Feels more like a convenience store than a bar. Just saying... Oh and they dont have much food. Only pizzas.

Was an OK visit. Small selection of beers for purchase in the Fridges. Not terrible. There were some more difficult to find brews there. Staff was very pleasant. Just one dude who seemed pretty nice. Haha... My MAIN concern was one of the to-go beers I got from their fridge. It had MOLD on it. Asked the guy if it was gonna be ok. He looked and it didnt have an Exp date or even a Brewed On date. He said It should be fine. He washed the bottle off and sold to me. It was a $15 Breakside Brew 22oz... SKUNKY AS H#LL. Was pretty bummed, cause the brew is normally pretty amazing. So I got to put that on the venue that left that old moldy beer in their fridge to sell to me... Ill give it another try one day...

Go in and have a drink, or fill a crowler/growler. HuUuUuge selection, nice atmosphere Nd friendly folks. They even have a board where you can leave a drink for someone who couldnt come right then. GREAT place, good prices

Ken is awesome for one . And second of all he always has the best selection of beer around . Not to mention the tap list shows how full the kegs are so if you want something thats just barely tapped or you dont want the end of keg then boom there ya go . They also do crowlers (32 oz canned growlers) to go !! There perfect for the river or beach etc .

Tried this place for the first time today in our Pint Passport. Beyond the front doors opens to a clean, comfortable brewhouse feel. Bartender was friendly and had a great Pelican pint with a friend and enjoyed it! Will return!

Great beers, tons of variety, and friendly service. Only downsides are limited seating, small parking lot, and that they allow kids inside. If youre coming to get a growler filled and then leaving, its a great choice on a main thoroughfare. If youre planning to hang out, its not as geared for that as a lot of other places in town.

This place has a great selection of beers and quite a few ciders as well! I like both and its harder to find ciders on tap. The owner is really chill and nice and the place has a really relaxed vibe.

Only been a few times but always great service and explanations about the selections which update. Will be in tomorrow for a couple growlers so. See ya soon!

Decent beer. Less than great service both times visited. The lighting is terrible, too bright... excellent for interrogations! I asked for a taster and the guy looked at me like I was speaking in tongues. Industry standard, guys... I get that you’re small and tasters can take a chunk of the profits, but at least come up with a better way to handle the question. Can’t say I’ll be back for a third try.

This place is great for a quick hop in for a beer/cider fill and a drink (lots of up to date selection). REALLY Friendly staff (Hey Cat...You Rock!!) The owner was there and said hey and thanked us for coming in... hand shuffle board to play on.. Tv-sports on three T.Vs.. and did i mention a Friendly Staff!! This place rocks Every time we go...

Great place! Ken is always fun to talk to. Me and some Co workers go everyday after work for a quick beer and relaxation. I suggest joining the tall boy club to reap the benefits.

Ken asked about my day and I told him about my impending divorce. He hooked me up with a beer on the house. But also , he showed me much compassion, continuing to converse with me. It Gave me hope for the rest of the day and I felt a little more faith in humanity. Thanks Ken.

Owner operated and Every micro and cider youd ever want. Shuffle-board, small room great to book for small party. Nice addition for a thirsty Thurston.

We love this place except for one thing, there should be an age limit of 16 or older on minors. The last thing most adults want to do when they want to go drink an adult beverage is to be around someone else’s muchkins running around the place. There is a pretty specific clique of families who feel it’s the cool thing to do to bring their kids down to here so they can be around a bunch of adults who are drinking. Plus, these same families think it’s cute to let their kids run around all over the place. It makes it very hard to come down here sometimes.

Nice local spot. Cozy better then average drunk selection. Food menu was small enough to say they dont really highlight food or snacks

These guys did a free barbecue the Sunday before Memorial Day! Really awesome gesture for the community, so made me a fan. Good selection of taps and bottles too!

Friendly owner and staff. Good beer. Lots of selection with lots of different IPAs. Allows food from outside sources e.g. the toxic wing trailer outdide. Most drafts are $4.50. Closes 9 on weekdays and 10 on weekends.

Whenever Ive been at the McKenzie River Taphouse, the customer service has been five star. Its so exciting to see a local business thrive and grow. The aesthetic of the Taphouse is a little sparse, but slowly but surely they have been adding decor to the space, making it more welcoming and friendly. The food could use a little work, but lets be honest, youre here for the beer. The selection ranges from week to week. A new drink replacing those that ran dry the previous week. Usually your choices are listed on an iPad. One or two porters, and Cider selections along with some non-alcoholic kombucha are normally available. If youre looking for somewhere to grab a drink and watch the game in good company then the McKenzie River Taphouse is the place to be.
