Was originally quoted 600$ total, got a call 2 hours later letting me know that the prices I was shown were wrong and were actually double. And after all that they did not reset my oil timer or give a new mileage sticker and left trash in my truck.

My sales rep. was not very professional he made my experience very stressful and inconvenient. Once I finally received my new vehicle I was informed that they would have to come back and get it to put the options on it that I had been promised. They had not buffed it out so I had streaks all over it. And after driving it for one day, I have a rattle in my dash. So once again I have to wait for someone to come and get and add the things that were promised and serviced. Not what I expected for a brand new car.

Although they didnt have the part needed for the recall on my vehicle, they were able to do the inspection needed to order the part, and I found the waiting room to be very accommodating, with coffee, soft drinks, comfortable chairs spaced with social distancing requirements, everyone masked, and clean restrooms. I will recommend it to my friends.

Extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism I encountered towards the end of my tour checking out and comparing cars that would be a right fit for me. The beginning atmosphere I had with some of the team members was friendly and upbeat when showing me a few cars that I would possibly be interested in. The last car I test drove towards the end of the night, I took to my husband to make sure he liked it as well and the car ended up not being the right fit for everything we wanted overall. After test driving and comparing cars all day that this company had to offer I decided to take a break and possibly come back another day to see what other inventory that might come in the future. After being on my feet all day I was tired and ready to go home with telling the salesmen that I haven’t found the right fit and I wanted a few days to think it over. With that being said the attitude and mannerisms had changed in the salesmen and started receiving backlash over my credit score not being the “best” and being ridiculed over my source of income. Being in my mid 20’s I’m still trying to build credit but I presumed they would work with what I had to offer and point me in the best direction possible that would satisfy both parties. As a young woman that is 7 months pregnant I would like to be vigilant on my decision making process to make sure I’m getting the best arrangement that would fit my family in the safest and most budget friendly way. It really goes to show you that one employee can change way I felt about this dealership and most likely won’t be returning for future purchases.

I recently had work done on my car here, I live 80 miles from this place but broke down in your city so this is where I took my car versus paying $800 to get it home. So my bill came to $1500 which I promptly paid. And before I came to pickup my car I sent you a message asking your company too make sure that someone test drive my car, but of course I don’t believe anyone did so I get 15 miles from home my service engine soon light came on. So I send your company a message letting you know what happen, your guy tells me to take it to autozone get it scanned so I do tell your man and nothing. So my thoughts are to your company is I will never give your place any more business or my money since you weren’t too eager to help me figure out the problem in which l feel if someone would have drove the car more than a moment your tech would have caught. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

My truck has had the Check Engine light on on several occasions. I took my truck into a friend who found my truck had codes which pointed directly to the High pressure fuel pump. I made an appointment at friendlyFeb 10, 2021. George Minor insisted there was nothing wrong with my truck and his mechanic checked the fuel pressure and everything was fine. I asked if we could test the oil and he was extremely rude stating We dont do that here. Are your mechanics aware that checking the fuel pressure is not going to tell you if the fuel is leaking into the oil?Your dealership is much larger then some small auto repair shops yet your staff was not able to determine this. But I was still charged $126!Decided to get another opinion and it turns out my trucks fuel IS leaking into the oil. 3 different mechanics could smell the fuel in the oil. My family and I have purchased several vehicles from Friendly as well as had all service done here as well. With 3 Silverado trucks in my driveway I will gladly be finding a new dealership for future services or vehicle purchases.

I purchased a used 2012 Chevy Silverado back in late October early November. I was extremely happy with the treatment I received during the purchase. However last week I had an issue with my truck. The oil pressure bottomed out and I had to shut the truck down and have it towed. I called ahead to make sure that the Extended Warranty That I was sold would cover the repairs. I spoke with George the mechanic both Finance people the secretary and a janitor because nobody wanted to answer the simple question of does the extended Warranty cover these repairs?. Finally the finance guy that sold me the warranty said yes it will cover it. so I had my truck towed there for the repair. to my surprise I got a call from George and was asked why my truck was there. even after I scheduled the repair he had no idea why it was there. I told him again why it was there and he said he would look into it and call me back with an estimate. I received that call the next day and was told That the entire repair would be over $600 and that my Warranty did not cover any of the Issues. Since I was already on the hook for a tow I told him to fix the faulty sensor and nothing else. I received a call a day and a half later saying my truck was finished and it would be $476.73 cents. For just the sensor! I immediately got on google and researched this repair and for the part was $30 and the average labor cost to replace it was $125. I went in and spoke to a few of the guys ending up back in finance again requesting in writing what exactly the warranty I purchased did cover and they could not or would not produce the information I asked for but assured me I would hear from someone the next day. I went to the back and paid my bill and the guy told me that the repair came with a 2 year warranty. If anything went wrong with it they would replace it for FREE. I should hope so considering they charged me enough to do the job 3 times over. The next day came and went and no call. Once they have your money you dont matter anymore. Ill not buy another vehicle from these people and if you decide to for god sakes dont buy the warranty and take your vehicle to a mechanic that appreciates your business.

I went in today for an oil change and carbon filter change as well. I set my appointment over the phone for 12 o’clock, I figured this would be early enough to get in and out as I did have a wedding to attend 2 hours away and had to be there by 4pm. At that time I was told it would run me about 85$. As I’ve always taken my Chevrolet Equinox to Chevrolet dealers, I’ve gone to Chevrolet in the Quad Cities and Carbondale. My oil changes typically run me about 45$. I questioned the price over the phone but have never had a carbon filter change done before so wasn’t too sure on how that typically charges so I let it go. Upon arrival I did arrive 5 minutes early. I checked in and the gentleman who did check me in wasn’t the most friendly. This is the first time at this location so this wasn’t the greatest first impression. Once I sat in the lounge for an hour and forty five minutes a gentleman noticed I was the only one left in the lounge and told me he is going to go check on my car and to treat myself to the soda / coffee set up. The coffee set up was absolutely disgusting with creamers all spilled in the holder. It had appeared that no one has cleaned anything on this counter in a month. He came back and seemed just as confused as I was on what’s taking too long and said they have it back there and are working on it but didn’t have an update on how much longer. 10 minutes go by and my vehicle is finally finished. We get to the price and he tells me it is 116$. I explained how i was originally quoted 84$ give or take. He pulls out a calculator and starts plugging in random numbers and mumbling under his breath. I work in finances , I know how to add numbers together. All I was wanting was to know what costed what and how we went from 85$ to 116$. He tries to tell me how the system that the people who set up appointments is incorrect and he needs to “fix that”. At this point I’m ready to go , I pay what is needed and am gifted a free car wash which was nice. I unfortunately was not able to make the wedding due to how long things took here. I’m not sure if they are understaffed but I feel like if it was going to take 2 hours to do this , it should have been mentioned at the time of the appointment. I try to support my Chevrolet dealers but this whole appointment was a mess.

Poor customer service and extremely poor communication when dealing with having to replace a transmission on a van I purchased from them after having owned the van for only 45 days. Avoided any contact and only discussed the issue when I would come in. If they told me from the moment I came in they were not going to do much for me it would have been better than what they did. Make it seem as though they were trying to find a solution with no real effort made. They hid behind the fact that a service contract was not purchased even though one was never offered. Buyer beware. Have all vehicles personally inspected by a mechanic prior to purchase and force them to offer you a service contract so they can be held accountable for selling you a lemon!!

Truly cannot speak highly enough of Friendly Chevrolet and their employees! I only come here for any auto needs. Every time I come, every employee is SO nice and welcoming. Their costumer service is amazing. Two weeks ago I left work at 7:15pm and came outside to a flat tire. I instantly called Friendly Chevrolet, not knowing if they would be willing to take a look at it since they closed at 8. I arrived at 7:52pm, and with a quick look by the technician, Donny, he found a screw in my tire. Rich who checked me in, wouldnt let me leave without them fixing it. Within a half hour my tire was patched and fixed. Cant say thank you enough to Rich and Donny who were so nice and so willing to help me even though it was after normal business hours. I always talk so highly about my experiences to friends and family. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Friendly Chevrolet! Thank you!!

I bought a Chevy Silverado and took it on vacation. While on vacation I notice it leaking in the back window. When I got back to Illinois I set up a time to go in for servicing and oil change. The service man walked me out to truck and showed me a dent on the top of the cab right where the tail light is located. The dealership refused to pay for the dent even though I did not cause it. I pleaded with them that it was like that when I bought it, and it was certified when I bought it. I was still under my 12,000 mile or 12 month window but they only offered to pay for half of the damage indicating to me that I could be lying and have caused that dent and acted insulted when I stated that they had missed in during their inspection. Eventually my wife found the only picture of my truck and she took that picture in the lot of Friendly Chevrolet, and the dent is clearly there with a certified sticker under it. The dealership is making me bring in that picture for proof and has not really confirmed that they will assume the whole cost. Depending on how this plays out I may never buy from Friendly Chevrolet and may not buy a Chevy again since the 172 point inspection on my vehicle wasn’t done properly and apparently a warranty from the dealer is a debatable issue. I am insulted. I am not a car guy and it is not my fault I didn’t see the dent, but the dent is causing water to leak in my truck and it should not be an issue since the vehicle was certified.

I wasnt real happy with the service advisor Brandon. Because I dropped the truck off Thursday night for a Friday appointment and no phone call Friday as to the status of my truck. Monday was a holiday and no phone call Tuesday as to the status of my truck and at 10:00 am Wednesday I called them to see what was going on with my truck. And thats when he informed me about what was going on and i askedwhat happened to my phone call Friday and Tuesday? Informed him the best way to keep a customer happy was communication. I was not upset they had kept the truck just that they hadnt informed me of what was going on. He knew I was upset and arranged for $15 off my oil change but i dont feel I should have to tell him how to keep a customer happy.

I wish I could give Negative stars. I paid $120 for a diagnosis that I found out to be wrong after paying to have the part fixed. I replaced a fuel pump that didn’t need to be replaced and my car still has something wrong it and I refuse to pay them any more money to give me the wrong information.

Just would like to say I had my car in for a full service oil change and with in less than twenty four hours later I was standing on the road with a car that wouldn’t work. Had to pay a tow bill of over 400.00 dollars and when I called back that Monday to see if they would help with my car and was told they were not responsible for what happened. I have been a loyal customer for ten years. I have only had my car serviced by them and when my timing belt went out I brought it to them and they did the work. I could have take it some where for probably less but trusted in the care of a dealership and service department. I’m very disappointed in how I have been treated and pretty sure they see that I’m a woman and probably don’t know much about cars so they are just trying to railroad me and think I will give in and just buy another car from them but since I’m an hourly employee and don’t really have the means to be without a car for two weeks while mine gets fixed and was offered no help or alternative options I really feel deflated.

Deceptive Practices comes to mind when dealing with this place. We had a car picked out and price negotiated but presumably since we had preapproval,no money down,and no trade that must have changed things they had even talked to the finance people and still tried to run another credit approval. Our negotiated 12,500 car had went to 13,900. Clearly they not only didnt know what they were doing or who they were dealing with they were trying to get some money out of the deal at all costs. We went back to Smokey Jennings and the treated us awesome as usual! No more shopping around for us!

I had an impressively positive experience with this dealership. 100 miles into a 500-mile trip from St. Louis to Green Bay, my car developed a severe problem that jeopardized my holiday travel plans. Being two days before Thanksgiving, I assumed no one would have time to fix it, and that I would be stranded in Springfield for the week, or have to tow it back to St. Louis.
