Employees are always happy and helpful. Currently Home depot has a great supply of small Norfolk Christmas trees. I love to spend time walking through their plant displays. It makes for a pleasant trip for garden supplies

Another great experience happened at the Home Depot in Venice, FL off of Jacaranda BLVD. Unfortunately we had to replace a hot water heater that blew apart/went out early evening on Friday. It turned out that it couldn’t have been an easier project for somebody in the fix-it-now frame of mind. I’m typically not into naming just certain people, but so many employees of this location went beyond the normal call of duty while I was there making this last minute “have to get it done” big purchase.Sadly, while finishing the final purchase around 8pm, we (customers and employees) all heard a lady screaming, crying and grieving over a phone call she received from another one of her family members. I was drawn over to the aisle to see what I could do to help, but some of the Home Depot team members had the situation pretty much already under control. Not a typical customer help on this night, only personal care and empathy from people were needed, and from my perspective, when I arrived, she was already was receiving it. Even the young kids (grandkids) this customer had with her were being helped out it... Great job everyone, the Home Depot should be proud to have you as above and beyond employees, this was a bad situation that went as positive as it could get late in the day at/after closing on a Friday night. It dropped me down to my knees in prayer after everything that has gone on with the world over the pandemic and society change. We all discovered hope on August 27th and I’m glad I was there to witness it. I will speak of this location and the great employees that work there, without any doubt, the rest of my life. We are all in this world together, this was proof we can still do it... with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint...A+ to the entire Home Depot team including Tyler, Angie, Andy, Brenda, Jimmy, Karen, Nate, Sheryl, Kristin and Tara and all else who helped that family out.

Great place made the customer very happy except for I had to load myself they were I guess most of them were on lunch break not like Lowes but Ill still give you a five-star rating I wish I could get a credit card not enough credit established yet is what they said oh my goodness

Its gotten better. Home Depot corporate, dont go crazy about the pandemic. Its s political/media generated scam. The virus is real but it is less deadly than a common cold. Dont give up freedom for fear from lies!

I purchased a $1,800 Cub cadet riding lawn mower that has never worked right once. When I tried to start the mower it wouldnt engage because whoever put it together didnt put the safety switch under the seat on right. Once I got the lawn mower running the front tie rod fell off,again because the person who put it together didnt put it together right. I have never once been able to mow the lawn without the belt slipping off the lawn mower. When I called originally I was told parts would be ordered for me and they were going to take $200 off the price. I never got another phone call telling me my part was in. My husband fixed the lawn mower but because we were now 32 days they werent going to do anything for me at all. They told me to call Cub cadet and see what they would do. This lawn mower was a piece of junk from the minute I bought it. I will never buy another appliance from home depot.

Great place to get your stuff except for the 8x8 cement block that nobody can keep in stock.

Being a veteran is not really important to home depot,unless you were classified as service related with injuries. So if you were fortunate to come home unscathed,regardless of putting in your time,dont expect a V.A.discount. Go to Lowes instead,you will always get the discount even if you did not get shot or blown up.

Was able to get the refrigerator I wanted here that is also supposed to be available at Lowes but wasnt. Only gave 4 stars because I had to wait around and the one sales person working with another couple didnt say anything like Ill be with you in a few minutes. Luckily another clerk got back from break and was fine except had to do sale in 2 different systems in order to schedule delivery. Even she didnt know why! Computers -- gotta love them!

Great place to shop. If you dont know how to fix something they will explain it so you can fix it yourself.

Staff are friendly and helpful as you are walking about to pick your repair needs. Some are and some are not wearing masks. Building and parking are are handicapped accessable. Was looking for a plastic bonding epoxy. They helped me find it. Sweet! In and out in under 20 minutes to complete my project.

I just recently had to purchase some ground soil to fill in an animal made hole at the base of my homes foundation (along with some mothballs to diminish future animal activity in this same location).I am not a regular Home Depot shopper (but my wife is); so I had no idea where to go to find what I was looking for.As is usually the case for me; I parked my vehicle near an entrance door which was furthest away from HDs gardening center where all of the few items on my shopping list could be found.So, with the cheerful help of 3 spatially distant HD staff: I was passed from one employee to the next until I safely arrived in the gardening center.Once there, however, I was clueless as to what type of soil would be most practically useful for my task at hand.Seeing my confusion, a HD employee approached me and provided me with his recommendation.Then, as I began to place a few new bags of soil into my shopping cart; another HD staff member approached me to advise me that I could purchase this same soil for half price, if I didnt mind the fact that the bags containing the soil had a couple of small holes in evidence.I said, certainly not, loaded 3 slightly damaged bags and proceeded to the checkout.However, I then realized that I had forgotten to look for the mothballs.Seeing my confusion, the cashier gave me explicit instruction, on where to find them, and then offered to watch my cart while I was gone.Finally, this same cashier gave me a generous sheet of brown paper to keep the trunk of my vehicle clean, during the transport of this dirt to my home.Wow!What outstanding service from absolutely every single HD employee whom I encountered.Home Depots personnel department should be commended for having recruited and then hired such an outstanding team of workers.

Friendly staff. A lot of elderly folks working here so dont think the service will be quick. Even though its not fast service dont ever think that you will be forgotten. Maybe thats just it, the longer you stay the faster you will become family

Homedepot is always good, but this time did not have a mini circular saw. When I asked employee he just said should be over there somewhere. Had to go to Lowes. But love Home Depot

RETURN OF LOST CROSS AND NECKLACE!THANK YOU to the kind and good-hearted customer who found my cross and chain that had slipped off my neck while I was in Home Depot on Friday, March 5, 2021.I had very little hope of getting it back, but left my name and phone number with customer service just in case. To my amazement, Dennis, a cashier at the store, called me to say that someone had turned it in. What a miracle! My cousin Barbara dashed to the store and retrieved it for me. I had curbside pickup. It was done very quickly and the staff member was very helpful. He made sure the materials didnt damage my truck bed. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

Dont buy an extended warranty whirlpool refrigerator. Ongoing issues, no resolution. Communication poor. No one has resolved the lemon. Cant keep records whose been here. Dont give you invoice when they are here. Replace same parts over and over.

Ive been buying lumber,. and materials from them for over 20 yrs. I can honestly sayIve never really had a problem with them.. Although A lot of my items I wanted and needed were special orders , so I used the guys at the pro desk most of the time.. Thats the ticket... Those guys were amazing,. they went out of the way to make sure that everything went smoothly and I got what I needed and I was in and out and saved a lot of money. And when youre building homes thats the bottom line...!

No one ever showed up to measure for interior doors within the agreed upon time. I am a local business owner and began process to purchase interior doors for my home. Received the Special Services Invoice from the sales associate. Later, I was contacted by the subcontracting company with an agreed upon time frame. No one ever showed up. Wasted my time and cost me money to bring in an employee to cover for me.

The Home Depot Pickup Service is Outstanding!I have used the Jacaranda Home Depot pick up service twice. The first time I discovered it was super efficient. I parked in the designated pick up area and texted the store as directed. Within minutes my items were placed in the back of my car.Yesterday I had a big order to pick up. As I was parking a Home Depot employee was delivering items to another vehicle. After he was done he asked me for my order number so that he could retrieve it for me. He wore a mask and was friendly and helpful.But, the best part, the five star part, is that because I did not send a text about my item, a woman (also wearing a mask) working in the pick up department came out to check on my order! She saw my car but did not have an order for me so she took the time to make certain I had been served! That is impressive! I only wish I had her name to include in this review.I made the pick up Tuesday, September 8 after 11 am, before 12 noon.

Lots of great workers here today. They helped my husband and i quite a bit. The service they give is why we drive 5 miles when the other store is only 4 blocks away.

Great store, lots of parking, speedy check out. There were not enough sales people, but I was able to find what I needed. I could have used some help getting large objects off of the shelf, that was up high.

I was able to have keys made in minutes and for much less than at Ace hardware. They only charge for the key itself, and they have all kinds of different ones so I dont get them confused! Also they have an app where once you have made keys there, they store it online, so if you lose it again, you can reproduce it without having the actual physical key. Pretty awesome and they have wonderful customer service!

My new washer and dryer were delivered this morning. (I did NOT receive my call the night before as promised.) Two workers put my washer and dryer in place, started each unit and left. The dryer, however, was blowing the air into the room and not out the vent. My husband ran out to them-- they hadnt even left the property yet. One worker came back up and looked at it. Heres his comment verbatim, Well, I hooked it up, but it came loose, so... He said that the vent was too short and just kept repeating that he hooked it up and it just didnt stay. The worker left.My husband went to Lowes to get a part. Hes been working on it for over an hour now and just said, If you want to go to the market, we should go now, because this is going to be an all-day job for me. What the heck?!Im VERY disappointed with the lack of professionalism. I expect something I spent $2000 would be installed properly. Go to Lowes instead!!!!

Only went in the garden center for about 5 mins, decent selection i guess for basic common plants. Cashier was acting weird when we were leaving like as if we stole something but we literally walked a few feet in front of her to the indoor house plants section, both of us wearing skin tight shorts and shirts, my wallet & car keys in my hand so nowhere to hide a stolen plant. It was a little rude and felt like she was acting that way since we were the only ethnic people in that part of the store at that very moment.

Erica was rude and had a bad tone when assisting me. It’s not hard to give customers a nice experience. Erica because of you I will be spending my hard earned money at Lowe’s where I’m talked to nicely.

I can only speak to the garden center at this store, which was fully stocked and well put together. I was welcomed verbally as soon as I walked in, we were able to find what we needed immediately because of its layout, then we were graciously thanked at checkout. Would completely recommend this Home Depots garden center!

My wife and I have been shopping for about a week for an artificial Christmas tree. (After 20 years of buying real trees we finally made the decision to keep Christmas more simple and even more economic in the long run) Weve been to Wally world, two different Target stores, Lowes, Amazon online and today a different Home Depot than the one we normally shop at in North Port. By far, Home Depot has the best selection...and then a distant second was Walmart. We knew we wanted a pre-lit 9ft tree. We narrowed our selection to two of the 5 or 6 9ft tree options they had. One of the two finalists had a tag that said last one on it. So we asked an extremely helpful associate, Kelly if the last one had a box and if there was a discount for buying the floor sample. (Regular price for that tree and the other we had been considering was $349) She checked for us super fast and came back with the answers; no box...but the store would reduce the price by 50%!! We were flabbergasted!! She also helped us find a Christmas tree bag for a 9ft tree for $40...then her and another Associate took down the tree for us. We were both elated to get such a beautiful tree for only $174! We never imagined such a deep discount! The thing that made it perfect was how wonderful and kind Kelly was the whole time. James was the actual manager that got us the discount we were told and he too was great to work with. We LOVE HOME DEPOT because of their continuous customer service...I could write stories for another hour about ways they have helped out my family over the years but my fingers are already tired.😁Merry Christmas everyone

The service was good. The kitchen island i bought was junk. It was very pretty looked great in my new kitchen. But it didnt look good laying in a pile on my kitchen floor. For $1100 it should of lasted longer then 5 weeks.

Service oriented is a goal and achieved. I dealt with Kelly at the front that was amazing, Yvetot that is in flooring that went beyond is duties to help me and i bought all my items from him. And Allan the assist Manager that looked after me after a little issue that was resolved in a heartbeat.I recommend dealing with these people they care.A little negative is Joe in Flooring just plain lazy trying to dump on Yvetot, and the older lady supervisor being rude to me but the 3 people mention at the top erased the bad taste in my mouth.

Terrible customer service. I bought a generator 3 years ago that the company went out of business. I was told to bring the generator in the store to drop it off to have it repaired-it wont start. Was told that the store employee made a mistake because the store doesnt do repairs on the generators they sell and they dont have a company affiliated with the store to send it out for repairs. Store manager offered no apologies or she didnt seem to want to help.

The mandatory masks sign means nothing if its not enforced. Personally, I am against masks and prefer to breathe oxygen instead of CO2, but posting a sign outside your business and upon entry half the people shopping are without masks, makes you look a bit ridiculous. Just my opinion and we all know what thats worth.

We bought a brand new riding lawnmower had it delivered had rust on it and when they bought it to me there was a flat tire we pumped it up and next day loss air they could not find any paper work now im stuck with mower with flat tire

The Depot is a good store. What I dont like about them is that they set up their stores differently and its a pain in the butt shopping from one store to the next.

Close to home and friendly people

Most employees at this store are friendly and competent. However today I was berated in an aisle by a woman employee who could not understand what I was asking for. This was not an English speaking issue, but a failure to comprehend issue. So I rephrased it different ways to see if that would help. FINALLY she understood and showed me the correct product. But as she walked away I was told off, in front of other customers. LOWES will receive my money in this town from now on.

Always find knowledgeable people who almost always give us great advice. 1 worker in doors and windows decided he would look at me and stay behind barricade and not come answer my question. And not let a guy in that area to purchase something. Same guy has been an issue a few visits now. But everyone else was great.

Huge shout out to Kimberly,James, Erica and Tim. When I came to the store to purchase a refrigerator, Tim was extremely nice and helped me through the process. When it came to the delivery, there was an issue with a third party delivery company, I contacted Erica and she went above and beyond to try to help me, keeping me updated throughout the day. The store manager Kimberly and James personally delivered the fridge, I couldnt be more thankful. Thank You so much to everyone.I really appreciate it. You guys are the best !

The employees are not being required to wear masks or to distance 6 feet from their customers. We do not wish to endanger ourselves because this company has decided to be totally negligent to their customers safety and well-being. Hardly any customers had masks on in Home Depot Venice. We try to reach out to management before making this post but they dont answer the phone. We will be reaching out to corporate next. It is a disgrace
