This was our go-to place to occasionally pick up coffee & pastries during the pandemic on weekday mornings when Hyde Park Village isnt busy. Theres seating inside, and also tons of outdoor seating nearby, including next to a gorgeous fountain, to enjoy the food safely. Theres also a beautiful park within walking distance with picnic tables and benches.

You need a treat from here. They have some of the tastiest Italian cookies and treats. Everything is fresh and the people are nice. Tucked in at Hyde Park Village, they have a few tables inside and outside for you to sit and enjoy. They even have a few gluten free cookies.

I really wanted this to be good but oooof. Honestly the worst cookie I think I’ve ever had- the almond extract in was way too strong and it was the texture of a generic brand dog biscuit. All of the food in the display case looked dry and old. I had high hopes that I would get a great dessert but I’ve literally had better desserts at Chinese strip mall buffets. It’s false advertising to call this a sweet shop.

Lovely place and very friendly staff. All the sweet goodies are on display, which can be very distracting. Of course, if you want cheesecake for breakfast, go for it. Cold brew was delicious. Great stop for coffee, breakfast or a snack!

I have been going here for past 2 years, few times a week, hands down they have the best espresso in town and friendly staff

I ordered an apple tart. The apple tart was not overly sweet which is a good thing. The size of the tart was a little small to me for the price. It tasted fresh and the crust was okay.The store was very clean and the people serving were very nice.Update - Went in again and ordered a Lobster Tail. The Lobster Tail was nice and flaky and the cream was nice.

Went out for a late night treat, was hungry per usual, and happened upon this little bakery tucked out of sight in Hyde Park Village.Got the Funfetti and Carrot Cake shots, as well as the cream filled Lobster Tail pastry. The icing with the funfetti cake was delicious, the cake itself light and fluffy. The carrot cake was a little more dense with a thick cream cheese frosting. Both were delicious, and I almost wish they sold bigger containers instead of the little shots.The cream in the Lobster Tail pretty much blew my mind, it was the best of the three in my opinion. I wouldve been happy just eating a bowl full of that yummy filling, so so good 🤤.The service was on point, the women working there courteous and patiently waiting for my indecisive butt to choose something 😁.Highly recommend!

Super cute bakery in Hyde Park. Grabbed an iced coffee to go and took it home- absolutely delicious. Sweet enough but not overwhelming. Preferred taste over other shops nearby that are more bitter. Pastry selection was mouth watering and it all looked fresh. Ill be returning for sure!Also note: they have cake cups that are priced perfectly for kids, and its a less messy option than sprinkles across the street.

The two stars are the average between a 4 star review of the Gelato shake I had a few weeks ago and the 0 zero star from what I ordered and had delivered the other day. Plain and blueberry cheesecake, red velvet cake and rainbow cookies. Unfortunately as you can see from the photo this was what 4 people leftover. 1 bite a piece and nothing was good. They all tasted artificial and like they had been frozen for a while and taken out to thaw. So unfortunate because the bakery is so cute and the staff is nice but all the desserts we ordered were one bad after the next.

Don’t come here if you like sweets or coffee . . . You’ll be in trouble!! We tried an assortment of items and all were amazing but their cinnamon roll took the trophy! The best part for us out of towners though was that although they had them on themselves, no employees harassed us about masks. Can’t say the same for the other places we refused business around here.

Truly an authentic Italian bakery. I just love their old school leaf cookies. My husband loved the “lobster tail” cannoli treat. Very nice staff. I loved it and will be back soon!

We got coffee wasnt really a fan(not sure if it was brew, syrups, or oatmilk all factors, but guessing syrups), almost stuck my cake shots in it. The little cake shots is where it is at!!! If you have sweet tooth like me. Delicious, love getting them to go because they put them in tiny expresso cups.

The sweets were certainly sweet. My favorite, the mini canolli and the little chocolate macaroons, which I cant remember the exact name of.

I had a vegetarian breakfast sandwich. The croissant was so flaky and perfect with egg, tomato and gouda cheese. My husband had a chocolate muffin and a decaf Americano. He normally is not happy with decaf Americano or pour overs but he thought this decaf was good. My hot tea was weak so I think the water wasnt hot enough, deduct .5 star for that. Im already craving that croissant sandwich so definitely want to go back.

Was craving apple pie like crazy, and all of the other places within walking distance for me to have time to get to during my lunch break either didnt sell it, or were out. Sorrento doesnt either, however they do offer apple turnovers. I figured id try since something would be better than nothing. When I asked if it could be heated up, the young man also offered to add extra apple filling on the side. This made a world of difference. Having shared with him how much id been craving one and had no luck finding any so far, this little bit made a huge difference. There isnt much filling in the turnover, but adding the extra apple filling on top provided just the kick i needed to hit the spot for my tastebuds. 5 stars for great customer service.Going above and beyond to please a cutomer 😊🍎🥧

Original Italian coffee, pastries and food at the heart of Hyde Park Village. We visited Sorrento and the Italian Amalfi Coast a year ago and this place is very close!

Did not receive correct items for my order; missing items and just straight up not what I ordered. When I called they told me they couldn’t help in anyway. I work in the food industry too and that is just not how you handle a issue or resolution. Extremely dissatisfied. Won’t be trying ever again.

A hidden gem in hyde park. They have the best selection of various sweets. Feels like a little slice of Italy in the middle of south tampa. A great place to sit down and relax with the beauty of Hyde Park.

Watch out for doggy water bowl and spilt water. Saw a woman slip and fall a few months ago, today I wiped out. Not sure why they keep it right where the door opens. Huge liability issue. Hope they take notice.

I cant understand all the reviews saying the desserts taste frozen or stale! Ive never actually been to this shop but Ive been ordering pretty regularly with Uber eats and Ive never had a bad food item delivered. Their breakfast sandwiches are SO GOOD! The Gouda Roma is so simple and delicious, definitely my go to. Really enjoyed the almond biscotti, rainbow cookies, and tiramisu too, but everything else Ive gotten was also delicious. I cant wait to take my parents here when they visit from out of state :)

Seriously THE best coffee spot in Tampa. The pastries and the warmed items do not disappoint either. The employees are all so incredibly kind and most definitely care about the products they sell, as they always want to ensure your items are prepared to your liking. I cannot recommend this place enough. I am so happy that they came to Hyde Park Village!!!

Amazing bake shop! I got the spinach and ricotta pastry and a cinnamon roll - both were incredible. My only complaint is I wish they opened just slightly earlier than 9 on weekdays so I could grab some breakfast on my way to work.

Ordered through Uber eats, I will never order again. If I wanted hospital tasting desserts this is where I would go. So bland and flavorless. Terrible desserts, I had the funfetti, chocolate cake, chocolate chip and sprinkle cookies, and Nutella donut. TERRIBLE!!!! Please don’t go here for desserts in Tampa they do not know how to bake. Chocolate pie s where it’s at! Even Datz is better than them and I don’t hold Datz to high standards.

Sorrento Sweets has the best staff in Tampa! Dayani + staff are on a first name basis with most of their customers, and even know what most of them want to eat as they are walking in. The sweets and coffee they have are to die for! if you are in HP i highly suggest taking a stroll into their shop.

I go here often since I’m always in the village. The service is always wonderful since you’re always greeted even if the worker is helping someone else. They always have a range of different sweets and I’ve never had something I didn’t like. They definitely have the best coffee in the village, whether you get it hot or iced!

This is a sweet place. Lots of yummy desserts. The tiramisu is awesome! The coffee is good too.

This used to be one of our favorite places. We will not be venturing in for treats anytime soon if ever - no staff is wearing masks right out of Quarantine. Small store, food exposed and no masks? Very unsafe and very disrepsectful.

Though I had originally complained of a poor quality of Lobster tail i have decided to revisit my review on the basis of terrific quality of service. My original complaint was the result of an off night within an hour of closing.Cannoli was delicious and I would definitely recommend it.

I am from New York therefor I am picky when it comes to coffee and service...Well let me tell you I received excellent service from 2 lovely young girls working that night and very good espresso coffees... First staf is amazing. Very personal and just willing to do anything for you to enjoy. The food was very good. The presentation setup has a very European look, very nice. The $ was average like any other Bakery. The only thing negative was the cannoli was so sweet and dont like chocolate chips in filling. But the other stuff was so good. Defently going back.
