Was driving through the town on my way to Texas and just by happenstance stopped at this shop to resolve a tire pressure alert. They didn’t charge me for resolving the error and made sure my tires were fine before I left. Didn’t even take a tip! Unfortunately in a hurry, I forgot to collect the key fob from the mechanic and was almost half way to Texas before realizing it. They were kind enough to mail the key all the way to Texas. Couldn’t have asked for more! Just shows their integrity and honesty. Kudos to them and highly recommend based on my experience!! (Special thanks to Brittany at the front desk for getting me my key, saved me a good $300)

I dont live in Springfield but I have a family member that does. When their vehicle broke down, I needed to find a repair shop that (1) I felt was going to diagnose the problem and fix only what needed to be fixed. They wouldnt take advantage of the fact that I couldnt be there in person and find other things that needed to be repaired. (2) charged a fair price. (3) I could work with them easily over the phone (4) Could fix the vehicle in a timely manner. T&B is that kind of place. Im a AAA member and I looked into the repair shops AAA recommended, and also offered a 10% discount for members. After calling those AAA recommended repair shops, I felt that they didnt meet my requirements. I highly recommend T&B if you are in the Springfield area. Another thing to add to this review is that the family member said they were very courteous and had a nice, clean waiting room when they went to the shop to pick up their car.

I was referred here by someone and Im SO glad I was! I panic whenever anything goes wrong with the car. I dont know much about cars and, to be honest, we do not have hardly extra money to be repairing our car all the time. I had been told by another shop that I had an oil leak but I ended up here and Brittany was the SWEETEST! She was so kind, understanding, and easy to talk to. I just walked in with no appt, hoping to find out where this mysterious leak was and they were able to fit me right in. Really nice waiting area, incredible mechanics and office manager! Ive had experience with shops taking advantage of me financially, but these guys are by far the most kind, caring, and TRULY honest. They told me that there wasnt a leak and even showed me everything while my car was on the lift. After coming from somewhere that said that I had a serious oil leak, I was able to breathe again! I moved to Springfield from Panama last year and bought a 2007 pickup truck, which I had serviced at a local tire store. However, as the business does only minor automotive work, I asked for a recommendation for a mechanic. A fellow at the tire shop there gave me a business card from T&B Automotive Repair. Of course, I checked out the latter shop’s reviews and was impressed by the 100 percent 5-star score, as well as the customer comments. Recently, I had to replace a knock sensor, timing belt and water pump on the pickup. I took it into T&B, met the owner, Brian Laib, and he explained what needed to be done and the estimated cost. Two workdays later, I got my truck back. The total cost of parts and labor was about $400 less than I had anticipated having to pay when researching online. Clearly, Brian and his team are proud of the work they do and their hard-won reputation. As a result, T&B is successful and highly profitable not by overcharging or deceiving customers, as we know too many shops do, but by offering excellent work at a more than fair price. I recently just moved to the area, had car trouble. I called this business and the kindest receptionist answered (Brittany). She was just as worried about my car as I was. So yes, I took my car there for repair. Turns out my axial need replacing. Brian the mechanic ordered my part and had me up and running 2 days later. He gave me so much info about my car, he took time to explain what was wrong and what he did to fix my car. This business made me feel so comfortable. Plus the knowledge they gave me was priceless. Stayed in Springfield for a day off the road on the way to Denver. When pulling into the RV park, I heard an awful squealing and assumed the fan belt. Called T&B the next morning and talked with Brittany. They were able to work me in that day. Only spent about 2 hours in the shop waiting room while Marc diagnosed the issue (fan belt tension pulley) and repaired. Great folks to chat with while waiting and probably the most comfortable shop waiting room Ive experienced. Thanks, T&B!

Took a little longer than expected but they did fix my car

Let me start by saying that I was already impressed from their five-star rating already (not including this review). I had never been here before and I called/emailed numerous places to get estimates for repairs. T&B Auto was the first one to respond to my email and the first to call me with estimates BEFORE I even took my car in for them to visually inspect it. Their estimate was fair and in line with what I was actually charged when they could actually look at my vehicle to confirm their initial estimate. I was beyond impressed by the level of service, communication and skill this place has. Never before have I encountered such genuinely friendly staff. Brian communicated every step of the repair with me for my familys main vehicle. He even stayed late beyond when they closed so that I didnt have to wait outside for my ride to come pick me up after dropping off the vehicle. Brian even pulled me into the garage to visually show me where the issues were while it was on the lift, the steps they took to fix it and then some. Wow! What a gesture of trust! I am BEYOND impressed with this place and highly recommend it. So glad I found them and I will ABSOLUTELY be back for any future car maintenance needs to arise in the future. This place is GOLD. You need to take your car here if you want fair prices, amazing service and mechanics you can trust.

I am really glad that I found these guys. I have a Nissan Titan that was lifted by the previous owner and have had nothing but trouble with it since I bought it. After visiting 4 other mechanics and spending $1000+ with out having the problem fixed, I decided to give T & B a shot. I am sure glad that I did! Services performed: Transmission rebuild, oil change, vehicle inspection.I drove my truck back from Kansas City in June and had some serious transmission issues. I let the truck sit until December as I had another vehicle to drive temporarily. I called on Dec 12th and they agreed that if I could get my truck in by Dec 14th it would be done before Christmas. I couldnt really make it, but had the truck there the following Monday. They still had it to me by Thursday of that week!The price of the repair was really reasonable and lower than many other suggested shops in Springfield. When I arrived to pay and pick up Brian took me to the shop area to show me everything he did and explain why he did it. They replaced parts that he said are often salvaged, explains fully why mine couldnt be, but none of that affected the quoted price. As my truck has sat for so long it had a serious pollen build up on the outside and green mold inside from the moisture. I was taking the vehicle to be cleaned right after this repair. When I showed up Brian had also washed the outside and vacuumed up inside making my cleaning even easier.This is one of the only shops I have ever been to that honors their price quote and does little things that improve their level of service to the customer. I highly recommend T and B Auto to anyone, especially GM/Chevy owners.Awesome experience, no surprises when paying. 10/10 will absolutely use them again.
