We were offered a repair check by Tuffy immediately when another popular, local place offered us an appointment 5 days away. The owner was beyond friendly, helpful, and thorough. I almost dont want to tell everyone how good they are for fear theyll get too popular! Ha. Prices are very fair for sure.They have definitely earned my business!!

David and Robin were both very professional, knowledgeable, honest and patient. They spoke to us over the phone a couple of times and took care of contacting our warranty company directly. This saved us time and stress. Overall we couldn’t have asked for more. We will always use this Tuffy on Tamiama Trail South in Venice, FL.

I have been going to Tuffy in Venice for all of my auto service needs since I moved here a few years ago. Its so good to find an automotive service business as professional as Tuffy. Everyone there (from the owner, front office, and technicians) is friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and actually care about you and your vehicle. I feel secure that they are doing right by me and I would recommend them to anyone in need of any automotive service.

I have been swamped and no time to get an oil change that I was past due on. I always use Tuffy, but hadn’t used this location because it’s further from my house. I had an hour to get an oil change last Tuesday and called this location as it was closer to where I was running other errands. Rubin answered, I asked if he could squeeze me an at 5:15pm. Knowing they close at 6pm I was apologetic and let him know if it was too lat minute, I totally understand. He said ‘I’ll take care of you, bring it in.’ I was there at 5:15 and he had me in and out by 6pm. I am so thankful for his kindness and professionalism. Tuffy has never done me wrong and I highly recommend this location!! Thank you Rubin!

Had a noise coming from under my truck. Thought it may be a hanger for my exhaust so called and Rubin said to bring it in on a Saturday morning. Within an hour he called and said it was done and the cost was $26. He fixed that exact issue I thought and was honest and cool to deal with. Will definitely recommend this location to anybody I know and will go back myself if needed.

Initially I went in for a free brake inspection. They found that I needed new brakes, as well as calipers and rotors. My vehicle is older and pre-owned so I figured something like that was going to happen. However, a few weeks later my vehicle became immobile again because of something malfunctioning in one of the areas they had just fixed. I went to another mechanic who found that Tuffy had forgotten one of the bolts in one of the calipers they had changed. I had to pay for the labor to replace the bolt and now my steering is damaged.

Rubin and his team are the best in the business! If you are looking for an honest, fair shop with great prices this is the place! Cant speak enough about their professionalism, honesty and great work. I never leave reviews but had to give 5 stars to let everyone know about this great service!

Got great last minute service for a tire with a nail in it. The manager, Reuben, was professional and empathetic.

What a great experience I had at Tuffy. Had a 4:00 appointment took my car right in at 4 and had be back out in 45 minutes to do 4 minor repairs on my car at a reasonable price. The owner is a veteran and treats people with honesty and respect.

They replaced my rear shocks back in March. Had a bad wheel bearing recently and the repairman said my shocks needed replaced; one was leaking. Took it back and Rubin took a look at it. Defective part! He placed it while I waited. Great service and professionalism.

Tuffy Auto Venice treated my recent service on my 2011 Honda Pilot including new spark plugs, brake and oil fluid changes, tire rotation and fuel induction cleaning promptly and efficiently. Rubin was so honest that I didnt need work I thought I had to have done. I was treated very fairly and not a lot of talk. I highly recommend them for servicing vehicles.

What an awesome shop. I know nothing about cars n prayed i would get to Tuffys in Venice FL who came highly recommended. My alternator needed to be replaced but every light on my dashboard was on. Not sure my brakes even worked. Within an hour Ruben had my car up n running. Hes a great guy, a family man and a veteran who served in Afghanistan 6 tours. I would trust him with any vehicle. He gets 5+ stars out of 5. Fair, honest n trustworthy. Yes, it is possible.

I had my oil changed here, and was pleased with the professional staff and price, so I called them again a few days later when I needed a new tire. David ordered a pair of (odd sized- no place has them in stock) tires and had me back on the road early the next day. The new owner is caring and takes pride in his shop and the crew is polite and helpful.

First of all, I only write reviews when I am compelled for EXCEPTIONAL and memorable service and QUALITY WORK. And I am compelled to write a review for this shop after getting my multiple cars serviced here.So many customers bring in cars after having another shop mess it up. I know Rubin and David always take me to my cars and point them out to me what the previous issues were BEFORE THEY CHARGE ME A DIME. So, if some customers attempt to leave a negative comment, I would ask them if they were advised of the prior issue BEFORE they authorized the service. We the customers should be fair to these hard working business owners.I am not surprised that most other customers are equally happy with service quality here, since every customer I talked to in the lobby are repeat customers like I am.I know Rubin brought his own relays and went through the entire engine bay of my car when his crew (very hard working) were all working on other cars. That shows a lot of dedication for customer service, which many other shop managers and owners dont do nowadays. As I am writing this review, he took in another customer who didnt even make an appointment, just because he needed to go to Disney World this afternoon. Its another example of AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE.I will be happy to recommend this shop to ANY of my friends and family, since I keep finding myself bringing my cars here.If you want a shop that tells you straight up if you need new parts or not, this is THE place to go. From the second I walked in the service was awesome . Rubin the owner and manager is fantastic he what one of his service techs go through my car and gave me a detailed list of things that needed to be addressed. He gave me a fair price and his team of mechanics are all great guys and extremely professional .

Tuffys in Venice installed a transmission in a pickup truck for us during our visit to Florida. Our transmission had failed unexpectedly, but Tuffys was able to get the replacement transmission installed very quickly and without any issues so that we could continue our visit. I just had to write a review!!!! Customer service at its best!! I thought it was impossible to get the attention, care, and professionalism in 2020! Well here I go, I asked the names of the workers to give them all the credit deserved. I pulled in to Tuffys knowing my brakes were almost gone, you could hear the sound and told them about... right away the Service Manager David saw my concern and squeezed me in without an appointment, instructed the Service technicians of my dilemma and as soon as a bay was available, Tom the technician pulled my car in and told me that my brakes were gone!! Of course I panicked, because I could have caused an accident. So David the Service Manager; like precision delegated to all the Technicians Tom go get the parts, Alex, & Justin Technicians who started taking apart the brakes in preparation to put the new brakes on; Tom got back from getting the brake pads and rotors.... then David the Service manager worked on the left brake and Tom on the right brake .... I never seen a team so orchestrated like this in years... I found out the owners name is Ruben, he has the best team I have seen in years.... Went to have a tire patched and they said they couldnt do it because l had already put a plug in it. Said l needed a new tire. Went to Firestone and theu patched the tire with no problem. Dont know if the guy was lazy or was trying to get a commission on a new tire

Entered in on a busy Saturday. We were taken care of within 15 minutes. They fully explained everything and gave great deals on their service. They were even able to find a small nail in my tire that another place couldnt! I love these guys!! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Now let me tell yall about the greatest tuff there is helpful fast nice and honest all things very hard to find but the tuffy in Venice has them all I even tried another tuffy in North Port and they told me they cant lift my ram 3500 so I called the one in Venice and they told me to come on in and if need be they will use jacks in the parking lot to get the job done wow the staff there is one in a million thank you all so very much

He has ALWAYS been a true professional, and does a great job of leaving his personal life at the front door when he walks into work. Edison is also very receptive to all my automotive concerns and address them with ease. I highly recommend this location for all issues, automotive related.

In the past, I have always been a Tire Kingdom customer. Everything in one place. I had never taken a car to Tuffys. After today, Im cutting up my Tire Kingdom credit card because Im never going back there. I had bought 4 new tires with road hazard warranty and a front end alignment a few months ago from Tire Kingdom. I knew one of my tires seemed to be slowly leaking air but I wasnt expecting to wake up to a flat tire. After paying KIA roadside assistance 78 dollars to send a truck out to put air in my tire, I went to Tire Kingdom to get the tire fixed. Both the Tire Kingdom in Port Charlotte and Venice said they were too busy to look at it. I needed my car to work tonight and I was anxious about having to drive on that tire. I went across the street to Tuffys and asked if they could help me. Tuffys was booked solid for 3 days ahead, but Rubin helped me anyway. Not having an open bay, he changed it outside and fixed it himself. That is customer service! This is where Im going from now on. In fact I already booked an appointment to get my oil changed next week.

Went in to get a tire checked out for a hole. Mark and his crew were happy to check out my car without an appointment and got me in pretty quickly with the other scheduled customers. To my surprise, they could not find any holes in the tire, but instead a manufacturer defect with my tire. Mark then advised me on how I could go about getting the tire fixed with my warranty. He did all of this for free saying, I didnt do anything, so you dont have to pay for anything. Although, I thought his knowledge and advice was worth something! Very nice, trustworthy gentlemen working here. They also did an oil change for my husband a couple weeks ago. He was very pleased with the service and the price at his visit as well.

I had the opportunity to visit Tuffy twice in the last week, once for scheduled work and the second time for an emergency repair on my daughter’s car. Mark was wonderful working the front desk. The scheduled service was done by appointment, the diesel truck was in and out of the shop on time and the price was cheaper than anyone around. For the car, Mark was able to get the car in the same morning and finished the job before closing – best of all, there was work he recommended not doing. A five star experience all the way around and this will be my shop of choice for future work.

We are from Canada and had A/C problems. Edison and the mechanics took fantastic care of our Vehicle and us. They went above and beyond expectations. We visit family in Florida at least 6-8 times a year. We have found a place to go when we have car trouble where we feel that we are in good hands. Very trustworthy, will go in to Venice Tuffy for everything we need done on our vehicle. 5 ++++ stars. I forgot to mention how friendly everyone was. Thanks again guys!!!

THe front desk gentlemen always frowning how the shop doesnt make money if they only do Oil change.Then they stripped the drain plug thread in my Suv oil pain, and continue to tell me it will cost me approximately $1000 to replace the new oil pan if I dont want to have my oil leak. Great.

They are honest and friendly. And they do the work diligently and in great time. First, I came with a coolant leak and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it at a great price. Then I came back concerned about my brakes and they checked them out and told me I didnt need new pads because there is plenty left. They said the squeaking I was hearing is common for the age and make of my car, but the brakes look fine. I came in alone and they were so honest and didnt take advantage.

Edit: So after posting the review the manager contacted me and they were extremely apologetic. They offered to take the time to look over are car and help us out. They did and we are extremely happy with the quick customer service and willingness to hear our complaint and actually address it. We went back and are very happy with the end results.This use to be our go to place. Apparently having an older van means my check engine light doesnt matter. Not to mention he keeps trying to tell me we got work done with other mechanics which we havent we have been going to them SINCE we bought this van 4 years ago. If they dont want our business then just be up front instead of dismissive and vague. Very disappointed and frustrated. Will be finding another mechanic.

Stopped by Tuffy customer service about a license plate light bulb that had burnt out. Tuffys service manager, Craig, made our day when he had our car checked and fixed the problem right away, at no charge. WOW, now thats great customer service!! (Much better than the $116 ticket we received from Sarasota Co, without being given a notice to repair it first)
