Great people and great service. Did a wonderful job on replacing my glass table top.

Ive used this glass shop for years to replace glass, from small projects to specialized doors. Trying to call now for days with no answer. Are they still in business as they were the best for special projects, large or small!

Called them a couple days ago about having a mirror cut down. Spoke to the owner John, told me they could do it at the beginning of the day or later in afternoon.True to his word, I called this morning just after opening to see if I could bring the mirror in (42”x 55”) to have 13” taken off length. John said they could do it.45 minutes after my call, I was home and installing mirror. Thanks to Jim & Eddie for doing the work!If you need glass work, give John a call! I highly recommend!

Don’t let appearances deceive or deter you: this place is great. We needed to have a non-traditional, awkwardly sized piece of glass cut, and Venice Glass Shop took care of us wonderfully, not only within our short time frame but also for one-seventh (yes, one-seventh) the price of five other places I had contacted. Ive had multiple works done from glass coverings for dining room tables and entry way tables to mirror inserts for medicine cabinets and entryway nooks. They can come measure or you can bring a wrapping paper tracing in for him to cut. Dont let the appearance of dust fool you, its quality material for individual pieces. Be creative.

We had Venice Glass Shop come out to give us an estimate for our shower enclosure. Spoke to them a few times about what we wanted during our decision making and they were very helpful and patient. They came out today to install and did a wonderful job. Not only were they friendly and professional but they also did great work and cleaned up! I would recommend them.

At the suggestion of a contractor I had used before and trusted, I decided to use them to furnish and install a frameless shower enclosure. BIG MISTAKE !!! After looking at the job and giving me a price,I asked for a written estimate and to order the enclosure.. 5 days later with no action I stopped at their shop for my written estimate which seemed to have annoyed him because he pulled out a paper towel ,wrote a 1 line description of the job and signed it.and said it would be ordered within a week. When I called in 2 weeks I was told they think it had come in a week ago. After some discussion 2 men and my order showed up and installed it and all seemed well until a week or so when a leak showed up due to a leaky seal and a loose connection. As of this date Ive called at least 5 times and been promised a return call. Nothing yet. I did find out there is another company in downtown Venice with a selection of 6 or 7 models to view in a nice showroom that seems much more professional.

Today was my 1st visit to Venice Glass Company and my service was excellent. Needed a round glass cut, and within five minutes I’m paying a reasonable price and leaving with what I was hoping to accomplish! Thank you it was great doing business with you!

I deliberately chose a locally-owned business. Had a very bad impression of Venice Glass right from the time I walked into their dirty front lobby. It was cluttered on all four walls with orders. The place looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The woman behind the doctors-like sliding glass window was on the phone taking an order. When she hung up, she finally yelled out to me to open the sliding window. She proceeded to take my order - written on a legal pad of paper. I told her that i wasnt in a hurry but she said it would be ready within days. After not hearing back in over a week, I finally called. She said shed look up the order and get back to me that day. I told her the next day or two would be fine. Again, I did not hear back from her at all. When I finally called, she said that they lost my order.How does a company survive with written orders on pieces of paper? The lack of organization within the front office was apparent. The Venice Glass Shop needs to clean their house and get up to date technology. The property (meaning the front office foyer for greeting customers) was filthy. The receptionist needed to properly document the order. There needs to be follow through. If you say something, mean it.The only good thing I experienced there was that the lady in the front office did try to be helpful with information. That was about it. I DO NOT recommend to anyone that they go to the Venice Glass Shop. They need to clean up their act. There are many other glass shops in Venice which look out for the customer and are efficient and CLEAN!!

I needed two table toppers custom cut. Venice Glass did an excellent job, gave outstanding service, and were reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

Venice Glass supplied one swing door enclosure in the guest bath and a glass partition for the walk in shower in the master, along with a large mirror in both.I was a pleasure working with John and his staff.

Unbelievably fast service. I have ceiling to floor mirrors in my living room, and suddenly saw that one 42 wide panel was pulling away from the wall. In a state of panic I called Venice Glas Shop. The gentleman who answered the phone asked where I lived. I told him Nokomis. He said he was heading in that direction shortly and would stop and look at my problem. He was at my home in less than an hour. He agreed there was a major problem, put a ladder and heavy item against the mirrored wall to keep it from falling, & & called his shop to send help. Within less than an hour 2 trucks were here,. Jim and another gentleman went right to work, securing the mirrored panel to the wall, & also the same sized panel next to it , which also was coming loose.This company is wonderful. I have used them once before to cut a piece of glass for an end table, and was impressed. My friend down the street feels the same as I do.They are very friendly, prompt (beyond words in this case), do excellent work. and their price is very fair. What more can one ask?I will NEVER ever call any other glass co.

Cant beat their prices. They are locally owned and do a great job. I have used them four times for different pieces of glass needing to be cut from tables to windows to picture frames and have never been disappointed! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

I brought in a jalousie window pane to leave to have a new one put in. He asked if I wanted to take it with me! “I’ll have it done in 10 minutes or so. WOW! He did! I can’t say enough about my experience here!!!

I really wonder if posting these reviews does anything to benefit, or warn potential customers. Unlike Jackie, or Pamelas postings, mine wasnt as pleasant, or favorable.My Story: I dropped off a mirror, that needed to be cut down to size, on Wed., the 19th of July. I informed them that I could pick it up sometime the following week, since I had to go out of town. No, No, No they insisted, itll be ready by Friday, the 21st. I adjusted my travel plans and came by twice that Friday,... it wasnt ready. I returned a week later, Friday, the 28th of July, only to find the mirror still leaning against the wall where I placed it some 10 days earlier. Finally I picked it up this morning, Mon., the 31st of July.It took 5 visits, if you include dropping off the mirror, to get this mirror cut. When I take into account the number of visits, my time, fuel, and aggravation, ... I could of purchased a new mirror, of similar size. Never received an apology, and yes,.....I was charged for their services. Obviously, NOT going back.

Called around for prices on two round pieces of glass for table top covers and these folks were the best. good service and nice people.

Do not keep track of customers invoices, inside shop is a mess, old lady does not remember patrons, John only does what he wants and is friendly with MHP and follows his lead. Will not use them any more

This place sucks!!!!! They dont honor their word. If you tell a costumer that you will be out at certain time and dont honor that time. Thats bad business. Then when you call about where the service guy is,the individual on the phone proceeds to get nasty. I wouldnt recommend them to nobody!!!!!

On a Wednesday afternoon, I drove to their location on Nokomis Ave. The doors were locked. There is no signage anywhere to indicate what their hours are. I called to leave a message, but the phone rang without being picked up.
