On a fateful cold rainy Friday October night at 1 am my car started overheating in the jack in the box drive Thur as I was picking up a DoorDash order for $5.75 . I had no choice but to cancel and sleep in front of Compton lumber as all my friends where either drunk or asleep.Thankfully the staff at Compton Lumber were welcoming as they gave me water and allowed me to use the restroom.I’m grateful to Gabe Stern and all the staff here at Compton Lumber.Thank you guys for your Hospitality and the understanding of my situation.

My experience with Compton Lumber has been the best I could ask for! I was doing a siding job and building a new deck. With Compton Lumber I had the best verity and options for both siding and lumber to choose from with competitive prices and great delivery time, this is the only place i will go to for all my hardware needs. I highly recommend Compton Lumber and will never go else where.

They advertise they sell Milgard windows they dont !! They try to sale you another brand one instead.They do the same thing with composite decking show you a high price one and try to give you a bottom tier at the same priceIt is sad but this place is going down hill fast

I have been shopping with Compton Lumber for over 20 years. I was bidding on a large project, after checking around. They were able to save me a significant amount of money and offer me a higher quality of material. There deliveries and customer service is always at the highest level. They have the greatest team in the City of Seattle. It is like my home away from home.

The personal at this Seattle location are pretty polite and I like this Lumber store but, the problem at this time is, they dont have much in stock. What their Website shows and what they have on hand is disappointing. Didnt want to do business with big Box Stores, came all the way in from Redmond for nothing. I hope they get it together soon.

I am from Phoenix area and i am a general contractor. I had a project to do in the Seattle area. I needed some doors, windows and custom milling for this large project. I checked with two other lumberyards but neither had a mill shop. I didnt know Compton Lumber from Adam. They treated me like i was one of the guys. This is a true lumber yard that caters primarily to construction professionals or competent do-it-yourself homeowners. Their costs are a little higher than some, but they make up for it in service and quality of materials. They have a great selection of hardware and tools in their showroom (tools that professionals want to use, not the cheap stuff you see at box stores). They have their own door shop and an extensive INDOOR lumberyard. This place has been around so long, they literally help build Seattle, they have the pictures to prove it. I go out of my way to shop here. They do deliver, for a fee. Just be aware that they only provide a drop and go delivery, they do not have on board forklifts like some lumberyards.

Hitting my 20 year mark working almost exclusively with Compton. When you have relationships with staff that have been there for 20+ years, and employees come back after they try new careers, that says something about how they foster relationships within the company as well as with their clients. When I see someone post negative comments I cant help but think that someone was having a bad day or even a bad attitude in general. I believe the respect you get is equal to the respect you show.

As a Lead carpenter at a local hospital I suffered thru 10+ years hoping Compton Lumber would value our business and become a partner I could count on. They were unreliable and lacked good communication skills. I eventually moved on to a lumber yard that valued our business. I dont believe in rewarding a company with business for poor practice.

I come with a project in mind and leave with the correct materials to complete the job.
