Took my car in for and oil change and to have them take a peak at a lightbulb that was burnt out that they replaced less than 6 months ago. They called me 4 hours later telling me I needed to replace both headlight assemblies and it was 400 an assembly and 200 in labor. I of course was like no I came in for an oil change and for you guys to take a peak at a warranty on a headlight. The dude was extremely rude and actually hung up on me. I called back to be greeted by rob the owner who told me to get my car I owed them 260 dollars mind you I came in for a 61 dollar oil change. I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the only place on this side of the Mississippi. BE AWARE THEY WILL THROW IN LABOR COSTS FOR LOOKING AT PREVIOUS WORK!!! What a joke of an establishment .

Ive taken my car to this shop multiple times, and they always do great work. Dave worked on my car the last time, and though he was busy, he took the time to explain the issue and offer me recommendations. Always good service here at a more than fair price. Highly recommended!

Sorry to say but i cant see how they are able to keep a safety inspection license when they tell customers they cant get to it till Monday when by the rules they are to have someone available to do them . According to the rules. Guess they should check the rule book..

They were fantastic! My battery completely died with all this cold weather. Triple A wasn’t able to access my battery or replace it, they were able to tow it to Kwik Kar. I called and explained what has happening, the guy ( I think his name is Ty) also made sure I wasn’t stuck somewhere with all this snow. I also mentioned that I needed an oil change & had a low tire. He made sure to call and update me on what was happening and pricing before working on my car. Ty had my car done within 4-5 hours of me having it towed, & they even tried to fix my broken passenger side mirror. 😂😂 I didn’t mention this to Ty but you guys definitely went above and beyond my expectations to make sure that my car was taken care of & that I was safe during this crazy snow. I appreciate you all.

For how busy this place is, they were very efficient! I had an awesome tech, he communicated well even when I had a hiccup with my oil change. He offered me options to repair my stripped oil plug and laid the cost out front and even saved me some $$. I would definitely recommend this place for routine maintenance.

I have been to Kwik kar several times over the past year for just regular car issues and touch ups. They are always fast, efficient and very nice. They take no time to fix my issues! I couldn’t have better things to say. I recommended them to my boyfriend and now he uses them too!

I have visited this service shop multiple times for oil changes over the past couple years and it’s always a great experience. We do the synthetic oil for our vehicle, runs about $48 for our Nissan Altima and it’s always a quality oil change. We do a ton of highway driving, so it’s great to know we have a home shop we can continuously revisit every time we’re looking for maintenance on the car. Wait is never too bad either, but they’re typically pretty up front if it’ll be 45 minutes or beyond that so you can prepare accordingly.

Absolutely terrible!!! We paid $50 for an oil change only to find out they didnt even change the oil. They slapped a new filter in there and went on with their day. We checked our oil 5 months later and it is black as can be and very clearly was not changed nor was it the brand they claimed to have used. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVER GOING HERE.

I dont usually write reviews but this just kinda did it for me. None of the guys were wearing a mask there (not at the counter, in MY car, and definitely not while they were looking at the car, and when they talked to other customers), they had no coverings on the seats and steering wheel when they entered my car like the Jiffy Lube on Campbell, they were not washing their hands regularly.Granted, the guys were fair and gave me a good price, but as someone who is high risk and is around older people, I dont think Ill ever do business here. I know this sounds like griping, but its not only the law but its also the right thing to do. Things like that really shows how much they care about their customers. Change this policy because you care about the health of your customers, not your pocketbook.

DO NOT GO HERE! I paid them to change my timing belt. My engine light was back on within a day. Then I took my car back and they said I needed a new engine. They quoted me over $5,000. I decided to sell my car to a mechanic. He told me that the timing belt had NEVER BEEN CHANGED. I called them to try and get my money back but “they have no record of ever doing that”. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Spent $1,300.00 to get my truck back only to have the check engine light still on and it died on me twice so called them to let them know it was still running bad and expected me to spend more money to try and fix what they couldnt fix the first time they had it! I wont be back and I will turn business away any chance I can get! Do not go to this company!

I walked in and asked them to check my transmission fluid. The man asked what was going on with my car so I told him. Turns out he decided to do a bunch of stuff I didn’t ask him to do and didn’t tell me he was going to do. Needed one small thing checked and paid $42. Definitely won’t be returning.Their response, unfortunately, is a blatant lie. I can’t believe the poor morals of this place. I never asked for or approved anything to be done other than the checking of my transmission fluid as I just wanted to make sure that this, specifically, wasn’t the issue. Scum 👎🏼

They had me in and out quickly and they were very kind and their price is so very reasonable.

Went there for an inspection for my truck. They failed me no big deal right i need new ball joints upper lower on both sides..they priced me 1500$ I just orderd the parts offline 111$ plus tax ... Thats 1300 in labor i also called family auto and they priced me 550 i think i asked if i could bring my own parts they said yes labor was 350 give or take a couple dollars so you do the math will never return to this place

We arrived 25 minutes before they closed and they still took our car for an oil change. They were done in 8 minutes and gave us an estimate for new tires. WOW. Quick, very professional, and very nice. Will be back again soon

They did not put my oil filter back on correctly and I had a leak. they also did not put all the screws back in the plate that covers the bottom of my vehicle that had to be removed to change the oil. Really sad you take advantage of women.

Kwik services, as long as you talk to an employee that ISNT a mechanic that answers the phone.... My vehicle failed inspection, but for around $250 I could be back on the road... I called the shop the next day to make an appointment and speed up the process... When I arrived, no one knew I had even called.... Used this Kwik Kar location to get my oil changed 3 times now, and every time I had quick and friendly service. This time that I took it in to get it changed, I needed a tire to be patched too. The employee that took care of my oil change said they did not patch tires at Kwik Kar, but their sister shop across the street did. After the oil change, he called their sister shop to see if they were available to patch my tire, and it turned out they were super busy. He took the time to take my car over there himself and patch the tire so I did not have to wait! EXCEPTIONAL service! I wish I had asked his name, but he was absolutely fantastic and I will definitely continue to do business with this place. Thank you so much!

This company is, in fact, the business which separates itself from others for having the best customer service. I lived in Springfield for a few years and they took great care of my automotive needs at the lowest cost. If I had a problem a week after my truck was fixed, they would resolve the concern and stand by their word. My truck has not experienced an unresolved concern, but I trust they would always resolve any concern at the lowest level possible. The prices are competitive and the positive environment they have reflect their heart to serving others in their community.Unfortunately the Army moved me away from Springfield, however, I will continue to use this company for any of my major work done my truck. One of few old fashioned service shops around! My goodness you can’t name another in the area that cleans your windows and vacuums after they get in for just an “oil change”. With one of the most respectable owners I’ve met and one best guys running it you can’t beat it. And you definitely can’t forget about two of the best mechanics around Paul and David!

Wife and I have both gotten car inspections here. Both times were great with no issues. I’ve seen so many places in my lifetime use inspections as a chance to lie and replace things that aren’t broken. No signs of that here. I do all my own mechanic work so I can’t really comment on theirs. But I can say honesty is a great quality in a mechanic and I see that displayed here. See y’all again in a couple years!Also, there is a Subway and an Arby’s super close that you can walk to while you wait.

This is the first time I feel like someone has attempted to scam me. But today this shop tries to tell me my ball joints are bad and gun needs replaced and I then had a slight give to my tire that I know physically was not there. Then tried to show me by testing my ball joints while my truck was still on the ground.Like really brother? Then says 1,385 bucks to get it fixed when I know without a doubt it wasn’t messed up. Friend that have done vehicle work for 20 years plus would of never let me go around with that plus I didn’t hear or feel anything wrong with my front axel ever. I’ve only had the truck one year with 130k miles on it. So I’ll just take it to the dealership where I got it and get it inspected. But with my previous broke down car that they passed constantly. I just couldn’t believe it and my family and will not be returning to this shop. Learned a valuable lesson today.

We love this place. My husband drove 70,000 miles a year and we have had our share of problems. They are great! They are fast, intelligent and we trust there diagnosis. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Price was pretty I guess I should’ve asked before I made the appointment. When I did ask he said it was their full-service oil change which consisted of topping off all fluids and vacuuming the carpets. However I have weather tech floor mats in the entire car and they were never touched with the vacuum!! My advice would be to make sure you know what you’re getting before you go

As a pizza delivery driver, who puts tons of wear and tear on my vehicle, and after going to plenty of other shops around town, this is the only place in Springfield Ill still go back to. They are honest, explain your options, and I even had them take care of a problem for me for FREE along with an oil change because it was such a simple fix. Their costs for everything Ive had done have been significantly less than most of the major shops in town, and they are more trustworthy than the smaller shops Ive been.They are professional and treat their customers well from what Ive seen every time I wait for an oil change. Having been to 8-10 other shops in this city, they are the best. Thanks guys!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Myself and all of my family normally go here to get our car fixed they are normally friendly and fast work. I dropped my car off yesterday early morning and was told that they had to order a part but not to worry will be there no later than 1 pm today. So I called around 2 pm to check the status reach a person by the name of Paul that claims to be the highest manager in kwik kar under the owner who would t be in until Monday. For Paul to tell me they don’t have my part and MAY get it by 3 but even if they get it by 3 not sure if they can do the work today because they close at 4pm and it’s an hour job. Ummm excuse me if you get a part in at 3 and have to spend an extra 15 minutes after shift to finish something that should have already been done what’s the issue? I work In Customer service and have spent an hour after my shift to make sure the customer is taken care of. Then I ask if there is anything they can do as far as compensation because you’ve had my car for almost 48 hours and I have to get to work tomorrow he tells me “it’s not our fault if the part isn’t here and I would just come pick up your car” WTF TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT? WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR BACK HERE NOR REFFER ANYONE ELSE AND TELL ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO STOP DOING BUSINESS. I’m sure Paul won’t mind though. Worst experience I have ever had dealing with a repair shop.

Had a tire going flat. Went ahead and got 4 new tires put on. 1 hr in and out. $15 a tire to install tires I had purchased elsewhere. Very cheap and very nice people.

Extremely rude and doesnt stand behind valuing the customer. Never heard of the customer is always right!Why would I bring a brand new vehicle back after a simple oil change? With the quarts of oil all over my driveway the average person would believe that there must be a bigger issue! And of course under warranty why would I not take it to a dealer first the repair to be covered. They then do diagnostics only to find out that your establishment who did the oil change put the wrong size O ring on. Yes you did refund my oil change but refused to cover the other expenses that were clearly stated on the receipt from the dealer that was presented to you. You didnt check your work and tried to insult me on the phone. I just figured it is not worth my time or effort to fight with you when I see how you treat your customers.

I called at one oclock to ask if they could do a state inspection today. They told me they would be able at 2pm. Got there at two oclock only to be told not today man. I suggest not wasting your time and gas to take your car there, even if they say they can do it over the phone.

Good for very basic things, inspection, oil change, tire rotation, brake pads, but anything more and Im not going to leave my car here. They dont try to cheat you, but they tent to take longer than they should. I avoid them for anything serious. Now typically I do my own work, but when I am unable to because of time or tools, this isnt the place I choose to have do my work.

I have a work truck with this company in springfeild mo. They have us change oil and service it at this place. I ideally change oil myself but I tried them out a few times and when I got my receipt my employer was charged for things they didnt do.ihad unistrut on my ladder rack they raised the hood put two dents and chipped the paint right in front of me. We were eye to eye .never got appology. Billed me. Sent me on my way. I told all the employees they need to quit useing them for buisness. I dont advise anybody to use themSimple as that. Well Rob wanted me to call him back the problem. I did. They wanted to put me on hold for a couple minutes. They dont need to talk to me they need to talk to the company that owned the truck. They know who it is cause the company called me about it. I work nights rob. Dont have time to be put on hold.

I will always bring my car here for anything these guys do. They are fast, clean, and honest about repairs that need to be done. I dont think I have ever had to wait more than 30 minutes for an oil change and they dont try to guilt you into the this is the worst air filter Ive ever seen upgrade.

I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment to have a set of tires installed which had been pre-ordered through Eric a day in advance. The fellow behind the counter was confused that I even had an appointment and once he had the information up on his screen (a couple of minutes) it became clear that he had no tires. Then the excuse that the truck coming in had broke down and would not be arriving for maybe 1 or 1.5 hours or longer (no clarity). The second fellow behind the counter made a joke that the truck had probably had a flat tire and both had a good laugh. At no time was there concern for my situation, nor did they ask to reschedule the appointment, and the inference was that this situation was my fault because I did not call before coming to my appointment. Result - I cancelled the appointment and also the order for a set of tires and resolved that I do not have to business with someone that does not care. Further I would recommend to anyone considering this company for work should consider carefully.Follow-up: Still did not hear anything from the owners response that he cared. The correction would have been a simple sorry sir situation outside of our control can we reschedule. Of course they the two fellows behind the counter were too busy having a laugh at my expense.

This company wouldnt have even received one star except for, I couldnt figure out how to give them half a star.Ive been here three times now and was turned away every single time for a vehicle inspection witch Im pretty sure goes against the guidelines they are supposed to follow having a license to do inspections.Just some clarification.They were very friendly but failed to perform!

Had a dead battery in my car. Initially took it to Pep Boys because it was Sunday night and nothing else was open. They tested my battery and said it was a good battery. The service tech said the alternator was bad and recommended a diagnostic. I opted to get a jump from them and took my vehicle to Kwik Kar the next morning.Paul was very helpful and even got a local auto parts store I got the battery from initially to honor the warranty ( I didnt have the receipt anymore). He called and spoke with them on the phone, had me in and out in no time, and only charged a minimal fee.I have yet to have a bad experience with this shop, and have been going here for many years.Thank you again Paul!

I have been going to Kwik Kar for 4 years for service on my vehicles. They took care of my 90s pickup just as fast as my wifes 03 buick. I have gotten many oil changes, brakes, and inspections. They have been straight, explained unexpected events (brake rotor took a turn for the worse) and provided advice and solutions. They are my go to people for car service.

All the guys are nice they do a great job and are pretty reasonable on their prices

I only can give 3 stars cause the last time i went to kwik kar to have my oil changed. The oil filter wasnt screwed all the way down. It leaked oil so bad that when my car quit running i had my mechanic look it over. He said when he removed my starter it actually had oil dripping out of it. (My starter was only 1 year old at the time my car quit running) i havent ever been back other than to get my car inspected. I also noticed prior to my car breaking down. That when i had my oil changed they would give me a check list saying the wondows had been cleaned and the carpet had been vacuumed. Needless to say that never actually occurred. The staff however is knowledgeable and courteous. Thats the only reason i still have my vehicle inspected here.
