Our appointment was for 9:45 a.m., we arrived at 9:25, for Oil change and tire rotation. Bruce our inside Service agent was very nice and professional. How ever with that said we waited 2 1/2 hours before our car was ready. About 20 minutes before we were told the mechanic had issue with oil plug and had to get a new one. Would been nice to be told when this took place, and offered a loaner so we could go and do our errands.

Wasn’t like the last times I’ve been there. Not very friendly. Couldn’t go with me to show me what was wrong with car. Oh by the way he said. Must be off day. Check out cashier was great. Very pleasant. They also couldn’t ck my key said there wasn’t enough time it was 4pm. Remote isn’t working and it’s not the battery.

I have been a loyal Venice Toyota customer. I visited them October 28/21. Customer service was not as I expected. They did more that my car needed. At the end, I got overcharged. I felt like they were more focus in getting the money than supporting the customer. Sad experience. I was about to get a new car from them. I changed my mind. I will not go back.

A few months back, Toyota corporate sent a letter to me pertaining to a possible defect of paint chipping from our 2015 Pearl blizzard white Avalon. A few months later, my wife noticed that paint did indeed start to chip in small amounts from the A pillars. We brought the car here to get their take on it. The receptionist stated that they would paint the areas in question. Venice Toyota provided a compact rental from Hertz. Two weeks later, We were notified that the job was complete. Upon a brief walk-around, we noticed that the entire car had been repainted, that being all of the exterior metal parts. The paint job was absolutely horrific. It was not repainted in the same color (that being color matched with the exterior plastics). Also, It was pock-marked with fish-eyes & craters with over-spray in the wheel-wells, under the hood, in the trunk and in the gasoline port, not to mention various paint runs. To add insult to injury, the windshield had been replaced (unbeknownst to us) with a very basic Chinese built aftermarket, and the driver side door armrest was scuffed and broken. Immediately, we called Toyota corporate to have a complaint case opened and went back the very next day to complain to the general manager who stated that the paint manager (Tom Grubbs) would be back the following week. Upon return, Mr. Grubbs stated that the paint job indeed had problems throughout and that they would have to buff the paint down , also that the door armrest was not due to their fault, and that I would have to prove my replacement price and quality of the previous windshield (which I did). As for the paint color, he stated that according to Toyota Corporate, his shop was not required to match the paint colors with the original - therefore no effort was taken to.This go around they had the car for about a week - and again, they did allow us a rental , this time from a buy here pay here shop. Upon receiving the Avalon again, he stated that the prior paint job was so bad that they were forced to repaint. We were still able to find fish-eyes in the paint but Mr. Grubbs stated that they can not paint the car to look new as in showroom condition.... That information should have been shared with us at the onset. Venice Toyota charged Corporate $7,267.70 for the initial paint job.Should you be in the Venice area and spot a two-tone 2015 Avalon , that will probably be us. Feel free to tap your horn once or twice so that way we will know that you’ve read this review.

The finance manager Casey was easy to work with and made us feel like we were getting a great value for the products we purchased to protect our new vehicle. Went for an oil change $47.98 Decided not to get the new shock for my trunk for my 2018 Camry. (It’s worn out and the truck opens with too much force.) Not under warranty of course They want $165 and I can get a new one on Amazon for $8.00. The shop fees and added fees the dealership charges are outrageous. I stood there as they told a little old lady it was going to be $700 for a tuneup, spark plugs, break flush etc. A bunch of stuff I’m sure wasn’t really necessary. I wanted to ask the guy How do you sleep at night?The oil change was convenient that was the only reason I went there.

Ask for Murray...the non-salesman salesman! He made our experience from start to finish. We almost went the online purchase route due to the stress of dealerships...but was given a great referral to contact Murray. We immediately knew the car buying experience would be fantastic from the second we met him. I love the negotiating set-up, no little offices-no office at all...make your best offer in the big open space in the showroom. This goes a long way-as weve been in too many sleazy local dealerships that put you in a little office and bring in several managers. Nothing slimy here-just clear, concise, and easy. Just do your homework and be prepared with car values and current interest rates. We truly felt it was full service, we received a comprehensive tutorial on all the features and even met the service guy. Dont forget to Ask for Murray and tell him theHappy Campers sent you :)

Service guys need to communicate! Sit for 1 1/2 hrs to be told they couldnt work on my truck. 🤪🤦🤣 . I guess it just sat there..so did I. 😁Tire rotation..🤫 top of all the fluids like it took an 1 1/2 to do that. Actually it did. 🤣Its all good they do a good job just today was a good day to drink coffee and relax I guess..lol. So Im thankful for the downtime!!

I brought my car in for service and while I waited asked what my used vehicle was worth. I was directed to Salesman Ralph. I told Ralph it was highly unlikely that I would be purchasing a new car but with the market for used cars supposedly high I wanted to check it’s value. We first checked out a replacement new car, same model then discussed prices. It was an easy back and forth a few times and the trade in value was more than I had expected. I returned with my wife and bought the new car. Later the finance agent Eli explained the paper work again it was an easy back and forth, and he was patient and thorough with our questions.We have purchased several new cars over the years and this was by far the best experience we ever experienced. Never felt pressure, and never felt we were being mislead. Hopefully in the future the service experience will match the sales experience.Ralph and Eli get 5 stars.

Started with going to see a vehicle that was 2.5 hrs away and not my first choice. But on the way to the dealership, I received a call stating it wasnt available due to maintenance. The sales rep Katherine didnt let that deter her, she inquired about what I was looking for and found multiple alternatives. They had my number 1 choice on the lot ready for a test drive upon arrival. The sales rep Kevin was very personable and provided some knowledge of the vehicle during the test drive. I must say from arrival to signing a part of soul away was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was great. I wouldnt mind going back or referring friends/family to them.Keep up the good work.

Venice Toyota correctly repaired my 2002 tundra after it was misdiagnosed at a local shop. They took a lot of time to find out exactly where the oil leak was, showed me, clearly explained my options and alternatives, And fixed it correctly. They saved me from making a $2400 mistake that would have still left me with the original problem. Everybody I encountered was courteous and helpful. I am looking forward to the next 230000 miles on my truck, with the help of my new service provider, this Toyota dealer!

Generally I have a very good experience with this place, but this time they were inside my glove box for some reason and left a whole bunch of stuff on the floorboard. Also, when we arrived after we were told it was done, the car was nowhere in sight and they had to go find it and bring it out front. They also tried to charge me double for my alignment and had to remove it. It’s a good thing we looked over the bill.

I have never had an experience as poor as this. Its a good thing they are in Sarasota because they definitely are running a circus. I did end up buying a used car, but be aware, they dont get much right. Titled the vehicle in wrong state and all! Sales doesnt talk to finance, finance (and I paid CASH for the car!) doesnt talk to titling, titling doesnt talk to sales and around and around it goes. You have to baby sit the deal from front end to back end. They just dont bother. My hunch is its tone at the top. When you deal with as many people as I had to deal with and no one bothered to follow up time after time after time, its not just an isolated person. You have to check in constantly to get things done and finished. The paperwork had a dozen errors or more on it. As many times as Ted apologized, he still didnt take initiative to take corrective actions without my prompts, calls, emails and texts. I realize a mistake can happen, but make it a priority to correct YOUR mistake and not leave it up to the customer to communicate between your departments. Geez guys, if you dont want to a car salesman, thats on you...but do your job in the meantime.

I would change to negative 5 if I could. I got confirmation that a car we wanted was still available. Took the day off to drive there since I live in another town hour away. Got there when they opened and turns out it was a BAIT AND SWITCH. When I asked about it. We were told by the person who said it is available that it was already pre-sold.I refuse to do business with liars so we left. Not impressed by the dealership conditions at all. The facility was dirty and old. Not the quality I would expect from Toyota.

My car was parked in a carport for 6 months and apparently had a rat come in the front seat area…I know, gross! I felt fortunate that the damage was minimal but it did tear up a couple water bottles, a hand sanitizer bottle, my seat cushion, etc. I took the car in to make sure it was safe to drive and repair the damage. It was also time for an oil change as well as the 60k mile workup. The car was in overnight, no problem. Angela was very nice, explained what was wrong, etc. I paid the 1123 and change repair bill. Not happy, but whatever. Then I near the vehicle to drive home only to discover it was still dusty and all the plastic pieces were still on the floor. C’mon! You couldn’t vacuum and give it a quick wash?? At least dump the junk on the floor matReally disappointing….

I coincidered my service as an emergency. My 2009 Prius is still a daily driver and it suddenly had a serious failure.I was able to drive it into Venice Toyota the same day for service. There estimate was a bit high, but I trusted them for high quality service.In the end the final cost came in under the estimate and they worked with me to help reduce the total cost.They provided a breakdown of everything that was done. All at normal dear service rates. How can anyone be happy with a high service bill? I am satisfied that I got fast service, and at fair rates.

George and Bill were excellent representatives and good will ambassadors for this Toyota dealership. I haven’t experienced the same from where I bought the car back in Tennessee. Bill took the time to duplicate the squawk and explain what he found. It still baffles me as to why the Toyota gives off such a strong odor of radiator coolant with no signs of a leak. I googled the problem and found similar complaints especially on a 2018 Highlander I’m very pleased with Venice Toyota

The service was good not very happy about the communication between your salesman and your service department as far as whats covered under warranties I thought this visit was taken care of and I ended up with a $240 bill I only have 19,000 miles on my truck I was expecting that the maintenance and oil changes etc would be taken care of free of charge as I was originally told!

Hi to everyone reading this.Monday my 99 Corolla was finished due to my not taking it in to the dealership for repairs.I called Venice Toyota Tues Eve and had a welcoming agt answer.Wednesday I was welcomed and not by over zealous sales people.Very laid back. Professional and human.Within minutes a Corolla was brought to me and was shown what I wanted to know. The sales rep Jason, the acct Chris and another man Ryan who stayed with me were the best.Few questions , minimal paperwork, they helped me with the sale that I didnt think would happen.Ninety minutes later I drove out in a beautiful new Toyota Corolla.It was easy. Ive never had an experience like this. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a very rare car and my local dealership was of no help. I saw that Venice Toyota had one so I contacted them. They told me it was reserved for someone already. They said I’d have to place a deposit to have one ordered because they are not cars that are kept in stock. I initially said no but then a few days later I got a call that someone had preordered one but backed out so it would be available. I drove almost 3 hours to get it and I’m so happy with my new car! First time at this dealer for service for 6 month new car service - basically tier rotation. From time I checked, 8:20 for an 8:30 appointment, finished at 10:20. The waiting area had hot water and decaf, no regular coffee. At my dealer up north, car is washed and waiting area is more attractive. No big deal but two hours to rotate tires is not acceptable. The appointment was made a month before and I received phone calls reminders a few times. Everyone is very nice but too many cars being serviced.

I have to say that this was a very different experience than the last time I bought a car. Over all I would say it was a good experience. The one thing that I did not like was dealing with the finance guy. He did find me a much better rate than what my bank offered me. But he used that to get me to buy the extended warranty. I think if he had thought that I would not have bought it he would not have tried to look for a better rate because he didn’t talk about that until I had said no to it. Then he just kept saying that it was now free because of what “he” did. And kept talking about how new cars now have such expensive repairs. I tell you that I was actually thinking of backing out completely and taking my old 2009 Corolla back home and fixing it up. Because of the pressure I did wind up getting it and so wish that I had not. Main reason why I HATE buying a new car.

My only gripe is that they are getting a bit more aggressive at trying to find parts (wiper blades, air and cabin filters, etc.) to replace even when if it’s not absolutely necessary; the kind of similar experience one would get at a jiffy lube

Placed a $1,000 order and waited for a week to ask when it would ship, and was informed that most of what I ordered wasn’t available and the rest they don’t ship anymore. This could have been conveyed to me immediately. How much longer would it have taken them to contact me if I hadn’t emailed them? Will never order from them again.

Murray was a very good sales person. He was responsive and always there to answer my questions. My only problem was when we went upstairs to finance the price went up very high and they had switched the co-applicant to be the main applicant that was a surprise to us. They also didn’t notify us about having to pay for 84 months we had agreed on 72 months. So I wasn’t happy with the change without my knowledge. I had waited for the car for 4 days so I just wanted to sign and leave.

Brian White has been very helpful in providing the information we needed to select the 2021 Camry LE.. He is also helping us to integrate my cell phone.Dave in Finance was very thorough at negotiating the final paperwork. We are still uncertain that a 10 year service contract is necessary or the extended maintenance plan. He tried to explain it to us but we were too tired to take it all in. We are scheduled to meet with him soon to get a better understanding.
