Ask for Derek, hes amazing! He offered to go to the back to look at the stock items several times. I also went in with intent to only buy shin guards and soccer cleats. Derek asked me if I needed several items that I wasnt even thinking about, that I actually needed. Will definitely be back!

My only complaint about this place is how hard it is to Get help in shoes. I get my kids shoes, sports equipment, hiking & snow gear, my fishing and kayaking gear, and camping goodies at this place. Almost everything is Good quality and good price.

My friend bought a ping pong table. They dont come assembled and the box is huge and heavy. Although the manager and a employee wheeled out to our car and we were not close to the store. They also lifted and put it in our van. He also bought a pair of shoes at 40% off. I browsed the store and was impressed with the wide range of sporting goods and the different selections. Nice and clean and fun to shop.

It’s the 21st century and Mark the manager had the audacity to tell my cousin “ You know what people from this side of town look like”. I am disgusted with this comment. No one as prejudiced as Mark should be in that position of management. For the sake of the company they should pay more attention on their management.

Shady stuff going on at this store. I purchased a $175 Vortex rifle scope and when I got home the box had a $20 Ruger BB gun rifle scope in it. I immediately returned to the store to exchange it and they refused as did their corporate office. ZERO attempt to make it right or help me out. Never again will i shop there or my friends that witnessed this. I’ll be sure to also make sure to advise all of the parents and kids that I coach of this stores shady business practices.Lesson learned to open up boxes in front of cameras prior to leaving stores and don’t shop at Big 5. Its sad but because of this I will likely only shop exclusively at Amazon.

Got new pair of shoes good price

Do not shop at this store. We purchased a pair of batting gloves 3 weeks ago and the gloves have already ripped. I understand stores have return policies but what I dont understand is not even listening to a customer and the reason for the return. The manager on duty refused the return due to wear. Again, we bought 3 weeks ago.

Recently bought a crossbow wasnt the greatest however there no hassle return policy was well great.

Always find what we need here and of course something extra!

Always fun to look through the knife section, see what guns are on special, and try on sunglasses! They often have a $10 off $50 purchase coupon in ad, and join their e-team for another one. Usually better prices at walmart for the same items in fishing gear. Friendly staff, good atmosphere

I used to go in here for certain sporting goods that I enjoy. But every time I went in and asked for ammunition I got strange looks. Their faces went from happy helpful to confused and concerned. It happened every time I went in for so long that I will never return even for other products unrelated to this sport. I dont like being treated like that and the staff needs to be educated on how to deal with customers. I would spend my money that would help pay their paychecks.

Pretty good variety of items through different types of sports and activities. Pricing can sometimes be difficult to determine and sale signs are not always posted next to the actual item it is intended for. Friendly customer service though staff is not very knowledgeable. Good for general items at fair prices.

Fast,clean

Big 5 has a great variety of outdoor sports gear from paintball equipment, to running shoes, to tents for a camping trip. The staff at this Tucson location was informative and offered multiple times to assist me with any questions I may have. I definitely recommend if youre looking for a local place that has general outdoor sports equipment.

Used to be much better. Selection is down, quality is down, and impulse buy pushing is way up. Still, I got a decent indoor/outdoor basketball on sale, but I wont go looking for things there unless I have to.

Old building so it has that old building smell, smell store, close quarters. Workout clothes are WAY overpriced but everything else seems good. Staff is attentive and professional.

I like Big 5. They always have great deals on running shoes. They are often last years version or close out models, but the savings are great.

Its Big 5... Their sales are typically what you would pay for online and the normal-priced goods are very much overpriced. The store is also packed, so it just feels very cramped.However, every-so-often, a sale is actually worth it. And the employees are at least friendly and willing to help out.
