The Springfield, IL location of Friar Tuck is great for finding beers that arent distributed in Missouri. Prices are mostly fair.

People that work here are always down to earth and friendly. Its actually relaxing to shop here.

I have been desperately looking for a specific wine. I found it here! The wine selection is unlike anything Ive seen. Brian was very helpful and informative. He made my selection much easier! I will be back. Worth the long drive for me.

A local favorite with a large selection of wines you are sure to find one you will enjoy. There are cigars and other gifts.It is a well stocked with wines, liquors and other spirits. You will find selections grouped together by type so you do not have to search the whole store for your favorite.Ask any clerk about your selections they can assist you and even point out the many locally sourced wines in our area.

One of my favorite places before COVID. Usually a great selection of craft beer and bourbon but today was lower on stock. The outside vendors were having mask issues. Highly recommend and hope to give five stars the next time.

There is the widest selection of alcohol I’ve ever seen. I don’t drink alcohol, but I came here to buy for family. I would recommend for anyone who drinks alcohol or is gifting it to others like ourselves. Side note: you also get a $5 discount for writing a review. I wrote this as I’m checking and the cashier basically told me I’m out of luck for the discount- don’t advertise for something your not giving out!

Love this place! Trisha, the manager is so helpful. She always has great suggestions of new wines to try. The store is never crazy busy, so if you do have a question, its very easy to find someone. The Saturday tastings are fun too, and informative!

I went in today and was looking for a certain product. It was out. I asked a employee Nick and he was so helpful. He went in the back and found me a six pack. Then as I was in the check out line the cashier Chad was amazing as well. There were 2 people in front of me and his great charisma made everyone smile. It was great.

There are two alcohol mega marts in Springfield. While this is not my favorite, theres little bad to say about them. Were it not for Binnys, these guys would be untouchable as the best place to buy alcohol in Springfield.Selection: This is wonderful. They have a huge selection, not just varieties of alcohol, but covering a large spectrum of pricing as well.Staff: Staff here are always friendly, helpful, and seemingly very knowledgeable about their products. In my personal experience, the staff here is actually better than Binnys and I think that says a lot as Binnys staff are above average.Pricing: this is where Binnys seems to have them beat. We cross shop these stores frequently and almost every time, Binnys is cheaper.All in all, a great place to buy alcohol!

A large store with a wide selection of wine, beer, and spirits. They also offer the widest selection of minis that I have seen in the springfield area as well as various starter equipment for home brew kits.

Same experience as another reviewer here, tried to return old (years expired) beer and was greeted with rude manager Trisha who refused to do a return. She clearly has no business being in the position she is in. After swearing off of this place for a couple years, we reluctantly returned tonight and roughly 3/4 of the beer we looked at was past the best by date. This is a unsurprising continued failure of their management. Save yourself the trouble and head to Binnys.
