The Experience I had was five starEven though they were out of network to my insuranceThey waited over an hour on holdFor my insurance companyI finally asked the lady to hang up and told her I would payThey care about their customersThe doctors are wonderful the tests are new updated machinesThe doctor immediately check my health insurance to see if we could get my glaucoma taken care ofAnd they got me fit for glasses and ordered to my likingI then called my insurance company the next dayAnd am able to submit the billFor my insurance toCut me a check for the difference

I had a horrible experience with this Bard Optical. Glasses were rubbing a hole in my nose. Their answer was put antibiotic cream on it. Then when I asked for a replacement they conveniently said that the 30 day policy was passed. I spent $400 on glasses that I couldnt wear. When I tried to reach out to their corporate office I didnt get any more cooperation from them. Save your money and go elsewhere if you want a decent experience.

Came to bard optical with insurance and the lady straight lied to my face telling me I had to have all these extras when I knew I had a choice so after adding everything and with my insurance it came to almost $500. So I took my prescription to eyemart express and I paid $56. Dont lie to your customers just to make money. Horrible place, they dont care about the customer, only how much they can make off you.

Wonderful experience! I was greeted very friendly by a man in a suit. He got me signed in. Everyone I met with doing different jobs were very professional. Then into the room with the doc who came in immediately. He was wonderful, great personality, totally understood my issue with my glasses. Did his testing and we decided to alter the placement of my bifocal line. I really liked the doc. Then out to the gal to choose the frames. Again, very professional. I am going to pick them up tomorrow. They said they would be in in 7-10 days and they called me 8 days later and said my glasses were in. Wonderful experience in every way. To the lady who gave a negative review because she was late, that is not the doctors office fault. It was unfortunate she was stuck behind farm machinery but leave yourself a little extra time and dont write a negative review when you were the one who was late.

I got a pair of glasses that I thought looked good but picking them up and wearing them it was a mistake so I’m going back to my old glasses and not going back to Bards next year. After reading some of the reviews I agree with the people that wrote there reviews!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Bard optical! I went to the branch on Wabash 5mins before closing just to look around and the employees were extremely nice and helpful. I actually ended up getting a pair of glasses and a free pair of prescription sunglasses as well. The employees ended up staying about an hour after closing time which was AMAZING of them but I felt really bad...All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Bard to everyone.

It’s very unfortunate that I got stuck behind a farmer with a line of cars in front of me trying to pass for 5 miles. Which in turn made me 13 minutes late for my appointment. But it made no difference to the red headed lady at the counter which insisted I needed to reschedule because I wasn’t there promptly at 10 am. Drove a long ways just to see Dr Atkins, since I heard he was the best in town. Not to mention waited a month just to see him. Messed up part was when I told her “reschedule over 13 minutes? And no one is in the waiting room? You don’t mind losing patients do ya?” When she raised her eyebrows and the smirk on her face, that said it all! Guess I’ll be going somewhere else. Not like it’s the only eye place in town!!!

While the eye care exam and employees are extremely nice and helpful, it is way to pricey. If you have financial issues I would advice not to go there due to pricing.. even with insurance and 40% off my glasses... it was $600

Almost $700 dollars and the lens are junk with in a year they want almost $400 with warranty. Im happy I saved my $250 Wal-Mart glasses. They lost my familys business for ever! Way over priced. Save time and money go elsewhere.

The wait time is not long if you have an appointment. You will have to fill out a form the first time. The staff is very friendly. They are always great.

Manager was incredibly rude. Other staff memebers ordered wrong contact lenses, charged incorrect amount, reported I qualified for discounts that manger then declined. The whole thing was a mess and wasted so much of my time. None of the office staff seemed qualified or experienced working on machines before being taken back for actual exam. They also told 1-800-Contacts my current contact prescription was expired after 9 months. They are careless, unprofessional and lack appropriate experience. NEVER GOING BACK.

First they told me my insurance covered everything and then after the exam and whatnot they tried to tell me my insurance didn’t cover it. Then After I got my $400 ray bans I accidentally bent them. I went in to get them fixed. It was obvious where the bend was on the frame. They told me if they fixed them they weren’t liable, I thought ok that’s fine since it’s a straight forward easy fix. Nope, the guy bent the frame in a completely different spot which cause them to break. But hey they aren’t liable so I’m screwed! If he would’ve fixed it in the right spot they would have been fine!!! Oh and their customer service is awful they are super rude and not helpful!!!!!!

I was once very satisfied with the service here, until while i was out of the state fkr a year. I tried to get an appointment with another optometrist for some emergency glasses. LO and behold my insurance company informs me that i cant use thier services since i had already been to the eye doctor that year. I hadnt been for the last 2. BARD charging my insurance every year even if i didnt go. BEWARE, and be vigilant with your insurance with this company.

Terrible service! Have been waiting on my glasses since October and it is now March! Every time i try to contact them i jave to leave a message with no call back and cant even get ahold of corporate! Please go to a different place to get glasses! These people are a joke!

Be sure to show up early for appointments, if you are more than 7 minutes late youll be forced to reschedule and the staff are not polite.

Front staff rude, I always pay up front and Ill ask are they certain everything has been charged for, they will answer yes, in such a smug tone. But of course several months later a mystery bill will occur.

First of all, I am not a competitor. I went there with three of my children to get exams for three of us. Kids needed it for school and I was having problems. I had appointments for us.The staff was not family friendly. In fact they were obnoxious and rude. My little ones had never seen an eye Dr before and they made everything that much worse. They got irritated that the boys were nervous and their treatment of them was abhorrent. I would not return there nor put my family through such rude treatment again. The looks they gave, the things they said,...and to treat special needs children or any child like they are a bother and a waste of time is something I cannot forgive. My children are well-behaved and did not act any different from any other child on a first time visit, special needs or not. And they werent any nicer to my adult daughter or myself. We walked out of there vowing to never come back. Someone needs to clean house with that office staff. This is simply the worst of the worst.
