Was really excited when I saw the shave ice picture on the menu. This place does NOT have Taiwanese style legit shave ice like the menu photo shows. What they have is crushed ice with flavor syrup. Not terrible, just not what I was hoping for.

Love this Bambu, so many options and flavors available, love how there are Japanese and Filipino desserts also available! Definitely a highlight and worthy of a visit for anyone who will be briefly in the area.

Absolutely the worst shaved ice I’ve ever had in my life. It was barely ice and tasted like ice cream that was held at too cold of a temperature. The flavor consisted of a little bit of green tea but mostly a bad bitter aftertaste.I was very disappointed.

I don’t know her name but she was so sweet! She showed us the egg pudding since we had never been there before so we could decide if we wanted it. So happy to finally go

Cute dessert shop that I was just introduced to. The manager is so friendly and answered all of my allergy questions. LOVED their traditional iced Vietnamese coffee. I will return!

We ordered this delicious treat to wrap up our Saturday and take the edge off the summer heat. I got the Thai milk tea with coffee jellies (which was amazing) but my husband got the magonada with mango and lychee and hated it. I dont like mango, so I didnt try it, but he said it didnt taste tropical. It cutoff be a personal preference; but I thought Id share just in case your on the fence about what to order. :)

Ive loved Bambu for a long time, and I came here to hang out a bit. I got my usual order, the bambu combo (#2 che): red, white, and mung bean, taro, boba, pandan jelly, combo jelly, and coconut milk. I got it without the combo jellies, and I forgot to get no sugar. The beans were great and I love pandan jelly. The coconut milk was slightly sweet, but it paired well. I love the combo, would highly recommend! The only downside is that its a bit pricey at $6+ post-tax, but its delicious! I enjoyed the dessert inside, where the seats are comfortable and the wifi is good, and theres also outlets here and there for charging my laptop although it was a bit cold. Good place to get a drink and hang out!

It was my third time visiting this place. The first two times it was great. So I drove many miles to come here mainly just for the pandan waffle. At the counter I noticed a new face - who must have been a newly hired in training. The owner looking lady looked very distressed. So maybe the trainee was not doing her best. And sure enough, the waffle came out rather bad - it was overcooked, batter wasn’t enough or what, there were many “holes” in the waffle. As opposed to how it tasted last time - chewy but airy like spongy cake - this time it was dry, hard, and lacking the “juice”. It was so disappointing. I am not blaming the newly hired by any mean. Everyone has their first moment of everything. But I am just very disappointed that the waffle was served by the owner who must have known that this was not done correctly. I wish that she has asked for our understanding and made another one. Hopefully this won’t happen again and will make my trip worth the long drive.

The fruit smoothie i had was amazing! I had strawberry banana, with the tapioca balls. The drink was perfectly blended and the tapioca was so perfectly squishy in my mouth! Clean!!! Very inviting! Super nice staff

Took my kids here and they loved it. One got a boba smoothie (non dairy) and the other the black sesame ice cream. I had the mango tea. It was amazing😍 We will definitely go back again.

Ok, so I’m not a Bubble Tea expert... but I love trying new things! My wife loves this stuff and we ended up here for a evening snack! Sooo good. I got a Strawberry milk tea with boba... don’t even know what that means but it’s so tasty! My wife got peach fruit tea and my sisters got mango fruit tea and passion fruit milk tea! They were all very good!The staff is very knowledgeable. She was telling us literally everything she could about their products! They use fresh fruit and real tea. She also said they don’t use artificial sweeteners...They have some other tasty snacks to include gluten free waffles and macarons. The environment is very clean and bright as well! Great place for kids with games and all sorts of distractions!Check this place out.

Drinks are so super bomb. Kinda spendy but worth it. We Love the orange mango nada drink, Sometimes they forget to put the chili in, but they are really cool about re-making it. She really loves the coffe.

I love everything about this place. They have a delicious, varied menu that is constantly growing. The staff is super friendly and recognize most of their regulars and are always willing to help and give recommendations if youre not familiar with the menu items. Welcoming and fun atmosphere. I stopped by for the first time and i managed to come in before it got busy. The waffles are fantastic and full of flavor. I really loved the pandan waffle with ube ice cream. I also ordered a taro waffle with black sesame ice cream. Very unique flavors that were absolutely delicious.I found my new favorite dessert spot conviniently located accross the street from my favorite pho spot.

Great classic offerings of cold drinks and sugary snacks. I always hit up the taro drink or the classic milk teas. Its also one of the first to offer milk foam/cheese foam/sea salt foam in the city. They have very tasty stuff; give them a shot.

Its okay. I prefer my fruit tea with the option of matcha or other teas. The real fruit added was hard and slightly bitter. Hard like the rind of a melon but think it was a bitter mango.Basil seeds was new to me so interesting. I usually get my drinks less sweet. This drink was really sweet so probably will ask for less sweet next time if they have that option. Not my favorite but another option to add to my drink places. Would like to try some of their other drinks and desserts.

Wildly disappointing Taro smoothie. :/ it has almost no flavor compared to the 5 or 6 others Ive had in the area. The boba is good, the texture is good. Im sure the other drinks are better, but dang they are expensive. Almost $9 for a cup of icecream and jelly.

I absolutely love this place. It’s definitely one of my favorites in the Lincoln District. And the best smoothie/boba tea shop in all of Tacoma. If you haven’t been yet, trust me... it’s even worth the drive from Seattle.

The smoothies are so smooth and flavorful! The best Ive had ever! So fresh and not to sweet. You can adjust the sweetness of your smoothie as well. They even have samples of the different jellies you can add to your drink. Also last but not least the halo halo, waffles, and macarons are amazing (so Ive heard).

I love the customer service here and while you wait and eat/drink you can just hangout and play games like board/card games or just chirp chat. I totally recommend the Halo halo...the #10 and ask to add some sweetened condensed milk and top with one ice cream so good! Oh and their macaroons are a must try! My favs are taro...captain crunch....fruity pebbles and salted caramel!

I had a great experience with the customer service here! I have celiac and need to be extremely careful about gluten and cross-contamination. I asked them so many questions about their ingredients and drinks and they were able to tell me what was safe and what wasnt. If they didnt know about an ingredient, they looked it up! I have never dealt with a restaurant that treated my questions and concerns with such respect! I really love this place!

The bubble tea was so refreshing and amazing. I felt like I was eating a cup of frozen blueberries with tapioca. Best bubble tea Ive ever tasted! Macarons were fresh, light and flavorful. I tried the capt crunch and fruity pebbles!! The mochi cakes....i need to return to buy more of those! Ordered the Nutella version. First time customer, definitely not the last time I will be there!

Went here for a break from being productive on a Saturday afternoon, and I got the peach tea with real fruit bits. It was a little on the sweet side, but delicious. The place smaller I like mango cake or waffles with fresh fruit, v Im not certain, but it was heavenly. Saw people eating waffles with ice cream and it made me sad of just eaten lunch. Ill be going back for waffles at some point.

I’ve gone to quite a few Bambu locations from Seattle to San Diego and this one is by far my favorite!!! The only downside is that they’re closed on Mondays!! The drinks are always delicious and the waffles are so good! My current favorite, which I happened to order by accident, is the Sea Salt Oolong tea with the egg pudding. OMG. Addicting!!! The passion in love smoothie is also one of my favorites. Can’t go wrong with any of their drinks really.

I dont do desserts anymore but when I did trust me when I say...the strawberry yogurt is on point!! Hands down the best Ive ever had and Im not necessarily a yogurt lover but try it here and youll love it. Ive only tried strawberry but all the flavors look yummy.

The place is cute. A great modern cafe if you wanna impress your date. Sadly i went there alone for the first time. One of the best Strawberry and banana smoothie in Tacoma. Customer service could be more inviting or attentive but overall , cute young employee in a cute cafe.

Tried this place for the first time today. The wait was a little long, however, there were 5 people in front of me. The halo halo seemed interesting so I decided to try it. Unfortunately, when I got it there was already a good layer of liquid on the top from melting and the ube scoop was half-hearted. This is the first time I tried ube and LOVED IT. Sorry to say that was the only thing I loved about the dessert. There were more toppings than shaved ice, more like rock ice. It ruined the texture and some of the toppings didnt taste that great to me. Im from Hawaii and I have had better. Just disappointed. But check out the ube ice cream!

Visited this place three times in the last few weeks. Its become my go-to place for bubble team and boba. The good: Generous servings, their large drink is a full 24 ounces and full! No overly frothed up drinks that are 50% air for you at Bambu. Service is friendly when you are in line to buy- otherwise, they are in the back. Why 4 stars, you ask? The wait. Holy coconuts Batman, 15 minutes for one slush - it only had two ingredients! Because there is only one person in the back, as soon there are multiple customers, be ready for a long wait. I will be returning but Ill probably bring a book just in case.

Love this place as it has such a wide variety of desserts and tea/coffee to choose from. The place feels very comfortable and theres even games to play while you wait.

I love this place because the owner is simply wonderful, she remembers her customers and she talks to them about very interesting stuff while they wait. And of course the food and drinks are fantastic, i recommend the honey dew with lychee jelly. So many choices! And each are so good, with waiting time that seems non-existent because of the owners intriguing chatting and the way the place is set up (games, things to read, pictures, even a slideshow). Definitely worth every penny here.

This was the most fun I have had in a coffee/deserts shop. The owner was super chill and a great business women. She was a riot, great banter.

Bambu is great for Boba and fresh drinks with real fruit. I personally like the Hong Kong teas or anything Boba with no ice. Theres also some snacks to enjoy as you wait for your drink.

Love it more today. Its been a feel months since Ive been to one. Today went to one in Tacoma, Washington. the menu is very quite extensive. Che, vietnamese dessert with fruit, snow ice (hard to find) fruit smoothies, pandan waffles, mocha ice cream, macaroons. I was very excited. I got the #6 fruit addict, in laws got the #10. Both were on point and carved my craving. I do not have this in Memphis. Super excited to have this here.

So much fun, bubble tea and lots more. I enjoy the friendly staff explaining the diverse exotic choices. They have a reward program through 5 stars. I would recommend trying some of the macaroons too , they are delicious.

Go at least once a week. My husband gets Bambu Favorite and Mango Yogurt drink is my new favorite. I LOVE the fact that they do points for customers, we get free upgrade on our drinks almost every time!

Prices were very reasonable, you can have 2 free add ons onto your drink and for extra its .50 cents. The interior is very modern and aesthetic though it is pretty small and gets packed quickly.
