We had been looking for a sofa for nearly a month. We decided to head outside of Portland on a Thursday, and Broadway Furniture was our first stop. I looked around for a bit and fell in love with this sofa as soon as I saw it. Our salesperson, Joel, was amazing. We went to get a bite to eat & discuss it. We figured we would sleep on it but after our meal, we didn’t want to risk it being gone. We went back and said we’ll take it! While waiting for Joel to finish up w/ other customers, we walked around and that’s when I spotted the coolest monkey ever. I immediately knew he would make a perfect vibe guardian. I named him Sergio and announced he shall be ours.We were able to get delivery set for mid-day the following Tuesday. When Evan and Daniel arrived, I quickly learned a lesson. While I had measured for the fit in my living room, I neglected to measure for fit in the elevator or stairwell, as well as through my front door. There were a number of uncertain assessments followed my absolutely masterful work by the guys. They literally turned the impossible into the possible without ever rubbing an inch of the couch on anything but the floor they placed it on in my living room. These guys are just plain miracle workers! But don’t expect them to do the impossible: measure everything they will need to maneuver through!

We bought a custom bedroom set from BWF a couple of months ago. It didnt turn out exactly as we were expecting when it arrived, however, Ken worked with us to make sure we were satisfied with the purchase. He personally came to our house and inspected the furniture, loaded it up, took it back to their warehouse, and adjusted the areas of concern. When it came back, he ensured everything was to our liking and that all of our concerns were now rectified. We appreciate his willingness to stand behind his products and make sure his customers are happy. This level of service is uncommon these days and we are wholeheartedly appreciative. We love the bedroom set, and look forward to doing business with BWF in the future.

Ken (owner), really impressed us. He wanted us to double check our room size, did measurements on every sofa we looked at. Made sure when moving the furniture it was protected from dirt and grime. Took extra time to help us move it and find plastic wrap in their warehouse to further more protect the furniture to our drive to Dallas, OR. Gave us a deal on the piece for an early engagement present. WHAT?! How sweet! Definitely will be back. Amazing to have someone care from home and back, not just selling something in the store. His communication and wisdom was well appreciated. We had been sofa shopping ALL day. To have this experience at our last stop… so AWESOME! Highly recommended!!!!!

I had a great experience with Broadway Furniture. They had exactly what I was looking for - for only a FRACTION of what it was costing everywhere else. They were also great with keeping me updated on my order, and Courtney made sure I got my furniture delivered promptly. The delivery also went very quickly and smoothly. Ryan and Tim carried 2 nightstands and a dresser up to my second floor bedrooms with no complaints! They were super quick and polite.

I order a couch months prior to thanksgiving with hopes of it being delivered before the holiday. It is now the day after Christmas and they still have not called me with an update so I reached out to them, yet again for an update on the delivery. I have been patient knowing that coronavirus is a factor in the delay however they are so unprofessional do to each time I call and request an update nobody knows anything, they are not very pleasant on the phone, in the talk down to me like I’m a child. With the hopes of it being here prior to Christmas as said over the phone, it is now the day after and it is still not here. When I call for any updates they always have to send an email off, they never offered to call whoever it is they need to contact, and never get back to me with whatever the responses. I always call them back to get the update that they were supposed to reach out to me with. Now that it is after Christmas and I still have no couch in my home I will never be ordering furniture from this place again and this is my second couch, I thought I would be pleased the second time around. Poor customer service, poor communication-NO communication! This couch was supposed to be in my home prior to thanksgiving and it is now past Christmas. Unacceptable to keep me uniformed.

Fantastic, above-and-beyond customer service.I spent months searching for a couch for my new apartment--Craigslist, thrift stores, online, department stores, vintage shops, etc. When my mom and I finally took a trip out to Tigard to Broadway Furniture, we were pleasantly surprised at the array of styles, reasonable prices, and overall quality of the furniture. We ended up purchasing a beautiful couch that day from Jerry, who was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The couch came complete with complimentary throw pillows and free delivery. Delivery was fast, and the deliverymen were nice and very efficient.I had noticed a small blemish on the backside of the couch. After calling the showroom and speaking with Shawn, she assured me they would take care of it. Shawn kept great communication, and made sure I was in the loop the whole time. Broadway ended up replacing the couch with an entirely new one, which was beyond what I had expected.I couldnt be happier with my new couch and the service that Broadway Furniture provided. Every person that I came in contact with was great and genuinely happy to help. I will certainly be back next time I need new furniture!

We wanted to buy a new sectional and we went to Broadway furniture that was my first choice when we walked in we immediately seen what we wanted I want to recliner and my granddaughter wanted the sectional and we got both in one Ken was absolutely wonderful he adjusted the price made us a good deal and actually help deliver it himself. We are so happy with our sectional and the deal that we made, I am referring my girlfriend to his store in about two months she’s ready for a new couch with two recliners in it. I bought a bed today that Ive been looking at for over a year now. Saw it at the lowest price Ive seen so far online. I went in to the store to take a look at the floor model before I made my purchase and I was greeted by the sales staff who were wonderful and quick to help me. They place the order for me right there and gave me a break on the delivery and set up. 👍. It was very hassle-free Id highly recommend going in and talking to their staff before buying anything online.

My fiance and I will be in need of some furniture in the next few months and we decided to get a head start at looking at furniture. I visited many stores and Broadway was by far my favorite. The customer service at Broadway was wonderful. The owner was great about trying to get a feel for what we were looking for and not wasting our time showing us things that we would not be interested in. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My parents bought their furniture from Broadway when their location was in Portland about 30 years ago, that was one of the reasons we visited Broadway. Their furniture held up great over the years. The layout of the store was nice because they had their reclining furniture separated from their non-reclining furniture which made things easy to find. After visiting many stores I found Broadways prices to be very competitive. Since my fiance and I do not need our furniture for a few months the owner allowed us to place a deposit on the furniture that we did like and hold it for us until we get our house, guaranteeing that we would be able to get the furniture that we wanted. Broadway was very flexible in working with us and I look forward to returning again when I am in need of more furniture.

We had a great experience at Broadway Furniture working with Trudy. She spent a lot of time with us looking at multiple sofas and chairs and every combination in between. She listened to what we were looking for with a genuine interest and made wonderful suggestions. I feel like we got a good deal on quality furniture as well.

Visited Broadway today to look around for a lamp for my mother. She uses a walker to get around and first thing is that this furniture store is definitely not disability friendly. Its super difficult to get around in the showroom in general to look around and not a ton of clear paths. The second issue is that nobody greeted us when entering or even wondering around. And when it became apparent it was a little difficult to maneuver through the store the 2 associates not busy at the time, 1 associate was checking out a customer, didnt do anything to help. Nobody asked if they could help us find things, maybe help figure out a clearer path to get around, nothing. Needless to say my mother got frustrated trying to get through the tight maze of the store and the fact nobody offered to help or even acknowledge our presence so we left only seeing about 1/3rd of the entire store. The sign says save the store on the outside due to COVID but they offer no assistance or help inside at all.

We stopped into Broadway Furniture on a whim and were so impressed by the beautiful furniture, friendly staff, and generous sale prices! Ken welcomed us and answered our questions and also gave us space to explore the store quietly on our own. We found the perfect dining room table for our new house and couldnt be happier with the shopping experience. We will be back whenever we need to update our furniture...in fact we already have our eyes on a few sofas.

We came here from the Eastside and had a great experience. Ken was super nice and patient with us and gave us a great deal on an amazing couch. We went to a lot of bigger furniture stores and this place had a better selection, better prices, and better people than anywhere else we went.

Best place to purchase furniture in the area. Period. Everyone here is so friendly right when you enter the store. Ken was easy to work with. We were able to customize a bed frame swapping it with other bits and pieces from another frame in the catalog. Price was more then reasonable!

My wife and I recently bought a mattress from Ken. We wanted to go in and try them out prior to purchase as we have gone through for mattresses in 9 years. At our age Comfort is everything. He treated us like royalty. Ken was so accommodating to the point of delivering the same day we purchased. Being we downsize from a king size bed to a queen it was important to know we could also purchase our sheets and comforter along with the mattress. We have gone to him for 40 years and will continue to do so as long as we are able. This was the worst furniture-buying experience Ive ever had.The sales associate was nice enough, but when he asked for my email address he said sometimes people miss phone calls and well follow up by email, so if you think we havent called you- check your email!My order consisted of multiple parts, and I was told each would be delivered as it arrived. My first shipment came in a few weeks without issue, but when I hadnt heard anything for a month after that, I called in. Each time, Id speak with a receptionist who said Id need to speak with my sales associate, who was never available, and provided my name and number only to not receive a call back.I let it sit for a week, then called again, reaching the same receptionist. I mentioned how difficult it had been to get in touch with anyone, and I again left my name and number, and did receive a call back indicating part 2 (out of 3) of my shipment was in. He was going to check the shipment and would get back to me the next day about my second delivery.Two days later, I called and received the receptionist who again indicated my sales associate was out. The receptionist said she did hear my order was in the back and that I should be contacted soon to arrange delivery. I left my name and number.Another WEEK later, I call again and my sales associate actually answered the phone. I asked what was going on and he insisted he called me (no calls were missed), but that part 3 of my shipment was arriving within the next couple of days and I could just get one delivery with all my things the following week.The Saturday of that following week, I still hadnt heard anything. I call the store again and a different person answers and tells me my sales agent isnt in. I say I need to speak to a manager because Im about to dispute this charge with my bank because of all the issues, and the guy on the phone indicates he is a manager that has been trying to contact me. Ive had no missed calls.I explain what has been happening, the guy insists he tried calling the previous day, pulls up some info and reads off my number. MY SALES AGENT MESSED UP MY PHONE NUMBER ON THE ORIGINAL ORDER!Even though I gave my correct number EVERY SINGLE TIME I called, they apparently only looked at my name and referred to the original order instead of the number I provided. No one even attempted to send an email when all the calls were routed to a number without an answer or voicemail, in spite of what my sales agent said at our first meeting, and I went weeks without getting my items (saving them an extra delivery trip in the process).Once we realized the phone number issue, I was told they had an issue with their delivery truck and would only be able to deliver one item at a time, starting with my sofa. I moved furniture into my bedroom to clear space and make sure there was no excuse not to deliver the sofa, and they arrived with both my items: the soda and a bed unit. I was thrilled to get both and end this nightmare, but because they couldnt get straight what items were delivered I had moved another sofa and desk to my bedroom (right in the way) and had move these back by myself so they could access the area.Finally, there was absolutely zero done to rectify the situation. The manager said a quick sorry on the phone before scheduling the delivery, and that was it. The installers even chipped part of the bed set, but Id rather deal with it than have to work with this company again.Long story short: This was a miserable experience and I couldnt recommend anyone use Broadway Furniture in the future.

My wife and I were very satisfied with our experience at Broadway Furniture. We felt that we got a great deal on our couch and that we were not just there to buy a couch, instead we went there to experience comfort through an amazing sale process and with our new piece of furniture. You can tell that Ken and Denise truly love their business and enjoy helping people. VERY HAPPY ! I had been looking for a smaller than average size leather sofa for a small room . I found the perfect size at Broadway in a Navy Omni Leather. The quality exceeded my expectations and the projected delivery time was exact! Ken was patient and very professional with all my questions. We had a great experience here. We went in on a budget, but everyone was friendly, helpful, and understanding anyway. The prices were very reasonable and the furniture was all high quality. We ended up picking a couch from the discount section, which is behind the the main building, and you have to ask to see it. The couch we bought was $499, but their free delivery limit is $500, so they delivered, next day, for $1! Couldnt have been happier. A month later and the couch still looks and feels great. I purchased a dining table and chairs from Broadway Furniture recently. From the moment I walked into the store until the table was delivered, the customer service I received was outstanding! Not only were Ken and Denise helpful, but they were truly interested in selling me a table that I would be happy about. They even requested that I bring in photos of my dining room to ensure that the table I chose would fit with the color scheme and the rooms casual theme. I cant recall having such a positive furniture buying experience. In the end, I bought a high quality piece of furniture for a very reasonable price. I will definitely return for all of my future furniture purchases!

Stopped by last night. I was blown away by the customer service. I guess my expectations had been slowly eroded by stores that just sell furniture at the lowest price. After having a long day of furniture shopping and the worst experience at another furniture store. We deiced to stop into Broadway to see what they had. My wife and I walked up to the door at 5:50 PM, they closed at 6:00. I was ready to walk away but we went in and were greeted by Jerry. I apologized to Jerry right away for coming in so late. He smiled big and said no problem! We explained to Jerry that were were looking for a couch/love seat combo and he showed us exactly what we were looking for. When we told him that we were unsure if we wanted a love seat because of how it may fit in our living room and asked for his advise, he encouraged us not to buy the love seat and just get the couch for now and we could always get the love seat later.We bought the most beautiful couch and found that you CAN NOT put a price on the service that Jerry provided us. Stayed open late for us, didnt force more sales at us. It is obvious why Broadway Furniture has been in business for 80 years! Quality furniture in Tigard that’ll deliver all over Portland. The friendly staff was able to deliver my custom ordered couch to my place and set everything up. They even took away my old furniture for me, as I don’t have a big enough vehicle to haul it anywhere.The price was on point for a very nice piece of furniture.I’ll be back!

We recently purchased a high-top dining set and had been searching everywhere for a high quality and reasonably priced set. I have been an avid customer of Broadway Furniture since 2005, and have bought eight pieces or sets of furniture there. Why? Fantastic customer service, great prices for quality furniture, and they always have what I need. For instance, I have been looking for a new headboard--no other store I have visited had exactly what I wanted. Ken greeted me with a smile, explained that he didnt have what I wanted in the store but he would be very happy to order it, quickly showed me the item in a catalog, and efficiently ordered it. And the price was much, much lower than I had budgeted. You cant go wrong at Broadway--next time Ill go back without doing the preliminary, useless shopping at other stores.

I have been shopping with them for years, started when they were in the original location. I love Ken the owner because I feel like I can trust him. They really know their stuff and its quality Furniture, not out of the box decorative pieces of junk that will break down within a short amount of time

Me and my bf were greeted by a lovely Mrs. Linda and had an amazing experience buying furniture for our apartment when we moved into town. Our experience was so great and the quality of the products are so amazing that we came back to see Linda when we purchased a house and bought additional furniture. Not only was our experience with her very enjoyable but she also gave us amazing deals each time saving us tons of money for quality and extremely comfortable furniture. The only negative I can say is the lady that handles the transitions can be very rude and is definitely not a pleasure to be around. I dreaded each encounter with her. Really a star deserves to be taken away but I believe this family owned business is the best around.

The staff of Broadway Furniture was attentive and helpful without being pushy and over bearing. They were determined to give us the best deal in town, but even if I had to pay a little more it would have been worth it because of the great way we were treated while in the store. Fantastic Customer Service. Wife was set on an overpriced Pottery Barn dining table but she brought in pictures to Broadway furniture. Ken helped us find similar tables and in that process my wife found a completely different dining table. Picked out a great sofa sleeper too. I even compared the prices to online shops and they couldnt be beat. Friendly people and great store. They have more than just what is on the showroom. Next time I need furniture I am coming back here and only here.

Great experience shopping for a recliner yesterday with Denise at the Tigard store. I was fussy about what I wanted in a chair, and Denise, Shawn and Bob were especially accommodating about making sure I get the right lumbar support. This was my first trip to their new location and its where Ill be doing all my future furniture shopping. Purchased a new recliner and Im very happy with purchase.

My wife and I ended up ordering a couch from Broadway Furniture a couple weeks ago. We found them off of google as they were one of the only dealers in the area listed as being a dealer for a certain designer we were looking for (Robert Michael). We walked in and were greeted nicely and then left alone to peruse the store (unlike every other store we have gone to where they follow you around like a hawk and if dont know what you want within 5 minutes then you are a burden). We finished up and then went to ask for more details on our specific designer and from there he was extremely helpful going over all options, models, and colors. We placed our order and were on our way. Just an overall very good experience, especially in comparison to all the other places we had gone...

I came to this place looking for a couch. My fiance ended up falling in love with an Ashley sectional. I did some shopping around and found the same set at a discounted price. I informed Ken at Broadway that I was going to get the couch at a local competitor and he refused to lose me as a customer and beat the price I was offered. I was very pleased with this. I purchased the couch and they told me it would take from 6 to 8 weeks to deliver. It arrived early by about 2 weeks. When they came to set it up, I was about 5 minutes away from my house when the delivery guys arrived. I apologized for the inconvenience and they assured me that it was ok and waited for me to arrive, which is unheard of. The deliver guys were very polite and patient. I received the best service all around from Broadway furniture and would recommend them to anyone that wants more than just a quick buy and someone trying to make some money off of you.

They sold faulty furniture and refused to refund the money. furniture broke down twice. they repaired it first time and it broke again. this is on chair and i am now worried about sitting on these chairs. in spite of sending them pictures, they refused to refund the money. Though, they said take care of any issues when I went to them with complaint, they backed out saying, they are not responsible for the furniture and that I must deal with manufacturer. How will I know who made this piece of crap?I thought I was supporting local business but it was a mistake to shop at this place. It was a very stressful experience. I have lost money and was at risk of injury because of the furniture they sold me.I dealt with salesman named Jerry.

The staff at Broadway Furniture was soooo helpful! Im from out of state and I was calling to order something I had seen a few weeks before. I didnt have a name or picture of the item so I described it and Terry went out of her way to go around the shop, take pictures of things she thought I was talking about, and send them to me so I had confidence I was buying the correct item. I was super impressed with that level of service!

My husband and I went into the store on January 10th just browsing for a sofa/love seat combo with little intention of purchasing. Ken was very attentive, very informative and great to work with. We walked out of there with our dream sofa and got it for a great price. We will go back here again and again based on this experience.

It does not surprise me in the least to read ALL the other positive reviews about Broadway Furniture. My boyfriend and I recently bought our mattress from Ken. We came into the store explaining how we first went to Bed Mart and that I had my heart set on a mattress that was there, but my boyfriend wanted to continue to shop around for better prices.We told Ken exactly what we wanted and he showed us a better quality mattress for way less of a price.The mattress game is serious out there and Ken has proven to be someone that we can trust to give us high quality furniture at an affordable price.

Just had my new chair delivered and couldnt be more satisfied. I had seen their new store location, so when I needed a new piece of furniture I stopped there and found this. The service was excellent, the chair is quality, and the delivery time was very reasonable. Ill definitely shop there again. Its an old Portland store in a new location.

We recently moved to Beaverton OR, and needed to buy a couch. Initially went to JR Furniture and their stuff wasnt what we were looking for. Googled the next closest furniture store and Broadway Furniture popped up. Went in and was greeted by Ken. He is very knowledgeable and will work with you. I needed a tape measure, didnt know where mine was since we just moved, and he let me borrow his to measure our apartment. We will definitely come back to Ken at Broadway Furniture for future needs.

I went into Broadway not really knowing what type of couch I wanted, but the salesman was very friendly and helped me pick out the perfect one. I didnt even have to special order, they let me have the floor model. It was delivered the following week, Everyone was very friendly and I will definitely go back in the future.

We had bought a set of sofas from Kens Dad over twenty years ago, loved them!Recently one of the springs in the love seat broke, and the long sofa needed a center joint repair. Wasnt sure where wed get them fixed. Called Ken and he said We can take care of you. In 2 weeks they were repaired and back home!!! We bought a bed from here and the floor model got delivered instead of the in their warehouse. When I called, they were very apologetic and said they would deliver the new one after the weekend. Monday came around and the bed in the warehouse had been sold. So, to make things right, they ended up upgrading our bed at no extra charge. We are very happy with the new bed we now have.
