Terrible customer service. Do NOT shop here. Took my vehicle in to see what the trade in value was, the salesman drove and I rode around the block with him to test drive the vehicle and then they took me into a back office. While in the back office, multiple people drove my vehicle without permission. The onStar and insurance company track all of my driving stats. I could see where they put a hard acceleration on my driving record which increases the cost of my insurance, wastes my gas, and tears up the vehicle. I asked for a simple reimbursement of $100 for the costs which the damage could easily be more than that if they tore something up in the engine or transmission. The manager was uninterested in resolving the issue and rude. When I got back to my truck, my belongings in the console where all moved around like someone was looking for something to steal or something similar. The offer they gave me on the trade in value was super low and basically a rip off. I would suggest not doing business here. A simple ballpark trade in value can be easily obtained without multiple people driving the vehicle and especially driving it without permission, driving it like it is a race car up and down the block, and shuttling multiple people in and out of it in the middle of the Covid pandemic like it is an amusement ride.

John had delicate hands that were very soft. He seemed confident for a guy his height. I loved his fake accent even though it was hard to understand at times. I called about a car online to verify that it was still available. Received two emails from Trey asking me to call or send him my number and he would call me. I called him, told him I was very interested in a certain vehicle. We made an appointment for Saturday morning at 10:30. I was going to be driving down from Birmingham. When I got there I had to ask twice to speak to Trey. Finally, he came out. The car I had inquired about was parked out front. He turned me over to a salesman and he informed me that someone else had driven the car. Then I was informed that they were going to purchase the car. What was the point in making the appointment?!I thought it was a really ugly way to treat a customer and will not attempt to deal with them again and neither will my son in law and daughter who were also interested in a car.

Disappointing at best. Service technicians are going through the motion but not doing a proper job. Service manager does not return phone calls. Tuscaloosa Toyota used to be a five star place for sales and service. Now, you’d be wise to go somewhere else. The first oil change and tire rotation and they forget to put the tire valve stem caps back on. The most recent oil change and they forget to properly secure the skid plate. Almost lost it while on a long road trip. Lost one bolt. The other was extremely loose. If they continually miss the small things, they can easily miss the big things. Sadly I have about lost confidence in their professional ability. It’s unfortunate as I have been a Toyota owner all of my driving life. Come on Tuscaloosa Toyota, you are better than this!**** 10/08/2020 Edit to original post ****Finally heard from Paul H., the service manager. He was sincerely apologetic and asked for me to come in with our 4Runner and he would ensure that the issues would be resolved and the service expedited. Paul was out of the office today but had briefed Kari on the situation. The service techs went back over the vehicle and replaced items that were missing and reviewed their previous work. After this was completed, Kari had a second set of eyes put on the vehicle to make sure nothing was missed this time around. This is the type of service that I and many others expect from Tuscaloosa Toyota. This is what the Toyota brand is built around. High quality vehicles and great service where customers are treated like family. I have changed the rating back to where it belongs. Many thanks to both Paul H. and Kari for their concern, care and professionalism. My faith in Tuscaloosa Toyota has been renewed. I’m a life long Toyota owner and will continue to be. No better vehicles exist in my eyes. Thanks again T-Town Toyota for taking care of the issues and for looking deeper at possible causes to prevent future issues with other customers vehicles.

Micheal went above and beyond to make my husbands dream of getting a truck come true.

Several mistakes made in service that I could not get corrected.Over charged for oil, charged for 5 quarts should be 4. Rotated tires before time, over filled all tires to 39 pounds, did not secure wheel covers on 2 wheels. Lost 1 wheel cover then found another too looseI secured before it flue off. Met with Service Director Paul Hardin to discuss this terrible serice. He agreed the service was bad and if I came back he would oversee my service and give me partial credit. When I returned and asked for Paul service person returns to say it will be hours before my car is serviced. So I went to Express Oil Change and got service in 20 minutes, including a belt replacement. If they make a mistake good luck on getting any help from them.

We had a great experience at Tuscaloosa Toyota!! This was our first time there, since we live in Shelby County, but it will definitely not be our last. I spoke initially with Sandra Albright, with internet sales, and she was very pleasant and very helpful. Once at the dealership, Sandra got us connected with salesman John O’Maloney. He was GREAT! He never pressured us and was VERY helpful and knowledgeable about the Toyota Highlander. Chad Owens in the finance department was hilarious, and a delight to work with. We had an overall GREAT experience and will definitely make the drive to Tuscaloosa Toyota again (in 11 months!) to buy my daughter’s first car!

Jeremy aided me through the entire process of purchasing my 2020 Toyota Corolla ! He personally picked out three vehicles that would be perfect for me, and I made my decision within 20 minutes on the lot ! If your Toyota has electrical problems or any other weird issue you MUST come here. They are expensive but they have all the equipment and expertise on Toyotas to find these weird issues and fix them pretty quickly. Their building is also very comfortable to wait in while they work on your toyota. My car was at a cheaper place first and they completely misdiagnosed the issue which would not have fixed the car if i went along with them. Turns out all the car needed was a $20 part.

Michael Baltins was very friendly and did not pressure me at all to purchase a vehicle. He even stated it was important to think about it and be sure youd be happy with the decision you make. After I did purchase, he didn’t rush me out, he also walked me to my new car and made sure I understood everything before i drove off and helped me get everything to my liking. Would definitely recommend.
