You do the dishes is an awesome place. You go in and you can choose from many different pieces of ceramics to paint. Theres a fee for the painting in the studio however, that includes all of your paints your time in the studio painting and the firing in glaze that they do when youre finished. It took a few days after I painted my piece they called and told me that it was ready to pick up. Thats very fast and the price is here are much lower than some other places similar in the area. They also have a great coffee bar with delicious coffee many many different kinds of lattes or cappuccinos or coffees whatever you want its really good and its very relaxing environment I would definitely give it a shot if youre in the area and you want something to do very relaxing and worth it.

One of my favorite places to go for date night, as well as a girls night. The cafe has delicious drinks, and little snacks. Always such a large variety of pottery to choose from too! 10/10 would recommend!

This place is a fun and creative way to spend a few hours with friends, or alone. The staff is friendly and the pottery selection changes frequently so your choices will vary often enough to be a return customer. It is helpful though to have some ideas of what you want to create before you come in so you have more time to paint and spend less time planning. The cafe has pretty tasty treats, too!

So much fun! They have a great variety of animals, vases, and - of course - dishes for you to select from to paint. The staff are all VERY friendly and helpful. The café drinks are delicious, and served in mugs that look like theyve been painted right there in house. All in all, a great place to spend a few hours!

I took my Family for my sons birthday. One if the best things about You Do the Dishes is that my 15 year old, 17 year old and 3 year old all had fun and found something to enjoy. My wife and I love the cappuccino as well. They have ice cream and pastries that Ive yet to try but they look great.They have friendly staff who offers great advice for first timers. I must have went up to get paint a dozen times and each time they were polite and helpful.Something I noticed that really seemed cool was that there were people there by them selves. They sipped coffee, and likely sat there for hours working on a mug or decorative peice.

This is the best place for pottery painting in the area, bar none. We have tried several others and You Do The Dishes has the whole stay for a while and paint cool pottery vibe down. The selection of pottery pieces to paint is the best that we have seen in the area; the music is great and so are there events! My wife and I totally recommend everyone going here! We love it 😊

The place is always clean and they have so many different pottery pieces to choose from. Best part is that your piece is using ready to be picked up within 2-3 days! Also it’s a local business :)

Came here and painted some pottery while drinking their coffee. It was a very fun experience. Both staff members were helpful and knowledgeable. They were always checking to see if we needed refills on paint, coffee, or cleaning water. They had tons of pottery to choose from and paints to use. The finished product turned out great!

This is a cool idea. They have many ceramic models to choose from and then you can paint them and then they will fire them. It is a great idea to go with a friend and enjoy a day together. It could also be a great date night. You can also bring your own food. The coffee bar is very nice and has good coffee. Very nice staff.

Very cute place that you can spend all day with your friends there. However, my friends and I didnt know the items need to wait for 2-3 days after we painted. Since my friends and I are living outside of Tampa. Although the store helps shipping (you have to pay by yourself), it would be much helpful if they told us at the beginning.

This is the best pottery shop in the area its studio fee is super reasonable and the bisque piece prices are so affordable. Plus the staff are amazing people who are always willing to help you out. I love coming over here to make birthday and Christmas gifts. I will always and forever be coming here to do all my artsy pottery!

We reserved a table for 10 people. We had adults and kids in our group and every single one of us had so much fun and enjoy picking the dishes, picking the paints color and painting.They were very helpful with everything, they even set a separate table for our finger foods, drinks and wines. We are so looking forward to pick up the final products.If you are planning a low key and relaxing afternoon for a group of friends and family, this place have it all.Highly recommended!

This place is such an interesting destination, and the customer experience is amazing. The coffee and ice cream is declicious, but the main feature is the ceramics that you can choose and paint by hand. Expect to be there for awhile. Also, you have to comw back to pick up your items a few days later, but in the end you come out with some amazing ceramics.

This place is great. We go at least once a year to do ornaments and other Christmas decorations with our kids to make special family memories. We have five kids from 4 to 15 and they have always been super helpful with us all. We always look forward to going in for a fun pottery painting time!

Ahh, I went for the first time yesterday and this has officially become one of my favorite to go spots . It was a very unique and memorable experience . The place is super cute and decorative , the staff is helpful and laid back , and most importantly the coffee is sooooo good, I couldn’t stop obsessing over it . I can’t wait to come back and pick up my pottery ! I have many ideas for future birthday gifts and plan on bringing everyone I know .Definitely recommend this place & it’s worth the price you pay.

This lovely establishment has put up with me and my awkardness at least twice a moth for about a year now, and for that they deserve 10 stars. they have a great setup a splendid selection of paints and pieces. they are super duper helpful for new painters, and i can count on one hand the number of times ive has a bad experience. they do enable my terible coffee cup collecting habit though, because nine times out of ten its a coffee cup im painting. the tea from their coffee bar is great, and the ice cream is very tasty. but by far the biggest testament to this places quality is the tremendous size and quantity of the pothos plants scattered about. if i wasnt a coward i would probably ask them for a cutting, but alas, i am afraid of the cool college kids that work there. the proprietor lady is incredibly inviting, and i would reccomend this establishment to anyone who wants to relax.

This is a fantastic paint your own pottery venue. It has hundreds of options to choose from and samples of creative ideas I would never have thought of! Theres a wonderful coffee bar with a few light bites and ice cream. In the front there are a few couches and chairs so you feel like youre at home. Great vibe and friendly, pleasant staff. Cant wait to come back! I saw a birthday party going on and the kids were having a blast!

Very relaxing to sit there and paint. They have a nice selection of things to paint. Great assortment of colors, stamps, stencils, and equipment to do your art work on your project. Staff is always pleasant. Very reasonably priced compared to other ceramic studios. Hours vary but work well with my schedule.

You Do the Dishes in my opinion, is the best place in Tampa to paint ceramics. They have the perfect combination of atmosphere, extensive inventory of pieces to choose from and excellent service. The place is charming, well decorated and lighted thus providing a great ambiance to get your creativity going. The only negative is that you need to plan on extra time to select and decide as they have so many pieces to choose from!

Id change the name tho... my kids didnt want to do the dishes, and it put me off at first too because doing the dishes doesnt sound appealing. Its crafts and coffee, so a name more aligned with that concept would be better. Some might read the name, and dismiss it before understanding what it is.

Love how friendly the staff Is! And the overall look and feel of the place is go enjoyable, my sister and I adored the eclectic, artsy vibe! And the selection of pieces to paint seems almost endless! There are SO many options, and their finished pieces set up next to them give you some great inspiration! Coffee is delicious too, and love that the serve their cafe items on their painted pieces! Also fantastic selection of paints available! And our pieces were fired, glazed, and ready for pick up less than a week later! We will definitely be back!

Great place. We had a birthday party here and everyone was great! We have been here several other times all the staff is very nice and helpful. Prices are fair and the coffee and ice cream are a nice extra treat.

Took my wife here, it was a nice place and it was busy. A little hot in the place but not bad. Overall very nice employees,decent prices. Was a little confusing though since we where first timers. Be aware though it does take a while to paint your item so prepare at least 2-3hours for this event.

This place is so nice! Ive come here a couple of times now, with both friends and family, and weve always had a great time. A lovely afternoon with family painting what will be cherished items. It is a joy-filled and loving atmosphere, with helpful staff and a wide range of possible projects. Good for children to adults. I am working on a collection of mugs, one for each family member, with their favorite things and name on their mug.

I have been going to You Do The Dishes since I was about 7 or even younger. The staff know me on a first name basis and when Cindy and Herb greet me at the door with a gigantic smile it easily makes my day. The pottery selection is amazing!! When you finish your pottery they call you back in 3-4 days saying its done. BEST POTTERY PLACE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!! They are also a cafe. They have a wide selection of coffees, baked goods, sodas from around the world, milkshakes, and ice cream. This is my SECOND HOME!!!!

Really terrible customer service. Have been trying to come here for over a week. My brother is from out of town and wanted to do this for his birthday so I called ahead and asked about it...they said just come in, no reservations. I get there and the hours are different then what she said over the phone, they were closed. I come back the next day and the spots are full, no waitlist (even thought the sign outside the front door says there’s a waitlist). Reservation only. I try to get a reservation and they’re full for the day. No college night or college discounts either because they close early, never moved that time up. All around bad customer service during this time. I understand COVID is hard but this is not the first day y’all have been open, please get your ducks in a row because I painted SO many pieces here and I’d hate to never want to come back.

This is my favorite place to paint pottery. I wish the hobby was a little cheaper, but this place has average pricing. I picked this one as my favorite because they have a great selection of ceramics, its nice and clean inside and they have a fantastic coffee bar. I always get a coffee served in a cute painted mug While I paint. They are very conservative on the amount of glaze given, so you do have to specify if one color is going to be the main- that you want a lot of it. Otherwise, youll have to keep going back. They pour glazes for you and they have lots of artistic tools, brushes and sponges to chose from. Just a great place!

Excellent place to take the girlfriend or kids for a fun night out. We had a great time and it was very relaxing. They offer a very good selection of teas and coffee and some snacks. I think out of all of the pottery painting places this is a one-of-a-kind deal.

I have been bringing my son here as long as its been open...maybe close to ten years? The environment is chill, unplugged, and truly fosters creativity. The owner and her staff are focused on making your time there fun and relaxing. I have so many nice memories here, and a dozen handmade, cherished dishes (that I use!) to remember them by.

We have a great time each time we go. We love coming here! Our family of 4 enjoys the cafe. They have a large selection of ceramics to choose from and at a better price than local competitors. Its very busy here.

I’ve been here a couple of times and every time I have a great experience. The place feels nice and homey, they have a lot of different products to paint, and the staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. They helped my little ones paint and the owner is very talkative and kind. He even gave my daughter a T-shirt for her birthday. Of all the pottery places I’ve been to, this one is by far my favorite!

Great if youre looking to do something different. You come in pick your item, pick your paints, and go to town. Once your done they take it and bake it and call you when its ready to be picked up. They have a great selection of dishes, ornaments, etc. to paint.

Great place to go show your creative side! The whole place has a helpful, artistic, and chill atmosphere. A huge variety of unfinished clay art pieces line the walls. You pick the piece (prices marked on bottom) and you pick the colors. Theres a yummy little coffee bar as well. Great place for a date.
