Ive been in independent neighborhood groceries that are nicer than big valley food, but Ive also been in neighborhood Independent grocers that were way worse. They arent the tidiest of grocery stores, but their selection is not too bad. I would like to see a better selection of frozen vegetables. Also their selection of canned vegetables has been reduced a bit over the past. Ive purchased from their butcher on a number of occasions, and have been reasonably satisfied with the cuts of meat. Their cost is pretty reasonable and they are very handy to where I live.

Terrible, filthy store with worse customer service. I purchased a Gatorade that ended up being rotten with chunks of rot floating in the drink. When I brought the item back to the store they proceeded to argue with me about the condition of the drink, as well as tell me to call the company with my issue.Absolutely disgusting attitude over something that was clearly their fault (selling rotten products)Definitely will not be returning to this putrid hole in the wall.

Not my favorite place to get groceries but I stopped by recently to buy one item I needed and didnt want to wait in line to pay for it. The store is not terribly inviting. Ive noticed that some of the items displayed on the shelves have expired. It isnt very clean and the lighting isnt great. Not what I typically look for in a grocery store but I had no problem getting in and out.

Customer service was great and the people were very helpful. I went in to buy red bell pepper at $.50 each and they only had two in the box and I asked of they hadmore and the growcer brought out a whole box and let me select any I wantedI also got 6 ears o white sweet corn, at$.33, and it was clean, cold, and trimmed with no silks. They are a small store but still treat you very well.Thanks.

Love this place. Great meat dept. If you dont see what you want at the meat counter, just ask, they will have it in back, in the freezer.Fyi... check exp dates, sometimes they miss expired product.

Good meat selection but as far as anything else theyre kind of pricey but you can find a deal there on some stuff the people there seem bipolar because one trip theyre really nice wonderful people the next trip they can be the exact opposite so I gave three stars because sometimes its a good place to go to especially since its right there blocks from my house but the price is almost the same as Safeway its just one exit down

Check expiration date on items. Need air conditioning. Produce is horrible. Only go for something simple like salt!!!!

I have revised my previous review on Big Valley Food. There has been some mishaps about stolen merchindise. Ive ran into several fellow shoppers as well as experianced first hand wrongful acusations of thieft. Basically the little guy that works at the cash register will ask to search your bags and claim that stuff they dont even carry in there store was stolen and he will yell at u in his native toungh. He got me for a 7 pack of bic lighters from taarget. I didnt have time so i just let him keep them. So Beware watch out for the little guy
