I said 2 stars because the back of the house is amazing! They are professionals and know what they are doing. However the front of the house is the worst. There was a man who worked up front he was a great help. The ladies, Ill just say pink hair thinks she doesnt have to do anything and its your job to call your insurance company. I actually will never come back here. We went out of our way to give you business. We sat on the phone with insurance company and bounced. Send a bill.

I ordered lenses from here and used my own frames. I had to go back to get my frames refitted, and they are still not correct. I am not sure that the prescription was entered correctly. The customer service wasnt that great. I was offered the HD lenses and I dont really see a difference, paid the extra money for nothing. I will never shop here again.I will go back to American Vision next time.

The staff are pleasant and friendly but whoever they’re contracted with to make/fit the lenses to the frames is incompetent. I paid a significant amount of money for prescription sunglasses that finally arrived the day before I left for vacation. When I went to pick them up, I couldn’t see a thing. The gentleman said I needed to redo the eye exam which required more time off from work. The issue was that the manufacturer put the wrong prescription in the wrong lens (I could see perfect when I wore the glasses upside down on my face). Still waiting for a replacement.To the owner, please don’t placate me with the same canned response you’ve posted below. Your reviews are generally poor. You might consider fixing these issues instead of saying “you’ll look into it.”

Kennedy was my sales person today. Another couple came in, but she managed to help both of us with ease. I told her I had trouble walking and she immediately brought me about twelve pairs of glasses. I liked them all and she even helped me choose. It did not take long and was in and out. In this age where seniors are often overlook, it was refreshing to see someone so nice and helpful. Kudos to KENNEDY !!!!!

The medical technicians and doctor were OK, but the young woman out front who helps you choose your frames and lenses had zero courtesy and no willingness to explain which frames the insurance actually covers. Of course, Visionworks is not in business to help you get what your insurance covers. They are in business to get you to pay a lot more than you should have to for a medical necessity. Better idea - go to a private practice, where at least you might get some genuine assistance, or else just get they eye exam, take your prescription, and then order online.

The worst place . No customer services or consideration. When I went in about 2 weeks ago for my eye checkup as I had an allergy around my eyes and it was really bad. When they had to charge me for the visit and check up everyone was acting nice but after that I have been calling them for almost 2 weeks now and even visited their office again as my insurance requested for some additional info to fill my prescription for the medicine . I stood there to make sure they get the fax from my insurance. The guy at the desk took the fax over to a doctor and told me it will be sent right back to the insurance company. But my insurance still hasn’t received that information. I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks now to get my medicine. And nobody at vision works know what to do.

Update: upping the stars because the exam staff is just amazing. The facility was clean and quick. Not very busy. The examination staffs were awesome. Timely, kind and knowledgeable. The negative was the reception and check out staffs were very focused on money... I felt like they wanted to sell sell sell and not really care about what I actually am looking for or need. I told them I need a sample contact, and initial response was, oh, we dont give it to you unless you buy. Then they checked and figured out it was ordered. As if me coming in and paying for examination wasnt good enough for them. Not great.

Super nice staff, very attentive and knowledgable! Literally everyone at every area in the store has great customer service. My visit ended up being a telehealth one due to the regular doctor being out so I think it ended up taking longer since the in office staff had to do extra to connect to remote doctors. It was around 2 hours for a full contact lens and eye glass exam and also picking out/ordering glasses. They gave me an estimate of my glasses taking 2 weeks, but they were ready within 6 days. Loved being able to pick up glasses after 6pm on a saturday!

I drove 30 min to this place even though there are plenty of eyewear stores near me. Reason is great customer service from Andrew. Couple of years ago I had my eyeglasses here and had a good experience with him, and decided to visit again with new eye prescription. Andrew was courteous like previous time. He noticed some discrepancy in the prescription my doctor had written and alerted me. He then called my doctors office and waited patiently for over 30 minutes to get a correct prescription from them! We proceeded with glass and frame selections and completed the transaction, but imagine if he hadnt noticed the discrepancy and made glasses with wrong prescription! Big Thanks to Andrew. Keep up the great customer service!

I am not a fan of doctors offices of any sort, but I need new glasses because my vision is getting worse. I perused a few other stores, but decided on Visionworks because its convenient and they have a large network of stores you can visit for basic services (great if you move around or travel).I came in for an exam and new glasses. Erika helped with the exam portion and she made the experience phenomenal. Betsy helped with the retail portion. She was kind, patient, and offered good feedback as I tried on too many pairs of glasses. This seems like a tight-knit, small stores.I highly recommend you visit, but please be patient about the wait time. If you need an exam and new glasses, expect the visit to take a minimum of an hour.

My first time visit to pick new glasses. I already have my script, so I picked a beautiful pair of frames. We sat with Kennedy, and she worked out the cost. A lot more than 3 years ago. But when I got my receipt I was shocked that it was going to cist more than the 270.00 I already paid. Some 3rd party billing from Davis Vision something she FAILED to mention. I will be calling tomorrow.UPDATE :. I will not be charged any additional monies. The receipt was not clearly explained to me at time of purchase.

I require specialty lenses, but nothing outlandishly uncommon, and brought in an outside paper prescription.The first pair was made without the special requirements. They remade them, and were again made without the special requirements. The special requirements were apparently not entered into the computer and the paper prescription, which the associate had kept, had either been lost or discarded after the first visit. The place I got the exam done had to be contacted to get the correct prescription.The second remake was delayed about three weeks (the previous pairs had taken less than a week), then delayed another three weeks, then delayed ANOTHER three weeks, with no updates at any point in between and no online tracking.I have required these lenses for years and other businesses have had no trouble fulfilling them in a reasonable time frame.The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because when they were finally finished (two days after the most recently quoted time), I was actually called and my prescription was correct.

If I could rate their customer service lower I would. Broke my frames (a Visionworks brand frame) and was looking for someone who had them in stock. Called the number over 2 days over 40 times before I was able to get through. Spoke to a woman who spoke so fast I couldnt catch her name. Tried explaining what I was looking for, but was immediately put on hold. After 10 minutes, the phone rang about 25 times, then hung up on me. Called back, got same woman and when I gave her the model number and SKU of the frames, she kept asking me what brand. When I told her they were Visionworks, she said I know its Visionworks, I work here. Told her that was the brand, was put on hold again for about a minute, then told that the frames were no longer available. Funny, another Visionworks store already had them on order for me, but I was seeing if I could find them quicker. Perhaps training people to use good customer service and know their own house brands would be helpful. Will never use this store again for anything and will always use the store that actually helped me.

When I arrived I was greeted very quickly and by several employees but when the girl who waited on me said she had no record of my appointment I was furious because I had just drove 45 miles from my work in Bristol Pa to get my eye exam done, she looked several times but no appointment for me in her computer I asked if I could be seen anyway, she said theyre were no openings and now Im really fuming mad she said if the next appointment didnt show I could have their place sbc that gave me a little hope that this might just get done and all the traffic I just weaved in and out of my just be worth it but to my surprise it gets BETTER! I hear another employee (I find out later its the store manager Ashley ) who tells the girl thats waiting on me to DOUBLE BOOKme to the surprise of the employee waiting on me and me feeling like the best customer in the room I was told your in and I had a seat in the waiting room until shortly 5-10 minutes was greeted by a very happy young lady named Ericka who did my pretest she was very knowledgeable about what she did and truly enjoyed helping people it showed in everything she did then I went back to the waiting room fit about 10 minutes when I was greeted by a very nice gentlemen his name was Dr Prichard.He took me back to the examination room and I could tell he also really enjoyed what he did for a living and even after 27 years and owning his own practice chose Visionworks as his place of employment. (What does that tell you? I think he knows a good thing after 27 years of owning your own practice). Dr Prichard was very thorough with his exam and checked me for glaucoma, cataracts and degeneration and I had none. After my exam the Dr took me to look at frames and when I found the ones I liked (Ray Bans) I went back to the waiting room and waited just a few minutes and was greeted by another smiling woman who made me feel very welcome and at ease, she even called the store I normally go to in Delaware to verify what i normally get with new glasses and did my order and even gas them shipped to the store in senseDelaware to save me a trip to Pa. What more could you ask for? An appointment gone wrong that was fixed and great service with a great set of frames and a great price. Thanks to the entire staff from start to finish for a great and memorable experience. Looking forward to seeing again you all next time!

Horrible Customer ServiceI have never experienced such a disgrace in customer service at Vision Works. I have been a loyal Vision Works Customer for many years at the Ariamgo Location. Having moved I decided to call the Springfield location to make an appointment. When I called last month, I was put on hold for 30 minutes. Eventually, the phone call hung-up, and I decided to call back. When I called back I explained I was on hold to make an appointment and that the call hung-up. The receptionist did not apologize for the hold and then put me on hold again. After a few minutes, asked me for my information to make an appointment for over a month later. I said okay and confirmed with her that my appointment was for 1/7 at 10:40 am. She did not confirm my contact info and hung up. Today when I arrived at 10:28 am, I was told I was late for my appointment.; that it was scheduled for 10:20 am. I told them I have 10:40, I am an avid calendar keeper, and wrote the note down, therefore this time error came as a complete shock. I asked if I could still be seen. They said no, that I was late. I explained how I was treated on the phone the prior month and that I need this appointment. The man replied that he can not take me. In disbelief, I left the store. Only 8 mins, I was supposedly late and they refused to assist me. I now have no way of getting the contacts I need to see, I dont have anymore. I called out of work for this appointment and have nothing to show for it.

I had to get my glasses redone ,so no problem and cust service there was good, BUT not sure what lab they work with,but they were resubmitted on March 26th, I was just told today,they wont be ready until around May6th , so I am very disappointed its taking this long and Im just finding out it would be this long.

Today was my first experience at this location !!!!! Friendly staff ... Super friendly! The people at the front desk and the doctor were super nice , extra prompt! My appt time was 9:40am, I got there 5 mins before ... filled out my paper work ! Soon I was done , the female doctor called me in ! I was out of there by 10 ! Did my yearly exam and ordered my contacts ! They are very prompt and I will definitely recommend them to anyone!

My first encounter with them went fine, when I ordered my glasses, although you should know it took two weeks to actually get the glasses. Three months later, I returned because my expensive Nike glasses were falling apart. After waiting ten minutes just to talk to someone, I was told they wouldnt help me without an appointment. I showed them how the arm of my glasses was falling off, and they just repeated that they wouldnt see me without an appointment. I asked if it says on their web site that appointments are required. They said yes. I checked and, of course the web site does NOT say that it is required. Then I had to ask the woman, So, can I schedule it now.? (shouldnt she have offered without my prompting?) She then scheduled me for five days down the road. Not friendly, not helpful. Indifferent at best.

Professional service, great effort, top tier service and I was able to get new prescription sunglasses 🕶 and contact lenses with my insurance without any difficulties. Horrible experience. I had an eye exam yesterday (Springfield, PA) and it took awhile for the employees to acknowledge me, even after making eye contact a few times and assisting another customer. When it was time to check out, I was charged $50 for the copay. As soon as I left, I called my insurance company and I was told that my copay for an eye exam should have been $0. Not only was I treated poorly, but I was scammed out of $50

Got me set up with the Dr. and then helped me pick out a great pair of glasses! She also helped me with getting contacts ordered and called me personally to tell me they were ready for pick up! Took my Mom for glasses (purchased 2 pair) we were told approximately 2 weeks for delivery and that I would received text messages during the entire process so we would know what stage the glasses were in. NO TEXT - NO GLASSES. I just tried to call the store to inquire and was left on hold fro 9.46 minutes before I hung up and called again and I am currently on hold again for 5.16 minutes. I took my daughter for a doctor’s appointment and at the end they told us that they will call me within the next two weeks to let us know when we can pick up my daughter’s glasses. Almost two months passed and no one ever called me. I had to go to the store and when I asked the lady about the glasses, she looked at me if I had 4 heads. She was very rude and not helpful at all.

I had an overall great experience here. Had to wait a little long for my initial appointment (not sure if there is only one doctor but she was booked solid) but actual exam was very quick! Got my prescription squared away, chose my frames, and got them a few days later. Everyone that worked there that I encountered was very nice. It’s a shame other people report having issues.

Theres no option for a 0 rating! I made an appointment 1 week ago, showed up on time. Waited 30 minutes before they told me to reschedule because I had somewhere to be, BUT only after they took someone else at my appointment time and didnt even bother to tell me they were running behind! What is the point of an appointment! There was no one in the office when she told me to reschedule! The Dr clearly cant multitask or manage their own time. There was 20 minutes inbetween someone getting dilated that she could have seen me. Instead she sat and did nothing! Worst location Ive ever been to. Drive to another location and dont waste your time.

I scheduled appointments for myself and my son. I received a voice mail message that they had to change both appointments. I called back had to wait three weeks to get new appointments. After several text messages confirming both appointments on the new date we show up and are told only I have an appointment. I showed them the confirmation text messages and was told that if we wait around maybe they could take both of us. I explained that this was the second time there was an issue with the appointments and all they said was we could wait and see. Talk about terrible customer service, screw up appointments twice and act like it was my fault. No thanks. I will never go back. I will take my business somewhere that has better customer service.

I came here with my mother because my glasses are broken and our insurance works with this company. We came on a Saturday and I brought my prescription, but my doctor hadn’t lifted the void on it so we needed to come a different day. We showed the ladies at the desk what two pairs of glasses that I liked and asked for them to be held because of the void- I watched her put them in the drawer. Fast forward to today, Wednesday, we come back to get the glasses we put on hold with our now void-less prescription. They tried to BS me by saying that it wasn’t lifted when we had spoken to someone there earlier on the phone apparently named “Andrew” who said we were good to go but the ladies tried to tell us we weren’t. After arguing we weren’t and having them check it out again, they said we could get our glasses. They didn’t tell us they only held them for 2 days but they didn’t have them anymore. I find it interesting that those 2 specifics pairs were sold that fast, but I tried to disregard it. What annoys me and makes me angry is that the desk ladies are rude. I guess it’s fine for the ladies there to pick up their FaceTime calls that they find so important to take during WORK right in front of me. Watched her run to the back to pick it up and I had to talk to the other desk lady. Wish it was only that, but they BS’d me even more. This time I put a different pair on hold because I couldn’t find another pair I liked so we are going to check out a different vision works, but this time they wrote me a card for the glasses and told me that for 1-2 days they will hold them but that they also will leave them out on some table for other people to still look at. My first time getting glasses on hold they never gave me a card or the number for the frame which is why I can’t find them right now. And if you’re putting them on hold, why would they put them on display for other people to just buy and take away from the customer if we asked for it to be on hold? I can understand a little bit since it had been over 2 days since that Saturday, but it’s just NOW coming to my attention that I was supposed to get a card. I should have been given one in the first place. They told me they can’t guarantee they’ll be there for me to buy with other people looking at it, but if I watched them put them in a drawer FOR HOLD for ME, then why would you put them on display for others to just buy and take away from within those 2 days? They were just rambling because that does not make any sense whatsoever. Tried my best to even be polite by saying thank you when I walked out, and heard nothing back from them and could feel the attitude. I would try my best to disregard it, but I could tell that they definitely made my mother upset with all the excuses they came up with and how they treated her.Bad customer service, I expect better from employees, but it’s not surprising if you just let them answer personal phone calls at work...

Booked a Friday 5:30pm for eye exam, glasses & contacts. 2 days before my appointment I receives a voicemail that the DR cant make it.. I know nobody wants to work late on Fridays, but dont advertise that you take appointments, if you dont want to do them. They tried to encourage me to come in at 4pm but I could not do that due to my work schedule, hence the 5:30pm schedule....Cannot say Im impressed. I guess if the DRs message was more personal like; I would like to see my child in their Christmas Play or something I would have been more inclined to reschedule, but Just the Doctor cant make it is not personal, too called and doesnt explain why the Dr cxld on me???? So I booked with the competition. Sorry Visionworks Springfield, Not a very good experience with you!

Not at all pleased with this place, glasses are too loose, Ive been back to tighten but still not right, Paid extra for scratch protection - no better than my regular glasses. Also have had them less than a year and when I hold them up I can see little circles and plus signs on the glass. Guess its how they mark them but should I be able to see them?????

Worst customer service ever👎. This is my second visit to visionworks since last year, I had an eye exam a few days ago and had to come back to pay my bill as it was MLK day, my company insurance was therefore closed on that day. I expected to discuss my benefitsthrough my insurance and see all the possible options allowed. But no, the lady at the customer service was unprofessional, all she cared about was my paiement card, and all she said was that she cant do anything and has no information regarding my order like I landed from another planet, and she didnt even detail me my bill or even tell me what I paid for? I asked for contact lenses and all I pay for is a training class to learn how to wear my contacts.Thanks Visionworks for the scam, and thanks for the terrible assistance !Will never ever go back there.

My wife and I were greeted by a gentleman to ask if we needed help. We were drawn to the buy one get one pair free offer. We mentioned that and I inquired about Ray-Bans because I had seen them on an online advertisement. We were the only customers in the store along with five store representatives who were standing behind the counter on their cell phones. One woman replied We dont sell Ray-Bans here. I replied I saw them online and she hastily replied, while still operating her cell phone, We have nothing to do with what goes online. They dont tell us anything about what goes on online. I replied What if we purchase 2 pairs online do we still get the sale price? In a loud, harsh, condescending voice she replied Its not my job to do homework when I go home!!After this women’s rude and condescending attitude we left the store immediately, without even having a chance to look around. This display of customer service was deplorable. While we were berated in the store, the four other associates just stood there and complacently nodded in agreement. This was my first and LAST time I will ever visit or recommend Vision Works. My day started off in an enthusiastic mood, looking forward to getting a good discount on 2 pairs of glasses, instead it ended with my wife and I dejected and feeling verbally assaulted.

Waited a long time for my appt. Exam was not as thorough as other places I’ve gone. I can’t even read with my glasses. They also told me my sons insurance did not cover tinted lenses. They do. They just don’t carry tinted lenses if they’re not sunglasses.

I went into the store on Monday with my husbands broken glasses, thinking they could not be fixed but to my surprise, Shantae was able to fix them and did it so quickly!! She was so polite and friendly!! I have only used VisionWorks one time but they are now my go to place for glasses!!! Thanks so much!!!

This place is the worst experience Ive ever had at a eye doctors. I have been using Americas Best for years and only switched due to my insurance. Yhe customer service was horrible with a capital H! They were very rude and incompetent. First, I had to wait a month for an appointment. When I arrived, nobody even acknowledged me. After asking several times, a lady came to me and rudely told me to wait in the back. The exam was fine, however afterwards, I waited for about 30 minutes to be checked out. There was a lady at the desk that didnt know how to check me out so I had to wait. There was an Indian lady that finally helped me and she was rude and nasty!! She was unable to complete my order because I had questions concerning my insurance and she was getting frustrated because she didnt know what to do. Finally, a manager came to help me and his response to her was just get her out of here, never mind I will do it. He never greeted me he just checked me out. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for my contacts and theyre still not in. I will NOT be going back here ever again!! I will pay out of pocket and return to Americas Best. Very, very unprofessional!

Mixed feelings about this place. Got glasses for my daughter and really overpaid for them when all was said and done, so we were not happy about that. However, over a year later, they broke, we took them in and the lady said they were no longer under warranty, but she could try to fix them. Problem was that they could permanently break in her attempt to fix them. She handed them over to a coworker who successfully repaired them and handed them over to us saying good as new. And we were on our way free of charge.

Just went there to have a screw fixed on my glasses. Employee was polite and fixed the problem quickly with a new screw, so it hopefully wouldnt happen agan. Did not charge for the service.

If I could, I would seriously give a ZERO STARS rating!! I’m highly dissatisfied and taking my business elsewhere due to there incompetence.As a busy, hard working woman, I had to schedule an appointment on the one day I had off from work during the week. I was fine with I having to wait a few weeks because they were booked up on the days l had off. But then it came time to go to my 12:30 eye appointment and I arrive early. It’s about 12:15. I’m told by 2 different people that someone will be with me shortly. Few mins go by and a gentleman comes to tell me he is “sorry but the doctor left sick for the day and they left messages”. I’m looking at my phone, NO VOICE MAILS NO MESSAGES. (Last call from them was the night before they confirm my appointment reminding me). And long story short it was disappointing and frustrating considering, I spent time and energy on my one day traveling (with high traffic due to construction everywhere). And planing everything around this appointment. Which I’m having such trouble seeing, so I’ve desperately needed this appointment. I would have just been happy to get notified and then I would have reschedule. No problem. What makes this situation worse is, SOME ONE CALLS ME at 2:52pm that day stating, “the doctor won’t be in to call back to reschedule and that they had to cancel my appointment”. Really!? I was there at 12:15 for my 12:30 when you apparently told me you “left me a message saying the dr left sick and that my appt was cancelled”. Please don’t lie to me. Or waste my time. And defiantly do not call me damn near 3 hours after I wasted my time and was there already and had to deal with the nonsense. It was so backwards. I really never EVER write reviews. But this was highly frustrating. So after a quick call that same day I made an appointment with a different company and only have to wait 5 days to get in and hopefully if they run into a doctor needing to leave ill, I’m SURE THEYLL CALL ME BEFORE MY APPONTMENT NOT HOURS AFTER I BEEN THERE FOR MY APPT. Seriously, get more organized and better at communicating. Everyone works hard and their time is important like everyone else. Just saying.

Had a default in my glasses was told they would reorder them (free of charge) that someone would contact me as soon as the new ones came in 3 weeks later I had to call the store to find out if they have arrived was told yes come in and they would swap them out fast forward 20 minutes Im at the store the person behind the desk said that it would take 20 minutes to change out the lenses 2.5 hrs later still sitting there no glasses and the way the staff talks about customers who just left is disrespectful staff forgot I was sitting in the waiting room when I left the store 3hrs later I was walking out as the phones where ringing off the hook and the staff yelling Im not answering it (Im on lunch) I just wish there was a zero star option

I went here for the first time to get a prescription for glasses. As soon as I showed up the problems started....they implied that I did not have an appointment scheduled. That eventually got sorted out, after seeing the doctor I noticed there were 4 or 5 employees moping around moving at a snails pace, one employee would ask me to sit here and then another would as me to sit elsewhere and wait to be seen. After playing musical chairs for about 45 min, one employee asked me disrespectfully what I was waiting for, wagging her hand and finger in the air making rude and annoying gestures, that was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak, I told her I did not appreciate her nasty attitude. I requested my prescription, they verified my insurance and left, ILL BE GETTING MY FRAMES ELSEWHERE!

NEVER GET GLASSES FROM HERE! I am at my regular eye doctor and found out that the prescription for my lenses are not probably centers so that I can actually see out of my glasses. The vision is at the top of the lenses. And the over charged and and ran my insurance incorrectly. Stay away from these amateurs.

Messed up my exam and order than when i sent them my prescription they told me they would order them for me week later i call for a heads up and they never even filed the order. Customer service is awful at this location. I called two days after my glasses were suppose to be in because I had not heard from anyone as to if they were in or not, it took me five times calling for someone to finally answer and when they did I was told they are “too busy” to look and check for me. I asked if someone would call me back and she said sure. I willbe looking for another eye doctor for my next appointment.
