Ok all you people attacking the lady behind the counter! I been shopping in this store since 1960. My family longer than that.Mask lady , exempt from wearing you may be but, they have the right to refuse you if you dont wear one. Another complainer here , is a TOP Google reviewer.And I wont mention your name but, for the gentleman who felt he was being followed around, you was because you are known to borrow without paying.This is a good store and sure they may not have everything the bigger ones do. I have never had to go anywhere else and, never will.So,if you want to shop in a friendly hometown atmosphere shop here. His knowledge surpasses the other newer Ace stores. And as far as that old lady you have badmouthed. Shes a lot classer than you Im sure of that. I have known her for over 50 years and your words are false. Shes as sweet as they come. Dont turn your bad attitude into a false review!

Great selection and they were friendly as well as knowledgeable.

They have every thing from lamp wicks & parts to bolts & nuts. Its like walking into an old time general store minus groceries.

Found the MOST unique oriole feeder there! Loved the selection of parts electronics to fix my lamps, great price on packaged stakes for my tomatoes and a fun toy! They even added flea market booths in back with vintage goodies! Another reson to drop back by!

I’ve been three times and haven’t been able to get what I wanted yet. I love the character of the building and the people that work there but if you really need something specific, I wouldn’t suggest this place.

Nice little hardware store. I like it for the Thrift shop part but others might find that a downside since its half a hardware store, half a Thrift shop.

They have every thing. Fast, friendly and clean. Got what I needed and left. How good is that!

You would benefit yourself to call before you come. Google suggests they close at 5 weekdays, I just walked to their store at 4pm and they had already locked up and left.Frustrating to say the least.

Tried getting supplies last week. I had my child with me. When I walked in wearing my mask, this old lady wearing a, imho a useless face shield, hollered she cant come in here without a mask. I informed her she was under the age requirements of Springfield. She responded I dont know about that, rang her bell for her boss, and I waited, and waited.Finally I just left. My time is more valuable and waiting because staff is ill informed on the local laws. I went to a different Ace and was in and out.I will never try this place again based on her rude treatment of my daughter and I.

Love to see the stuff in this store. Friendly people here too.

I love supporting this hardware store. Lots of choices, things you cant find at the big box stores, with good quality and prices. The people are knowledgeable and friendly.Ive purchased good garden tools and watering devices here and been very satisfied.

Terrible customer service and very rude.The woman screaming while she was sitting down checking people out was extremely unprofessional. I walked in without wearing a mask and even tho I am exempt before I could even put one on the man literally forcibly hands on threw me out of the store.I asked if they had my product or if they could bring it to me curbside and the man just said no no no. Whether or not they had the item or not apparently he didn’t wanna make a sale .They will never get another dime of my business.

Lady at front desk was very rude. Will never go back.

Rathbone is a great hardware store thats been there many many years and I have never asked for anything he didnt know exactly where it was and how it worked. Verry helpful and pleasant. I feel right at home there.

Was once a decent hardware store. Now half the store looks like a pawn shop with kids toys, curios and plastic nick nacks scattered around. The prices are 20% over Consumers hardware down the street and the guy who owns/runs it is rude and creepy treating everyone like a possible shoplifter.

Perfect local business. They have a hardware store and a thrift shop in one. The lady at the counter was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend for anyone.

I enjoy browsing through here (usually on my way home from the farmers market). Such an eclectic assortment. Its a hardware/housewares/gardening/recycled goods store. Swear they have stuff that is brand new from the 70s and 80s in there.. love to find the unusal! 😁

I just showed up at 3 minutes until 5pm. Locked down tighter than a drum.It must be nice to be able to come and go as you please. Why do you have hours if you dont keep them.Trust that I will never patronize your establishment again ever.Shame you you.

Great store. Its been there for 100 yrs. Sometimes I forget theyre right down on C-Street. Dont forget to stop by our downtown midtown Ace Hardware!

What a surprising gem. Found a very hard to find product in stock that the major hardware stores didnt have. Also found my Japanese handsaw there also. Wife and I are going back when we have more time to browse.

One of the oldest businesses in the city and certainly a unique one! This is both a hardware store and a second-hand store, so you are likely to find anything here. The helpful staff can find it if you cant!

I called these people asking for Chelated Iron today. The person who answered the phone was not patient or helpful at all. He seemed perturbed that I would inconvenience him with a phone call to the establishment. I have a bad taste in my mouth and would probably drive to Arkansas rather than spend any money there. :P

Been to the store several times to get sockets and other tools. But today the guy at the front decided to follow me around the store and watch me. I find this offensive and bad business practices.Ii wont be returning to the store again.
