Dont let the small size of this shop fool you. This place is amazing. The people are friendly and welcome strangers as friends. Go in on Saturday and get tarot readings too!

This is one of the coolest places in town. It may be a little small yet what they have is pretty big. The most friendly staff also. She answered every question that I had and she was very knowledgeable about what she was talking about. I just wish I had more money to spend cause I go there and spend it all. You do need a mask to go in. If you dont have one they will gladly give you one. The best stuff I think are the fossils that they have. Once youre done shopping you can pop next door and grab one of the best gyros in Springfield.

Absolutely friendly and very helpful people. They know how to help you and inform you on items you have questions about. It was excellent service. I recommend them very much so! Definitely worth a look crystal lovers. Plus they have so much more.

This is a small, family owned business that I happened upon moving to town. The staff is kind and helpful! They have an assortment of items, definitely a good stop for 5 minutes or more depending on your topic of conversation!

I love this place! The people are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a good variety of fossils and crystals and I was surprised by how reasonable the prices were! The lady (wish I would have asked her name) wrapped most of the crystals herself and does beautiful work! Iwill definately be going back!!!

I highly recommend checking them out! Check their social media first, though. The store closes sometimes when theyre at various rock shows.

Trusted and knowledgeable seller. Great pricing on unique items. I am a Certified Crystal Healer and I refer clients to Rock Candy all the time. You cannot trust everybody when purchasing gemstones online and they are definitely a trusted seller. If you can visit in person they have a wide variety to choose from!

I got to stop in here with my parents over a month ago and we got some of the best stones and crystals from this nice guy! We had a great conversation and he has a lot of stories to share! I highly recommend this place.

Very friendly and have good products. However with the amount of shows, lots of special merchandise is removed from the store. I think they need to offer things online and maybe close the store part of business since half is gone 9/10 times.

Coming from out of town I got lost and the owner was so helpful getting me to the shop. Even though they were in the midst of reflooring the shop was open and well stocked. The owner took a lot of time with me and answered my many dumb questions 😜. I will go back any time I go through Springfield and I highly recommend it!

Great place and people!

Rock Candy is a small rock shop with some inexpensive, and loads of overpriced merchandise. The owner/manager isnt even there most of the time. You have to call him and let him know you are wanting to get in. He told us hed be there in 5 minites, but it took him about half an hour. He claimed to have been running errands, but the people in the surrounding shops say he is rarely there.Most of the rocks are of poor to decent quality. As expected, the inexpensive rocks are of poor quality, but the decent rocks are priced as though they were of a much higher quality than they are. Ive been a rock hound for 40 plus years, and doubt Ill be returning to this rock shop. Ill continue to do my shopping at the Rock and Mineral shows that come to a variety of locations in the central Illinois area each year. Like the one at the State Fairgrounds the third weekend in October. Or others in Decatur or Quincy, or even Alton in March or April. The vendors are there to make money but, unlike the Rock Candy shop, their prices are very fair and better reflect the quality of the product.

Take your business elsewhere, the owner is very unprofessional and untrustworthy. Owner was pitching his stuff to me at a gem show and excited to tell me about some wholesale product he offered me to purchase (note that I didnt asked to make this order, he offered and I took him up on it to support a fellow small business.) He was initially very kind and communicative. However, he never seemed to follow thru with any promises and when I would (gently) follow up to check on progress, he always had an excuse as to why it wasnt started, and requested more time. Of course, I am a reasonable human and understand that things happen, so was very patient and allowed him to extend the deadline several times... in fact, our message exchange continued for over 10 months until I finally asked him if it would be easier on him to just forget about the order, but at that time he insisted that he just finished some of the order and also said he was attaching photos. Well, the photos never came thru, so when I asked him a few days later to re-send the missing photos, HE BLOCKED ME, hahaha. I would have been fine with him telling me he simply wasnt able to complete the job, but instead of handling it like a responsible businessperson and saying sorry, cant do it (even when given an out to do so), he strung me along for months and then blocked me with no response or closure to the conversation at all. Irresponsible in so many ways. I wish you lots of luck keeping the joint open. EDIT: the owner may claim in his responses that this review is not real, but I can guarantee you I am a real person, my experience and this review are both 100% real. I have the screenshots of the entire correspondence to prove it, and I would rather not post them here, but will if he insists on denying my review as authentic and denying this happened. You can choose to continue being defensive in your response, or easily hit me up on FB Messenger and make this right. You know exactly where to find me. I want nothing more than to resolve this and to support your business. Do the right thing and be honest...Saying youre sorry or maybe messed up isnt a big deal. Try it! Feels good, man.
