I don’t shop here very often. I would say once a year. Usually for my birthday. Just my opinion, I really hate the new lighting. Last time I was here the lighting was much softer, now it’s blinding fluorescent lights all over. I nearly had to put on my sunglasses. Not being over dramatic either. My mum even said “ why is it so bright in here?” She said it was very unpleasant and missed how it use to be. I am photosensitive however.Also it seems like such a hassle anymore to get samples. I remember years ago you just ask and they’d give you a sample and asked if you have any questions. Now they consult you on what products would work and what they like, and then go to that screen and print info about it. I understand they are only trying to help(I appreciate that) and I never had issues with someone being rude but it’s just a hassle personally to ask for samples now. I usually do research before hand and don’t really want a consultation. I only want to get a sample. I don’t mean this to come off rude but I will ask if I have questions. I only asked for one sample because it was such a process. This is not for the one in J.C. Penney.

It’s fine. It’s great if you want to find stuff that maybe the larger one is out of but honestly they just don’t have a bunch of products so it’s hit or miss on what they will have.

Went to the Battlefield Mall Sephora (not the one in JCPenney)my wife was rudely told by male worker after pulling down her mask to sniff a fragrance to keep her mask on. It wasnt what was said it was the rude tone that we did not appreciate. If you want to sell products stop trying to police your patrons over this mask ordinance . We will not be shopping here again.

I have been a regular customer for several years. All employees are welcoming and willing to answer any questions I have. I have yet to have a negative experience in the store. I also appreciate the large range of cruelty free products available in store.

Rude! Rude! Rude! Went to the Mall location not the JCPenny location..So when salesgirl asked what I needed ( Right at the front door)I said I had to exchange a tarte concealer, told her I wanted to look at many of the Sofora line items as well. I am switching over to Sofora brand. I used to use It cosmetics. I said I wanted to look at the ordinary line as well. So she gave my concealer to another girl who proceeded to leave it at the cashier counter walked off and went into the back room behind a closed door..... I stood there waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting finally I asked somebody dusting can you to show me where the Tarte display is and Ill get it myself. So the girl comes out from back and says: O you can get this, or this, here is a small size,never looking at my skin to match up a color just rambling on. I said you were too busy to help me, Ill just figure it out. I grabbed a Medium neutral.I went back to the cashier counter, there she was.... She said: Im so glad we were able to help you guys....You guys have a lot of shopping to do today? I said you were very rude to me I dont wanna make small talk with you.. I grabed my item went out the door told the girl the front that she was very rude to me as well because she just pawned me off to somebody who left me standing there..No eye contact just said there is the exit...RUDE! RUDE!RUDE!

Purchased a $75 gift card here with cash. Associate said it was good to go and gift wrapped it. Turns out when the person I gifted it to tried to use it for the first time, it had NO money on it. Hustled for $75 lesson learned won’t be back.

I usually head over to the Sephora next to Victoria’s Secret, but just stopped by the one in JCP tonight. Can’t stress enough how kind they were. The girls offered me samples of things when usually at the other location I’ve experienced slight annoyance when asking for samples. Can’t wait to hopefully come back and buy the full size from them!! I’ll definitely be going to this location in the future. Thanks ladies!

I love the eye waterproof crayons. Some of the older ladies are really nice and personable but the younger staff are snotty and standoffish. They need the Sephora crayons in a real hunter green. They have olive army colored green or pastel green. These do not look good on white people skin. Need a REAL hunter green.

Came in on a Saturday so I expected the store to be busy. I had to wait a little while to get foundation matched with an associate, and she was fabulous and I regret not remembering her name. She took the time to make sure I got exactly what I needed and spent so much time helping me at the beauty counter when I know she could have been doing other things! Great experience and lovely customer service.

I had a nice first time visit at Sephora today. Julia was very nice and knowledgeable of the products. She showed me (and gave me a sample of) a matte foundation thats good for my skin type. Im pretty ignorant when it comes to a lot of makeup since all I wear is mascara and eyeliner. I also bought lip stain and I love it! Thanks Julia for the help. You were such a good associate.

I am extremely picky when it comes to my fragrances. I have spent hours trying find a scent that I like. When I was browsing Sephoras selection Brett came up and was extremely helpful in helping me find something I liked. He was knowledgeable and personable and he helped me find a number of scents that I thoroughly enjoy.

Was in Sephora a couple months ago. Was not impressed with their customer service. I told myself I would just start ordering items online. Until I wanted a new foundation and heard they give samples of everything unlike Ulta. I was extremely impressed this time around! I like employees opinions about products. So to have FOUR employees ask me if I’m finding everything okay wherever I was at in the store. Is awesome to me! Whoever they had working November 1st 2018! Awesome and helpful staff!

The advisors at this store are such a delight! Sephora can be an intimidating place, but not in Springfield! All of the people who work at this location are always super pleasant. I never feel uncomfortable or watched. Theyve done an excellent job with matching my foundation on several occasions now. The product recommendations never seem disingenuous, and they are always happy to provide you with samples. Returns and exchanges are also a breeze. One of the few places who dont make me feel like a thief around the holidays. (Im looking at you, B&BW. Its not my fault everyone thinks I need more lotion.) Even if youre an online shopper like me, I recommend dropping by the for a Color IQ at this location. Its free, and you may learn a thing or two about your skin!

This is a great place to get your wife some lasting makeup and all that stuff. I figured out that it might seem expensive at the time, but they last for a very long time. If you buy your wife and or girlfriend makeup products from here, then they will be a good investment.

Quality makeup and skin care, great customer service, and a members club the rewards you with points for purchasing, as well as choice of free gift on your birthday! Its one of the only reasons I ever go to the mall. :D

I can’t remember the name of the sales associate who helped me but she was super awesome. She asked me if I needed any help and I told her I was looking for a setting powder and she recommended laura mercier translucent powder (it’s amazing btw). Signed me up for the beauty insider program and gave me a birthday gift since I’m turning 22 in a couple weeks. Better customer service than any other make up store I’ve been to.

I would give this store zero stars in I could. I am a black woman and I have never experienced racial propelling expect in this store. I have gone in this store 3 times in the past 6 months as I try to avoid going. And each and every time I have been followed. Maybe I need to loudly announce what item and how many I have in hand or maybe leave my ID at the counter because no matter what they always think Im stealing from their store. I have never stolen anything in my life and dont ever plan to. Its to the point where I do not plan on shopping at this location if they think following someone out of their store and in to the rest of JCP is okay.When I called to complain I was left on hold for about 10 minutes. I then had to hang up and re call. The girl I called the second time laughed about and said opps. Rude. Rude. Rude.

Ive been in multiple times and have always felt like Im being watched/stared at, but never uncomfortably. A great time I had was when I was helped by a lovely lady named Jennifer, who helped me pick out a few tarte items and a few sets of lashes a few months ago. This past time was a tragedy. Was only said hi to on the way in, no notice about deals, promos, etc. Only one gentleman asked me if I needed anything. In fact one lady named Jessica kept hovering around and even made a rude comment about the testers. Didnt even smile once. I know, for sure, that in MY STORE, even if Im confronting a SHOPLIFTER, I still have to be peppy and cheerful and choose my wording accordingly. She was very blunt and rude and Id only made the mistake of using the tester swab. Once. Ive heard other bad reviews from co-workers on the customer service at this location, and they say theyll either go to the one in JC Pennies if they need something, or just wait and go to ULTA. I dont think Ill be back to this location, either.
