This grocery store is the most hassle-free Ive ever seen. Local and foreign products can be found here for a very low price. This shop is also very tidy, with beautifully displayed fruits and vegetables. Employees are friendly and very willing to support and assist. A store where you can purchase high-quality goods. Thank you so much!

Inevitably stores have vegetarian ingredients that only they have. In this vein Viet Wah has an exquisite selection for which any inquiring cook looking to substitute animal protein for a similar textured and sometimes taste vegan/ vegetarian option. In addition to traditional Vietnamese ingredients.

We love coming here for our Asian ingredient needs. So friendly and they’ve done an incredible job keeping the store clean, but most importantly, their fresh produce are always outstanding from green onions, cilantro, ginger to lemon grass. Cant find such clean and nice displays at the grocery stores.

Ive meet the both owner , they such a humble people. Ive been there for couple years , even so i lives in auburn, i am as a chef , i always take time to shop there, for many things, this place is not fancy supermarket, but i liked the atmosphere , price , people and the simple , kind of street looking supermarket like my country. As an immigrant i felt like home. Not all price are cheap, u got to look. Their fruit superb, and vegetable. I always buy special butter from thisnplace , very special butter, weisman.

Great supermarket. You can buy most of the products which you use in Vietnamese cuisine. Not everything is fresh (be careful with veggie and fishes). Tons of frozen products and good selection

Beware!! Snack prices displayed are not necessarily the prices you will pay at the cash register. Some snack items can increase anywhere from 30 to 100% (double) at the cash register. This is especially true for items under $5. THis is not an accident. I have noticed it on several occasions. Caucasians: beware, beware!

This is the best pan-Asian supermarket in the area with low prices and a solid assortment of fresh produce and dried goods. Its certainly not up to the posh standards of modern American supermarkets but then again the prices are dramatically lower. Try their freshly made noodles by the checkout and their sliced papaya ready for salads.

I have visited Viet-Wah many times since childhood and now as an adult appreciate them more. Their prices are pretty reasonable compared to other International District grocery stores. What impresses me the most is the quality of vegetables they sell. For years, my family has purchased fresh vegetables from Viet-Wah and they tend to last much longer than vegetables from other grocery stores. They just look like theyre in great condition as well. The parking lot is a nice plus too. This is the first place I think of when shopping for Asian groceries in the International District.

This is where you want to go for more authentic ingredients and experience. The meat department is fairly well stocked. Its a bit smelly, and it wants for shiny clean floors, but I havent seen any ridiculously bad cleanliness issues. Its an experience!

Viet-wah is not the antiseptic wasteland that many supermarkets have become nowadays. Somehow its retain a little bit of real-life flair. The smell of live seafood will probably put some people off, but thats their fault and they can always go to a drug store to feel at home.Best selection of cheap Asian ingredients that Ive found in Seattle. The name assumes Vietnamese foodstuffs, but their inventory ranges to Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese, Korean, etc.

Viet Wah is a great Vietnamese grocery store with amazing prices. Has exactly everything needed to make Vietnamese dishes. The products are fresh. Theres a slight smell in the store itself. The parking lot is inconvenient as it slants upwards and is hard to get around easily. Otherwise everything is great!

Very good deals and fresh produce. I like the quality for the price. You can tell there was care put into preparing all the vegis. Cheaper than Uwajimaya and better quality than most of the smaller stores around the international district. Store front could use a face-lift but I read they will be remodeling in the near future.

I, too, did a price comparison for Viet-Wah and Uwajimaya (mostly for the produce section). Uwajimaya has more expensive oranges but cheaper pears. Eggs at both places are about the same. Maybe veggies are a bit cheaper here, but I will stick with Uwajimaya because the store is much cleaner and better (read no smell of durian and fish sauce) and cashiers are friendlier.

I went to Viet-Wah to get a variety of ingredients I was certain my local QFC would not have in stock, and I was not disappointed. The service at Viet-Wah was friendly from the time I walked in the door until I left. The signage in English is helpful for non-Asian language speakers, and there is a nice variety of the same kind of product. There was enough parking for the people there, so visiting was easy and I will go back.

Like most mom and pop Asian stores, Viet-Wah could use a facelift on the inside. But....They have great prices on their fruits and veggies. Looking for an Asian spice, or sauce? They probably have it. The seafood section doesnt look too inviting, but the clams are clean and priced right. The meats look better than other small Asian grocery stores too. Between Viet-Wah and Safeway I have all my shopping needs covered.

In the last week, I did some food shopping at Viet-Wah and Uwajimaya to compare (I had recently moved to Seattle from California). I have to say, Uwajimaya was a much better store, with a better selection and not more expensive than VietWah. The difference in quality was very stark.
