, but I confess I had not backed up the drive like I was suppose to. He spent the next several hours extracting data from my damaged hard drive and reloading my laptop. I picked up my laptop at 6 pm 4 hours after their normal closing hours. The system works fine and I have been working through my backlog with no further problems. I sincerely appreciate the extra time and effort that was expended by Ed to get my computer working. Thanks Ed!

This place is Awesome! I came here in need of my laptop being fixed. I use for my business so I needed it fixed asap! Other computer shops said they need to order parts and it would take a few days. Eddie at Microtek Systems saved my business by repairing my screen issue in a couple of hours! I couldnt believe it! And at the fraction of the price others are charging!Once I came to pick up the laptop I met Angie. I saw they were selling Amazon Fire Sticks. While looking at them Angie let me know they also have a streaming service that is an app on the Amazon Fire Stick called Acme Streamz. I bought it and took it home. Acme Streamz is amazing!As soon as I plugged it in to the T.V. at home and saw all the Channels, Movies, Shows on here there is no way I could pay for Comcast anymore! So we downgraded to just Internet only! The difference in cost for 1 month of Television and Internet to just Internet was the Subscription cost for a whole year with Acme Streamz! On top of this I used to pay $50 a month for UFC pay-per-view events. Not anymore! I am saving $130 a month with this service! Wow! No way I could pay $150 a month or more for T.V. again!

My computers hard drive broke down last year. I met Mr. Ed Shlesinger for the first time. I’m Chinese, I couldnt express myself well in English. Mr. Eddie and his wife were very understanding. They took the time to listen to what I was saying. And were able to explain my computer issues to me patiently in a way that even I could understand. I felt they are very friendly and respectful and incredibly patient . Mr. Ed Shlesinger installed a new hard drive for me.My hard drive broke down again last week. I found it was made in China. Although I am Chinese, I dont think some Chinese products are of good quality. Mr. Ed. Shlesinger also was sorry about it and installed a new hard drive for me again. It only cost $74.90. I was so surprised, I thought Id heard the wrong thing. Mr. Ed Shlesinger said that because there is a guarantee for service, I would not be charged for the repair. It shows that he is honest and responsible.I got my computer back in next day. They not only installed the operating system and added other software I needed, but also divided the hard drive into three partitions at my request. Now my computer works very well. I appreciate their work very much!All in all, Very friendly, fair prices, honest, fast, expert service! Would definitely recommend Microtek Systems.

I build my own computers, but by no means am I an expert or know it all of all things computers. I have used microtek before for parts and advice. Living in northern Florida now. I came back to Venice to build my mother her new PC. Needing a few unforeseen parts, and a few words of advice later we are on the track to building a killer PC. The folks at microtek are always straight forward and always ready to help. Give them a try on your next build, or if you need them to build, repair, or troubleshoot your computer. They charged me $45 to diagnose my computer and never fixed it tilling me it was too old and recommend me to get a newer computer so it’s picked it up and I took it to a computer shop down the road and only they charged me $25 and had it fixed the next day!I do not recommend this business to anybody!!!
