I decided to go here instead of another popular place where you can get “2 pair for 69.95” because of the negative reviews for that unnamed place. I’m so glad I did! It was a great experience. You can get 2 pair for around $70. We went with some slightly more expensive pairs. Got 2 pair of glasses with polycarbonate lenses free (they do this for all kids) and an insurance replacement policy on both pairs for under $160. They were ready in an hour and a half. They were very busy but got ours done since we live 2 hours away. Excellent staff. Everyone we came into contact with was very polite and helpful. Made my daughter getting her first pairs of glasses a great experience!

I visited this location to get my glasses adjusted and pick out a new pair of glasses. They were busy, but I was greeted when I entered by a staff member helping a client. I opted to get my glasses adjusted first. Unfortunately this was a new staff member that had little training and little help from any other staff member to learn how to adjust glasses. She took forever and even told me that I might have to come back and have someone else adjust them. I then picked out a pair of frames and sat down to wait. Two customers left shortly after that, but there was still a lady waiting that had been sitting there when I came in and while waiting 4-6 customers came in to pick up glasses. It was also not encouraging that the lady who greeted me was showing pictures on her phone to a customer and stating small world. Personal chit chat when that busy - not very professional. When she finally finished with her customer, the same lady asked if I had found something and I said yes, but the other lady had been waiting much longer and that we were ahead of all the people coming in to pick up glasses. She said I know and that was that. Needless to say, I simply left and went elsewhere.

I went to eyeglass world to get new scripts and glasses and I must say what a great experience it was. A very nice staff member named Sarah Bossing greeted us as we walked in, got me right in to see the optometrist, whom I must say had a great demeanor and made me feel comfortable. Sarah Bossing helped me get through the process really easily, she was experienced, knowledgeable, explained everything very clear and had a great sense of humor. It was a pleasure doing business. Torrey helped me in front did a most awesome job.She was very courteous an helpful all the way.Just picked up my regular prescription glasses 30 minutes early. Most awesome staff. These guys are awesome, we have had nothing but the best service from this establishment! A few months ago, we ordered two pairs of glasses from them and purchased accidental damage insurance as well. Just this week we managed to smash both pairs. We walked in, got greeted with smiles all around and had two new pairs and a wave out the door in a matter of minutes without spending a dime extra. I cant tell you what a week we were having--this was the most refreshing experience, and we are grateful and loyal customers 100%!!! Thanks guys, you rock! I was not very pleased when I got my eye care here in 2019. However, Im glad I chose to give them a second chancetoday. Thorough (and fun!) eye exam from Dr. Winley that addressed all my concerns. Great service in the front eyeglass area from Rachel. Im hoping it all goes smoothly when I pickup glasses and contacts with the prescriptions I got today. If so Ill be back!

Great experience as far as the exam goes and getting my trial contacts. Doctor was amazing as well as the sales people on the floor. Was easy to figure out what pricing was going to be with my insurance. My original exam was in May. The only downfall is, I am now two months without my contacts that I ordered with little to no update. They say it is a supplier issue, but I have had no contact with anyone as far as an updates unless I call. And then when I call I sit on hold for over 10 minutes. I am out over $100 for these contacts and I am without any contacts to use in the meantime. Will be going here again, just annoyed at this issue that I seem to constantly have to call to get updates about.After making this review they were able to help with getting this right for me, thank you to Savannah for all her help! She’s the best!

I called and was able to get an exam the same day. Everything went smoothly, and while I was picking out frames, Rachel H. Was helping another customer. Rachel was unable to help the customer because of a legal issue. The customer became irate and very rude to her. She handled the situation with true professionalism. Once the disgruntled customer left the store, Rachel helped me. Her prior unpleasant experience did not affect her in any way when it came to helping me. She answered all of my questions and helped me get the best value and frames that I will truly enjoy. She was very pleasent and helpful as was the entire staff. Overall, I found the experience very pleasant and actually enjoyable. Great job Rachel! Thanks for everything.

Possibly the best experience I’ve had at an Eye Doctors from what I can remember. They were not only extremely polite and professional but also funny and nice to talk to. You can tell they genuinely care for the service you receive and I really love that. I’m an awkward type of person yet they didn’t make me feel foolish or anything negative. Rachel K was SO COOL very nice, very professional, and genuinely cared about my wants and needs. She genuinely wanted to help me and went out of her way to make sure everything was good for me and my nana. Furthermore, Dr Windly was SO COOL and so nice. He was as nice as a elementary school teacher if that even makes sense. Like, he was genuinely kind and funny and was so respectful and such a good person. He did is job very well! Stephen was AWESOME also, super helpful, super involved and you could tell he was happy to be there and help. I appreciate everyone there and the atmosphere was very positive. I’d recommend this place to everyone and anyone. Such a great job.

Wow! Absolutely incredibly amazing service! We had a great experience buying glasses last year but we had some sort of issue with our insurance so we had to call and get this resolved today. Sarah, a leader at Eyeglass World, got to the bottom of the issue and rolled up her sleeves and dove right in. Even though it was a complex and difficult situation she never gave up and she resolved the issue for us. My wife and I are so touched by the level of service that she and others at Eyeglass World provided that we are definitely going to be using them in the future and letting others know about this service. We are both blown away by that! Great job Sarah and Eyeglass World!!!

I dont have insurance and desperately needed new glasses and I got two pair with everything I needed for just 165 and in just an hours time they was ready for pickup. Visited the EyeGlass World store on Battlefield in Springfield, MO recently and received EXCELLENT customer service. Vision Specialist, Rachel K. was very knowledgeable and provided a very positive eyeglass shopping experience. The store’s eyewear selection was extensive, reasonably priced, and the COVID -19 protection procedures were very good. Only wish the store fully accepted VSP Vision Insurance. Kudos to Store Manager, Stephan. Keep up the good work.

I came in to get an exam, contacts, sunglasses, and regular glasses. The staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Savannah who helped get me a great deal. She really takes the time to get to know you and find out what youre looking for in a good pair of frames, then walks you through getting the best bang for your buck. Highly recommend this place!!

This place is AMAZING. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. The selection is the best you can find, even for hard to fit / small faces. Prices are clearly marked (unlike some other local stores), and they dont try to upsell unnecessary products.I wont go anywhere else. Done with all the nonsense.

Save your money. The glasses are cheap the staff is rude, and if there is an issue with your lenses dont expect it to be corrected.What is advertised as inexpensive end up more than $300 anyway. So spend your money on a quality place. You will have to go to one anyway, to get glasses that work.Edit:I am changing my review to 3 stars as the manager refunded all my money and let me keep the glasses as well.I wont go back, but the refund was above and beyond.

We have used Eyeglass World for years. We like that you can get your glasses usually with in an hour or so. Very convenient. We will always wait for on person to help us when we are there. Sarah Bossing is awesome. She is very knowledgeable, patient and always helpful. I take forever to find frames I like, and she never seems like its a burden or she dont have time for me. Went in for eye exam and contacts. Set my appointment up online and showed up 10 minutes early. Staff was extremely nice and dr was very informative with the prescription change in my eyes. He made sure the contacts were a great fit for me and checked my vision again with them in. Preston was the associate who finalized my bill and helped me order my contacts. He was super friendly and helpful. me in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend them.

As of 10:40 AM the Google Page says they are open until 7 PM today. Their website says they’re closed, but who checks a website in a Google world? My mother has been very sick and also blind without her new glasses. We are going to visit them for the holiday, and they asked us to pick up her new glasses so she could see for Thanksgiving. However, they were CLOSED. UPDATE YOUR HOLIDAY HOURS! And what respectable business closes on Wednesday? Why not open for half a day and let the crew go early? Why not give Thursday and Friday off? Wednesday? Everyone is finishing up last minute business on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, because people assume places will still be open! Horrible business model and now my mother won’t be able to see until Friday...

Had a great experience even though I had insurance troubles. Nancy at the front desk was super helpful and very kind and when we couldn’t figure out what was going on, Tyler helped me troubleshoot and spent well over 30 minutes trying to reach the insurance and eventually got me taken care of. Was told my lenses were in stock and my glasses would be ready after 1pm the next day. I called at 230pm to see if they were ready. The snarky girl who answered the phone first could not find I had just had an exam and glasses ordered the day before. After she located my name she rather smartly told me my glasses weren’t ready and that THEY would call ME when they were ready. This survey came the 4th day and I’m still waiting on glasses. So much for being in stock!!!

What a joke. Never should have went here just because they are cheaper. Had to call three times just to get my glasses shipped to me. Everytime I was told the same thing. I will put a note on them and have them shipped out as soon as possible which only took them 3 weeks to do. GIVEN THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION! Went to Ophthalmologist for second opinion and turns out neither eye had been examined correctly. Go there if you choose but PLEASE DO NOT take your children to them since sometimes they are not heard! I kept telling them, I cannot see out of these glasses, everything is blurry! They kept telling me I needed to give it some time. Horrible place!!

I love eyeglass world! The price for kids glasses is excellent and the replacement insurance you can add on to your purchase is totally worth it. My three year old has broken her glasses multiple times and they never give me a hard time about it. They are always super helpful and switch the glasses out for me no problem. I must say that I was totally satisfied with my purchasing experience. I was in need of a new glasses. I already had a drs prescription. I was concerned about store procedures during Covid 19, and I was very surprised at how simple and sanitary they made trying on new frames. The associates were courteous and helpful. I was able to purchase two pair of glasses, one being sunglasses for a very reasonable price. The best part was that they were ready within two hours, and the tech was very good adjusting my glasses for my comfort.I would recommend this company and location for your eyeglass needs !!!

I return to the Battlefield store in Springfield MO on 8/14/2020 to get my glasses adjusted that I had just paid over $400. In the last month.I was wearing a full face shield.The young lady at the front took my temperature asked me several questions and sign a form.Preceded to the rear of the store where I had been instructed to go.As I sat down a man from behind the counter said to me, in a very LOUD voice, that I had to wear a mask. I explained that I’d been in the store before wearing the face shield and why didn’t the lady in front say anything when she checked me in. He continued being rude and saying he he didn’t care and leave the store or put on a mask.The only reason my wife and I came there, from Blue Eye MO, was because of Dr Umbright but after being embarrassed by this employee who acted as a manager I my not go back and seek some form of legal settlement on my glasses that I’m having problems with.Also I might add I hat it even says in two different places in your store policy the wearing “face shield/mask” are acceptable.Jim BrockettAN UPDATE TO MY REVIEW:I received a phone call from the manager of this store, she extended a very sincere and warm apology for this incident.I feel very much better about what happen and will continue my association with them.I also change rating to 5 stars from 1.

I love this store. Love the deals you have on glasses.This last time I went in it was very unorganized/hectic. I dont know if they overbooked. I was just a few minutes late to my appointment, as I had witnessed an accident on the way & stopped to make sure everyone ok & left my number & headed on to my appointment. I was grateful they still fit me in. Then when I went to check out after my appointment I find out my CLUB DISCOUNT had expired, which was fine but you find out you no longer offer this - very upsetting. I hope you reconsider as I will probably go somewhere else now. I came to your store, not out of convenience but for the prices and the CLUB discount.

I highly recommend Eyeglass world! The whole experience from start to finish was very pleasant. The precautions they take with the Covid-19 screenings at the door were very much appreciated. The person manning the door was friendly. Dr Caphart was very informative and friendly also. The young lady Sirena that assisted me pick out glasses and decide which progressive lenses to get was super helpful explaining prices and options! I had a terrible experience at Chesterfield Eyeworks. I called Eyeglass World and they did everything possible to make sure I had a wonderful visit. They were able to schedule me for the very next day, and get me in and out under an hour. The optometrist, who’s name I cannot remember, unfortunately, was absolutely amazing and never made me feel like a bother, after trying on a few different types of contacts. The manager was able to help me pick out frames and even cut me an awesome deal to save me some money, after I’d wasted over $400 at Chesterfield Eyeworks. My contacts were shipped directly to my house and they told me that my glasses would be finished that same night. They were absolutely amazing and have really stepped up their game. I’d recommend them to anyone! Thank you, guys, again!

I usually don’t leave reviews for businesses, but I’ve never been here and not had to wait at least 45 minutes. Last time it was over an hour. I’m a business owner and a mom of 3, I don’t have a ton of spare time and I don’t like constantly wasting time here. Two hours is a LONG time to be in an eye doctors office.

After another place told me I didnt have insurance, which I did, I came here and they were incredible. Logan who helped me was over the top professional, patient, and treated a me just perfectly. I strongly recommend Eyeglass World. Their prices a great, a lot of choices, and very professional. What could have been an overall terrible eye experience, they sent me home with glasses and a completely different attitude. Go see Logan and all the staff, you wont regret it.

Update - 7/16/2020They still have not refunded my insurance. They claimed that they would - but have yet to do so.If I could give them a lower rating - I would.Awful experience! Totally got my prescription wrong. Brought the glasses in the next day to have a doctor re-examine my eyes. They didn’t honor the appointment time. Had to wait in line while walk in customers were allowed to see the doctors ahead of me. This place is a scam. I did receive a refund - but they have yet to refund my insurance company. ophthalmologist are arrogant and don’t seem to care.

I walked in and started looking at the two pair of glasses for $78 right away. I knew exactly what I wanted. I had a current perscription. It took a little while for someone to acknowledge that I was there. When they did, they explained what I needed to do. Eventually someone helped me decide on the glasses I wanted (2 pair of single vision eyeglasses for $78). It only took about 15 minutes for me this young man (Preston) to figure everything out and for me to pay for my glasses. I picked them up at 2:30 and Logan helped get them fitted for me. Everyone was friendly . Cant beat the deal. I will go back.

The optometrist there is incredible. The eye exam was $39 without any tax, and I received the most accurate prescription I have ever gotten. I work in costumer service, and I understand that things happen so I never write reviews. However, I am disappointed with my visit today. I took today off work to come in and get glasses with my husband. We both came in and began looking around; we looked around for a bit and nobody acknowledged us. No big deal. Another patron came in and someone went to them instantly; again no big deal. So we continued looking for a minute and realized someone else came in after the last person and they were immediately greeted and helped. My daughter needed to use the restroom and an employee rushed by us in the back, I pulled my daughter aside and I APOLOGIZED for her being in the way (even though we were standing by the bathroom); and she rudely responded Its fine as she barely acknowledged I was even human. So we left immediately. Its a shame because not only did I miss out on a full day of work; but neither of us got to get glasses today. Its not good business to blatantly ignore customers and/or be outrageously rude when you do acknowledge them.

We had a wonderful experience with Eyeglass World. Making the appointment was so easy and when I called back to add another family member and change the date and time, they were so accommodating. The optometrist, Kevin, was so good that my 13 year old son specifically asked me to write this review of him. And picking out the glasses went great because Barbara, the assistant general manager was so patient with us and really helped us get new glasses right away for my son whose last pair had broken. They were professional helpful, tolerant of my big, boistrous family and very affordable even though we didnt have insurance. Highly recommend!!

We went there today and the lady stayed after to help us look for glasses. We ended up finding 2 pairs of glasses that were almost $200 less than one pair I had found previously at my local eye care center. We got two for the price of one! She was extremely helpful and let us explore all of our options. I would highly reccomend, especially if you want your glasses as soon as the next morning and for less than half of the price!

Staff is very friendly, they greet you as you walk in. I ordered a pair of glasses online, and didnt like the frames, they told me no problem and I picked out a new frame in-store and they had it ready next day for me.I had a pair of sunglasses and they accidentally cracked them while putting the new lenses in, they allowed me to pick a new set of sunglasses frames for free.I am very pleased about my experience and highly recommend them.

Ive received excellent eye care over the past 20 years . My doctor stopped taking my insurance so I came to eyeglass world to try and save some money.I ended up spending more here than I ever have for eye care.The appointment was literally 5 minutes. They gave me the wrong prescription. They insisted on a certain brand of contacts. When I have , in fact tried that brand before and they did not work.I also asked about some dark spots and extreme redness in my right eye. The doctor just blew right past the question saying it was just age. Im 29 years old. Ive never had this issue before. So now I will have to go get a new appointment some where else to see if I can get prescription drops to fix this infection.Glasses ended up being around $400. They only tell you the upgrade price per lens. Not by pairs. It took 10 days for my glasses to arrive leaving me to wear contacts all day everyday. (The brand that kills my eyes). Then I call to check on my glasses and they tell me they have them. But cant find them. Half hour later they call back saying there ready for pickup.So I drive over to pick them up . When I arrive they inform me they are not ready for pickup. They tell me I can leave but I choose to wait since I live half hour away. 20 minutes later they come out with my glasses and they have sticky stuff all over them. I did receive many apologies . But unfortunately my experience was so awful I will not return.Terrible service for a $700 bill. Ill just self pay for a doctor that cares.

Ive been to Eyeglass World here in Springfield, Missouri twice within the last three months, and both times my service was phenomenal! I am so happy I decided to try them instead of Americas Best. Tim was the best help there! He ensured I was happy with the choice of glasses and was not pushy when it came to the extras that I could purchase. I did spend a little extra because I wanted to make sure these glasses were scratch proof and anti-glare. I was very happy I decided to!Unfortunately, I misplaced both pairs of my glasses that I purchased back in October. I got tired of using old prescription glasses, and decided to return to replace the ones that I misplaced, but without the extras because thats not how the warranty worked (didnt replace lost or stolen glasses, just damage). I was bummed I couldnt find the original pair that I had purchased previously, BUT I found two pairs that I liked even more. Tim was there again, thankfully, and helped me find frames that I loved once again. He checked for different colors for the frames, he searched through the boxes of glasses just to make sure I found some I really loved. I was happy to have found two pairs again, and he even helped me with another deal for my new pairs.Tim goes above and beyond! He always makes sure his customers are happy, he is friendly, and Im a fan of his customer service! Im so happy I decided to go back and purchase more from Eyeglass World.The glasses can be ready the very next day! I love that! And with no extra charge! I had to wait at least a week from Americas Best, and sometimes, they wouldnt even call me when my glasses were ready when they should of.They also make sure your glasses fit appropriately, and that you are completely satisfied!I will be returning in the future! Im very blessed to have had such a great experience purchasing glasses!If you want affordable glasses, with a choice of fun frames, and great customer service, PLEASE go to Eyeglass World, and if Tim is there, make sure he helps you! The experience is worth the wait too (sometimes there is a wait --but they always acknowledge that you are there and want to get someone to help you).

On the phone were very clear in saying that we were scheduling an appointment for our daughter to get contacts. We scheduled our entire Saturday around the appointment. We went to Eyeglass World for the appointment and, after the exam, refused to give us the prescription because they “didn’t have time to teach her to wear contacts”. They wanted us to bring her back another day so they could show her how to use the contacts because they couldn’t spare five more minutes. Unbelievable. We planned to buy her contacts and a year supply of her mother’s contacts. Instead, we left without paying them because they refused to give us the prescription. Why would anyone pay them for nothing? What is going on with businesses these days? Worst customer service ever. Don’t waste your time with these people.

The Dr. Is clear and very helpful with his examinations. He identified underlying early stage glaucoma that no eye doctor previously has told.me about and recommended me to a specialist.The Dr. also spent the time to find me the best fitting contacts for my eyes as most eye doctors Ive went to just stick you with one trial pair that never seem to fit right.Every single one of his staff showed me friendly and helpful customer service.Plus, BOGO!!Above and beyond is how I would describe this company.

My first visit was smooth. Got an eye exam, ordered some glasses and contacts. Went on my way. The contacts left my eyes very dry, so I wore the glasses until about a year after the first visit, and let them know Id like to try a different brand at my second visit.I tested out another pair of contacts and decided to try them out. I ended up ordering them, and they said they would call me when they came in, usually takes about two weeks. This was at the end of October. Two weeks into November, I hadnt heard anything. Decided to call them three weeks in. Oh. yeah theyre not in yet. Alright, I waited another week and called again. Sometimes those take a month to get in. Alright, I waited again.... Still didnt hear anything. I gave up. Its February now and I still have never heard from them. Im not going to keep calling them and chasing down these contacts, Im just going to go somewhere else.

We should have walked out after the five minute eye examination. Yes, five minutes. We followed through with the complete process and by the time we were done we had racked up $1,500 in four pair of glasses. The actual eye exam was the worst part. The optometrist never asked one question like if we had any vision issue whatsoever. The rest of the staff was polite and professional. The first pair of sunglasses I received broke while inside the CHEAP plastic case. We would seriously recommend another optical shop if you are shopping for glasses.

Here within my last 2 visits, things have gone downhill. There is new management, and you can tell by the atmosphere when you walk in. My first; I had an eye exam and the man who did it was quite rude, then I had to buy a new pair of glasses and all I wanted was the lenses replaced in the sunglasses. Per lense to be replaced costs over $90. In turn I spent $500, and one of my family members had the same doctor mess up on the exam. Got scratyproof lenses, and within 2 weeks had to get those replaced because they were scratched badly. Even with this new pair, they cant see clearly out of one eye. My most recent visit, I just needed a small repair, the manager helped the people behind me first, and then when I finally got to the counter he seemed inconvenienced that he had to fix my glasses. Didnt speak a word to me, was quite rude and has screwed the arms of my glasses so tight It is almost impossible to close them. He fixed my nose piece and put everything out of place, and he didnt even clean them. Ive never had to ask them before. Definitely will never go here again.

Friendly and helpful staff but another company that penalizes customers for not having insurance or being military. How are they they losing money by selling the product to everyone at the same fair price? I doubt Ill be back as they wanted $812 for 2 pair of decent glasses.

Broke my frames and then told me they were broken when I came in. The lady working on my glasses told me,“They didn’t feel comfortable working with these glasses”That is after the lady stripped the screw out of it’s spot, while trying to screw in a screw with the lens not positioned correctly.She handed them back to me bent and the lens in the wrong position. The company had nothing to say to me or wanted to make this right.I removed my phone number from this company’s listing and will never go back. The people working here are not as friendly as they used to be. They have little personality.
