This building has stopped me multiple times so that I could buy a game. Remember Hollywood video? Game Crazy? Not here anymore, but GameStop is.

Good retail location and helpful staff

After a few years without going to gamestop I decided to stop by. One thing is immediately clear, they are definitely changing and modifying their company and staff to be much more accommodating and helpful to customers. Some changes that werent there before include a shirt/sweater area that include brands and anime that are trending, including meme material from the likes of Baby Yoda and other game and anime staples such as Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Naruto, Demon Slayer,etc... what this show me is that Gamestop is finally understanding who their target demographic is and actually catering towards them.Im not sure nor do I think this type of care from Gamestop existed prior to the big media uproar with their stock, but definitely now with their new plan not only is this a gamestop Id love to come back for my games but also to see where they go from here.

The key holder or manager was extremely rude and would not offer trade ins even though we came in prior 30 mins before and he said he could do either credit or cash, we were just missing a USB cable and we told him we would be back, we were just going to go back and get it.Extremely unprofessional and did not greet us but greeted other people who came in just seconds before us. We went to another GameStop a city away and they were able to do the trade in no problem :). Hire better employees

Worst service, I ordered something and when I went to pick it up they had cancelled my order without notifying me in time to get my son something else. The girl at the counter was so rude about it. Its not my fault you hate your job.

I really try to like this place cause I love games. But this place always have some rude staff who doesnt seem to understand you are serving customers. I would say just save yourself a trip and buy something online or digitally, this place is not worth it

This place asks my 1 year old son to put a mask on! He hardly even understands english at 1! How is he suppose to have a mask on! Horrible manager!

A worker sold me the PRP on a switch lite and told me I would be able to replace it if anything happened even if I wanted just a different color. Well something broke and I actually needed it replaced and they said it can only be replaced if there’s an electronic issue. Wish I wouldn’t have bought it

Not only are ALL the employees super helpful, but they have the best selection of new and used games and consoles, a reward program that includes the COOLEST free monthly gaming magazine as well as points that can be turned into free stuff, and they are a proud supporter of Autism Awareness ( on a real and personal level). Lets show them some love!!!!! I will never purchase a gaming product anywhere else. I am GameStopped for life!!!

I called to reserve a PS4 and had to call about 3 times before they answered the phone. After being put on hold for over 10 minutes they finally reserved the machine for me. I went there and the purchase went smoothly, minus the interruption when the guy stopped helping me in order to ring up a kid and his mom. This was fine, I suppose, but he did not even excuse himself for delaying my purchase. Not the greatest in customer service I would say.

Needed to go to a GameStop (literally ANY) to pick up some KH merch and we came in about 10 minutes till closing. The staff was amazing! They were interested in the same things we were so we just chatted away. We got the merch we came for but I was also looking for a gift for my nephew since his birthday was the upcoming week. My nephew loves Charmander, but unfortunately, they had sold their last plush during the day. They did however suggest to call other places to have them put it on hold for me. But I declined. I told them no worries, Ill find him something. One of the employees ended up searching up the item I was looking for while I was looking at other stuff and he told me where I can find what I was looking for. Sadly, since Im in San Jose, everything was a bit too far for me (SF, San Mateo, etc.).All in all, the staff working that night were awesome! Amazing customer service and their interest in our conversation was very genuine. Its hard to find that nowadays.Thanks guys for making our stop in easy and not boring.I wish I could remember their names. I just remember the guy I talked to said his girlfriend was into collecting disney pins and the other guy was really into KH.Also, thanks for the free Det. Pikachu poster and pokemon card. (Yeah, this review is long overdue)

I love this place, the staff in this location is always fun to talk to and they are honest about how they feel about a game. They are always suggesting different games and also helped with saving some money buy enrolling in different membership plan. Which was great. Great place and looks fun to work at.

The store is nice and has a bunch of stuff for you gaming needs. Just be ready to spend at least 15 to 25 minutes here when buying. There is only 2 registers there. The staff is helpful and informative. If you have questions its beter to go to the store since they sometimes dont answer the phone.

The workers always take good care of me and family. They are Very patient with all of the questions give to them . They are never rude ore make us feel uncomfortable unwanted because we dont know much about the games , ore the systems .

Rude customer service...

Representative did not want to take the extra minute to look up a receipt to complete a return. Was given a run-around of system limitations instead of receiving some actual help. After a ten minute discussion, rep took my advice and called into a care center to verify a purchase and complete the return, though it was done in a very arrogant and impolite manner. The same treatment was delivered by two of the stores reps. Completely unacceptable way to assist for a simple task.

I love buying video games here, very helpful. If the game you want to by isnt avalible at theyre location they will check other stores to see if they have it in stock at that location.

Normally I like doing business with gamestop, but the way they run this location is inexcusable. They never update what they have in stock online and the staff is passive-aggressive if not outright rude. I suggest either shopping online or going to one of the stores in Fremont.

People say this gamestop is full of rude, inpolite people but I say there not i went in said I was looking for a game but it wasnt there they said they were sorry to hear that and I told them i been looking for the game on 10 differnt stores and they were so nice enough to give me a free game of my choice.So I said thank you very much and they were like no problem sorry we couldnt the game for you. And I said oh no problem thank you for the game that you guys let me pick. And so I left that store happy and greatfull for the nice people who work there.

I went here a few months ago and think might not go anymore because, I traded a game here and bought NBA 2K18 the new one and a store owner since we werent keeping a eye on them, he allegedly took the cover of the game off so we cant return it back ,we came back about 25 mins later still in union landing shopping center didnt even played or opened the game, the person who sold us it went, and the other workers didnt let us trade it in or return it cause since it was a new game and it didnt had the booklet, which one worker took out him self very fraudulent
