Very nice neighborhood bistro. The new ownership is a family operation and have keep the original menu. Friendly service , clean dining area inside and outside patio with pets allowed. I have had the fit breakfast several times and it is consistently very good. It is definitely worth a try.

Please consider it is open limited hours and has peak times.If you want to sit and chat you could consider dining on their patio? Plenty of parking. On south side of McDowell Rd, close to Hayden Rd.

This used to be a 5 star definite go to but I think it’s been sold or had some other major changes. The staff has been replaced and it’s just not as friendly as it used to be. The food unfortunately has gone from exceptional every time to sub par at best. Heartbreaking that we need to find a new breakfast spot.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed! The gentleman and lady waiting the bar and tables were incredibly helpful and friendly. The coffee is soooo good!!! Best of all, they brought us a carafe of it so we could keep refilling it ourselves. I had one of the daily specials: bacon and cheddar quiche, fruit cup and the mammoth muffin that went with it. They were all quite tasty and very filling. While my friend had a made to order omelette with hash browns and toast that he really enjoyed. What a find!

Perfectly cooked chorizo and eggs on the southwest Benedict. Coffee was delicious for diner coffee. There is also a few outdoor two person shaded stone tables in the park behind the cafe. No need for patio, pick up the food to go and eat back there in complete isolation outdoors! Great little local spot.

I came up to Scottsdale to get my hair done and I found this darling little place on Yelp! Thank you Yelpers!! This cafe hit it out of the park!I was greeted with a big smile as soon as I walked in and sat at the counter! The gentleman next to me was obviously a regular because the waitress yell out to him. Hello Mr Milkshake! Gotta love of a place that does that! Anyway, I ordered my Eggs Benedict and they were perfect! The coffee was awesome and the apple juice was ice cold! This place is adorned with Chicago paraphernalia so I felt right home!If youre looking for a good breakfast joint, ya gotta try this joint! Good food and good service!! Go Cubs!!!

This is a small cozy Cafe. The wait staff was pleasant. The issue I have is about my meal. I ordered California Benedict. I told the wait staff the eggs have to be poached hard. When it came out the first time the eggs were very runny and not poached hard. I told the wait staff that I could not eat them due to a health issue. She took them back and have the cook remake it. They came back the 2nd time and the eggs were a little more well done but not to where I could eat them. The wait staff said what is wrong with these as she took my fork cut the eggs open. I told her that they are better but still under cook due to my health issue. The wait staff said well you are going to have to order something else. We are not going to throw out more food. This is too hard for the cook to make. I told her that I wouldnt eat the eggs but the other stuff. The hash browns were under cooked to. They didnt even reduce the price of my meal. The person next to me sent back a biscuit because it was under cook. I will not be going back.

This place is SO cute! The waitress was the nicest lady in the world, we had such an amazing time. Their patio is dog friendly, super plus! I dont think they sell alcohol but their food, service, atmosphere is wonderful. Will absolutely be back, probably for the service because that was one of the nicest ladies Ive ever met in my life. Its got a mom & pop type of vibe and a vintage-ish look inside. 10/10 would recommend! Keep your eyes open or you just might miss it!

Was around the area for work, decided to give this place a shot for breakfast.I sat to eat at the bar. Karlee took excellent care of all the customers at the bar including myself. Very friendly and attentive. She was on top of it!She suggested the Country Fried Steak and it was amazing. I have tried many of that in different places and this one is in my top three now. I will be back for sure.

What a quaint little place. I loved it! From their clean bathrooms to their great food! Im happy to have found this place by accident. The chicken fried steak plate was delicious. My son had the childrens French toast plate with bacon and egg and he said it was the best French Toast hed ever had. I think Im offended! 😂😜 I highly recommend this Cafe. Found this place while searching for a place to grab breakfast on our way from the airport to Sedona. It is a small little joint with little seating but we didnt mind sitting outside. Service was great, very friendly! I had the avocado scramble and it was pretty good. Glad we stopped in!

Walked in expecting a cafe and instead found a delightful diner the same size.Although no claims to fame were listed on the menu, everything was expertly crafted between the fluffy eggs, pillow like pancakes, and plentiful strong coffee. The very least this place deserves is 5 stars.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in town! Been coming here for years and no other place can beat their biscuits and gravy. Nancy the owner is always in and treats you like family. With Covid, they have been doing a great job keep the place extra clean! Wouldnt go anywhere else for breakfast.

I am from Chicago, recently moved to Scottsdale so I needed to see this place. The Chicago decor put me thousands of miles back home and instantly brought a smile to my face. Not only was the food incredibly well cooked but the service of the two elderly women who run this place are two of the sweetest, most attentive staff Ive ever dealt with. The location is small and quaint, perfect for that home style cafe vibe they pride themselves on. I assure you, if you want your spot for weekend brunch and you dont take this place, youll be missing out while everyone else is endulging in the food, and the spirit of the place. ALSO, Pet friendly patio so you never have to go alone!ADDED: They have the best to-go baked goodies every morning that remind me of my grandmothers kitchen growing up. Please try this place, If not for anyone but yourself. You deserve this treat and they deserve you.

We are Snow Birds from a NW Chicago Burb and ate Breakfast here last Friday on the Dog Friendly Patio sitting in the Sun soaking up Vitamin D(kills the Virus?) while my Neighbors back home are shoveling our Driveway! If you are looking for the VIBE (and big $$) of a North Scottsdale Restaurant dont go here! If you want a great Hot, Home Cooked Breakfast, at very fair prices, with unbelievable Service,(Carol is the best!) then you need to try Temptations Cafe. The Chicago Sports Memorabilia (Cubs, Bears, Hawks, Bulls, White Sox, etc.) all along the Walls behind the Counter are just part of the Ambiance of the place and even if you are not Chicago fans, WE ALL need to support a Local Restaurant trying to stay afloat during these extremely hard times.

My wife and I went early on a Sunday so we were some of their first patrons of the day, but the staff was very friendly the service was fast, my coffee cup was never empty and the food was amazing. Great prices great atmosphere wonderful coffee, and I never thought I would compliment a restaurant on their water, but, for being in the valley the water was delicious as well. Will definitely be back when were in the area again.

My friend and I go to this Little Gem of a place a few times a month! Super cozy and clean. I love the laid back atmosphere and the owner is a nice pleasant lady. The food portions are just right, not too much food, not too little. The prices are great, the quality is excellent. I highly recommend everyone trying this place at least once. Cause then you will see how delicious the food is for yourselves.

Visit Az and Scottsdale often. Found a GEM - Temptations Cafe! Atmosphere is amazing! Small Mom and Pop type with excellent food. This has been the BEST SERVICE I have EVER HAD! Food - Great, Service - Best Ever. My girlfriend and I love this place. 110% recommended.

Place looks good, folks are real nice, food was just bad. I wanted to like this place but I just cant. They have to hold the record for the worlds heaviest pancakes - way to dense. Bacon tasted like a grease stick. I hope I caught them on an off day.

Actually, my breakfast steak was overcooked, but I received multiple apologies and offers to provide a freshly cooked steak, which I declined. The steak I received was still edible and the eggs and crisp hash browns were perfection. The eggs were cooked as requested (over medium-surprisingly difficult for many cooks) and the crispy hash browns I specifically asked for were not overcooked like I generally end up with. They were deliciously crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. I will definitely be back. Ive been on a quest to find the perfect steak and egg place, and although my first visit left me a little disappointed as far as the steak, the service and vibe of Temptations has encouraged me to give them another try. And like I previously stated, the steak was still tasty, if not very juicy. And it is difficult to get a medium rare with a thinner breakfast steak. It is less than 2 miles from home, walking distance from work (I work nights and it opens about the time I get off work). They have a surprisingly diverse breakfast/lunch menu for such a small, neighborhood eatery and they have definitely come the closest to checking off all the boxes on my list. I noticed a lot of regulars during my visit that were greeted by name when they were welcomed at the door. There was adequate counter and table seating on my visit on a late morning weekday. Im not sure I would try to go there on a weekend, but I think the wait would be worth it. Yeah, this was a really long review, but I just had a good feeling about the place and really want to encourage people in the area to give it a try. I dont think youll be disappointed

Food tasted good. Local little place with only the word Cafe readable from the street. Show a bit hard to find. Not sure if it was a mental thing just because my nieces saw but both of them felt sickafter eating there and the waitress picked up one of their pancakes with her bare hands to box it up!

I always convince my friends and family to go here on the weekends. They always want to go to a breakfast joint that is way to busy and you end up waiting an hour to sit down. Never once have I waited to sit down and eat here. The food is great and the vibe is like sitting down at the table to eat a family breakfast at home. The Staff have always been friendly and quick to fill the coffee. Thanks.

We were there on a Friday morning about 8:30. The place was fairly empty. After getting our coffee we waited, and waited, and waited for someone to come get our order. We finally saw a server seating a couple and told her we were ready to order. She said she would be right back, then ignored us for another 10 minutes. After finally getting someone to take our order, the server was not very friendly. It took another 30 minutes for our food to come. In the meantime, others who came in after us were treated nicely and got their food before us. Dont go here if you are hungry or in a hurry.The food was good, when finally came, an hour after we walked in.

My husband and I wanted a cup of coffee. We found so much more. Great food, charming atmosphere and a good cup of coffee. We will definitely be back.

I have been meeting my business partner here for weekly meetings for about a year, I would guess about 40 times now. We love this place and found it accidentally while driving past it looking for an outdoor place. First of all, when it cools down, their outdoor patio is fantastic! Eating indoors is great too. The place is clean, cozy and fun.The owner, Milo, is a really cool guy. He goes the extra mile to provide good service and hes got a great sense of humor to boot. The rest of the staff is wonderful too.Their food is fresh, delicious and good prices. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have enjoyed all of it. They will go the extra mile to accommodate special requests when possible.We will keep coming back to Milos (thats what we call it) because theres nothing not to love!

We live close by and took the chance one day and walked in. At first glance... Looks like a standard cafe however; it doesnt take long till you realize the place is much much more.The cafe is clearly family run. There is no shortage of neighborhood popularity and one can both see (and taste) why.The customer care is amazing; you get treated more like old friends. Things take a bit of time when the place fills up so dont come in just to get a quick bite.The Eggs Benedict is amazing as is the quiche of the day. The price is right too. They have a few tables both in and outside and a large bar.One would be selling themselves short not to give this best kept secret a shot. I love it.

This small but friendly place was truly a welcoming experience. The staff were extremely friendly and the service felt like you were at home. We had huevos rancheros breakfast platter and an old fashioned grilled cheese with turkey (I subbed turkey in for ham). The food is reasonably priced and well made. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.

Was excited to meet an potential client there because we love supporting local places. Pulled up and saw their sign saying best coffee in town. Now I was really intrigued! We got there before the potential client and took a seat at the counter because all the tables were filled (it was 10 a.m.) When a table opened up, we grabbed it so we could carry on a conversation better.Got the coffee. Now maybe I added too much creamer, I always try and give the benefit of the doubt, but it was lukewarm, and not the best in town in my opinion. We ordered 2 meals and we all had coffee. We talked as we were eating, but no more did we finish eating, and we told we need this table. I was completely taken back. Were we really getting kicked out. Yep, we were.I realize they are a small cafe and table space is valuable, but there was space outside and at the counter. I do not like leaving a bad review, but maybe because we werent regulars we got treated this way? I asked my partner when we left if he thought that was a bit uncalled for, and he is usually the one who will defend someone and tell me I am overreacting, but he actually agreed.

Terrible experience. I ordered a coffee and was checking up on emails when the owner told me I had to give up my table. There were literally four empty tables. She simply didnt want me to take up space if I wasnt paying enough. Ok, as a business person, understood. But the way she went about it was rude and disrespectful.
