(even if youve been two other places, check with them before having work done!)They dont do JUST transmission work (They did front passenger wheel bearing/hub for me on my 4wheel drive!)

I was referred to them by a couple different other businesses. That in itself says a lot about them. They saved me hundreds of dollars and had me on my way in on one days work. Definitely will be using their services on a regular basis.

Ive taken my truck there twice. Both times they were friendly and honest. Fixed what was wrong, and didnt overcharge.

I had a transmission leak, took to SF Ford who wanted to charge me $663 for a $100 worth of parts and over bill time at 3hrs. I called Around and Todd Egge was super kind and sympathetic to my need to have it repaired ASAP so I could go to ND for my moms funeral. He got me in right away, and also fixed the rear pinion seal and looked at additional issue which can wait until I come back. I can never express my gratitude enough! Thank you Todd, and crew! 5 stars for Jay Egge Auto ! They were able to get me in and do a quick analysis of my transmission. That was not my issue with my car, but they took the time and looked at the whole engine, not just the transmission. i will be going back if i do need transmission work !

I honestly cant say enough about my experience with Jay Egge. I had the worst breakdown possible and was lucky enough to find myself and my car at Jay Egge. Todd is truly a rare breed. As someone who was traveling and needed to get my car fixed back back on the road asap, I think most people would have taken advantage of me and the situation and charged me quite a bit more for the services needed. Needless to say, that wasnt the case with Todd; From offering to let me use one of his vehicles to get around and even to pay for a meal if needed... its just a incredible level of kindness and consideration and thats not even taking into account what they accomplished with my car in such a short period of time.Thank you again, Todd and of course extends the amazing mechanics you have at your shop.

Great place

Egge is the most respected and honest mechanic I have ever come across. He is a very personal gentleman and goes the extra mile to take care of his customers. Im not expert in transmissions and he can dumb it down for me so I can somewhat understand the issue with my transmission without making me feel awkward. I will always take my vehicles to Egge for any work that needs completed. I think by the number of car/trucks that he has in his lot speaks volumes of his passion and expertise. Hes the flyboy donuts of transmissions.

Love them, taken 3 transmissions down there(2 for friends) and have always had good results. The 2 for friends were 4L60Es so obviously we asked them to build them up for us so they wouldnt die in 20 miles like factory. They have lots of experience and know what parts work and what dont and have very quick and friendly service.

I was passing through town and had what I thought was a serious transmission issue. The man behind the counter immediately took my vehicle for a test ride and told me the issue was probably a clogged catalytic converted. He could have easily told me it was a major transmission problem and charged me thousands of dollars. Because of his honesty and integrity it only cost me $200 to have my converter replaced (at someone elses shop). I would certainly used them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Great place. They have fixed transmissions on my musclecar, RV, and kid carrier. Will most likely be the best price in town and they wont sell you anything you dont absolutely need. I would and have recommended them to all of my friends and family.

I had the transmission on my 2005 Impala rebuilt by Jay Egge in 2015. He told me well, its good for another 150,000 miles, which at the time I didnt take seriously, but I think Jay was totally serious about this! I had more transmission problems just recently in October, 2018 and when I took my car back, was worried that the bill was going to be awful. Jay told me dont worry, ill take care of you, but that could mean something totally different to Jay than it does to me....needless to say, when I picked up my car from being repaired, Jay was more than fair with me and only charged me for parts--no labor! I cant thank Jay Egge enough for truly taking care of me and standing by their work.

Terrible service! Paid almost #5000 to have my transmission replaced. Came home to find it leaking, returned multiple times to be pushed off by staff, told it must be condensation from the air conditioning, they kept my car over night and said it wasnt leaking, wasnt until my husband climbed under the car and took pictures of the leaking transmission fluid that they finally fixed the problem. Rude, condesending, sexist, jerks. It has been two years and Im still mad at how rude they were, I tell everyone I know not to go here.

Had these guys rebuild a transmission for me, it was done in a timely manner, no bs about pricing and it was good service.

Our transmission died between Sioux City and Sioux Falls. Late on a Saturday (on our way home to Boise) . Tod got on it first thing Monday morning and had a factory re-built transmission on its way overnight. . We where back on the road within a few days, an our total bill was less than my regular mechanic back home estimated it should cost.. Everyone in town that we told our story to knew of Jay Egges and had nothing but great things to say about them. . I HIGHLY recommend Jay Egges.
