Anytime Ive come here the customer service is awful. The first time, It felt like they were shewing me out the door because I wanted to look at rings and the price range I wanted, telling me to bring my fiance in if hes going to be the one paying for it when all I wanted was to look to see if I even wanted to purchase rings from them. Then the second time it was busy and Im waiting patiently. I was next to be waited on and the sales lady took the person that came in after me! After knowing that I had been standing there already for about 20 minutes. Then realizing she made a mistake and said oh Ill be right with you. So I just left because they are awful at serving customers.

Will never do business with Kay Jewlers. My brothers wife died in a tragic car accident 6 days after getting her wedding ring, and Kay would not do anything to help my brother, would not take ring back. When he called they hung up on him, when he went to store they lied to him saying corporate manager would contact him. They did nothing. No return call, no email, no contact. We have a lawyer now. I would give negative star if that was possible. Absolutely terrible, my brother should be grieving not dealing with poor customer service.

Came here today to get my 1 year old daughters ears pierced. Mary and the rest of the staff were AWESOME! She thoroughly explained the whole procedure and after care instructions, and was very patient with my daughter throughout. She definitely made me also feel at ease, since I was also a little nervous in the beginning lol. The process was quick and her piercings came out great! I would recommend! Everyone was very nice.

My friend went in here trying to figure out what she wanted as far as engagement rings go. The person helping us snatched the ring away my friend liked, when I even mentioned taking a picture of something she liked. Apparently you can’t take pictures-per the associate. Don’t go here.30 mins later my friend walked away with a new engagement from Tony’s. Tony’s was great!!Please reach out Kay, I’ll give you all of the information on the sales associate that had you lose a purchase.

I’ve waited to write this review for a year now. My husband got my engagement ring from this location as well as our wedding bands. Every time we went in we dealt with Mary and her attitude was worse each time. She didn’t even listen to what we wanted only wanted to upsell... we spent over 15,000 at the store you’d think we’d at least be treated with decency! I went back to have my ring inspected about a week ago and she was absolutely terrible. I’m shocked they still keep her employed. Terrible customer service didn’t even say a word during the ring inspection. you’d think after dealing with someone for over a year that she would be welcoming.. completely opposite! Such a shame I wish we would of purchased our rings elsewhere... Kay does not deserve our money and time!

Absolutely horrible experience. The customer service representatives were condescending and judgmental. They made it as though I could not afford to buy anything and would not show me what I was asking for even though I asked again and again. Thank god for my family jeweler that I won’t ever have to step into Kay’s ever again.

The worst customer service. I will not purchase anything else from them. I went into the store for a repair on jewelry and got the run around. I had to go back and forth to the store in order to get my jewelry that was damaged out. The manager Mary and the other sell reps dont know what they are doing. Everyone need to be retrained.

In February my fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Kay, about a month later my opal stone fell out.(Please keep in mind this was an expensive ring, the stone falling out a month later should have never happened.) Due to the stores being closed, I knew there was nothing they would be able to do. I scheduled an online appointment to see a jeweler virtually and have them call me back, they never called. So the next day I contact live advice support who steered me in the direction that once the stores reopen they would be able to help me. I called the store today, there’s no date in sight as to when I can get my ring repaired. This is ridiculous! I waited on hold with customer care for an hour because I was told they could exchange it since it was JUST purchased in February- just to find out since it was a ‘custom’ order they won’t be able to do that. I don’t recommend shopping here. Every customer service representative I’ve spoken to has relayed different information to me and no one was able to solve my problem or even give me a date as to when I can get my ring fixed.

I like Kay Jeweler but not this location, customer service is horrible. Their very prejudice against black people and they always try to rush people into sales, learned that from dealing with them personally and from watching them try to force other customers. I was disappointed that the partridge creek location was closed due to covid-19 in June, so I had to go to this location to have a ring resized.

Went to Kay to get my 6 month old ring fixed. One of the small diamonds had fallen out. The gentleman took one look at it and told me it would be $100 to get it fixed. The ring was bought at the Kay in Great Lakes Crossing mall, so he said to go there and maybe they could replace the whole ring, but I could get the diamond replaced at this location for $100. Went to Great Lakes Crossing and the lady there took a look at my ring and knew exactly which collection it was from and informed me that the ring was under warranty and it would be fixed for free. She even said they would tighten the loose prongs and clean it for free as well. Obviously the man at the Lakeside location didnt know exactly what he was doing and it almost cost me $100 because of it. I would not recommend this location, better off going somewhere else.

I took my jewelry to get inspected and cleaned and the sales lady that helped me did a great job with my jewelry. However when i wanted to look at a new piece in the show case her or the other lady in the store couldnt be bothered. I will definitely take my furture business elsewhere.

Staff is always very friendly, Maryann is terrific as always. We usually end up leaving with something. The only issue Ive had is the quality of certain pieces that I have purchased here. The sapphire in a custom ordered ring has fallen out twice and been repaired twice. But overall the service has been great.

I went into this store looking for an engagement ring. I explained to them that I was in the early stages of shopping and just wanted to see what was available for future reference. Even after explained that to the salesmen AND the manager, they were extremely pushy and just kept throwing rings at me to try to get me to buy one. Then after stating that I liked the looks of one of the rings they showed me, the Manager took it up to the front counter and was persistent about selling it to me. After telling them I was not going to buy, they both were disgusted with me. I would not recommend this location to anyone!!

I cannot go here anymore. They have become so rude and I am always treated like an inconvenience. Even today walking in I said hello, was looked at by both employees and...silence. After a moment I was approached and I stated I was there to have my ring inspected. As always I expected her to look at my ring and tell me if it is in good shape or needed to be sent in. She immediately punched in my account number and handed me a receipt. She did not even look at my ring. Last time this happened I lost a diamond. They cannot just print out a receipt, they HAVE to look at the ring. I dont care how busy they are. I explained that I thought it should be sent in and this angered her because I didnt tell her. (ISNT IT YOUR JOB TO ADVISE ME?) I have been there to purchase jewelry for my mother and a woman asked my price range and told me to go to the fake diamonds and walked away. There were beautiful bracelets in my price range right in front of me (I had to show her once she came back). They have misplaced my ring before to where it was missing for 5 days. My husbands watch that cost hundreds of dollars had to be sent in and came back with moisture inside the glass. I could go on and on, its just a shame. Ive been going there for over 10 years and it is nothing like it used to be. Ill be driving to Partridge.

Wonderful customer service we took my ring in to be sized. Of course it had to be sent out but got it back in said amount of reasonable time! It now fits perfect and looks brand new! Can you say bling bling!!

I went to Kay to have a couple of rings resized and cleaned, and Maryann helped us. I think it was a tad expensive, but I feel that they know what they are doing, will take good care of the rings, and will do their best to make them look amazing. Maryann was great; even my cynical teenager liked her.

This place is the absolute worst. The customer service in this store is probably the worst i’ve ever experienced. The sales associates can’t be bothered & don’t even acknowledge your presence in the store. Not to mention I haven’t even had my engagement ring for a year and a half and i’ve lost two diamonds already, and they act like this is “normal.” Do not spend your money here, stay far far away.

I truthfully wasnt looking for a diamond but then i met angie and i gotta tell you it was one of the best purchases that ive ever made. she took her time with me and followed up with even though i wasnt in the market yet and when i finally did get in the market i visited a lot of stores but i had to give her a final shot.she did not let me down one bit and took her time now she has a customer for life or as long a she works there.kudo to angie and maryann you guys rock.

Would give zero if I could. Multiple things went wrong with our experience. We should have known better based on previous experiences but I guess its our own fault for going back. They will tell you whatever they need to just to get the sale. We were told we would get a credit towards a diamond upgrade, we were told we would get $100 voucher to use in the store, and we were told we would get 0% for 36 months if we open up a card. All of this turned out to be false information. Unfortunately we didnt find this out until after the fact.

Hi, I bought an item from the Sterling Heights, MI location they charge me $20.00 more for the item than it cost. The only reason I found about this error is because I tried to take it back to another Kays. I went back to Lakeside mall (Kays) and the manager told me the person was new and everybody is entitled to a mistake. These ladies are not the friendliness ladies in my opinion. I would advise everyone to always Check your receipt and make sure the numbers match. I paid $50.00 dollars for a $30.00 item now what if I would have not changed my mind and returned, I would have never knew 🤔😟

1 star is more than they deserve. Worst purchasing experience. I ordered a ring. When I was told it was ready for pickup, they had lost it and I waited an hour just to find out it was wrong and they had to send it back. Next I got bands to go with, they had 1 and had to order the second. They said it would be 10 days, 2 weeks later I went by to find the order was in and nobody called... then they get the ring and it is the wrong one. Then they had problems determining the real rings sku and ordering it, this totaled 4 more visits. Finally get the right ring and notice that the ring is $100 less than what they had me pay. So for the 2 I should have gotten $200 back, they only refunded $106 and for the whole experience all I got was a lame apology.

The ladies at this store suck with customer service. They dont smile and greet you. Theyre all always on their personal phones. They make you feel like your not worth their time and when theyre done helping you they dont say have a good day! They just turn away from you and continue to be on their phones. Terrible store. THIS IS NOT AN AUTHENTIC KAYS. This is a third party Kay’s Jewler not associated with Kay’s. They refused my exchange due to a diamond missing because it was not purchased from their store even though I purchased the lifetime warranty, it was not valid at their store. Go to a real location.

Horrible experience. They misplaced our ring three days before our wedding and acted like it wasnt even a big deal. I wouldnt spend another penny at this place. Id give no stars if I could. Still waiting on a call back from the manager...but thats okay take as long as you want. Ill just make sure everyone knows about how awful you treated us.

She didn’t give me her name when I asked so yeah that’s a start, but as soon as I walked up to the counter she pointed at my wallet and asked blatantly if it was real, I reply yes, she then continues for a good 5 minutes on how she has the entire collection and just bought her son a pair of hightops with the same print (I have a Gucci Supreme snake print wallet). Basically everything I was wearing that day was questioned and it was incredibly annoying. Secondly she knew absolutely nothing about the watches or the jewelry she was selling, she told me (as I’m looking at the clearly quartz bulova, in the “quartz” section) that it was 100% an automatic piece. She told me oh so confidently that the Quality of a diamond (i2, i3, vs, vvs, etc etc) was based off of how big it was, it was just overall a fairly demeaning experience and quite frankly was boarderline laughable.

They are rude, not willing to help and only interested in selling what is convienent for them.One lady asked if she could help me, while munching on some food... which everyone that has worked in customer service knows this is a big noooo, when I told her what I was looking for she let someone else help me. Worst experience ever I just walked out because of how rude they were. My boyfriend was nice enough to take me to get something, not one person greeted us. We pushed it aside and waited to be helped but instead I had to go get someone and she litteraly looked at the case took a guess at the price and walked away to greet someone walking in the door after I stood there for 20 minutes and waited to be helped. Terrible dont know if they were blowing us off because we were younger but I will be picking something out esle where. Worst coustmer service dont know why people still go to this location. WHAT A JOKE! Just like all the other Kay stores I have visited, the sales associates and the company as a whole is a RIP OFF! Not only do they sell overpriced jewelry, but their jewelry appraises for pennies on the dollar! I own two Diamond rings I purchased from Kays, one ring here in Michigan at this location and another in Tucson, AZ. With that being said, the ring from AZ is a Black Tungsten 1/4 ct ring, but due to the fact that its in Tungsten and Tungsten isnt a precious metal, its worthless because no place will buy it. Now onto the ring I purchased at the Lakeside location, it is a 1/4 ct Black and White Diamond Sterling Silver ring, which was just appraised for, wait for it.... $6. Because of the fact that the silver isnt worth much, and the diamonds are small and pretty much worthless. The moral of my rant is DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM KAY JEWELERS!!! Its a waste of your money, and will be a waste of your time if you plan on reselling it.

They had actual emails bragging about maxing out customers credit lines!!! If you think their service and products are bad, working for these vampires is worse.
