This is a great game store. Nicole was really helpful and went out of her way to show us and our visitors all the different games the store had. She explained and asked us great questions. It’s really cool to have this store but it can be overwhelming not knowing which game to choose. Nicole helped us in that process. We rented several games and will be back to purchase and rent more. Loved it. Though the trek from Seattle to West Seattle has been ruined by the city council we know and... I would easily plan ahead and go back to Meeples Games. Their game library and general selection is something Mox could learn from. Great games to rent and try out and their pay by the hour table policy keeps the business and patrons in mind. We had no problem paying for our time there and definitely plan on coming back again.

I recently got back into MTG after having not participated in several years. Meeples has been by far the best Friendly Local Game Shop Ive been to in a long time. They have a super knowledgeable staff, are very helpful and very prompt about answering any and all questions. I cant wait for in person events to be safe again, and plan on frequently visiting Meeples! Until then, their website and customer service over the phone has been fantastic and I will continue to shop here!

What a wonderful little discovery! This shop has a nice variety of games, miniatures, and paints. The staff were helpful and friendly without being intrusive. I ended up spending more than I was expecting and Ill definitely be back soon!

Their staff is both incredibly personable and knowledgeable, and very ready to help and enthuse about the products they serve.Many game stores host quite the varied inventory, but few Ive patroned can rival Meeples atmosphere as a casual and comfortable gaming locale. The store has an intuitive and clean, yet creative layout, and beautifully balances function and aesthetic. Where most game stores place their events in the middle of an open floor, Meeples smartly offers separate areas for their events and sit-in cafe on opposite sides of the store, ensuring minimal noise crossover between their varied patrons.Speaking of events, Meeples caters to an active community and hosts at least one event on a regular schedule each night of the week. Mindful of that community, their events are as varied as the taste of their customer base. Patrons can also find multiple community corkboards offering geek-specific services and LFG requests; additionally, an employee mentioned to me that they have a Discord server.Their cafe serves a diverse variety of drinks (alcohol and otherwise), and the cafes menu offers a moderate, but assorted array of items, from snacks to small meals, as well as a spectrum of desserts. The ingredients are quality and the meal I had (a personal Margherita pizza) was quite tasty. The kitchen is also extremely accommodating and flexible with food allergens--when I inquired whether or not a specific tea contained one of my allergens, the employee, who wasnt certain, was very happy to hunt down the ingredients list to ensure it was safe for me to have. Vegetarians will also be pleased to know they have many options available to them as well.I was also astonished by the library that is their playable-in-store games; an entire wall of board games available for rent ensures no amount of time at this venue will be a bore. The store also offers some beautifully painted figurines for use in their customers in-store tabletop games, and where some game stores handle such loan-items with a mountain of red-tape and suspicion, the friendly and open nature of Meeples employees convey trust in their community with such items, which was such a pleasure to experience.I will say that I noticed some of the stores items were a slight touch pricier than Ive seen in other gaming places, but its not by much, and Im honestly very happy to support the family-owned store considering how enjoyable it is, for both the lone gamer and the community as a whole. Its also worth mentioning that this locale is on the second story of a commercial building, and while its possible there might be accessibility options I did not see beyond the stairs I used, it might be worth calling the store to ask if you do have accessibility concerns.Whether youre looking to browse a diverse selection of D&D minis, are searching for a new paintbrush for your model, crave Magic the Gathering competition, or just want a cozy place to enjoy a cup of tea, I highly recommend Meeples for your next gaming experience. Atmosphere, comfort, and inclusive variety can be hard to come by in the tabletop community, and in these fields Meeples Games truly shines.

Such a great place to walk in and play some fun board games! I stumbled across this place after finding out that the vintage arcade bar in West Seattle was closed. I was nicely greeted by the front desk person and was given some board games to play solo! I was really pleased that there were board games for the solo Traveller. I really enjoyed the vibes here, and enjoyed that you can order a drink while playing board games. Its such a great place to check out!

Zero stars. Walked in and was harassed with a list of rules instead of being greeted, was told my 1 year old son had to wear a mask that didn’t fit. Called ahead of time and was given a lack luster response in how to find items online. Store is in a very awkward location that isn’t easy to find. Was literally about to spend $1000 dollars on some warhammer 40k and was greeted with the worst customer service. These places are closing left and right and then wonder why. Horrible experience!

Legit spot for buying (all the time) and playing (in non-pandemic times) all the best games. Beer on tap is always good and their food is miles better than your average non-restaurant establishment.

Meeples has always been my go-to place for board games and TRPG materials. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and the store boasts a wide variety of options. Theres something for everyone from casual players and newbies to veterans and hard core gamers. I am especially impressed with their health and safety precautions in light of COVID. A point of inspiration for all the lovely folks at Meeples!

I haven’t been to kind of place like this. I was shocked. Huge collection of games. The staff are great and friendly. I really liked this place for their atmosphere and you always can find something new.

What a West Seattle gem. This place has the most friendly and knowledgeable staff. My husband and I come here pretty frequently to get a couple drinks, eat a plate of nachos, and play a round or two of some wonderful game the staff has suggested we play based on whatever vague interests we said we had at that time. The place is always bubbling with intense gamers and laughter. They also have a great selection of games for sale that theyre more than happy to guide you through.

Location was a little tricky to get to since its on the 2nd floor of the backside of a building, but the interior was well lit, clean, and organized better than most gaming stores ive been to. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. I have a new favorite gaming shop and its Meeples

The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the game selection (both for borrowing and buying) is fantastic. I really like the brochures with regular event information, I found it very helpful to be able to carry that and put it on my calendar.

This place is so cool. There are a ton of fun games and they are so friendly. They will help you find a game that matches your group and play style. The food is good. I especially like that they have vegetarian options.

Friendly, all inclusive cafe and games. Monday evening Dungeons and Dragons is a big deal, 7 or 8 tables of people of all ages and abilities having a great time. No cost to play if you spend at least $5.00 on food/drinks and you can easily have dinner for under $10.00. Thursday evening is board game night and an employee guides you through two new games. Massive selection of games in stock. If you like board games, this is Nirvana!

Its a good layout with a decent sized space for you to play games and there is an impressive selection of free up try games! Just a little hard to see from the street as it is on the second floor and entry is in the back.

I have started a D&D campaign and looking to do Shadowrun, but dont quite have the supplies I need. Well, stopping in to Meeples Game was a great idea because one of the owners, Laura, was super helpful. She was kind, helpful, showed me around, and talked me through options for my campaign ideas. I ended up buying some minis, but I think Ill be stopping by more often because I had such a great experience. If youre into boardgames or want to get into a community, this is the place!

Great rainy day activity! I love coming here in the evening, getting a cup of tea and playing a new game recommend by the friendly staff. They have an amazing free game library to play from and the staff is very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of tea, probably the best in West Seattle actually. They also have lots of affordable snacks and beverages. (Espresso and alcohol.) Very family friendly place. I love coming here!

This is a great shop for a few friends and tabletop. They do a great job of staying family friendly without you feeling out of place going there with an adult group. I feel like the beer selection helps that. Good library of borrow games. Super knowledgeable staff.

Just visited for the first time and we’ll definitely be back when we’re in Seattle again. A huge selection of games and a wonderful, helpful staff. A terrific, inexpensive way to spend a few hours. Every city in the country should have a place like Meeples.

An EXCELLENT place to go!! The gaming section is diverse. Its not your average set of board games you get off the shelf at Walmart, folks! They are possibly a bit pricey. We bought one that was $20 and one that was $50.But dont shy away! You can also borrow games and try them out if you buy something from the cute little cafe thats part of the store! You dont have to buy a game. We bought lunch and sat and played a game recommended to us (which was fun by the way) for an hour and ate. No one was trying to kick us out. The culture is to come in and have a good time. Everyone around us was involved in their own game, as well. There were families as well as groups of friends.The cafe and game store staff were extremely polite and helpful! The food was good, no complaints. The cafe was very clean and you can bus your dishes to a bus bin. Bring cash for tips.It was a charming place. We will definitely be coming back. For those who are inclined, there are also playing card events held here like Magic the Gathering and I read they host gaming camps for younger children, too.Meeples is on the second floor at the back of the building. There are signs to help. There is also a parking lot in the back you can park in for an hour max.

Great place! I love how much room is dedicated to playing tables, and there is a LARGE selection of board games, cards, and pretty dice sets! (Dice are very important). The employees were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. I would love to play a game here except that its a 2 hour drive! Also the cafe is great, I didnt get any food but the selection was quite a pleasant surprise, and they have GOOD tea.. I dont drink coffee, so its always wonderful when there is a nice selection of tea besides generic black tea or generic green tea. Ill make this a frequent stop whenever we find ourselves across the water. :)

Great gaming store. They have coffee, beer on tap 🤷‍♀️. Not a large selection of board games for the size of the store but they definitely have a few good titles but most of the store seems aimed at kids under 14yrs so don’t expect a lot. I still highly recommend this store but am still looking for a board game store in the area more adult oriented

Meeples is an amazing game store for nerds of all ages. They have a variety of events that are always happening, they have games for all levels from children to beginner to casual to hardcore. They have a great are where they feature suggested games, that are always well recommended. Everyone in the store loves to play something, and there is always someone knowledgeable about whatever game you want to know more about. Employees will also happily take the time to teach you a game, and they have an expansive lending library.On top of all of this, they have a wonderful cafe with great food, and they are always adding new delicious things to the menu. I havent had a bad meal there, and sometimes my boyfriend and I will specifically stop there just to eat.Overall, this place is well worth a stop for anyone who enjoys any level of board game.

I love meeples so much I play magic there almost every Friday. This is my favorite game store I have been to great employees. I go there so much all the employees know my name.

A nice place to enjoy some time playing games. Bring your own or borrow a game to use. Explanations are offered if youve never played a game or are unsure how to interpret the rules. Cookies, vegetable plates, a variety of different loose leaf teas, as well as several beers and ciders are available. Park on the street. The parking lot has a 20-minute time limit. Elevator can be used if you dont want to use the stairs.

Small location but more family friendly than a place like Card Kingdom. The menu is limited but they allow game table reservations and the atmosphere is much more neighborhood and less destination point for tourists.

I cant say enough how amazing this place is. There are many places in west Seattle that sell board games, but none like Meeples that Ive found so far that even have supplies for mini-figs and a whole dedicated cafe for the community to enjoy games and food with each other! Its such a great idea, and I know Ill be coming back again as soon as I can! If not to get some more games or enjoy the great food but to also see if I can find Waldo, the stores little mini game; find him and you get some awesome stuff from the store!

Hidden gem! Nice space, wide selection of board, card games, and model making supplies. Friendly staff and a casual cafe for sustinance during your marathon gaming sesh. They have new and used games AND a library of games behind the register allowing you to try out any game you like for free to a)have fun and b)decide if it is one you want to buy or not. There are groups that play everything from magic or dungeons and dragons to more indie or obscure games. Great fun for all ages. Definitely check it out.

Fun, Drinks and Snacks are all available here. I visited with some friends who discussed our taste in games with the staff. They lent us a copy of Kingdominos which was fun and went well with our drinks and food. The selection of board games is amazing but is the ability of the staff to suggest something to match your interest. This is a great place to go with some friends to game!

Super nice people. Absolutely warming and loving place for Magic, and board game players of all kinds. Ive purchased a lot of cards and gear here. Only downside is no outside food and things are/can be a bit pricey. But overall, fantastic.

If youre into hobby and tabletop gaming, this is one of the best stores in the area for sure. This is the perfect place to enjoy playing games. Has room for lots of people to play Magic, D+D, various board games or classic card games. Lots of scheduled events and they have sandwiches, flatbread, snacks and beer and cider on tap. We borrowed a game from a large library of games. Dani was extra helpful getting us up to speed on a game we had not played before. She and the rest of the staff have a great enthusiastic supportive attitude. I ended up buying two of the games I tried. Also a pocket card game Dani showed us. Lots of Magic players and supplies.

Got excellent customer service when asking about board games, and the selection of miniatures were above what Ive seen in other stores. The atmosphere of employees and even other customers was really inviting and friendly. Special shout out to Dakota for going above and beyond to help.

The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly, the owner is personable and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome, and the atmosphere is cheery, with laughter and joy constantly coming from the play areas. From the look of it online, Meeples looks like a medium sized shop with some tables but really its a pretty big place. Plenty of room on both sides of the shop for gaming or chilling in the cafe.They even let me put a MTG card on my bar tab so I only had one transaction that had 2 drinks, a snack, and a card on it. 👌👌

Great place for games. Family friendly atmosphere. My son had his 8th birthday party here and everyone had a good time. The cafe kitchen was short staffed because an employee called in sick, so guests had to wait a long time for their orders. I dont hold it against the owner though, she did everything she could to keep things on track.

Great spot. My friends invited me to play D&D for the first time here and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. They have a cafe/bar and tables in the back to play and eat with friends. I only have a passing interest in board games at this moment, but I could certainly see myself getting into them more with the community and selection that Meeples provides.
