BUYER BEWARE!!!! WE will NEVER give them our business again. They intentionally tried stealing my wifes diamond. We had a sense of comfort with the LIFE TIME GUARANTEE that they claim for replacement with damage or lost. Well... took her ring in for inspection as one of the mounts was looking questionable and didnt want to lose it as it was a beautiful diamond not to mention the very much SENTIMENTAL value to it. So they send it out of course and we finally heard back saying it was not repairable and that theyd give us a fraction of the value to go towards a different ring. We luckily FINALLY got the ring back. LUCKILY!! We then took the ring to a real jeweler, Trenton Jewelers. They were able to FIX the ring at a very reasonable price (just over $100) and when we got it back, it looked better than it had in years of Kay doing stuff to it. They said that the other store (Kay) probably wanted our diamond, and that we were lucky to not give it to them especially at that price.

I wish there was an option for zero stars for this Taylor location. I went there with my fiance to look for wedding bands last month. A lady approached us and we told her that we were looking for wedding bands. She said Okay and stood by the bands. I said I would like to stay under $1,000 for mine. She said okay and did not show me anything, she made me ask how much each band was rather than suggest things that were in my budget. It was annoying and extremely awkward so I left.My fiance and I went to Great Lakes Crossing and stopped by the Kay Jewelers there and they were SO BEYOND HELPFUL! I was so pleased. I told them how pleasantly surprised I was with their service because of how horrible it was at Taylor. I found a wedding band and brought it with me to get sized at the Taylor location so I didnt have to make the drive to Great Lakes Crossing again.I go to Taylor again to get it sized and they tell me with zero percent empathy Oh this is a size 5 and you need a size 10 so we cant do that. A 10 is too big. Again.... ABSOLUTELY ZERO EMPATHY! NONE! She just looked at me with the blankest face of all time. She did offer to look at other bands though and I was open to the idea because obviously if they couldnt do it then I would still need another ring.So I looked, found one I liked. She told me I would have to pay an extra $300 for the other ring because its $300 more than the other one I picked. At this point I am so frustrated I start stress crying. I asked if they could please just bring it to the same price as the other ring because I obviously did not plan on spending hundreds more dollars for a ring when I already picked one out. This lady was just staring at me like I was annoying her with my emotions. She said No. Go back to Great Lakes Crossing and ask why they told you why you could get this ring sizedSO I DID! And they SIZED IT FOR ME! They were SHOCKED and appalled that the woman told me they couldnt size it even before the jeweler could look at it. The manager even came up to me and asked exactly what happened because she was so confused and shocked by my experience.I will never go to the Taylor location again. Even though it is 5 minutes from my house, I will be going to a different location for all of my warranty check ups on my ring. Please do not go here if you care about customer service.

They are rude here, never seem to have my information in the system even though Ive been coming here for 12 years. Short staffed, been waiting 45 minutes just to pick up my watch. Entire mall is packed and they have 2 employees. Seems I walk out unhappy every time I come in

Poor lighting. Spend on some white LED bulbs for those recessed fixtures to enhance visibility; felt like I was viewing things by candlelight. Walk across the hall to the other stores and do a comparison, you’ll see. Other aspects of the experience weren’t so great either but to be polite I won’t say which part.

I have been in there a lot. One of my favorite stores. The manager there is extremely rude , I thought maybe she was just having a bad day , but every time I’m in there , and I’m not the only one that notices it another lady seen it too ! She undermines her staff in front of customers , don’t welcome you when you walk in the store , just kinda of looks at you like omg what a inconvenience that you came in there.... the staff looks miserable when she is there , I usually call before I come in now and make sure she is not in , and wow it is more inviting when she isn’t there !!! It’s a much happier place ..There are a lot of jewelry stores around too .. and I’d rather shop at another when she is there ... I doubt anything will change , because you call corporate and they don’t even listen to you , so I just take it as that’s how they want their managers to act .... just horrible

The Southland Mall location is horrible. Customer Service is so bad Im embarrassed for them. How is it that a business in a shopping mall doesnt have cash for a return? They have thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and no cash for a $168 return. They wanted to give me a check from their corporate office. No thanks...we paid with cash and should be able to get cash back with our return. When I went back later with my husband they had cash with no problem. Awful customer service. My husband and I have spent several thousand dollars at Kays (Ann Arbor location) and I will never spend another dime at a Kays store no matter where its at.

I have always had a wonderful experience shopping at Kay jewelry store all the employees are very loyal respectful courteous and just a delight to buy jewelry from theres such an inspiration even when you dont want to really buy anyting they make you feel like you can have anything in the world that you want they treat you like a customer like you a part of the cageri family and thats a wonderful experience

They say you get what you pay for, not in this case. You will be paying top dollar for a cheap product. I have had nothing but problems with my engagement ring has been sent in for repair 7 times in 5 years. If u must go to Kays make sure to talk to Richard he will at least try to get you the best deal and be polite, un like the Kays at fair mall dearborn.

Borderline rude staff with attitude.Dont fall for best quality, best warranty; who gas time to go have their Jewerly to be checked every 6 months for warranty to be valid??? In 12 years I never used warranty, when I had the ring cleaned and checked, it was not registered in their system. So warranty avoid.

The manager Melissa is literally one of the rudest, most condescending, nasty people Ive ever had to deal with let alone give my money to! She had honestly the worst attitude on all 3 occasions that Ive went into the store to do business and unfortunately shes always been the one who takes over the transaction regardless if Ive asked to deal with another salesmen. When originally deciding on a band, I had both rings on my hands and was going to take a picture to send to my fiance and she immediately stopped me and told me it was against store policy to take any photos in the store. I tried to explain my situation and she clapped back If you take a picture Ill call security!I purchased a $4000 wedding band and she refused to use the VALID $50 (off of ANY $99 purchase) If you do business with Kay make sure not to go to this location and certainly dont give her your business!

Horrible experience. I was so very happy to get my engament ring back but they gave me the wrong one. The wedding band was the same but now I have to wait to get my engament ring back. I really hope they did not lose it.

I will never use the southland location again. I always use Novi but was in a hurry and needed something close. After 10 days I called to see if my ring was in since I was not getting the emails the man said the ring would be in Friday this was wed. I called Saturday afternoon a women told me my ring was in just needed to be scanned in and I would receive an email. Called back for an hour between 8-9 no one answered the phone. Called Sunday another man told me the ring was not even in yet but it would be in during the week. I also had a guarantee date of Saturday and obviously did not happen. This location is a joke and I will NEVER go back again.

Absolutely the worst customer service!!! Melissa the manager is very rude. Brought my diamond wedding set in to have a lost diamond replaced and was told I could not get a copy of the estimate for repair that was needed to file an insurance claim. Have purchased many items from this store, but will no longer spend my money when they treat their customers so poorly!!!

Horrible horrible store. DO NOT BUY JEWELRY HERE!!! My boyfriend at the time got me a promise ring a week later the diamond fell out. I took it in to get fixed and the one guy looked at me and said so what did you do to it? I said nothing. He chuckled and took the ring. It took them 3 months to fix it. Then the diamond fell out again. I refuse to go back and my now husband tore up his kays credit card. We will never go back. Whenever i here a person say they got a ring here i cringe bc i know what can happen. Very rude staff and they do lie about what they cover and dont. Please be careful if you shop here!
