They have a great atmosphere and very clean. They sanitize everything, which is very important with this virus going around. Everyone i have dealt with there are very friendly and prompt. They answer any questions you may have and they dont try to rush you. They also are very affordable. Their eye doctor is very sweet and will explain what goes on with your eyes to where you can understand her. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Better experience this time getting glasses. actually got a free pair of glasses and a text when they was ready. last time i got glasses gave a email and a phone number. last time they said they tried to email me but the email was wrong so they never bothered calling to let me know they was ready. i still cant see a difference between my free glasses and my old pair i got charged for last time. stay woke at bard they will get ya if you let them the reciews under this one is proof positive. the one review where the owner replied is probably a employee or relative of a employee you see thats the only review with a reply lol.

Went and to bard with my medical card to get a pair of glasses. Got the exam the lady told me to pick out a pair of frames so I did she fitted me then said she needed half the cash now and the other half when I pick them up. The total was over 250 dollars. I said what? Well I dont have enough I will have to come back. So I had to cancel them. I called back and asked what was the cheapest pair they had the lady said $40.00 was the cheapest pair ( with a medical card). So I bought them for $40.00. couple months later a friend of mine needs glasses he also goes to bard except he went to the one on walbash. He has the same medical card I got. He got a free pair of glasses and didnt have to pay $40.00!!! He told me about that. So I called that bard on the west side and played dumb sure enough there free on the west side with a medical card but on North dirksen they charge you $40.00. I confronted the lady about my experience and she said well since its been a couple months theres really nothing we can do. Word to the wise if you need glasses west side bard is the place to go!!! I contacted Mick Hall from corporate. Mick wanted my friends name I was not comfortable giving the name what if they went to bard in the future and get charged. When I refuse to give the name Mick said hippa regulations this convo can no longer go through me.

I wish I could give them less stars. My wife and I walked in so we could both get a pair of glasses. As soon as we walked in a woman took our temperature and told us only one of us could be in the store at a time. As I explained we were both customers and looking for glasses, she sat my wife down and only talked to her. So I sat patiently. I watched as an elderly woman of color entered and was rushed through process of picking up glasses and get hurried out the door. As I sit in a chair against a wall, the woman who is supposed to be (but isnt) helping my wife decides to comment on my mask not covering my nose. I couldnt understand why I caught her attention when she was supposed to be helping others who had come into the store. I realized that she also didnt mention mask or the number of people to the two white women that had just entered. As my wife finished her transaction, the woman never extended a salutation. Never asked if I would like help. She said we will call you an walked off. I glad covid-19 is closing places like this. We will never return. Should have went to Walmart...

I would leave no stars if I could!! Absolutely rude and unprofessional!! No excuse for how my 5 year old daughter was spoken too!! I made it clear I would take my business elsewhere !!

Been here a few times use to be the best place to go in town not so much anymore. I will not be going back here again. New glasses fell apart when I went to clean the lenses. Ill be returning them shortly and just go without till I find somewhere that cares about the product they sell.

I had one of the most incredible experiences at my walk-in appointment today. My insurance wasnt going to cover my sudden eye care because of a contact lens accident. I was worried what the bill would be by the end of the visit because I dont have much money. They paid the entire bill for me! I recommend Bard to literally anyone who needs to get their eyes checked, you wont be disappointed.

I wasnt too happy about having to enter the world of wearing glasses everyday, but at least the process of getting wasnt a hassle! I mostly chose bard optical because its the only place in springfield my insurance covered. the only problem I had was scheduling my appointment, it was a month out before I could get worked in. once the day finally came for the appointment it wasnt too bad. I wasnt waiting very long in the lobby before I was called back. the doctor that saw me was wonderful. she talked me through everything and made me feel better about having to get glasses. then it came to picking out frames. I was having the hardest time doing so, and the ladies behind the desk were more than happy to help! Im so glad they did. I will definitely be returning for my future eye appointments!

This is the worst ,most expensive and they lie to get your business. I asked if they had a deal like other eyeglass places, the heavy set black lady takes charge telling me dont worry we got all that too we will get you taken care of after the eye exam...we sat down they wanted 3 to 5 times more than any other place I looked at. They made sure they dupe you to get your money so be careful. I am borderline autistic but I know right from wrong and clearly they dont cause they are mean.

They changed our appointment time without asking us for permission. They will set it on a date that we can’t come in. That drove me crazy.

Got in quickly and the staff was amazing. I couldnt find a sitter for my two year old and four year old and they were great with my kids even though they started showing their butts from getting tired. The guy who did my pre-screening even showed my four year old how to use some of the equipment and print out a report about my eyes. I loved how thorough the exam was and how they treated all of us. I apologised repeatedly for the kids getting grumpy only to be told it was no big deal and they were fine. Will most assuredly be returning.

Bard in lincoln worst place for glasses took 3weeks supposed to be 4days said they were back ordered twice.called on Wednesday said they finally came in .The call came in at 5:00 and they close at 6:00.Said they werent going to be opening backup until April 6.But turn around and call Thursday and said they were open today . So sound to me they dont no what the heck is going on.wont go back.

The worst place in town! Took 2 hours to get in and out not a single one of them knew what they were doing.
