I rarely write reviews, and I was reluctant to write this one because shading companies is not something I enjoy, but I would not want anyone else to go through what I did. To say I was disappointed is putting it lightly. I could go into detail, but Ill stick to the highlights.I brought in my laptop because it was freezing up on me repeatedly. They charged $59 to diagnose the problem, and the associate was pretty sure it was because of a virus or malware. She saw something in my search engine settings that she said was malware, and they would get to it.It took a while to get an update, but ultimately got a response that they would eliminate any viruses/malware and fix my computer, which would cost $220. I agreed. Several days later, I picked up the computer, and within 30 minutes of using it, it froze again. I took it back, and they could not duplicate the problem.I was already losing faith in them fixing the problem, and a friend of mine suggested adding more RAM could be a solution. Doubling my RAM cost me about $50, and took me about 15 minutes to do on my own. It fixed the problem.Not only did anyone at Data Doctors even bother to suggest this fix, but I also compared the prices they quoted for them to do the work, (add RAM) and realized that they were perfectly comfortable charging an egregious mark up not just on the product, but for minimal and simple labor.And the malware that they saw when I originally brought it in? It was still there after all of this.I disputed the charge because I was in to them for almost $300 and the problem had not been fixed. Data Doctors stuck to their guns and stuck me with a $220 bill (the $59 charge was reversed). What did I get for that $220? An expensive lesson for trusting the professionals...***RESPONSE TO DATA DOCTORS REPLY***Your company did challenge the credit card dispute.You wrote we do take your concerns seriously and hope that the refund you received in full shows that we are not pleased when a customer is not happyMy refund in full was for $59 for an inaccurate diagnosis but got stuck with a bill for $220 because you TRIED to fix the problem and you were unsuccessful. I found a solution on my own that cost $50... prior to implementing that solution, I got a quote from your company for the labor and material to do the same and if I remember correctly would have cost well over double. No one suggested increasing the RAM. The malware we saw on my initial visit wasnt even removed. Why would I go back to have you try again? I was already disappointed and had lost faith in your ability to resolve the issue. I did not want to give my computer back to you to try again, or incur additional fees for you to add the RAM that had been suggested to me. It was a mistake to go there in the first place. Lesson learned...

Not forthcoming with charges, told me it would be $59 to transfer my husbands data onto a hard drive, then said another fee would be added, after my computer was opened up and they were working on it. Employee also said she would call me when they got to the stage where they needed the password, as I did not know it offhand. I never heard from her so two days later I called in with the info and asked what was going on. She replied sort of callously, I thought you were going to call us. No apology, no professionalism just...this is how much more it will cost you, so what do you want to do, type of attitude. I declined and was never called to say my computer was put back together, as a courtesy. Yes, I said I would come and collect it, but just pick up the phone and LMK its ready, its not difficult. I guess if I had paid more $$ I would have received a call back.

Super helpful and made me feel like I understood what they’d be doing to my computer.

These folks are the best. I have one or another had them help me, my friends and family perform repairs, upgrades or what ever was needed for more than 20 years. A++++++ to deal with!!!

My grandpas computer was unresponsive. We brought it into Data doctors and for a flat price they were able to do a diagnosis, and then fixed the problem in two days which was awesome! The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had.

Have an old school carbon fiber Sony Vaio that still rocked... until it didnt. Took it to Data Doctors and they were able to save the day - reinstalled the OS that could no longer be found AND recovered the data. Was completely blown away and am now a complete fan of Zack and his cohorts. These guys ARE good!

Computer would not boot up. After numerous attempts to troubleshoot at home, I called Data Doctors on Hayden Rd to get professional help. I chose them due to excellent customer ratings, and their proximity to my home. Sean listened to my description of the problem and invited me to bring my laptop into the shop. When I dropped my computer off, he outlined what they would do to discover the problem and that they would keep me updated as things progressed. They found the problem, then contacted me to outline the steps they would take to fix things. My computer was ready to go within the time frame provided. Works like a charm. Their charge for making the repairs was reasonable. They also offered several levels of service contract in case I experienced problems in the future. I chose a plan that seemed to be useful to me at a reasonable price. I will definitely return to Data Doctors if I encounter challenging computer problems in the future.

I have enjoyed work with Data Doctor and have found the people I have interacted with both responsive and professional. Zack was particularly helpful recently with my computer issues. He figured out the problem and consulted with me before making the corrections. I really appreciated him expertise.

Wayne and James were very helpful in helping us understand the problems with our devices and what we can do about them.

Our local Data Doctors in Boulder, CO has closed so we contacted our previous location (Scottsdale,AZ). Zack was able to work with this technologically challenged client to fix printer connection, update programs, answer battery life questions, assist with Google categories. WONDERFUL!

Kevin, at the Scottsdale store, has always provided excellent service. I have complete faith in his competence and ability to solve my IT problems. I keep adding additional computer to my plan because of his service level.I was recently helped by Sierra and her work and responsiveness is simply outstanding. I highly recommend her and this location.

Have never had a bad experience with Data Doctors! Kevin and his associates address my problems in a timely manner. They are always pleasant and whatever needs to be replaced/fixed doesnt break my budget (so far!). And I always learn something new about computers when I drop off/pick up.
